Lillian rubbed Roxy's head as she listened to Adrian. "I can believe that you wouldn't. Seeing something like that must have been like a nightmare, though you'd not be able to wake from that." she said in reply before looking at what Adrian had made. "It's cute." she said smiling as she took it from Adrian. "I usually go swimming when I get bored." she said, chuckling in reply to Adrian's last statement, as she examined the opal and arrowhead.

{{ooc: Sorry if this isn't much and that I've not replied until now. I have a lot of RL things on my mind and I'm kind of out of it due to said things.}}

Adrian shrugged. "One of the reasons why I don' t go into the city much is because... well... I'm different; I tend to sense things that most people wouldn't, though honestly they're lucky for it... and I have knowledge up here," he said with a light tap of the tip of his finger to his temple, "that is most certainly... abnormal," he said quietly.

OOC- It's okay; stress tends to make us forget things... trust me, I know since one of my friends volunteered me for something next week but didn't tell me about it until the day before yesterday, not to mention I have heard of the thing he volunteered me for, yet a: I've never worked for this particular thing, and b: I haven't been to one in nearly fourteen years.

Lillian looked up at Adrian as she heard him speaking again, though Roxy pushed into her, distracting her. "Roxy, please don't do that... I know that you want attention, though you can wait a bit longer." she said to her dog before returning her attention back to Adrian. "Being different isn't always a bad thing... I mean 'different' doesn't even have to be the word to describe it. You're just unique and there's nothing wrong with that at all." she gave in reply to Adrian. She heard him saying something else, though she wasn't able to hear what was said because Roxy jumped off the bed and started barking her head off out the window. "Would you shut up Roxy?!" she said in a scolding manner to her dog, yet the red husky wouldn't stop barking. "Must be a cat or something out there in that tree..." she muttered as she tossed a pillow at the dog.

Adrian felt a cold rush down his spine and frowned, his eyes narrowing. "Remember what I said about paying attention to her could save lives? This may be such a time, unfortunately... o jelä peje hängen," he said as he muttered the last part through clenched teeth; the phrase, he knew, was utterly alien to Lillian and sounded more like 'O yella be-he han-yain'. He however, knew what it translated as: a blunt curse that meant 'sun scorch it'. He could see fire ants boiling out of the ground beneath the trees and unconsciously glanced up, seeing twilight skies. It was then that he noticed the flicker of the emaciated form with dull gray skin drawn tight over the body and head though its appearance belied its dangerous strength and viciousness. He quickly darted out of the room, back to the guest room where he grabbed the compound bow as well as several arrows he'd fashioned and saved before darting back to Lillian's room at high speed; he knew it seemed as if he'd been gone less than a minute, which was close to the truth.

Lillian sighed as Roxy continued barking out the window and didn't seem to be stopping. 'What's gotten into that dog...?' she thought to herself before she heard Adrian speaking. She looked at him thinking that he could possibly be right, though she really did not want to think that her dog sensed something that was potentially dangerous. When she heard the last bit of what Adrian said she looked at him with an utterly confused look about her face, though said nothing to him because she hadn't the time before he left the room and was back almost as fast as he had left.

"How did you...???" she asked in a baffled tone as she looked at Adrian who had his bow and arrows he had gotten that day. She had to check what exactly had made Roxy start barking like mad and had caused Adrian to move like lightening to get his bow and return to the room. However, when she tried to go to the window, Roxy grabbed her clothes in her teeth and yanked her back. "Roxy...? Why...? What's out there...???" she asked, trying to pulled her clothes from the dog's mouth without tearing them.

Adrian barely took his eyes off of the undead creature stalking towards the home. His eyes, unnoticed for the most part, had lightened from the slate gray they naturally were to an unusual crystalline silvery white. He himself did not even realize that the change in his irises marked a critical fact about him: that it was very likely that his 'godparents' were possibly his aunt and uncle as there was only one bloodline whose eye color changed under stress. A low soft voice that was pleasant to one's ear murmured quietly, cajoling to be let in; Adrian sensed the compulsion behind the words and pinched Lillian's forearm to get her attention. "He's trying to compel anyone near a window or door to let him in... if that happens, we're all screwed," he said in a low voice as he shifted the bow, drawing the fletchings of one arrow to his cheek. He murmured only one phrase under his breath in the native tongue. "Avoi nìak, ködet tappa," he murmured.

When lillian finally removed her clothes from Roxy's mouth she turned to walk to the window, almost if she were being called; only to have her arm grabbed by Adrian. She almost said "Hey." But she stopped herself and listened to Adrian's words. "You mean.... I was just about to..." she murmered before feeling Roxy pulling on her sleeve. She turned to the dog and then knelt beside her, hugging her tightly saying, "I am so sorry that I could have gotten us all killed..." Roxy pulled from her owner's arms before moving to the window, snarling and growling with her ears flattened against her head.

Adrian didn't look Lillian's way, focused entirely on where he sensed the damned creature at. "That's why it's called 'compulsion', though it's clear you were resistant to it," he said with mild amusement before he abruptly released the quartz tipped arrow, which fired at high speed through the window and hit the vampire squarely in the chest, pinning him to the tree behind him; he knew it wouldn't kill the creature, but it would subdue him for several minutes until the hardened layered pine-birch arrow with the steel core was eaten through. "It'd be easier if that storm were closer and that thing was out in the open; the arrows I've got have a steel core; lightning would surge through it and the arrowhead straight into the heart, incinerating it and destroying the vampire from within; take out the heart, you take out the vampire... the myths are true on that, at least... though merely staking one isn't really enough," he said with a sigh as he quickly fired a second arrow through the same hole, this time hitting the vampire squarely in the throat, making its starting howl of fury rattle off abruptly though the windows cracked in front of them from the pulse of dark power regardless of the lack of sound. He shifted slightly as his gaze flicked upward, noticing the storm darkening an instant before he noticed a golden eyed, black haired woman in what seemed to be a wolf skin cloak gliding across the yard. The sudden flare of lightning that arced from the clouds to the vampire blinded him for a second as he clearly heard the vampire's howl of mingled hatred, pain, and anger before it tapered away into silence other than the distant rumbles of thunder.

Lillian wanted to do something to help, though she really doubted that there really was anything that she could do. "I guess... But what would have happened if I'd not have been resistant...?" she said, even though she knew full well what would have happened if she'd have let that thing into the house. She soon thought of her mother, father and anyone else that could have potentially let in the creature and shuddered. "I'm so stupid... I should learn to pay more attention to Roxy..." she mumbled to herself, going to sit on her bed. She put her head in her hands and tried not to let the fact that there was honestly a creature that she had thought wasn't real outside her house. 'This can't be happening... This all has to be just some horrible dream that I'll wake up from... I don't want to know that these things are real... Why are they real...?' she thought to herself; She also thoughtof how she'd never have known of these creatures if not for Adrian. However, she was definately glad that he was there to help her or she and her whole family would have been killed.

Adrian chuckled. "I don't know, but I know that your reaction is identical to mine... in fact, you're reacting more calmly than I did... though I wonder who... s**t!!" he said with amusement, yelping the last word as he saw the gold eyed woman leaning against the windowsill, obviously balanced on the roof in a crouch, while staring in at them. The odd wolfskin cloak was still around her shoulders, though he knew instinctively that it and the woman was more than they appeared. Ivory tilted her head, watching the pair within as well as the dark reddish brown husky. "I wonder who these two are; it is clear that the boy could sense Alvazar before he made his presence known and he is almost immune to the compulsion the vampire used," she murmured thoughtfully through her telepathic bond with her husband and mate.

OOC- The color of Ivory's text is almost precisely the color of her eyes, so it's clear.

Lillian heard that Adrian was chuckling as he spoke, though she wasn't sure that she herself could chuckle right then; she was just to scatterbrained over the fact that there were things that she thought to be fantasy or myth actually living in the world. "I guess that I'm acting calm... I'm probably a bit in shock over all this..." she said as she flicked her head up after hearing Adrian swearing. Her eyes went huge as they settled on the woman outside her window, wondering who the woman was and what she may do to them. Roxy glared at the woman outside the window letting out a warning growl; putting herself between the window and Lillian. She was not about to let anyone harm Lillian, even if that meant giving her life for her owner and friend.

{{ooc: All right ^^ And I thought that I should probably use a different color for Roxy so that I don't mix up what I put for her and Lillian XD Since I have done that before sweatdrop }}

Adrian blinked when the woman spoke. He snorted at Lillian's words. "It wouldn't surprise me," he said with a slight shrug. His eyes flicked to the woman when she spoke, snorting slightly. I doubt she knows anything about 'being raised' abnormally, he thought. Ivory tilted her head slightly. "That is a normal reaction to such an incident, unless you were raised to such things," she said with a faint smile. She was mildly amused at the dog's growling rather than threatened. Her eyebrow twitched slightly as she caught Adrian's thought, though she knew it was highly unlikely that either him nor the girl knew she was telepathic.

Lillian looked at her dog, who was now between her and the window and sighed. “Roxy… stop… You’re just going to provoke her…” she said as she tried letting everything process in her mind, though it was not all that easy.Roxy did not stop, despite the fact that she had been told to do so. She was going to stand between her owner and what she thought was danger until the end; if she had to.

{{ooc: What I meant was that when I'm writing the post up I sometimes confuse who's who XD I'm kinda an airhead sometimes XD I haven’t actually posted anything that was mixed up. I made sure to watch what was written before posting. And sorry if this is short.}}

Adrian remained quiet, glancing from Lillian to Ivory and back.. Ivory tilted her head at the dog. "I have no reason to harm them, nor does my lifemate," she said dryly, pushing a very light compulsion towards the dog to calm her.

Lillian looked at the woman, not even breathing as she did so and heard her words that seemed to be directed at Roxy. She did not know if she would believe the woman, though there hadn't been any hostility shown by the woman yet and she hoped that it would stay that way.Roxy stopped growling, but she did not take her eyes from the stranger at all. She did not know this person and the suddeness of her appearance had startled the dog into thinking that there was a threat; however, the dog seemed to feel that there wasn't any threat after a while.

{{ooc: I think that I may head out a bit early today... I'm not feeling so good and I haven't really got any idea why I feel sick all the sudden confused If the sick feeling goes away soon I may stay, if not then I'll probably go home.}}
