As the energy he took filled him the General was soon lifted from the spell the other eternal had cast upon him. As the calm vanished the ashy haired General set his sights on what needed to be done. He grabbed another energy orb from his pocket and consumed it in the same manner as the previous one. He couldn't take more, didn't think it safe. But he certainly needed to gather more. He had to make up for the two he'd just consumed, whether he felt up to the task or not. He had his job and mission set before him - gather energy and starseeds. And he would fulfill the duties for Painite's little mission of fun and chaos.
He knew he didn't have time to waste, damn senshi and knight would be after him. Two might be weak but one of them wasn't as weak as the other two. And that one was dangerous, he knew they'd been the one to attack him before, and he wasn't intending to tangle it up with yet another one of orders finest dogs. No longer under the lulling effects of the second attack, and with more energy, he was able to pick up his pace and make for hastily retreating and finding a place to hide and grab energy from.
It was as some person, in sheer terror, past him that he grabbed them and drained just a small amount of energy from them. Pocketing it quickly he hoped he wasn't grabbed by the remaining eternal senshi, he also hoped to keep the energy he had on him in his pocket nice and safe.

"Don't be so stupid," Ganymede said again, quieter this time, soaking in the relief that spread when Valhalla opened his eyes.
For a while he didn't know what else to say, and so instead of saying anything he just sat there and held onto him, petting his hair around the open helmet, touching his face, running a hand up and down his back when Val tried to sit up. What was he supposed to say? Anything he could possibly think of seemed either too trite or too over-dramatic—personal admissions he could not bring himself to voice around other people.
Ganymede's eyes and face were wet with tears but he paid them no mind. He helped Val sit, lowering himself further so that he could sit with him, keeping an arm behind Val's back to support him, and kissing back when Val leaned in.
"Don't," he said when Val tried to move, tightening his hold on him to keep him in place for the time being. "Don't run after him. There's no point."
There was every point. The General could very easily do the same to someone else, take their starseed or their energy or whatever else he'd come for that night, but at the moment Ganymede could not will himself to care. It was selfishness, he knew, to care more about himself, more about Valhalla, and more about their life together than he cared about the safety and lives of others, but Valhalla had done as much as he could short from killing Benitoite, and finishing the job was not something Ganymede was willing to perform or witness.
Let the General limp pathetically away to fight another day.
"I don't know if I can use my magic again," he said. It was half a lie. He could manage it, but that would be the last of it. Ganymede wasn't sure if it was wise to use it again so soon, or waste it on someone who should already know better.
"And you should rest," he continued, and paused a moment to look to the other Eternal as well to add, "both of you. Just for a minute. Then we can... we can figure out what to do. We should look for Zia," he tried, hoping the mention of her would be enough to distract Val from going after Benitoite.

Valhalla wanted to run after him, to keep him from escaping, to bring him in front of the others to... do what? Kill him? Try to purify him...? Either way seemed too heartless, but what else could be done to prevent him from chasing after other innocent civilians and senshi and knights and taking their starseeds and energy...?
But the look on Ganymede's face had him hesitating. He was upset... and although Valhalla would like to deny that he'd been rather close to death, he could see the fear and despair in those blue-green eyes he loved so much. He couldn't do that to Ganymede... he couldn't risk all of their lives again. His heart ached knowing that someone else might be hurt because of their hesitation, but until they found a way to stop these people aside from killing them... what could they really do?
"s**t, Zee..." he breathed, attempting to push himself up to stand, but ended up taking Ganymede's advice and rest just a minute or so. "She can't be far..." he said, hopeful. He was really tempted to yell out her name... if he thought he'd have the strength to manage that.
Still, as he waited to catch his breath, Valhalla leaned in to press a few what he hoped were reassuring kisses against Ganymede's temple, before pulling back to glance up between the two Eternals, noting the uncomfortable looks they seemed to have towards one another. Particularly the incredulous and suspicious look that Maia was shooting at him.
Maybe he was just being paranoid, but they didn't seem to recognize each other at all.... And then it dawned on him that maybe they really didn't know. Being so pale at the moment surely meant that the blush to his cheeks was much more prominent than it normally would have been, and he sputtered in embarrassment as he pointed from Ganymede to Maia and back.
"You... you guys know each other, right...? Like... who you are...? Lily, you know he's Paris, right?" Because if she didn't... well that would definitely explain the look of hatred he was getting!

exclaim The Negas in the area receive a message from General Painite: 'Get them to the Fun House'. There is a wicked grin in her tone, but a firm edge that says her orders are not to be taken as suggestions.
Persephone took a deep breath, brushing herself off. She knew there was more to do. This wasn't over. She noticed that there were youma and, she suspected, Negas moving in a different direction. Oh, that wasn't going to fly. She wasn't going to let them hurt anyone else! Persephone went running in the direction of the funhouse, not even considering that it might be a Bad Plan.

Message received! With little to-do, Leucite made his way toward the fun house, gathering up and herding as many civilians as possible.
"Zia right," Maia said slowly, "I saw you guys earlier ... I wanted ... but then," she said very disjointedly. She nodded not attempting to move not that she really could and smiled before her smile turned into a frown.
It was replaced by a look incredulity and suspicion when Valhalla was kissing the eternal senshi beside him. She swore she was seeing wrong, he mind didn't supply that it could possibility that the senshi before he could be Paris until she was informed of just that.
The look faded into a look of total embarrassment at having doubted her friend before she gave Gany a sad look. It had been a bit of a comfort to think Paris was normal, but it seemed none of her friends, but Alex was normal. Every time she turned around another had become a knight or a senshi.
"Sorry, I shouldn't ..." she said softly before looking up to see, "... the youma." She pointed weakly, they seemed to be leaving, really all the chaotic feeling seemed to be migrating.
She herself was going anywhere, her heart felt a little funny, causing her to rub her chest and her head was rather swimy. She didn't see the point in trying to stay Maia and let her fuku fade away.
"I feel ... funny," she admitted.
