It was then Lloyd patted her lower back lightly. "We could have a pet..." He quietly whispered in her ear. Subtlety was not his strong suit.
Meanwhile, Keith was searching for the two paladins, mainly Lilith. The order was searching for their whereabouts. He searched far and wide for her. Lilith was the one person he'd give up the lifestyle of a Paladin for, so he had other reasonings for searching for her.

(Somehow I get the sense that Keith will be dying somewhere in the course of this RP... razz ) Lilith cocked an eyebrow at Lloyd. "Oh really? What kind of pet do you know that doesn't have a face..." She countered jokingly.

"I don't, but I'd get you a pet anyway. What you like most, cats, birds, fish?" He asked Lilith. It was nice to see the normal side of her, not bound to Paladin duties at the ready 24/7 like her peers.You tend to forget people are even human that way.

(Well if they both have a love interest in Lilith, sooner or later it will come down to a fight between them especially if Keith figures out Lloyd's true nature.)
"I don't know, never really spent much time with animal..." Lilith admitted as the pair headed back to their rooms at the tavern. "Although there was this stray dog that liked to hang around the stables back at the temple..."

"Great, then well pick him up and carry him along for our adventures." Said Lloyd, once they were in Lilith's room, he set everything down on the table provided for her. "And don't even try to deny it, I'll find the dog myself and push it on you until you agree."

(True, but they're not really a moving target. They're sitting in one area and the temple would know the general direction if not the location of where they send their paladins. =P But tis just an idea for later...)
Lilith smiled but shook her head. "That was back years ago when I was just an acolyte. I doubt that dog is still around, after all it was a stray... And besides, even a healthy dog would have trouble keeping up with some of the things we do." Lilith replied, leaning her crutch against the wall before sitting down atop the bed.
(If we want to carry on with this idea we could always find some type of magical dog from mythology or D&D, that way it would live long enough to show up in UDT as well as this RP. 3nodding )

"Maybe, but perhaps we can cage it and let it out on downtime like this. Either way, if you like dogs, I'd get you a dog, or a puppy if you'd prefer that." He answered, Lloyd sat next to her, taking her free hand in his and smiled. "I take it you really are going to go back to the temple once you heal up then."

(Yeah something like that, or a Cerberus. I found a cool name to use for whichever creaturewe choose; Argos; although the story of it almost makes me cry just reading that paragraph.) "If it gets us off this topic, fine you can get me a puppy... And yes, its my duty to return to the temple and report the dracolich is dead." Lilith replied, squeezing Lloyd's hand gently. "There's no telling if the messenger got my letter to the right location. He could have taken our money and tossed it for all we know." Although she would never say it aloud for fear of someone over hearing her and relaying word of it back to the temple, Lilith was beginning to like the Blood Knight. "I'll hold you to that." Replied Lloyd, he'd really get her a puppy if she wanted one. He wondered if his friend Scarlett could get him a dog, she was useful for providing him with anything he needed. Well, mostly anything. He looked at her hand holding his, normally she wouldn't take it, much less squeeze his hand.
"Then let yourself relax till then. I want to know you, Lilith."

"Food first than nap." countered Lilith, nodding her head towards the table where Lloyd had placed the foodstuffs they'd just purchased. Releasing her grip on his hand, Lilith gave the blood knight a gentle shove on the back with her good arm, pushing him off the bed and towards the small table.
(Perhaps the village is having a festival later that night that they go to together and thats when Keith shows up? Or shall we time skip and chase the dog idea some more? I imagine they won't be making Eric until Lilith is all healed up... =P)

"Fine, fine. Just wanted to talk..." He muttered as he prepared the food for the both of them. Surprisingly, Lloyd could cook fairly well, even by basic standards.
It was later that evening, after Lilith had her nap that the two went to the night festival of the Blood Moon. It was much less a fun sight as it was an Omen, the Blood Knight had returned and would rain death upon the lands. It was a shame that the villagers had only half the story. The half they so chosen to believe.
((( Going with the festival with Keith searching all over, then timeskip and make Eric somewhere around there? )))

(Sounds about right, but remember Roxanne is a year older than Eric so when we finally bumble into Scarlett, she'll be already very pregnant.)
"Thats hardly like you..." She replied with a smile. Needless to say, Lilith had a good meal and was quickly asleep despite Lloyd's wishes to talk.

Lilith smiled at the irony of Lloyd attending a festival that was held due to his return. Well at least with him as her squire of sorts, he wasn't cruising around battlefields massacring people she thought to herself.
"Interesting reason for a festival," Lilith commented, munching on a well roasted piece of meat on a stick. "What do you think about all this? I mean this can't be a lone villages tradition or something..."

Lloyd cross his arms and looked at Lilith. "Do you really want to know?" He asked her in an melancholy tone. "Tonight, the moon is going to turn red. Crimson red, when that happens, everyone will know that the Blood Knight is still alive out there, and his opponent. Think of it as a signal to an omen."
Keith had appeared in town, he didn't get far in his searching. He stuck out like a sore thumb. Paladin this, Paladin that, no rest for the weary. Still, he could have sworn at times he saw the locks of Lilith's hair...

"Sounds sorta cool, can't wait to see it happen." returned Lilith as she finished her festival munching. "You sure this doesn't mess with your ego?"
Looking over the crowd, she could have sworn the spotted a familiar face and not one she'd come to know as familiar during her slow recovery.

"On the contrary, no. Just you these days." He complimented her. "I hate this honestly, for one reason you are sure to see. The other is because it's just a reminder of how much people hate me."
"Lilith!"
Keith yelled out to her, or at least to the back of her head. She was hurt, she sure looked it. What happened to Lilith? He ran as fast as he could and tried to reach her shoulder, only to be hit by a crate on the head that had been holding fireworks.
Not noticing him, Lloyd walked Lilith off to somewhere else to see the moon clearer. Though he couldn't shake the feeling there was someone else here. "By the way, why do you have me writing in that book? I can't see a darn thing in it whenever I try to read it."
