Avery laughed. "Wise of you." It was very possible that Kess was also snatching additional cupcakes for Sierra and her friend.
"Dessert isn't usually my forte," The brunette admitted with a slow smile. Her focus tended toward the savory. "I'm a brunch, lunch, and dinner gal, myself." Let someone else handle the sweets, Avery tended toward alcohol to finish [and start] a meal, instead.

Penelope had decided to shift tactics entirely. With her many diligent workers, it seemed safe to get people involved in general--no matter who they might be supporting!
So, when the next person approached her she offered a triple introduction. "Hello, I'm Penelope Seneca. That lady there is Avery Hollister, and the gentleman is Wallace Suite. All three of us are running for City Council. We all have wonderful cupcakes to sell and great platforms--which is why, if you have a moment, I would love to tell you why I feel I deserve your vote."
Even if he sided with one of the other candidates, at least her civic duty of informing him of the election was met!
... but maybe she had come on a little too strong (or was a little too young) for his tastes, as he walked away cupcake and informationless.

Her last attempt had been a little embarassing, but there were still so many people to meet. Penelope couldn't afford to falter too much, so she brightly asked the next woman to come by, "Excuse me, ma'am, do you have a moment to talk about the City Council Election?"
Success! Another cupcake sold, and (hopefully) another vote secured.

"Thank you ladies!" Aurora called out as two more cupcakes left her table. It seemed all that experience was paying off. Or maybe people just assumed a emptier plate meant tastier cupcakes? That was a silly assumption to make!

Looking at how few cupcakes Aurora had left, Penelope gave her a grateful smile and some friendly encouragement, "You're a cupcake selling machine, Aurora!"
The same couldn't really be said for Penelope herself, as she failed yet another sale.

The ladies that took two was almost immediately followed by a man in a business suit. "Yes I made them myself." Aurora smiled. "Thank you for your support, hope to see you at the election."
Hearing Penelope Aurora grinned a little, offering a soft wink. "I could run a bake sale in my sleep really. I think I did 3 while in Crystal Academy." Hopefully customers didn't hear that overconfidence.
