Miyuki didn't really want to take the time to argue her name with her somewhat partner of the moment. Her arm was hurting far more than she would have liked and her eyes turned utterly glacial when she saw the damage to her beloved kimono's sleeve. Oh no...that creature had not just ruined her clothing...and more offensively, laid a filthy hand on her. Eyes flashing as her normally restrained temper flared into life, Miyuki shifted her parasol to her other hand. Readying herself for another attack at the towering enemy in front of her, she glanced at the other maul patrons who seemed to have joined the little party. "Oh yes, a lovely party..." She laughed coldly to herself. Casting one last glance at Kat, she made sure not to wander too far from the other girl, having determined that keeping at least one ally near was a good thing. Her next attack missed though and she cursed as she took yet more damage when she slipped on a spilled drink and hit the floor rather ungracefully. Her pride had taken a worse sting though and Miyuki got back to her feet.

Despite the ominous grin on the reaper's face, Ruth lightly gave the fur on the top of Van's head a light ruffle. She would have added a little peck on his nose too but the situation suddenly changed around them. Idly, she twirled her baseball bat, waiting for another window of opportunity as she skated on over beside Kari. She gave the other reaper ghoul a pat on the shoulder. Whether it was for comfort or to push her forward towards the large shadowling, it was up for debate.

"Hey, he's not stupid," Pyxis gently insisted, countering Domino's namecalling. "He had a plan! That's smart stuff." A plan that needed to be addressed in a timely manner, at that.
"Yes, okay, somewhere more safe! Maybe one of the stores? But one with exits so we don't get trapped or anything! That would be bad!" After idly plucking up a lollipop and stuffing it into his cheek, he used his improved height to their advantage, looking for a clear space.
There were not many clear spaces to be had.
"We can try that way?" He tapped Prince Fluffytail on the head and pointed in the vague direction of 'that way'. "Ummm, uuumm, maybe kinda fast though, they look like they're getting bigger and maybe more mad..." Anxiously, he shifted on his shoulders. Maybe they should've listened to the stuff the speaker said. But then he wouldn't be with his new friends. No, this was better, because they were awesome enough to beat the eating shadows and then hang out.

Boing! Boing! The girl hopped along happily darting about the heartless as people fought with them, not quite sure what to make of it. This seemed rather endless, but she should help right?
Or... maybe not.
Her eyes grew as round as saucers as she watched the things melt away and turn into a REALLY BIG and angry looking shadow thing. Oh, oh that was... well it looked fun. People were fighting with it and trying to hard. She should try to. It hadn't even noticed her yet so she had a chance oh yes she did!
A quick bounce to her step and she jumped up on a table, leaping at the thing with what she hoped to be a sharp kick. It wasn't nearly as effective as she'd hope, merely grazing the beast before he flung her back through the air with a swift wallop in midair. But hey, she hit it?
Thump. And straight into a bunch of hats from a hat rack. "Aww... I was doing it right..." She whimpered a bit pitifully as she got up. Simply flicked her tail a bit before watching the creature rampaging further. "NEXT TIME! I'm going to win next time!" As if the thing was listening.

Domino didn't even have the fight in him after his brilliant fall on to his face. When Hairwolf picked him up by the scruff of his neck, he didn't even fight.

Unfortunately, escape didn't seem very plausible. Certainly not with that big baddie looming overhead.

He let go of his hold on Domino and then carefully lifted Pyxis from his shoulders, setting the little boil on the ground. "You'll be alright?" he asked, mildly concerned with his teams fighting abilities.

Ruth was simply savoring the mixed emotions in the Maul. There were those who were frightened, those who were frustrated, those who were angry, those who were confused -Ruth suddenly found her attention drawn by a figure being flung into a hat rack. Oh no!!! Concerned bloomed in Ruth's chest as she skated on over towards the fox-ghoul. Past the fox-ghoul to see if the hats had been ruined. Finding a straw hat that been crushed, the reaper picked it up and practically thrust it at the monster ghoul's hands.

"Oomph!" A few quick pushes and shoves and she was managing to get up from the hat rack. Who knew a small ghoul could cause such wreckage if flung properly? Well they did now. And so did she. Simply had just managed to emerge in time to find a hat in her face. She sniffed at it instinctly before flicking her ears up to stare at the ghoul before her. Skates, and... hmmn.
She dodged around the hat leaning closer to try and see the shadowed face and suinting a bit. "It's a hat you know. Smells like one." Obviously she didn't get it, but that was a lost cause. "It might have been nice for someone but nooo nonononono~ That meanie was gonna eat it. It's better to die this way." She nodded a few times and crossed her arms soundly, eyes closed a moment before opening once again. "Oh yes! You. You're here too so trying to stop it? I'm Simply, simply that, yep!" She added cheerily, side stepping as a bit of rubble threatened to fall from a swing from the large beast rampaging behind her. "Oh you may want to move. It's gonna fall." She pointed up, ears flicking down briefly as she shifted again.
They weren't just for show after all. She did hear something of a crack from above. Maybe a support got taken out? Either way, something was going to come down soon probably.
Well there went the rest of the hats. "Oh! Oh you have skates, are they fun? I don't know how to skate." She practically bounced a bit as she hopped back away from the thing she'd gestured to a moment ago. If this new person didn't come along with she'd just have to go get her though. "Come come show me?"

Would he be okay....
Pyxis pursed his lips and shifted the lollipop from one cheek to another, making a little 'hhhmmmm' noise all the while. He spent so much time considering it that it almost seemed like he was solving some kind of complicated equation; in reality, it mostly just involved candy.
"Yep, I will! I'll watch after you guys and then I can scream for help again if they try to eat me. It worked last time so it'll probably work this time too. And if you forgot what my HEEELP sounds like, there's a reminder. Okay? Okay!"
Then they each got a hug, whether they liked it or not. Domino's hug was particularly difficult to achieve, considering he was trying out some weird ball attack as far as Pyxis could tell, but it happened anyway.

Through all the flurry of chatter, Ruth simply held the hat to her chest and gave the destroyed head-wear a moment of silence.
Then she tossed it away to focus on the ghoul talking at a rapid-fire pace. Ruth just tilted her head, not realizing that Simply had been the ghoul's name, mistaking it as yet another adjective. She wasn't taken aback by the speed the ghoul spoke it, she simply gave a tilt of her head and smiled. But then came Simply's suggestion to move and the warning of falling things. Ruth may be wearing a cap but it wasn't exactly built to take that sort of hit. She glanced on up, her lips pursing in thought for the briefest of moments, before she offered her arm for Simply to take.

Oh good, oh good! She understood. The ghoul obviously didn't understand any of Ruth's sentiment for the hat. Things like that, well she was used to destroying and replacing them. But people. People were hard to get new ones of. They sort of broke and then she couldn't play with them anymore. So upon snagging the reaper's arm she quickly backpedaled away from the arch of the store, which was more of a hat rack stand tent thing, as it slowly fell in.
If that straw had needed a bit of a moment of silence, there was a funeral in order. "G'bye hats." She quickly chimed, lifting her free hand to wave them off before tugging at Ruth to see if she'd slide along. Actually, this could be fun. She could tie a rope and they could run laps or something. "Do you think if you got enough momentum it'd hurt the thing?" Obviously the loud crashing behind them made it hard to forget, but perhaps the comment would be lost on the fellow ghoul as a wide smile spread on Simply's face.
"I bet it would. You'd be like... like a rocket and..." Her hands were moving in front of her at that point as she made the motions of a rocket darting off, speeding up as she made a 'WOOSH' at the end. "And then it's done." She gave a solid nod as if this would work. "We should do that. Definitely. Are you good at hitting things? You're sturdy enough, right?" Perhaps it hadn't occurred to the monster that not everyone had rocks for brains and possibly skin for the time being.

The wheels on the reaper's skates were quiet as they rolled, Ruth put up no resistance as Simply pulled at her. She joined in the brief funeral, deciding that next time she ought to buy more hats to make sure this doesn't happen again to poor, defenseless, fashionable hats.
The moment for mourning passed and once again Ruth listened wordlessly to the unfolding plan. What was Ruth's thoughts on being used as (hopefully) a weapon of shadowling destruction?
She did, however, cant her head, working over the mechanics and instead of using a rope, Ruth outstretched her arm towards Simply. She tucked her bat under her armpit and lightly mimed for Simply to grab her by the wrist. Ruth pantomimed whipping her arm forward, then pointed at the monster ghoul using her bat.

You could practical read that she thought this was the best idea ever. She completely ignored the funeral, merely hopping up and down and somehow managing not to have her head taken off in the process. One could only wonder how much force a small fox that couldn't weigh much could get while trying to sling the reaper along, but they were going to try this.
The seeming heads up from Ruth only made those eyes sparkle more as she nodded avidly. "Yes, yes I get it. BUT I KNOW HOW WE CAN MAKE THIS BETTER!" She was practically squealing as she hoped off quickly to find a few overturned tables and arrange them. The sort of semi near the reaper. And then one finger was held up as she offered a wink to the dark faced reaper, not the least bit bothered by any of this. Nope. It was going to be great. "Okay! Hang on to your uh-" A quick look and she finally noticed the bat. "-smacky thing! We're gonna kick it's a**!" With that she darted straight at the tables she'd placed, running the quick ring to gain a bit of momentum before snagging the ghoul's wrist at full speed and spinning on her heel. Ruth might have gotten a few brief moments of a huge toothy grin to stare at as the fox monster spun them in a quickly 360 circle and then we released in the direction of a certain shadow blob.
And the aim was true! Apparently Ruth had been well enough aimed to hit the thing and potentially skid out of the danger zone before it noticed the source of it's pain. Actually, it seemed to be blaming the petite ghoul left behind who was darting over to see if her new friend was ok. And was intercepted by a nice whack and then promptly went back to crawling over the things fist to hop off.
SHE WAS TOTALLY OK! She's got this! "ARE YOU ALIIIVE!? Was it fun you hit it right? HEY?"

Ruth was glad she had grown up on skates. Otherwise the G-force Simply had managed to rack up from the spin could easily have knocked Ruth out herself. Still, it took a split-second after release for Ruth to reorient herself and hold her feet in place at just the right angle. Of course placing her bat in front of her helped immensely in actually dealing some damage. The impact had her ricochet back, the wheels clattering noisily as Ruth struggled to maintain her balance.
Said balance was lost when one back wheel snagged on a stray piece of broken stall and sent her sprawling on her face. On the plus side, it did cause her skirt to fly up and reveal the name RUTH monogrammed on the back of her short shorts. As for whether she was alright:
