The song had been sung to it's fullest, and with that the knowledge that everyone was on their last legs, with Shun pointing out that Amarus had been wounded. Molan had provided a timely heal, but not before he had been attacked himself.
Urging herself on, the dragon ambled towards the frost boil, taking a few more hits that left her bleeding all over as she situated herself between him and the large shadow monster. She hoped the monster was going to go down before they did.

If it wasn't for Rosc, she'd probably be pretty much dead this time. Actually, she would definitely be; she felt the heal soothe her just enough so that when she took a step forward, it didn't transform into a faceplant.

Yeah, no, that wasn't happening.
The sheer effort of moving just to consider attacking again made Amarus' legs fall out from under her the second step she took, so that she had to brace herself for impact, managing a semi-graceful roll that left her on her knees.
After which she gracelessly completed her crumple to the ground, and lay there, with only enough energy to roll over onto her back so that she was looking up at the sky.
Well, it was a nice view for now, at least.

A greater ally rose from the darkness. If the tiny pinkpricks of red that were Zeek's eyes could sparkle, they might have at the sight of his brethren. He removed his tentacle from Zev's shoulders to approach the shadow, arms outstretched.
"Welcome! We invite cons...u...m...."
He trailed off and dropped his arms to his sides. His broad smile quickly twisted into a frown. Why were they striking their vessel of enlightenment?!
"Zevfriend, we must rescue the messenger!" he cried, motioning Zev forward.

Amarus liked light right now.
Not usually.
But right now, yes.
Okay, now that the shiny finisher was over and Amarus' body was her own again, she was equally exhausted, and she just wanted to roll over and die, really. BUT NO.
She had one strand of life left in her, and she stumbled over to the side of the fighting and collapsed again, this time sitting up.
She shut her eyes, and had a very go away, busy dying thanks expression on her face. But oh, for that one moment, the light had felt glorious. From where she was collapsed, through her eyelids, she glared daggers at the creature that had appeared and was apparently expressing some kind of affinity with the shadow monster they'd been fighting so hard to destroy.
If she had any strength left in her, she'd probably be directing it towards revenge at the moment.

For awhile, Ronin watched the students as they fought rather valiantly against this mysterious foe. They were even breaking out into song as they did this. He was proud of them. Very proud. And so, he decided to give his aid to them once more.
"Your work, excellent. Lend you my strength, I shall." he said quietly before doing just that to a small handful.

While everyone was doing their best, there was one whose words caught his attention. What the hell was that boy talking about? Shun furrowed his brow, then just focused in on the creature. It was getting worn down. But so were they. Still breathing heavily, he gripped onto his daggers tightly.
That blasted bright light with its musical tendencies was doing them some good for sure.
Swiftly, he moved forth to deal one more strike before pulling back. His body ached. But he needed to hold out for just a little longer.

Upon scrambling up to the group, Olivia came to realize Molan and Shun's tired states. So much of their energy and life force was gone!
Olivia set herself up in front of the Reaper and the Demon to defend them from further attacks.

Molan just really wanted to rest, but the dragon was protecting him, and even then there was Olivia getting between him and the boss. He had to try and help, to do something. He was just really, entirely exhausted right now. Still, he'd do what he could.
A few weary steps forward and he stared at the group before deciding that Olivia was protecting the other almost most weary fighter. Shun, that reaper who seemed intent on KILLING it.
Fine. Keep him going. He lifted a hand intending to try and patch up the reaper, but unforturnately the previous hits he'd taken were a bit much and he lost his balance, slumping back down. Nope. He was useless. Utterly useless. Thankfully Olivia was kind enough to stave off the blow that probably would have been the end for him.
She really was too sweet natured sometimes. He probably deserved a hit for failing them.

Shun's vision blurred for the moment as he stared down the shadowed form of the... thing they were fighting. He heard some gibberish come out of a canine looking student, but he didn't pay him any mind. Instead, he looked towards the girl that came up to help him out. The next blast of light nearly brought the creature down.
Silently, he nodded to her in gratitude before straightening up. Right. Now it was time to finish this beast off. And hopefully... that would be the end of this. He hoped Mitsu was alright during all of this. But he knew she could fend for herself.
Grimacing, he ran up towards the creature and lunged forth to try and stab their enemy right where its heart should technically be with both of his blades.
After that, he dropped down onto one knee, feeling weary as all hell.

Sin was surprised it kind of looked good...or at least thanks to Selene's cheer she thought things looked better. Then there was a strangeness as the shadowy creatures fell back again. She grinned and stepped back closer to Rosc maybe this time...
Nope it seemed she'd been about to make the same mistake again too hopeful for her own good. There was a strange buzzing a whispering that made her want to cover her ears. Then a huge dark crater appeared and Sin had a sinking suspicion she knew what was going to come out. Sure enough a rather huge version of the creepy creatures came out of the crater and started to assault them all.
Sin rolled and dodged doing her best to just stay out of the things way and keep from being swiped. She managed pretty well, but by the time she turned to attack the thing the others had already risked their necks and managed to defeat the giant thing.
She put a hand on her hip and gave them a look, really? Well fine, better they jump in and let her keep herself safe.
A tiny voice in the back of her head sounded disappointed, some Champion letting others risk themselves while you protect your own skin. She quashed the voice and crossed her arms with a soft huff, at least the thing was gone.
She looked around waiting nervously, each time she thought it was over only proved to herald worse, this time she was going to keep her mouth shut until it was safe-ish.

Why was the world around you could sometimes vanish when struck with such an overwhelming wave of relief and emotion? Hadiyya had no answer, but it seemed as though time had stood still for her as she convinced herself the boil in her arms was safe and whole, and come to her unharmed.
That.. Had not been the case. When she'd lifted her head from the crook of the nergal's neck she'd found the multiple bodies of shadowlings gone, replaced by a monsterous figure now hell bent on rending all the students, and everything around it, to shreds. She'd have screamed if she had time for it, but her fellow classmates had rallied, working together to drive the beast back and destroy it, and all the djinn could do was cling feebly to her boilfriend and watched, stunned.
It was all too impressive for words.
Now that the immediate battle was over, and she'd managed to do nothing to assit in it, she felt a little useless. It didn't seem they'd needed her help, or Sharra's, but all the same..
Stepping away from the circle of Sharra's arms the ghoul moved closer to the fighters most injured. Shun wasn't a surprise, but the frost demon who'd spoken unkindly before was. The reaper would find himself looped by the healing water first, and with her full attention on the boil it's effects were far more helpful.

Molan was next, or so she was planning on. But a sudden pain jerked at her concentration and the healing stream she'd sent towards him fell useless to the ground.
