"I'd say so, but they look strange," Jordan answered, kicking the shadowling again as it peeled itself off the floor and made another rush at him. "Just as stupid as the sun run ones, though." The shadowling seemed to melt into the floor as he stabbed at it again, and Ferros rumbled in surprise. "Okay, no, the sun run ones don't do that," Jordan amended. - only an extra shadow materialized before her, bug-eyed and waiting. With a small gasp, she stabbed it out of existence with a gulp. Close one! She was getting better at this . . . right?

He brought B0nez around again, knocking it down to the floor and getting bitten for the trouble.

"If it was fog again, they'd probably be made of fog," Jordan pointed out. "Are they eating the furniture?" He knocked a shadowling off the kitchen counter. "If these little shits eat my coffee machine I'm going to be really pissed." He tried stomping the shadowling; the tactic wasn't particularly effective in bare feet. It bit him. He kicked it away and scanned the room, frowning. "Are there more of them in here than there were a minute ago? Please tell me that's my imagination." He wouldn't be eaten. Harrison would know. Everything was fresh in his head, like it had just happened. Why now? He didn't want to deal with a bunch of monsters like they mattered.

It was unusual for Rep to be up first; usually he was the last one up, taking over the whole bed like some kid of oversized cat after the two of them had gotten up. Jordan growled at the shadowlings darting erratically around the room, and slammed Ferros's head down onto a cluster of them a little harder than he'd intended to. The shadowlings squashed. The floorboards cracked. "Sorry," Jordan grumbled, shooting Harrison a guilty look. OOC HP: 50/60 Damage: 5 Charge: 2/3 Path: Spellbinder (attack doubled, HP halved) Shadowling HP: 4/10

Harrison just nodded, and wiggled the shorter sword, until black smoke curled up the hilt and the the small, yellow eyes winked out. The shadowling disappeared.

Thrown off by what sounded like a non-sequitur, Jordan stared at Harrison for a moment. Then he realized what Harrison meant, and he winced again, his eyes going pained and guilty in a deeper way. "I'm sorry," he said quietly.
He stabbed a shadowling that got too close in a quick, vicious, reflexive motion.

The squirmed and leapt away, nipping at his hands.
