Shun's expression softened as he saw her smile, leaning in to both the kiss and to her touch. It did ease his heart to hear that he had made her happy already. He just hoped he would be able to continue doing so. While she began to walk, he moved along side her, gripping her hand gently. He only paused once to toss out the tray in some nearby trash.
"Alright.. but... Just remember that I'm here for you. I know I'm probably going to need your support.. just as you'll need mine most likely."
His heart might have hardened more than hers to this sort of thing, but he was going to have other sorts of challenges to deal with. At least, he had a feeling he would. There was no way this was going to be easy for anyone, really.

"I will," Mitsu nodded. "Through better or for worse right?"
She stopped again along the pier and leaned against the railing looking out over the water and at the approaching sunset. The sky was already turning colors with deep reds and oranges .

Shun nodded at that.
"Through the good and the bad," he said softly to her as he gripped her hand. When she stopped, he leaned out against the railing as well to peer over the waters that was being painted with reddish hues thanks to the sky.
"Thank you for sticking by my side," he added.

"Thank you for sticking by me. I know it hasn't been easy for you either." She had been in a rough spot since her return and Shun had to deal and continued to deal with her rehabilitation into the world. It was a slow and sometimes troubling process but he never gave up on her. Maybe it was time to return the favor.

"I love you too much to do otherwise," Shun whispered. With the way he felt for her, there was no way that he would simply leave her to her own devices when she needed him. And he knew that she wasn't completely better yet after her rather dark experience with the hunters. The fear of knives was a testament enough for that, and he was still determined to help her break that.
After that, he fell silent for a time as he was watching the sea seemingly engulf the pumpkin sun.

"I love you too," Mitsu said softly in return, falling silent as she turned to watch the sun sink below the horizon. It was a rather pretty sight, one she had not seen before. The way the colors of the sky reflected in the waters was rather enchanting and she found herself staring until the sun was well out of sight and the sky began to grow dark.
When the last sliver of light from the sun was gone Mitsu finally turned back toward the pier and watched as lanterns came to life one by one to offer light to those still standing around and enjoying the pavilion. It would probably be a good idea to head back soon but this place was rather calming even with the people. The soft light and the sound of the waves crashing up against the shore was a huge contrast to the rest of the city.
"Should we check up on Mr. Shiro?"

There was a soft, subtle smile at that, though it soon faded as he waited for the sun to finish setting. As Mitsu turned around, so did he. The place was much darker now, but there were a number of lanterns here and there.
"Yeah. That's probably a good idea. He should be at his place by now. Let's make our way there," he said with a nod, before making his way back to his motorcycle. Taking in a breath, he fitted the helmet back onto his head and climbed on. As he powered the bike, he waited for his lycan to join him.

Following Shun back to the bike Mitsu grabbed her helmet and situated it back onto her head. With it in place she waited for him to get settled before she went about her strange way of climbing back on and seating herself behind him. Secured she rested her arms around his waist ready to go.
She hoped Mr. Shiro was doing okay. That wasn't the type of fight Mitsu had expected to walk in on and truthfully she wasn't sure what really held this 'business' together if that was how Shun's father ran things. She would have thought it would make loyalties run thin.

Once they were all set, Shun began to carefully drive once more. It was darker now, so he was taking more caution as they went on through the city towards Shiro's home. The man lived in an apartment, not too far from where they were. So it hadn't taken too long before the Reaper parked once more.
"He lives on the 2nd floor of this building," he commented as he removed his helmet. Making his way up to the door, he rang the doorbell.
"..Who is it?" a voice came out from the speaker.
"Shun and Mitsu. We figured we'd stop by," he replied in return. Soon after that was said, a click could be heard from the door as it was unlocked. Opening up, he waited for his lycan to walk on in first.

Settled in place all Mitsu could do was trust that Shun could get them there. She rather enjoyed the experience on the motorcycle though so it was sad that it turned out to be a short ride. Taking off her helmet Mitsu followed suit and climbed down off the bike and followed Shun to the main entrance to the building. She had never seen a gate like this one before and curiously watched Shun as he picked the right buzzer out of the many to find a familiar voice.
The door clicked shortly after Shun's interaction with the little box and the lycan turned toward it quickly, examining the door as Shun opened it. "How does Shiro get inside?" She assumed it was the older man who had let them in but what if there was no one else here? Who would let Shiro in?

Shun blinked at that question.
"He has a key," he said simply, pointing at the lock on the door. Once inside, he went on up the stairs, noticing Shiro waiting with the door to his apartment open. The older man gave a small smile at the two of them.
"Come on in you two. Would you like some tea or some snacks?" he offered. His place was fairly tidy and well kept. It was pretty nice over all, "Though, I must ask what the cause for the visit is."
He was unaware that the two had witnessed the end of that fight he had with Kaitou as they had stepped in just in time for him to be cut down.
"Ah... We saw what Kaitou did to you earlier. We wanted to make sure everything was alright."
At that, the older reaper's expression shifted downwards, and he soon let out a sigh.
"Ah... I apologize you had to see such things.."

As they made it to the apartment they were greeted by Shiro's friendly face. If Mitsu didn't know any better it would have been like nothing had happened earlier.
Stepping inside she shook her head at the offer of snacks, looking around at the apartment that Shiro called home. She only turned around when Shun revealed the nature of their visit and she nodded to confirm what he said.
"W...why are you apologizing?" It felt rather wrong for the older man to apologize when he hadn't done anything wrong. It was Kaitou that should apologize but Mitsu knew that wouldn't happen. "Does...stuff like this happen often?"

Shiro let out a sigh at that and shook his head.
"It was the first time I've been struck down personally. Being his right hand, he normally has more leeway with myself than the lower ranks. But over all, no, bursts of violence are not all too uncommon. Things had been worse lately.. and I suppose he was extra testy since our conversation dealt with you, Shun," he replied. He then guided them towards a small couch and table in the middle of the room, urging them to have a seat.
"I was surprised to see that myself.. but what exactly were you arguing about in the first place?" the younger reaper asked. He had some idea of it, but there weren't too many details he was able to pick up on at that time.
"In the case that you declined him, he wanted me to strike you down to try and get you to submit. I refused. And he didn't like that."

Mitsu fell silent after Shiro explained. It was a combination of being uneasy around someone fairly new as well as feeling the pressure of the topic at hand. It wasn't hard to remember how she felt when she saw Kaitou cutting Mr. Shiro down in front of them just because of a verbal dispute and then turning to them like nothing had happened. He had no regard for the people around him and Mitsu really only knew of one other time she had felt that way about anyone...
As her gaze became a little distant lost in the memories of what had occurred, Mitsu found herself fidgeting with her shirt sleeves, tugging the material down further to cover the little bit of exposed skin. Her hands just couldn't stay idle as her mind continued to wander, but her actions seemed to calm when she found her ring and began to spin it on her finger. It was probably the calmest act of fidgeting she had performed.

"I see... Well in any case I accepted. But.. I plan on doing as you mentioned. I'm going to try and change things for the better here," Shun said quietly. As Mitsu fell silent, he glanced to her, then placed his hand over hers.
"I'm not really sure how I'll be able to do it though. I have a feeling this will take some time too..." he murmured before shaking his head. It certainly wasn't something that could change overnight. Or even within a month. Not when he was going to need to work his way up.
"It will. But... use this time to gain the favor of others within the family. That may make it easier for you when the time comes later down the road," Shiro advised, "The Family will be stronger for it too, I'm sure. People are afraid of what Kaitou may do should they step out of line after all."
With a soft smile, the older man got up.
"But really. You never answered me before. Would you like some tea? Or a snack?"
