Dissectional This album is so great, it would probably have to be my favorite...or if not, lateralus. But yeah the art is so ingenius, I couldn't help but be impressed. Btw, does anyone know where i could get a song editing program so i can play music backwards? well, you could always scour the P2P networks...but they are risky...though not always... but just do what I do. go to Download.com and search for an audio conversion software, type in like MP3 to WAV converter as long as in the end you convert them to WAV you can then open them in Windows Sound Recorder Start>Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Sound Recorder and then under Effects you can select Reverse. but the only way you can work with audio in that program is if its WAV.

on a similar note...I just converted and reversed Viginti Tres...cuz at the end there, the only discernable human vocals seem to be backwards...but, I cant seem to understand them even when they are reversed...i even increased the speed to see if bring it closer to the normal speed of human speech would help...but alas...it did not...
any ideas?
i know in the lyrics SW just put Viginti Tres AS the lyrics...but im not sure how he came to that conclusion...

Because the actual album is severely underwhelming. Also, Joe Baresi's production is very.. un-Tool, and I can barely hear Danny. :/ The tracks are much better live, so far. They've also got a more noticeable middle-eastern vibe going for some of their older tracks like Forty-Six & 2 and Stinkfist. I grabbed a bootleg from the May 2nd Seattle show. Haha.

SenorDiablo i know in the lyrics SW just put Viginti Tres AS the lyrics...but im not sure how he came to that conclusion... That's what's being said. UNLESS I CAN BE PROVEN WRONG. Intension backwards: Work hard, Stay in school, Listen to your father, your father is right. Work hard, Stay in school, Listen to your father, your father is right.

I just cant agree with you nay-sayers out there...
I promise theres a bigger picture that we just arent seeing yet...
have you all read the post on Toolband where blaire acknowledges the fact that the album art holds a puzzle?
granted, he could just be saying that...to play into the people who emailed him saying there was...but it really wouldnt surprise me if there was a hidden message in the artwork.
it doesnt sound to me like they put any less thought into the entire thing.
and if spent some time unraveling the lyrics to each song I garantee that you would be happy with the album...
in the end its just going to take time for it to fully set in...it IS a huge departure from the Tool we all knew from Lateralus and before. but its still Tool.
of course, if you just dont like it, i guess theres nothing more to be said about that.
Im just glad that it was time well spent for the band and the finished product makes me feel all happy inside.
and finally, who knows, now that APC is over, we might not have to wait another 6 years to get some new material from them.

Yeah, I went back to edit but my internet keeps dying. >;/
I think Maynard dropped APC so he could focus more on his wines, primarily. Blair said we probably wouldn't have to wait that long again.. But Trent said the same thing after The Fragile.

Kind of sounds like he's saying "Listen to your Fuhrer."
I still really like 10,000 Days, especially the live songs they've played. Lost Keys is tolerable without the noise of feedback in the background. I can see why some don't like it. I'll admit that it doesn't sound anything like what I wanted or really expected. The album seems APC-ish to me as it plays more towards emotions rather intellect. I guess I don't like angry Maynard as much intellectual, uplifting, rise from conformity Maynard and reach the higher being of the collective spirit (kind of ironic -- think for yourself so you can become a part of us?).

Eleven minutes is entirely too short for "10,000 Days". I was shaky with this song at first, but I can't help but listen to it again and again.

I didn't like 10,000 days. It's seemed too...weak, compared to the others.
