Quote: At last you come across something so different, the cool, sharp hum of metal. But unlike any other, this metal seems to hum and breathe. It feels like someone is gazing reproachfully at you. You run you fingers along the metal and make out something: a throne perhaps, a chair, tall and spanning forwards. The seat is empty. - At the base of the chair, engraved into the metal are a few words: "Call my true name" OH. She bumped into something new. She felt around the object. It seemed to be... moving a bit, but she couldn't be sure. She felt around the edges and started to make out a chair of some sort. "Oh good." Gilly thought to herself. And plopped right down into the chair. She was exhausted and could use a break. This was proving to be exactly what the Voice was saying, a huge disappointment. Then Gilly thought "Well, maybe I'm the disappointment." she frowned. "Maybe I'm just not good enough to find the way out." Gilly scooted around in the chair, trying to get more comfortable. The designs on the chair were rather, pokey. Gilly ran her fingers under her butt trying to feel out the uncomfortable areas. The pattern ran in a line. She realized the last part was letters me. OH! Gilly ran her fingers over the rest and spelled it out. Call my true name. Gilly didn't understand this at all. The Voice was just the voice wasn't it? She sat there puzzled. "I guess if you created everything Voice... then you would be Shen." Gilly mouthed into the void. She realized that, she couldn't actually call out the name. So instead ran her fingers across the chair.

Something stuck her side, stabbing into her and sending her stumbling away from the fountain. Her mouth was open to cry out in shock and pain but no sound came out, her eyes wide and frantic as she backed away from what had attacked her and held the gash in her side. What the hell was that!? OOC Characters: Candace and Atropos HP: 18/50 Rank and Kingdom: Rook, Blue Description: See avatar for Candace. Tired, dirty, and clearly stressed. Atropos looks like this minus the tail, horns and stripes. She's also dirty and battered, her clothes torn from fighting.

The chair finally seemed to go away, its strange, unimaginable eyesight felt as it was focused on another, the scuffle of boot on wooden structure was felt once more as jing began to touch the smooth table. The surface felt shiny and well taken care of from the result of the unmarked expanse of wood, all for the sake of one book, a collection of bound pages that were tacky and brittle, a well worn and possibly well loved novel. it was paper and he still had a damp hand, a plan was calculated when he made soundless apologies to the piece of literature and tore a page out. There was no sound present to make him feel guilty about ruining it. Well, so much for pleasantries. Xiu let her calm facade fade into a scowl, "You're in a room full of Silvers who have learned the truth. What do you mean we don't belong in here?" Learning the truth had taken away much of the former Red King's gentleness, and she moved forward again in an attempt to wedge herself between the Gold King and his target.
"Calm yourself! There is so much that the Voice has not told you--are you so stubborn that you refuse to listen to both sides of the story before you ruthlessly lash out at innocent people?"
She paused when she noticed something from the corner of her eye. Was that...the Green King? Oh, no. Gritting her teeth together, Xiu glanced left and right in an attempt to figure out how to round up and keep the others safe. The Kings, she knew, were not bad people, but when influenced by the Voice...
The Green King's question earned a dry smile. "They did not only do that, but they killed me as well. However, as I now know the reason why, I cannot be anything but thankful. You deserve the learn the truth as well. Please, put down your weapon and stop attacking."OOC Current HP remaining: 100 Defending done: 8 Target(s): Kiwi Rank Ability : Instant KO/half King's current HP/Cut character's base HP by half/Steal a player's ranked ability (*any of these abilities can be used four times) Character kingdom: Silver Character's Miasma Colour: Silver Character description: Hello

Mjoll noticed the scent of kiwis had faded from the area, she could feel something occasionally create a breeze but she wasn't sure what was going on.
It was when her leg was grabbed that she realize there was a problem. She felt herself dragged a long, if she could've made a noise there'd be a squeak of surprise. Hands going up feeling for the hand that rested on her leg. Instead she attempted to right herself so they could maybe get away faster despite their blind stumbles.

The Green King, unlike the others, was not clad in the revolting silver garb of the traitors. Still, Mengyao was wary, though he gave the other a small, tight nod, lifting his head and offering the former Red King a look of pure loathing.
"And just because you've learned this 'truth' makes you no better than a common mule. You have thrown all you care about away to follow what? Nothing. You are a spineless, worthless member of your kingdom."

The downward climb was slower, the shape-shifter not wanting to trip.
When he reached the bottom, it took another eternity for him to find something else to touch. This time, it was a table, and upon it, a heavy book. It was useless to him, but he ran his fingers over it anyway, searching for a sign.
And then he moved on.Quote: 61 - 80: You feel something, a table, and then the soft crinkles of an aged book. It is too heavy to lift, though it is open.

And then came the Voice, recanting a great story of kings and heroes, and the subjects who willed the legacy of a great man to continue, to not die in vain. For the first time in a long time, since the time he still believed the Voice spoke truth, Nukpana listened, chin tilted upward, although he no longer thought the Voice to be divine. He listened, amber eyes open and unseeing, as he continued forward. He was being beckoned by something, and he answered it obediently, as he always had for commands.
A dog. A pawn.
Finally, the floor dipped, and Nuk's hand brushed something cool, something that hummed as if it was waiting, patiently, for something. The Voice finished the story, with the proclamation that the dream had ended, and there was no king, falling silent again. But as the shape-shifter ran his fingers over the metal, over the engraving of the throne and the words, he felt a tinge of something in his chest, making his heart pound.
Hope.
There was only one answer. The only king that would ever matter. Nuk had never said his name before, it had always been Boss, Kingpin, and sometimes even 'sir.'
Lifting his finger to the blade, he split the skin along the sharp edge, waiting for the blood to flow before he lowered his finger to the blade, writing across the throne a single name.
The true name of the One King.
'Harrison.'

Jericho paused as he heard the voice. It was speaking something about kings. It sounded rather angry and quite frankly he had a very bad feeling about what was going to happen. He wished he could see. Or at least hear things more than just the Voice talking. It sounded like it was telling the kings to kill traitors. ... Yes this was not a good sign. He stumbled around some more, trying to find some hint of where the Voice was, only to come across a set of stairs. What a strange bend.
Was this even an arm? Eyebrows curled downward as she dropped the appendage, hoping that it would help in their attempts to clear off, a very soft air sound coming from her muted voice, almost like a worrying sound. . . She didn't like what was happening.
Whatever it was.

Terra pulled away from the table, completely oblivious to what was going on, and wandered further into the room, looking for what she had been sent to do--without being able to see. Unfortunately the table was bigger than she had thought.
So she patted the book to see if maybe it had something else on it. Yes.

The table and its book, how Jing wanted to have his sight back. it was the cruelest twist of fate to come across an item with text and without the means to read it, to learn from it and apply it to the future. The trek continued on in the darkness, the void that sucked him in and took away so much and left him with feelings and the truth. the floor had a divot in it, something he didn't expect in the dark that had him falling on his knees, the floor made for a unsavory cushion to land on. But it might have knocked some sense in him. He had to head back to the throne to find out. Candace's priority was to get away from what attacked her. She couldn't fight what she couldn't see, she had no fear shield, she was already tired from fighting as it was..this did not bode well. She fell backwards when her heel caught in another groove on the floor, landing with a silent wince and pushing herself back with her feet. Head in the opposite direction of what attacked you, Candace. Atropos was somewhere else in the room, feeling more tired by the second but unable to quite pinpoint why. She had no idea her Hunter was under attack though she was growing increasingly worried that she couldn't find Candace in this room. Another king came to the battle garbed in silver as well, and Mort had to scowl. What was going on? Where had once been no memorial of the silver king now split into two living ones, and in a small niche of his anger he felt confusion creep in.
But they had killed the red king and she was smiling about it. Disgusting.
And anger reigned supreme once more.
"I grow tired of listening," he answered with a steely look. "What I care for are my people and I will not let anything stand in the way of what they deserve - what I deserve."
A wry smile made its way on his face at how much attention they gave to the wandering tattooed male. In a vicious tease, he prodded the woman again with his sword, raising his brow at the silver kings as if to say "come and save her next". Do you need help?" he asked the gold king in a drawl. "Or are you so fixated on that one that you can't see the ants crawling about now? They cannot hope to save them all."

There was a puff of air from Mjoll, much like an of without the sound. She was dropped, that wasn't quite fun but she managed to find her way to sitting and reached out to grab Lifen - well she was aiming for her hand but she found a leg instead. That worked!
She felt her way up until she found Lifen's hand, she was sooo sorry Lifen. Standing up she pulled the other into a hug before trying to signal for her to lead the way.
