That essentially summed up what Ten meant to her now. She was nothing. She was simply a complete and utter waste of existence and life. There was nothing more that could be said between them. Though her emotions had once again riled as Ten proceeded to bash on her and denounce everything that had once stood inbetween them; a small smile only remained on Gyokuen's lips. It was truly a pity that her emotion prevented her from properly giving Ten the punishment she deserved. Even when she attempted to convince herself that she no longer cared for the woman, she did not raise her staff to strike her through the heart when grabbed by the front of her attire. Ignoring most of the threats and such, she hit the ground with a soft 'thud' when released by Ten. She had not taken the chance to eliminate her once for all. She had ignored opportunity and thus; altered any possible fate the Zaibatsu could have had. Safe, protected and isolated. Everything and that much more. She blamed her for not checking up on her son even when he was on the opposite side and she clearly had other responsibilities. But it mattered little now. What was done was done. All that mattered was completing the prime objective. Simply sitting back onto her throne casually as if nothing had happened, the Queen of the Doma flicked her hand as she quickly restored the room to its original condition. This essentially made Ten's entire threat seem meaningless and pointless and perhaps this was the exact intention. The temptation to call out had not even entered Gyokuen's mind. Instead, she had shifted her full attention onto Nine. Disdain and annoyance clear on her face, her voice and tone dripped with sarcasm and irritation. ❖❖ ❖❖ " I suppose /you/ have something to say as well? Make it quick, will you? Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine stood resolute and silent through his wife's outburst directed at Gyokuen. He was not concerned about his wife striking the woman because he knew Ten would not kill her, he knew Ten couldn't. Slit Gyokuen's throat today and Ten would be buried tomorrow. The woman who ruled the doma had more than few tricks up her sleeve and far more than a few willing to carry out her work. If someone did kill her, it would stop little. That was why Nine took the slower path. He would slowly dismantle those who chose to follow her, corrupting their thoughts with passiveness or confusion and when she had lost everything, when nothing stood to keep him from doing so, he would kill her. But that was a day far away from the here and now. That was for the future. When Gyokuen turned to look and speak to him Nine looked at his wife. "Ten, leave this place. Get as far from here as possible. I wish to speak with her alone."

•●○●How to be brave? How can I love when I'm afraid to fall-- But watching you stand alone. All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow. I have died everyday waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid I have loved you . For a thousand years.
I'll love you for a thousand more•●○● ︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻︻ Ten stared down at Gyouken as her body was limp and helpless. Ten knew it was an act. Everything had been an act to use her. And that, that killed Ten inside.
Ten slowly took a few steps backwards from Gyouken as she heard her husband's demands.
Turning back to her husband, Ten began to walk towards him, her face just as nonchalant as his for a moment. Ten wasn’t as good at hiding secrets in her face as her husband, and her newest secret certainly showed, her body felt weak, like a rush of energy had suddenly left her body. Was it the darkness of the Doma that was keeping her powerful? Without it, was she weaker, or was the Doma draining her life energy? It didn’t matter, Ten faked it and kept walking towards Nine. But before she made it to him, Ten stopped and looked back at Gyouken, the woman she had made love too countless times, the person she confided in almost as much as she did Nine.
Ten paused in silence for a moment, starring at the light skinned beautiful woman. “I want you to find happiness. I know some days it feels impossible and the emotions from your inner darkness are all you can feel. Remember when you first found me? I was angry, hurt, sad and I felt like my entire world had ended. It’s been 3 years since that horrible night. Gyouken, you have opened my eyes with such simple actions.” How someone made Ten feel comforted, yet put through so much pain and anger bewildered her.
Ten turned back to Nine. And there he was, her family. She missed him, missed his face, his touch. Even when they had been thousands of miles apart or hadn’t seen each other in years, she knew they still loved each other unconditionally. But now—was it still the same?
As Ten walked to Nine she reached for nine’s embrace, with guilt and shame running down her face. She wrapped her arms around his body and held him close to her. She cried into the shoulder of the man she had fallen in love with.
“I’m so sorry—“ Ten said quietly. Ten wanted to go. She didn’t know what home was anymore, but she knew she wanted to be beside Nine.
Releasing him, her fingertips slid off his shoulder as she walked out of the Doma. "Be safe--I'll wait for you on the Zaibatsu border."

Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The numbered one stood still as Ten spoke her wishes to Gyokuen. Her thoughts and actions did not bother him, few things bothered him because few things really hurt him. Few things could slip through the armor of his personality and really expose the man he was. This was not one of those things and he composure did not crack. When Ten came to him he embraced her as he imagined she wanted him to. "Just leave this place." He spoke in a softer voice, one far more kind than he had used in years. Then he waited until Ten had left. When she was gone from this place, this building and this evil, he turned to look at Gyokuen with the now shielded face he always had. A face barren of emotions and a mind of nothing but practical thought.
"I said I would give you two years to destroy them. Then I was kind and gave you a third. You failed. The Zaibatsu still rises again, resolute and strong. You made the same mistake everyone before you made and I even told you that you would. I made it so clear to you and you still didn't listen. When you seek to destroy an empire you can not slaughter the people and expect it to crumble. You murder the king. Your men, your army, my wife, you didn't kill a single person who could rise to stop you. You killed everyone who would have left you alone. Why? Why even persist to attack? you have nothing to threaten anyone with anymore. They have seen your power and they are prepared for it. Your grand plan will fail. Just as those before it have. "

That no matter what she had attempted to do differently, she had failed like all those before her. What he was telling her--questioning, even, was why she even bothered to continue. Why persist? Why continue to struggle or fight? Why allow the cycle of endless slaughter to repeat itself once more? Ten was no longer in their control, Xenon had recovered despite his practically fatal wounds and everything she had time to do seemed to have been gone. Her crumble was inevitable; the Second Doma was on the verge of another loss despite their seeming huge advantage. Gyokuen's hair obscured her eyes somewhat by the shadows, leaving her emotion unknown. Her lips were pressed together without any real pressure being applied which did not indicate any sort of frustration or anger from Nine's words. Several moments passed without another word. When all of a sudden, the Doma Queen began to chuckle...and that chuckle turned into laughter once again. Leaning forward in her seat with her hands kept over her staff politely, she tilted her head a bit. ❖❖ ❖❖ " Oh? And you are the one to presume I am completely out of tricks? Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine stood though her returns. She attacked his own words, his actions and his character. It made him smile. She truly believed she would win and that was the mistake. Even if she did summon the creature, it would not be bound to her, nothing that considered itself a god could be bound be astral beings such as herself. If it was summoned it would not be her that won, it would not be her victory. It would be the beats. Nine knew that and he knew the beast could be beaten if not killed. Anything could be sealed twice. It was just harder the second time. Nine stood in silence for a few seconds after she had spoken then he took a step towards her.
"I have seen your hand, I have seen the card you intend to play and I can not deny it is a move to be feared. What you seek to do will shake the universe itself, but it will not destroy it. You only have the power to bring one of them out and one is not enough, it nearly is, but it can be beaten. You should have killed Xenon, Loki, Sword, his children, your loves, all of them. You should have used the years to kill every being of power because they will all be able rise and stop the 'god' you plan to raise."
Nine stood in silence for a few moments so Gyokuen could really listen to his words.
"When I abandoned my students, Six and Eight, I abandoned them to save my own world. 'Save' that is what I always called it. I had no intention of saving anyone that day. I didn't intend to kill anyone either. I just wanted to wake up and go to sleep as if the world did not have a plan. The word I lived in had become so corrupt, so cruel that I couldn't bare to look at it anymore. Great men are forged in fire, it is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame. I did not allow my world to crumble, I stood there lighting the fire that destroyed it all and I knew what I was doing. The only shock was that I ever woke up. Gyokuen, the world would have burned itself if you had not tried to burn it. If you had done everything the dark and in secret, no one would be ready. But you pushed and now they will push back."
By now Nine stood mere inches from the Doma queen. He was not angry that she had tried, he was sad she had done it so poorly. As if he was looking at a sword that had come from the fire dull and weak. She was neither but her methods, they were the dull and weak sword. If someone truly wanted to destroy the Zaibatsu, they would have come to him first.

This was all that gripped Gyokuen for several moments as Nine had stepped forward. His voice rang out as he proceeded to verbally begin to tear down the Doma Queen, first beginning with her methods and then everything else she wished to accomplish. Causing this world to burn and return to the ashes that it once originally was, eradicating the Zaibatsu for all it was and all it was worth. To bring back the being that had caused her to realize and utilize the ability darkness held to change the world and alter the dimension along with all those held inside forever. He had stated that her planning was poor, and everything she had done in order to achieve her goals have been for nothing but naught. She had lost Ten and to rub it in, the very suitor who had taken her from Queen stood before her; outright mocking and looking down on the powerful sorceress. For once, the arrogant; vain smile that she always held no matter the situation or predicament slowly faded from her lips. Instead, it was replaced with a dark, downright murderous glare towards the other in response to his seeming pity. Her anger quickly boiled within her to the point of overflowing immensely, causing her grip on her staff to tighten. Her fatigue and large bouts of pain vanished within an instant; replaced with her full strength once more at her disposal. In fact, it seemed to have multiplied by a few folds as the dark aura and energy began to radiate off of her like nothing else seen before in any other type of being. Raising her head, her smile slowly returned, but it was forced; tight with barely restrained control. A small giggle escaped her lips as she felt the power course through her veins like nothing else before seen. It emitted from the Queen's body and could most likely be felt all across the lands and beyond. Rising to her feet, she stared right back at the Numbered Being in front of her. Raising one hand, she instantly warped the environment to move him back by at least a few feet; or in an attempt to do so before formally beginning her assault. ❖❖ ❖❖ " You proceed to insult me, demean everything I have achieved and now question my ability in order to carry through with my intentions? For this shall be the day that I shatter the shackles of Fate and bring forth he harbinger of destruction to devour the existence of this universe whole! I must thank you for your words; for they have spurred me on to fully accept and absorb his own power into myself. With this, bringing him into this realm will be child's play. Now...shall we begin? Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine could feel the sudden change in the air. The spread of a dark aura that filled the room like water filled a cup. It was dense and thick, so much so that he could almost see it around them. It was at that moment that he knew what the Queen would do and moment later the environment shifted and Nine found himself standing a few feet farther away from the queen that he had been standing moments before. Nice trick. I've seen it before though, many times. Nine kept the thought to himself as he heard Gyokuen speaking. For all her power she really did not see that he was unfazed and unafraid it all. He hadn't even drawn a weapon yet, nor had he conjured his armor. The most Nine did was adjust his posture and tilt his head slightly. She spoke in such a simple way and finally when she had finished Nine spoke.
"No, there will be no ritual, the Medium will never rise again. I will ensure it this time. Today you die."
She had finally given him ample reason to kill her. With Gyokuen's power restored Nine would feel no regret about what he did. However that was not what mattered right now. The words he spoke were what mattered and the way he said them was key. He spoke as if he literally knew what the Medium was and had dealt with it before. Then Nine spread his arms open wide.
"Begin."

Allowing her to strike first in such a manner but at the same time, a feeling of weariness lightly tapped at the back of her head. Was this merely bait; a trap or ploy to lure her into lunging in with reckless abandon? While normally, such a thought would cause the Queen to emit caution, excitement had gripped her cold heart. The thrill of having her full powers at her maximum capability was a rush that one could hardly put into words or state to those who could not manage. Raising her staff, she spoke aloud the ancient chant of her element, commanding the darkness to resonate with her being. Her voice echoed and rolled down the dark hallways of the throne room. The entire environment quickly shifted and morphed; alternating from what was once a dreary, gloomy royal room into something a little more surprising. The darkness poured in in droves, seeming to swarm the Doma Queen to the point of obscuring her entire body. After a few moments, she began to glow and hum with power, a strong aura flickering around her body. Once again visible, her eyes had morphed to a corroded, corrupted dark purple and red. Whispering unintelligible words, Gyokuen acted quickly. Weaving multiple signs without warning, energy sparked down her arms as she immediately warped the dimension they were standing in. Wishing to take the fight elsewhere, the entire throne room was separated, in a manner of speaking, from the rest of the castle to prevent collateral damage. Aiming to target the center of Nine's being, she trust a hand forward as if to quickly erase his entire being in one shot to begin the fatal match. Using her own variation of combination-based elemental magic, she used her dimensional abilities once more alongside her darkness to gain control of Nothingness itself. While she herself thought it was impossible to do so to a being such as the Numbered Warrior on the first strike, someone needed to begin the battle. With this, she would begin the initiation to bring The Medium back into this world! But in the process of doing this, roughly a portion of power would have to constantly be in a state of work and set aside to sacrifice in order to bring the primordial beast back to its rightful place in the realms or beyond. This would make the battle with her opponent far more difficult, if not downright troublesome. Lifting her other hand in expectation of a counter-attack or time manipulation, she seemed to subtly activate something else on her person in advance. ❖❖ ❖❖ " So confident as to not even draw a weapon~? My dear Nine, your arrogance truly holds no bounds! Very well. Let us begin the trials and tribute in which it will be brought back to its rightful place in this realm! Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine stood still as Gyokuen attacked. He had options, many options. Killing her outright by warping reality to pull her heart from her body would be to simple. She deserved more of a fight than that. Nine could become intangible and allow the bean to pass through him but that was not always a surefire way to escape a blast. Often times there were lingering effects when he moved through things. He could sidestep the blast, he could manipulate the light and darkness around him to shield himself but he did none of these things. Instead he stood resolute and merely moments before the blast hit him the leather boots and gloves he wore turned to a standard looking metal and his hood shifted into a helmet. Metal plating spread upwards to his shoulders and the armor seemingly bounced the blast away. It had not actually done that though. He had used telekinesis to bend the direction of he blase around him, a move that was only possible due to his power. Most men would have at least flinched, but did not. He was old enough to have done this before. Nine could feel Gyokuen beginning to summon the Medium and knew that he would have to act faster. Nine knew what the Medium was and he knew the power it held. Oddly though, what Gyokuen was doing seemed wrong, as if she was preforming the wrong ritual. Nine couldn't tell exactly what was off but something was. Nine strengthened his stance and then thrust his arm forward at Gyokuen. As he did a bolt of lightning burst forth towards the woman followed by thousands more from the walls and floor. With his other hand he formed a fist and black chains shot out from the darkness in every corner of the room. They attempted to wrap around and bind Gyokuen where she stood.
"When I need a weapon I will draw one. You are not one to preach about arrogance. You can not raise the medium and fight me at the same time. Both tasks will require all of your focus. "

"Cast To Damnation." . . .☸ ================ ☠================== ❖❖ Smiling slyly as Nine merely responded to her comment about his own arrogance. Impossible to summon both the Medium and face him at the same time, eh? Excitement quickly began to build within her as the other bombarded her with a barrage of powerful elemental attacks. While it did indeed annoy her that he seemed to consider she was nothing more but a more minor being; it seemed that the Doma Queen would have to truly show what she was worth. While indeed summoning the Medium was a difficult task due to multitasking, the summoning process was slowed but not halted. It was simply a matter of completing this battle without a outright loss due to contributing a constant portion of her energy and power to reviving the beast. The black chains would instantly be repelled without missing a beat due to Gyokuen's borg protecting her; flaring up to deflect and halt the chains before they could successfully restrain her. Not even cracking upon the pressure, the magical sphere held up to the sheer force of the chains. Seizing upon her chance, she reached out a hand in that instant. Grabbing onto the sheer force of the thousand bolts fired at her in unison, she managed to tame the lightning in mere seconds. Holding them within her palm, the light soon became corroded as the entire color of the bolts shifted to a pitch black color. Feeding her own power into the powerful lightning, she then fired it directly back at its original sender. After this, she quickly created multiple clones of herself, albeit weaker versions. A total of eight. They all quickly formed a circle, raising their hands simultaneously. Making a hand sign, they fired multiple spiritual chains, shackles, bindings and other such things at the Numbered Being. Very powerful restraining spells and forbidden magic in which it was created specifically to lock down and drain the user of all their life force. While Gyokuen doubted that this would be enough to halt her opponent for more then a few minutes, a few minutes would be all she required. ❖❖ ❖❖ " Once again, this shows you underestimating my abilities. Do not presume to know what I am capable and incapable of accomplishing, Nine. I believe it is time we hastened this little match, is it not~? The River Styx awaits! " ❖❖ ❖❖ Raising her staff, she used her magic to downright subdue and force the black chains back, allowing her for a bit of breathing room. Directly after this, the entire throne room would change in appearance. Altering itself down to the very presence it would give off; everything quickly shifted rapidly. All was pitch black until pure red flames--the flames of /Hell/-- burst forth. Crackling and licking the air with its lethal heat, the ground became jagged and rocky. The sky looked like molten rock; the air reeked of death and misery. Essentially, everything within this throne room now resembled the darkest pits of Tartarus. Where the worst and most vile of all creatures were sent upon their inevitable passing. The pit which held the worst beings of all time--those so old and timeless that they had been erased from the history books and kept secret from the world. The most horrible and powerful of them all; The Medium; rested in the other realm, sealed by the efforts of the universe. The excitement that had originally gripped the Doma Queen was nothing compared to the sheer joy and battle lust she had experienced in that moment. Gripping her staff; the look in her eyes were of a true insane being with far too much power in her hands. The expression of a true psychopath with no true regard for the lives around her; one that would stop at nothing to complete her goal. Her grin was large, perhaps the greatest smile she had ever given before in her life. It was nearly time. Time to bring ruin to this world and set forth to destroy the shackles of destiny. In this sort of environment, her power felt unparalleled. Multiplying further due to it being her original birthplace and essentially her preferred combat arena, she raised her staff. Easily altering the dimension once again, she outright warped space; an ability once previously thought to only be held by the Diviner Bloodline, and twisted it. Intending to trap the Numbered Being in the cold vacuum of space; yet retain his physical body still to inflict more possible damage, the clones sent another round of restrictive and sealing spells to keep him down. Using her free hand, she used the power of darkness and death to bring back the souls of the deceased. Slaughtered warriors since the beginning of creation; returning in their soul-like form. Angry, abandoned since their deaths and left to writhe in eternal pain and torment within Hell itself. Knowing they would itch for a chance for revenge against anyone; anything...she set them upon Nine. They cried with rage, intending to drag down the Numbered Warrior with them. Even resorting to bringing back those who Nine had spent years killing in order to keep the Zaibatsu 'safe' in his mad downward spiral. But all of this would be for naught if the restrictive spells did not prevent him from warping reality. However, she was confident that with this added power; there was no way she could possibly lose. In her excitement, she had hardly noticed the altering of the spell or how it seemed to be very similar but calling for another beast entirely. It was only a matter of time now... ❖❖ ================ ☠ ================== ☸. Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine swiveled his torso to the side and with one hand, smacked the lightning aside. It was his armor that was making everything seem so easy. The metal had been enchanted with great power to resist all forms of magic and power aside from the blade of a sword. The lightning bounced off the floor one and then smashed into a pillar behind him, reducing the very structure to rubble. It was then that Nine noticed the clones forming. He saw the chains as they reached out to get him and he sidestepped the first only to have his ankle caught by another. With one leg bound the rest latched onto him with ease. First his other leg was bound, then his arms and then a chain wrapped around his entire body yet he stood calm as he had been moments ago. He was thinking. The clones were weaker that Gyokuen herself so finding her was not any issue for him and removing the cones had become all the more easy now that they had linked themselves to him. They were using a power he was familiar with. As the world around him shifted Nine wrapped the chains binding his wrists around the gauntlet's he wore. The heat had no effect on him and the realms fire bent around his body as if it was alive and making an effort to avoid him. He passively watched at Gyokuen resurrected those whom he had spent what felt like centuries killing. It was then, wrapped in the chains of his enemy that Nine made his move. The numbered one tightened his grip around the chains causing them to become an reddish/orange color, yet it was not from heat. Nine had reversed the effect of the chains so that he was draining the life force from each of the clones who held any dominion over the constraints.
"Coming here changes nothing. I will not allow you to summon the beast."
As he spoke those whom Gyokuen was resurrecting began to turn to ashes as a bluish/grey blur moved past them at a speed that was nearly untraceable until it ran directly at Nine and came crashing into the bound warrior. The clone had not killed all of the ones Gyokuen was summoning but it had defeated a fair amount and broken the original numbered warrior from his bindings. So where had Nine gone? The moment that the blur had crashed into Nine they had both vanished. The answer to that question was quickly answered as another bolt of lightening shot forth from the sky, downwards towards Gyokuen. Nine landed about thirty feet behind her brandishing a sword made of a nearly all white metal. The sword had nearly hundreds of runes and enchantments carved along the blade. The numbered one turned quickly and with a single swing set loose a wave of raw power that leveled everything in it's path, including thousands of the beasts who were still crawling out of the ground to attack Nine. Then the numbered warrior turned and let loose another wave of power heading directly towards the Doma queen who had gone too close to the sun. Moments later he was gone and a wave similar to the first hurtled towards the queen from every direction. He was playing a game of shadows now. Nine knew how to fight in the light, he knew he could directly strike at the queen but she would be too clever for that. She would counter or block each strike and eventually she would be able to pin him down with the chains again. Freeing himself had taken far longer than he would have liked and making a clone as he had was not always safe. Nine had sent the clone into the vacuum of space that Gyokuen had intended for him and the clone had died moments later. Fighting from the shadows with deception was the safest method for this battle. It did not take very long to summon the medium and the chains had already cost Nine more time than he would have liked. He needed to keep her occupied as long as he could to drain her power, then he would sever her head. Caught up in the game of deception Nine had stopped paying attention to the ritual she was doing and began focusing on what she should have been doing. He did not realize exactly who she was summoning now. If he had, he would have driven his hand through her heart the moment he saw her...

"Cast To Damnation." . . .☸ ================ ☠================== ❖❖ Narrowing her eyes as her adversary managed to free himself from the bindings and shackles weighing him down, the Doma Queen quickly found herself in a hefty predicament. Despite her best efforts, Nine managed to outmaneuver her in but a flash. Her clones struggled to contain their being after the Numbered Being took to absorbing their very essence. Escaping from the multiple chains; the spells she had placed on him via the clones should have impeded him just by the slightest for her to raise her borg. Barely deflecting the original powerful strike, Gyokuen slid back while clutching her right forearm. The strike still had managed to graze her skin, causing the dark crimson liquid called blood to flow down her limb. Gritting her teeth with pain, the side-effects of such a heavy energy output began to quickly weigh down on her. Pain racked through her body in quick flashes all over again but they were not quite as horrible as the original she had to endure. For not even half a second, she had the time to consider and think before Nine's rapid bombardment of attacks and slash waves reached her position. She could not block; her defensive borg would shatter the instant more then a few made contact. She could not absorb all at the same time without risking a severe injury and deflecting was out of the question. There was no other choice. A smile began to once again reemerge onto the lips of the ancient Queen, her power as ancient or immense as nearly anything compared to before. Only the very being whom she faced then could rival her power. There was not another she could think of who could be worthy of unleashing her full array of abilities any other time. But The Medium continued to impede her from fighting at her maximum potential. But if she could merely hold out for a few more moments. ❖❖ ❖❖ " Then you have already failed in your intentions. How can you hope to detain such a being; when it is already upon us? " ❖❖ ❖❖ Risking another direct slash to her side, she forced herself to direct a bit of her own energy into instantaneous regeneration. But this allowed her just the bit more breathing room she required. Using the very ability in which the nearly long-forgotten Diviner Clan were so feared and revered for, or perhaps one specialty of them, Gyokuen proceeded to warp space. Combining this with her ability to bend reality to an extent and transport herself into different dimensions at the flick of a finger, she forced her entire body to demateralize. Barely avoiding the rest of the attacks as a result, the deep wound at her side seemed to flare to life once again. As if the regeneration were slowly undoing itself until it was merely stuck at the half-point stage. Chuckling with a sadistic sense of irony, the Doma Queen licked the blood off her hand. Gripping onto her staff, she reemerged into their reality, intending to finally complete the plan the Doma had intended to accomplish since its very conception. Her goal and intended 'fate' for all. Standing in front of her throne, she spread her arms wide with a laugh as great and filled with hateful joy as any being could ever muster. Despite the blood soaking through her clothes, the final lock was all that remained. All that it would take was one moment of pure concentration to summon the best back into this world. Unwilling to let the slightest possible chance of loss get in her way, Gyokuen thrust her free hand forward. Intending to trap Nine in a rift of space at the base of his form, she then used her staff to use the very darkness that had radiated within the air in great abundance to aid her in this task. If held down for even a moment, she would let loose with an almighty combined assault. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Ice, Magma, Gravity, Darkness, Divine, Light, Nothingness. All combined into one yet separated into each of their own specific element. All aimed at Nine and let loose in one large blast that would have been more then enough to wipe nearly any other opponent off the face of existence. Permanently. But she knew, if it did connect, it would do nothing but somewhat injure him at best. Taking the chance to use her excessive amount of blood; taking advantage of her previous tactic to gain the last needed sacrificial object; she proceeded to begin to boast greatly as the very ground and skies began to crumble and rupture. It was as if the entire Earth itself was the worst earthquake of all time. The air turned acidic, filled with immense killing intent. So wrapped up in her task and the elation of finally completing it; she was not aware that the energy signature was absolutely nothing of what she truly expected. Or at least, until the very last moment. The change in her tone upon her last sentence was clear as it was surprisingly confused... ❖❖ ❖❖ " It is over, Nine of the Numbered Beings! I, Gyokuen Ren, have won this duel. The Medium has been revived and It shall wreck havoc and wipe existence from this very universe. Lest the world be plunged into eternal chaos and damnation for the rest of eternity! A fitting end for my adversary! Let us--...Hold...what in the twelve gates of the night...?! Nine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From the shadows Nine could watch Gyokuen and he took every chance he had to delays the summoning but it had become clear to him that she was still making progress. This was bad. He spent so much time leaping from one place to another going through space itself to avoid anything she could throw back at him that he was unable to feel the slight pressure weighing him down. It had slowed his movement for merely a second, but when it did, she hit him with everything. The gravity forced him down, the darkness pounded at his armors magical defense along with the light. When they had broken through the magic, the wind blew him across the floor only to have the magma encase his body. The metal on the armor turned a redish orange shade and began searing into his skin before the water hit and hardened the magma into a solid stone. Nine felt trapped for a brief moment before shattering the rock around himself and standing slowly. Pain tore through his body as his flesh began to mend itself from the current scared and burned state. He could feel blood running down his arm from where it had broken near his elbow. The wind had thrown him and he must have landed on it awkwardly because the bone was now protruding from his skin. He did not noticed that as his blood dripped off and splashed across the floor it was quickly absorbed into the earth. It took seconds for his body to heal entirely but the job had been done. A sacrifice had been made in blood on both sides.
Nine took a step towards Gyokuen before he saw what had happened. She, herself must have recognized it as well. There was no colossal beast, no great monster. No Medium. There was nothing. Then it happened, the ground shook violently and Nine's body began to glow. He knew what has happening now, he could feel it inside him. Gyokuen had resurrected a monster far worst than the Medium. Nine let out a blood boiling scream and doubled over in agony. His screams did not cease. The light emitting from his body began to take a humanoid form behind him it became more and more detailed until the light stopped emitting from Nine and solidified entirely behind him. The light took the form of flesh and bone until a man stood in it's place with shoulder length black hair, peppered by grey streaks. His eyes were as black and vast as the night. He looked confused for a moment as the man looked around frantically. He didn't know where he was or how he had gotten here. Then Nine spoke from the ground in great agony.
"Kill him now!"
It was a short scream but it should have told Gyokuen everything she needed to know. At the sound of those words a sword appeared in the man's hand, a sword which he drove through Nine's leg as if to send a message.
