OK. So those last cupcakes had been... Alright. Not great. Certainly not enough to temper the witch's foul mood. And foul moods always meant that trying again would yield better results. Always.
With such a positive mindset, Belladonna wandered back to try anew. This time she'd leave her cupcakes in for longer, to insure that they weren't a sopping pile of unbaked batter! YEAH.
Deciding on actual vanilla this time, the witch grabbed up all the ingredients required and hastily dumped them into a bowl. A bit fool hardily she mixed them up, poured them into the pan and tossed them into the oven. Her anger was still present, but had diminished (mostly) so Belladonna was content to find a small place to sit and wait for her cupcakes. Of course, idle hands meant a wandering mind and soon enough she was angrier and more bitter than before about things. (Who did he think he was, going around waving at her? Tossing her aside like nothing? She was FABULOUS.)
The acrid smell of burnt food made the witch jumped up with a shriek as her cupcakes came out of the oven on fire.
Maybe she'd left them in the oven just a little bit too long....

AT LEAST SHE COULDN'T FAIL AT GARNISHING STUFF, RIGHT?

Except all of her garnishes melted too and looked terrible and Belladonna had to momentarily headdesk over her failure.

Bella would suddenly find herself on the receiving end of a tight hug, an automatic reaction from Xiu upon seeing the look in her eyes. "Of course you can join! We'd be happy to have you in the club, Bella! Really!"

She smiled as she drew back, giving the witch a gentle pat on the shoulder. "You'll make perfect cupcakes in no time! All it takes is a positive attitude and a little practice, right?" And it was clear that Bella already possessed the former, if the fact that she wanted to get better was any indication.

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank youuuu!!!" The witch replied in quite a loud and excited voice as she crushed Xiu to her in a hug. She might have even bothered to jump up and down a little with the ghoul still in her grasp. It was just so exciting to be accepted and hugs were always a plus!
"I'll make awesome cupcakes! Just you wait! I can practice! I promise I will and--Um..."
It was odd for the witch to stop herself in the middle of a sentence, let alone a whole tirade of words and excited phrases. But, well... There was a little ghoul being awfully menacing just behind Xiu. Confused by this, Belladonna leaned to one side to better peer at the little ghoul who seemed to be doing her best spy impersonation. It was rather excellent, actually.

"Hi! Do you need something?" The witch asked the little ghoul in a polite tone as she nudged Xiu forward, because she was the one running this joint. Let her be the one to introduce everything and be the leader in this situation. Belladonna just wanted to be polite.
But oooh ooooh lookit those little shells in the ghouls hair! Maybe she was aquatic! Perfect for the witch's scavenger hunt!

Yes. Yes. Be afraid, be very, very afraid. For Sibyls were the more terrifying things in all of Halloween. The Selkie practically sparkled with happiness when the light caught the pretty ghoul's red hair. Her eyes darted down to the list and then up to the two ghouls.

They were perfect.

"HIIIIIIII~!" Sibyl flailed both arms in all too excited waves, jumping up and down and nearly flinging her scavenger hunt sheet away with her antics. "Bake? Um...no! I...DO YOU SHAPESHIFT?!" She asked the white-haired ghoul, grinning from ear to ear. Teal eyes shifted to the red-haired ghoul, squealing with delight as she held out the list for both of them to see. "HIHIHIHI MY NAME IS SIBYL! It's nice to meetses youuuuuuuu~! I need names and signings and ohohohohoh will you sign oh please oh please oh pleeeeeeeeeeease~?"

...At least she got to the point.

Hello precious, darling, excitable little ghoul, did you want to come home with Belladonna and be her cuddle buddy for the rest of eternity? For the witch was instantly smitten with the creature's exuberance and gleefulness. She almost began to sparkle over the ghoul as she shouted at them and Belladonna did have to keep herself from reaching down and pulling the darling thing into a hug. But no! Politeness and manners must hold sway! Even over little scarling things who were so cute and adorable and eeeeee~
"Sibyl? Its so nice to meet you! I'm Belladonna Divine. And of course we'll sign!" The witch replied as she peered down at the list. Hmm, what to sign though! She had a last name and a weapon and red hair. But she could only sign one, that was the rule. It would be easier to find someone else with a last name, and there were plenty of Reapers around. But not too many people with red hair. So with a mighty flourish, the witch signed her name for the little cutie. Could they cuddle now?

Wait! No!
"Ah! You wouldn't happen to be aquatic, would you Miss Sibyl?" Belladonna asked as she produced her own list. It only had two names written on it thus far, and since it was already out, the witch titled her head to Xiu and batted her eyelashes at the ghoul.
"Would you mind signing for me too, oh pretty white haired lovely?" Also a bit of flattery helped too~

Two signatures! This was the best! Sibyl squeaked and jumped for joy, taking the signed list and cheering. "THANK YOUUUUU! Aquatic? Yes! I am a Selkie!" She gestured to the seal pelt wrapped securely around her shoulders before she took the ghoul's list and scribbled her name on it. She did the same for the white-haired ghoul's list as well.

It was almost illegible. Good luck.

"All donesies! THANK YOUUUUU!"

And then she was gone...she ran away to find more victims. But she would never forget Belladonna and Xiu.
