Ofelia had entered the area following after Belladonna, all the while chanting and chanting that she was wanted to head home, that she needed to head home. She came just in time to see people attacking one another, an event she avoided because she had made a promise, or she thought she had made a promise, and she hissed in the same manner as before as everyone tore into one another.
And then came the fogs, and then came the screams, and the sound of someone yelling? The paranoia in her mind, in her body and bloodstream, let her know they weren't welcome, that they were TRESPASSING here and it was dangerous. The teen slapped her hands on the sides of her head, palms pressed tightly over her ears, and she pounded a few more times until the creature from which they were likely to be fleeing appeared.
If she attacked that, would she go home? The INSANITY seemed to be pooling at its base, and with a flick of her wrist Rue was out and summoned. The boo hag yawned, delighted to be brought out, but when Ofelia turned her against the creature rather than any of the students she was disappointed. Still, there was energy to be had, and the weapon cackled as she felt herself grow charged.
Ofelia, after the strong strike, prepped herself for another but looked to see where the rest of her group was. "Belldee? Mor?" Her voice sounded so strange calling their names.
She went at it with one hand turned claw, grimacing.

But anyways, thats exactly what Bul did. Sure he didn't have the FEAR to attack the creature with but he did have the gnads and animal instincts to give it another shot only minus the snotball effect.
Another hit satisfying connected with the monstrous creature, with a dull thunk, barely registering at all no doubt. But it was the best he could do, given the circumstances.
What mattered was the fear and getting enough of it.

The sounds of raging battle might have been a whisper compared to the roar of the creature that came out of the fog. Taima took a step back with the force of it, her hands tight over her ears until it faded into echoes. Only then did she look up--and up--at the monster.
"Welp," she muttered to no one in particular as students and hunters alike started rushing at the creature, "guess I won't be needing this for a while." She pulled the skull pin off her neckerchief and tossed it over her shoulder. She was halfway through the transition from ghoul to bird when it landed, her wings stretching and stretching as the rest of her body grew to accommodate them. With a sweep of her wings, she was in the air, shooting like a missile towards the fog-creature. Although it looked largely insubstantial, she felt something solid give a little as she snapped at it.
Without further hesitation, Mei followed Bul's lead and moved to attack the creature again. If it was anything like last year, then they needed to stop it and quick. Though, she questioned if all of them attacking was a good or bad thing. Was it even doing anything?

A hand came to rest upon the mare's shoulder, and she jumped, startled at first, before she realized the guardian had come to calls one again. "You're safe," she murmured, tipping her head to touch her cheek to the back of his hand briefly. "We lost the colt." She sounded worried, and why not? The executioner had been taken by the fog already, was it such a stretch that it would claim him again?
That worry wouldn't have time to fester. The soft background noise of voices, barely perceived on the stairs, was growing louder. Urgency turning what had moments before been a comfort into a new source distress. Tension sang through the horsewoman's body, and she dug her own balls into midnight dark palms in a bid to keep herself rooted. Her mismatched eyes wide and staring.

The word echoed through her mind like a note struck on a piano, humming and vibrating down too her very core. She saw her old study, the walls lined with shelves full of books, takes piled high with parchment and models. A fire, warm and inviting, blazed in the gate, and old weapons lined the mantel. There were furs and pets lining the worn chair pulled close to the heath, and once again she could smell the wonderfully comforting scent of warm fur and old books.

This was home. Her home, before the chaos on the island and the destruction of their world.
Hesitantly she reached out a hand to brush her fingers along the spine of an ancient book, but stilled just before she actually touched it. Afraid it would be real, or perhaps more afraid that it wouldn't be. Something felt off. Some nagging sense of discontent the refused to be shaken our downed out by the chorus of soft playing within her mind.
She didn't know what to do, so she merely stood there. Throat right with the longing off things lost. This, all of this, it was exhausting.

falling down the rabbit hole, leon didn't have a clue what to expect, expecially after everything that happened to get here. Maybe there was going to be Narnia down there.
When he landed on the ground with a "oof" and surveying the land, seeing that rampaging beast and everyone attacking it. "Welp, that's what I expected." he barked loudly with a shrug and finally summoned one tired and cranky chainsaw.
-way to join the party late meathead, the hour doves are probably finished- nid growled and the chainsaw revved in response to the dragon's mood.
"Well that may be true, but the entree is still being served." Leon countered back cockily and charged in to the mix. Right next to Madison and covered the girls back.

That lack luster strike coming in from the side didn't escape Shun. After all, once he made his attack, he had looked over towards the lycan to make sure she was keeping up with him. This wasn't a good sign. If she kept this up he was really going to need to try and cover for her one way or another.
"Keep at it. I need you to give it your all. I know you can do this, please," he urged. Now wasn't really the time for hesitance.
That said, he sliced into the fog, followed up with another stab. The sooner they deal with this, the better.

Candace hadn't exactly been paying attention to anyone outside of Shun and Mitsu, so it came as a surprise to her when suddenly a damn dragon appeared.

"No.." She gasped and fell to her knees as it roared, her hands raising up to press tightly against her ears in an effort to block out as much of the sound as she could. No! Nonono! Not this thing again! They killed it! It was dead! Destroyed! Nothing but a pile of bones! Her head snapped up to watch who was attacking the creature now. This was their chance. They had to get rid of this thing once and for all. A look was given to Shun and Mitsu before she ran straight at the creature, jumping as high as she could to give it a hit. It was difficult without being a ranged weapon user but damnit!
