Cyan was unable to be seen by demon or human eyes, as she matched the landscape around her. Her anger and rage subsided as she heard Kisami's approval. Thank you... however, I believe I over did myself... I realize a fire demon is not my best enemy, however, have you ever though of how dirt can put out even the hardest and heaviest flame? Exprlosions? Even electricity can not go through the soil of Earth... I have taken care of business here. I am going to come to you. She finished her thought with a curt edge to her tone. "That frivolous little jerk. Explosions are helpful, but fire is nothing more than another part of Nature... however, first I must deposit this Elemental safely away." Cyan said quietly to herself. The Earthquake ceased after a gentle tremor, only half the school had fallen down, leaving the main building still intact.

Her power drained, but only for a moment, she helped Kevin off his perch and disappeared. She climbed the vines that clung to the school's wall, aiming for the roof. Her anger now at ease, she relaxed knowing to expect Ashnod's attitude, but grateful that Kisami had left her own mark on the crude demon.

As she moved up the vines with an agility and strength that belied her age and looks, she reached the top of the building and came face to face with Takaya, Kisami and Ashnod.

Her emerald eyes were cold as she looked at Ashnod, but when they fell on Takaya, she froze as an old memory played in her thoughts.

"His name... is... Takaya, blood Demon, he saved me from... the elementals..." Cyan's father gasped out the words as he lay on the ground just outside the Dark Forest. "Papa, I'll get the spring water! You can't die!" Cyan's younger self whimpered, pleadingly as she knelt next to her father. He was turning black as she laid a tiny hand on his shoulder. "Cyan, Takaya is a good Demon... should you find him again, help him as he helped me... Heal his ailments of his body, for he can not live longer than the humans of this world." Her father gasped out the last words she would ever hear from him again, "And Cyan, remember... death and life are one and the same... those who live, are already dead, those that are dead are now living..."

The Memory faded and Cyan now stood before Takaya, only coming up to his waist, but still she held power as she reached for his shoulder. "I am Cyan, Cyan Nykyrian, the Daughter of the Last Demon of Nature - ruler of the Dark Forest and Keeper of the powers of Nature. Might I presume that you," Cyan looked around her then back at Takaya, "Are the very same, Takaya - Blood Demon who long ago aided a Nature Demon held captive by the Elementals?" Her words were firm, but coming from so small a person it would be comical had she not held a certain amount of power hidden behind her gentle features.

Takaya could not help but clap his hands and applaud his second's little show. Ah, the lovely scent of blood was now in the air. Very subtle, yet such a succulent flavor that the fire demon had, it had a hint of spiciness to it. Kisami's moves were quite impressive, and did not constitute a breach of Demon laws, to boot. "Well done, indeed. Ashnod, dearest 'friend', I believe other elements are not as helpless as you make them out to be. I could not have asked for a more eloquent showcasing." He chuckled. Noticing the young-looking demon of Nature in front of him, Takaya froze. He..He had heard Kisami say Cyan, but..he had dismissed it as coincidence. He still recognized her face, and the features inherited from her father. The last time he had seen this Demon, she was barely a child, still clinging behind her father at all times.

"I..I am." He said shakily. Her presence brought forth many, many memories. Memories of a difficult fight. Memories of a friend, bloodied and battered. Memories of vengeance for a fallen comrade. But, more than that, she caused him a splitting headache, which in turn called forth...
aspects of his personality, he had long since suppressed.

"I am Takaya Nykoro. Yes. It's been...a long time indeed, Cyan. Hah. You were still in diapers when I last saw you. You've grown up quite a bit." It was very odd. Takaya's voice had changed a tad, to a slightly less serious tone. Even more peculiar, though, was...what was this? He..He didn't hate everything. Other than Ashnod, of course. But still. Takaya was perturbed by his lack of bloodlust. "I'm...I'm sorry I could not do more for your father, Cyan." He said as he bowed his head.

Cyan released Takaya's shoulder and smiled with a quirk. One of her skills and abilities was making others feel compassion, but it only worked when she touched them. "My father sends his pledge of loyalty to you." She gave a gentle nod, then looked at Ashnod, "I do not agree with your earlier dismissal, little young one. But that is little concern." She said with a calming tone. "You will not harm Takaya nor Kisami, so long as they protected by Nature. But as long as you've sworn fealty to them then I will also not reduce you to a compassionate fool." Cyan smiled warmly her entire countenance changed again to one of cheerful merriment. "My father would not have wanted you to have done anything more than you did Lord Tayaka." Cyan used the term 'Lord' for it was in her nature to show ultimate respect to those she held close to her memory or in this case, her fathers memory.

Cyan moved away from Tayaka and came to Kisami and gave her a thumbs up. "I didn't know you had trained this much with your knives, may I take a look at them?" Cyan hadn't seen the knives in many years, she wanted to inspect them for any possible breakage that may have happened - even spirit swords and knives received over time.

Turning once more to face Takaya, "I apologize for the earthquake, I do hope it did not unsettle you. It was a terrible mistake on my part. I should not have let my anger grow so." She gave a gentle bow, then smiled. "However, I had a very limited amount of power due to some untimely issues in the forest a little while ago..." She gave a pointed look towards the forest, but then shook her head. "May I ask you something, Lord Tayaka," She grew serious, her entire body radiated a certain power that seemed wild - untamed.

"Why do you wish to destroy the Elementals and humans of this world? Do you not need them for your spirit to remain alive? For your flesh does not last beyond the span of a human, does it not?" Cyan's little figure beside three larger taller demons seemed comical from outside view point.

However, little did anyone know, she was holding something back...

A grimace spread across Takaya's face. He knew what his old friend had wanted, and there was nothing he could have done more, yet still, regret lingered in his head. "Fair enough. But, I consider myself to still have failed him. I should be the one indebted to you." Yet still, he had to chuckle at her apology. "Think nothing of it, young Nykyrian. It was a fine display of your powers. Although, I was trying to keep our presence hidden. I am fine. It takes much more than that to warrant concern from me." The demon of blood gave a warm smile...very uncharacteristic for him. Despite her affinity towards compassion, Cyan was a model demon, perfect for his ever-growing ranks. There was something he couldn't place about her, however. Hidden potential perhaps?

Looking down upon the small demon, his eyes filled with determination. "Because it is the way of the world. Demon's exist to kill Elementals. 'I must destroy them, before they can become too powerful'. Takaya paused. Normally, he would have answered completely differently, and told tales of how despicably pathetic all Elementals and humans were. "All demons know these words. They course through my veins. It is in your very nature. The winds whisper this phrase to kisami. And they are burned into the heart of our Fire friend." He then sighed. When did he become so damn talkative?

"Why do I wish, though? Everyone does, however, have their own reason to fight. I have been killed, and reborn thousands of times over. My soul constantly enduring, and changing through the times. You've lived a very long period, by most standards. But, the pure magnitude of time is difficult to comprehend." Takaya hesitated. Composing his self and acting on instinct alone, he never could place words on what really drove him it until now. He finally realized, in an odd moment of clarity. A somewhat peaceful look spread over his face. "I've fought and killed, and lost many, many friends and comrades. Simply put. When the war is finally over. My soul will be allowed to rest. My cycle of rebirth will end."

Takaya Nykoro, the person, was now temporarily gone. What was now in front of his demon comrade's, was the bared soul of the everlasting Demon of Blood he had forgotten somewhere along the way.

Ashnod

Ashnod had allowed the knives to hit him, not really caring to dodge or stop the attack cold. He'd wanted to feel the sensation of pain for a brief moment. Now that the earthquake hdad stopped, he lowered himself to the rooftop once more, then wiped the blood away from his cheeks, as his hand passed over the wounds, thye sealed up, as he cauterized them with a simple thought. "Well, now it's me who hates to interrupt... well. Actually I don't, but my my... It seems someone. Takaya, is going soft... how disappointing, and here I was hoping we'd have this over with quickly. To answer your demand. No, I will not swear my loyalties to you, as they lie elswhere, with an entity far beyond your skill and powers, it's only because of that person that I stand before you, and it is because of THOSE loyalties that I will fight with you, but I will continue to do things as I see fit, as I always have." His eyes glowed a menacing red as he looked toward Kisami. "So then, it seems you believe to have made a fool of me, I assure you you haven't. If you'll look at your shirt sleeve. You may find a little present." His gloat was entirely founded, as Kisami had come even close to him, she was exposed to a little flame that Ash had made to protect himself once he'd seen her darting for him, while he intended no real trauma from it, he did decide to burn her clothing a little.

Turning back to Takaya and Cyan he grinned with an evil look which shot from his blackened heart.
"Well little girl, I would have to applaud you o your little prank, but I'm rather displeased that you dismissed my capabilities so hastily. I'd say we're even on that note now, wouldn't you? And Takaya, while they may not be entirely helpless, they're still a bit too weak to be playing with fire. You of all people know how well fire can burn... after all, how many times have you been burned to death? A number I'd imagine..." the demon chortled before walking to the edge of the roof, then spitting down the side, his saliva burning into the concrete below like molten lava.

((OOC: Yeah, he can, but assumptions can lead to terrible things, of anything, overestimating one's opponent is only slightly worse than underestimating them.))

The change in Takaya's demeanor as he reunited and spoke with Cyan was amazing. Kisami's mouth hung open as she watched her usually cold, sadistic, and reserved commander act like...well, more like a person than a primitive android. She was happy to see Cyan reunited with the man who had tried to save her father, and a little surprised that it was, in fact, the same Takaya, but to see the Blood Demon so...personable was shocking. Welcome, but still shocking. Knowing his true reason for fighting--that he had a reason other than the sheer carnage of the fight--was comforting, and made Kisami feel a little closer to her comrade. It displeased her how easily Ashnod dismissed Takaya's revelation.

Bowing deeply before him, Kisami said in a hushed tone, "Shushou-sama, I...thank you for sharing that with us. I promise, we will win this fight." Then, impulsively, she threw her arms around his neck. With a quick, tight hug, she danced away, grinning hugely. "Isn't this great, the four of us together! It'll be absolutely wonderful, once we learn to combine our powers properly...learn to work together...learn to not hate each other period..." Her voice trailed off with barely hidden cynicism that she hid behind a wry smile. There were already some obvious tensions, like the long standing history between her commander and the Fire Demon, but she was certain that they would work them out. They had to; there were much bigger things at stake.

She skipped over to Cyan, summoning the Spirit Knives. They were the only knives she did so with; they were her emergency weapon. After learning how to properly use her powers, she hadn't needed to carry around all of her knives with her all the time, but she still enjoyed the comfort of having a blade handy. "Err...sorry," she said, glancing briefly over to Ashnod, waving her slightly singed sleeve at him, "but I'm not sorry about the whole face cutting thing. You should have known better than to underestimate my dear sister, she's much more than she appears--short as that appearance is." She let out a small giggle before handing over the knives to Cyan. "They've changed a little as I've grown," Kisami commented, "but I've taken good care of them. And now that I have better control of my powers, my knife work is phenomenal." She beamed proudly at Cyan.

Ashnod

"You're right Kisami! Once we get past all that, we'll be the best team ever, it's so great it makes me wanna hurl!" Ashnod chirped in a satirical tone back to the Wind Demon. "Please, grow up... Demons are hateful creatures, we're born to kill and loathe those around us, working together is a pure necessity and nothing further. You three for example make me sick to my stomache. You really think you could've hurt me if I'd not allowed it? That burn on your sleeve should serve as a reminder to you that I'm not to be trifled with by the likes of you. It could easily have been your eyes, rendering you helpless, or your entire body had I decided to fly above you." Ash was disgusted by the sense of humanity his fellow demons were displaying... Almost enough to vomit as he had threatened to.

"Anyway, you really think I care for your apologies? A clue, no! But this makes at least twice now I'd say... Twice I've so easily gotten under your skin child, you're almost too easy to mess with, you and your little plant friend there." Ash said with a displeasent tone of voice that made his beratement of the entire lot that much more detestable.

Takaya grinned and gave a nod of acknowledgement to his second. It was good to know that he did have allies that trusted him, and would follow him through hell. "Thank you, Kisami. I..I appreciate that. Our powers will, indeed, be unrivaled." His expression was calm, and almost happy. He was actually feeling pretty good now, it was so odd...Not just hatred and emptiness inside of him. But, Ashnod was beginning to really piss off Takaya. He could not stand when demons behaved so childishly. A single demon believing himself to be better than the rest. A goddamn DEMON who doesn't know his PLACE. He DESPISED THAT SON OF A b***h. "THAT...IS.. ENOUGH!" Takaya shouted at the insolent demon. Something about Ashnod just..took something away from him. But, he didn't have any idea what it was.

Just as suddenly as it had come, his personality shifted back to normal. What the hell had they been talking about? Takaya shuddered for a second. Doesn't matter. Rules needed to be set. He pulled out a fresh cigarette and quickly lit it. Exhaling, Takaya glared at Ashnod. "Now, listen you worthless little child." He moved up to stand directly in front of the fire demon. "I will not." The blood began rushing into his eyes, until they were completely crimson. "Tolerate." He stood, not but a foot away from his subordinate. "This. Behavior. Now. You will play nice. And you will not piss off your fellow demons." He grabbed the demon by the collar.

Takaya paused for just a second to blow smoke into Ashnod's face. "By demon law, if you go against my goals, then I have the right to execute you. You are causing problems among my ranks, whelp. Continue this, and you will not live to see another day. So save it for the elementals. Once they lie dead, you will leave. And never. Return."

Ashnod

Ashnod inhaled the cigarette smoke deeply, then exhaled it back into Takaya's face with a slight tinge of heat to it, then, once Takaya was finished speaking he laughed hysterically. "YES! That's it! That's the face I remember you having last time we met! I KNEW you still had it in you! That face, that WONDERFUL, spiteful face! I live for those looks you know! I LOVE them, I NEED them!" The Fire Demon's words were slightly taunting, but mostly maniacal and true.

"This! Yes, this is what I mean, show me your hatred, it's TRUE proof that you're a Demon!" His laughter subsiding greatly, but still there, Ash calmed down enough to hold the conversation properly. "Oh, I will leave, that you can be sure of, but only when this is all done, remember, I don't report to you, I report to the lord of the Fire Demons. Directly I might add. Kill me, and you will be hunted by every Fire Demon within 100 miles relentlessly until you are dead. You, and everyone you care for will be erased from existence, even with your little rebirthing thing, you will be mercilessly slaughtered for centuries to come, until you STAY dead. That's a promise from the Fire Demon king himself, which I should add extends to all of you. Now, with that in mind, I suggest you set me down, before things get a little too hot... He was confident in his words, giving them great pull, as he had never been one for bluffing, it wasn't as much fun as instilling the fear of God in those around him. The lord of the Fire Demons was indeed backing him, and his sole reason for being there at all. Ash continued with one final gleeful line before going silent to let everything he has said sink in. "Besides, look at it this way, with me here, you three have something to unify you, hatred for little old me."

OOC:
Cyan had been speaking out of experience with OTHER fire elementals and demons that had explosive power, she wasn't necessarily referring to just YOUR abilities.

BIC:
Cyan laughed, she couldn't help it. Kisami had given her the Spirit Knives and they were indeed altered by her personal growth as a Wind and Knife wielding Demon. "Nice work, here ya go!" Cyan handed them back to Kisami after running her fingers down each blade, for what she had done was given them a spell.

Cyan looked at Ashnod, she wasn't really thrilled about his attitude, but honestly, it was starting to become a usual thing she quickly became accustomed too. Due to her longevity in this world, it was no wonder...

Cyan dismissed Ashnod's words with a simple wave of her hand. Simple enough Demon, obviously he's just being a jerk because he can't stand being someone's puppet. Cyan thought to herself, but she spoke nothing of it to anyone.

She quietly walked back to Takaya, but as she looked at him again, his aura changed back to normal. Well, at least I got the information I wanted... Cyan thought to herself. She quietly climbed back over the wall using the vine. With only her head above the small wall. With a friendly wave, she smiled.

"Well since you obviously don't need little ol' me around, you've got this amazingly powerful fire demon at your disposal, a simple Nature Demon is not needed!" She emphasised the compliiment towards Ashnod and with a warm smile, she meant it too. They say kill them with kindness, even if it's completely wasted... eh... oh well. They wont need me if they have that fire demon. Cyan thought to herself. Then with a smirk she couldn't help a chuckle, He thinks he can just destroy anything and everyone, well destroying a Nature demon destroys Nature... without Nature, no other life could exist - including fire demons. I have my weaknesses, but as long as a Nature Demon is alive, the forest remains healthy and growing. If the forest dies then so does the power it has to restore life to the world. So let him be arrogant, it is afterall, his nature. Cyan thought as she gave a final wave and disappeared behind the wall climbing down the vine.

Fire Lord, eh? I wonder if Azul will know anything about him...could he be another of Father's old friends, or a foe of his? This is just getting too interesting. Cyan reached the bottom and looked up towards the others. Father was ruthless, but not cruel. Fire is my enemy, however, earth is fire's weakness too... But I will not intrude on their war... I will not kill... not... again... Cyan glanced at her own hands, they were clean and seemed to give off a demonic aura as did the rest of her, but in her mind she could still see the blood that stained them so many years ago.

Completely unmoved by Ashnods little display, Takaya merely continued to smoke his cigarette as his eyes returned to normal. "Eheh..." This, was actually pretty funny. One of life's grander jokes, it seemed. "Hahaha..You cast your lot in with that defeated coward? I'll admit. I'm a bit disappointed, Ashnod." The fire demon was not putting on an act. In fact, he genuinely held confidence in his 'superior' it seemed. "The 'king' of Fire demons holds no power. He hasn't fought elementals for centuries now. Possibly the second most pathetic demon I've met." Takaya chuckled once more, in a dark way. "I see how it is. He is far too afraid of a fight to come himself, and instead sends a lowly pawn to appease me." Hmm..gave Takaya an excellent name for his little subordinate, in fact.

Having led most of the wars of Elementals and Demons, there was not an elder Demon who did not fear and respect the lineage of the Blood Demons. "Now. You will hold your tongue, little pup. Lest I cause it to bleed for eternity. Listen, and listen well, pup. I fear no Fire demon. Should it come to me having to kill you, I will not hesitate to destroy each and every one of the few kin who would dare cause hostilities." Takaya glanced to his side quickly, to register Cyan leaving. Either Kisami had not fully convinced her, or she did not enjoy the presence of the Fire Demon that much, which he could not blame her for. He would go after her in due time, to further insure her cooperation.

Turning back to Ashnod, he smiled patronizingly. "Blood has no trivial weakness, pup. It is the essence of Life and of Death. A cycle that has and will always continue to exist, pup." He then turned his back to the demon, and shrugged. "Listen to me, or not. I care very little as long as you get the job done, pup."

Kisami accepted her knives back with a small frown, her eyes focused on Ashnod. She couldn't stand his negative energy; a life of disappointment had conditioned her to make the best if every situation, no matter how much she hated it. She had given him due respect, and he had spit in her face, completely dismissing her. Kisami sighed and refused to reply to him. She would work with him if ordered, but she wasn't going to initiate any frivolous contact. It was clear he had no desire to even be near her, and she would happily oblige. Takaya, thank goodness, understood her capabilities enough to respect her as his comrade, and would at least defend her from the excess abrasiveness.

As Cyan quietly took her leave, Kisami called out to her. "Cyan," she shouted, leaning over the side of the roof, "let's catch up sometime, ne? You know how to reach me if you need me! And I'll let you know if there's anything I need your skills with!" As the petite Nature Demon reached the ground, she waved happily. Turning back to Takaya, she sat on the roof, crossing her legs daintily. "Please," she said, motioning between him and Ashnod, "don't let me interrupt. As soon as you two are satisfied, I would just like to know my next orders. Perhaps I might be privy to this plan you've been hatching...?" She cocked her head to the side with a wide grin, affecting cute and adorable as best she knew.
