Kwasi stared at the little bat as it flapped off. What, was his guess wrong? He wasn't sure exactly where Mars was on earth, but he had liked the name. Turning dejectedly to leave, he blinked in surprise as he was offered a tart treat. Woah, what? Awesome! Maybe he was a little biased, but he'd take a minipet over tokens any day. They were just too cute! Cool. Just too cool.

The world holds its breath, he throws back his arm, brings it forward .... aaand misses every single pin. Kwasi stared in shock as his ball seemingly swerved to avoid them. How had that happened?? Maybe it was mystical forces from beyond time and space? Or a pothole? Yeah, it had to be one of those.

So far this booth was great, if a little strange. When he got to the kentucky derby of bat racing, however, he was a little confused. How did one differenciate between bats? What did a fast bat look like?
He pointed to one at random, and winced when it lost. Oh well...

Feng came upon the shallow pull and sighed. He was always sticking body parts in water at these booths. He tried to reach down with his hand an grab a soggy furball, and immediately gott a wing to the back of his head for it.
"Ow!"
He walked away quickly, looking back with a glare.

batty sandiegoAs Mayaa wandered into the booth, she realized it was a LOT deeper than she thoug- wait, where was the booth manager?
A small squeak greeted her, and she turned her head to see a tiny bat, cocking his head at her.
"Oh! Do you know where the booth manager is?"
A couple more squeaks.
"Hmm..." Mayaa rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Do you think he could maybe be at another booth?"
A headshake, more squeaks, and the bat flew off.
It returned shortly though, plopping a tart into her hands.
"Uh... thanks?"
They never did find Old Batty.

Mayaa LOVED watching races, especially flying ones.

Surprisingly, the one she was cheering for had won.
"HOORAY!" she shouted, disturbing the other bats, being chased herself by those woken up by her.

Yin smiled and pointed. There were no flashing lights, but the guess seemed to intrigue Stubbles. He moved, coming back with a small pastry on a napkin. Yin simply shook his head and pushed it back toward him. "No thank you, you could probably use it more than I could."

Madeline found herself here by sheer idiocy alone, having temporarily lost not-Wilson again. Peering at the ownerless booth, Madeline inched further in, not minding the squeaking that seemed to emulate from nowhere. If anyone thought she was scared of bats anymore, they clearly hadn't ever stepped foot in her attic.
Anyways, where the hell was the booth-owner?
"I bet somewhere ridiculous," Madeline said with a giggle, "like Singapore - Ow!"
Something silver whacked her in the back of the head.
Oh. Okay. Not Singapore.

Before her stood a shallow water-filled barrel, and as she peered in, she saw several wet bundles of fluff. Wet MOVING bundles of fluff.
"OHMYJACK, Are those pets? WE HAVE TO GET THEM OUT! THEY'LL DRO-"
A smack to the head and screech stopped her, and when Mayaa turned to see who had assaulted her, the large bat only stared sternly at her, pointing a wing at her own mouth, and pointed back at the bundles of fluff.
"I have to... pick them up... with my TEETH?"
A nod.
Mayaa sighed. These bats were really weird.
Though no matter how she tried, she just couldn't do it.
"Come on! If we don't get them out, they'll"
Another smack.
Sigh.ToT Old Batty Could I get a Batty Tart Treat, ToT Megabomb, Calaptera and Old Memorable Bell? :>
