This golem wasn't...so bad. On the bright side Candace was at least used to having ears like this by now, though the extra three tails were a new sensation. It was strange. Despite the new body and even the new voice she still looked very nervous, eyes wide and almost fearful as she gazed all around them. She was going to be found out. If she was found out they were all ********. No, no, no please! No! She clutched the folded fans in her hands in a death grip, not even worried that she might splinter and destroy them. The last time she was here was still very fresh in her memory. No sign of Shun or Mitsu..or any of their little friends. It'd be okay. They wouldn't find her. It wasn't that she was scared of them she just...she couldn't afford to mess up again, especially so soon. They'd never let her touch a golem again if she ******** up this mission she was sure of it. Keep your cool, Candace. You can do this. Melvin's complaint forced her from her slightly panicked thoughts. "Huh? Oh...yeah. I was a kelpie for my first golem. The legs are weird, huh? You seem to be doing okay...if you fall I'll help you up. Just don't try to run." She shrugged. Finally one fan was snapped open and fluttered just under her chin, idly fanning herself as she scanned the booths. "RA six, six, six...creative." Candace rolled her eyes, hiding her disapproving frown behind her fan. Oh! But wait! Minipets! Candace perked up considerably. "Last time I had a very helpful kelpie boil who helped me get nineteen Floresce. Let's see if I can break my record on my own, hmm? ♪ GIVE ME A SPIN, TOOTS! ♫ It was weird considering that Candace had a different voice and appearance, but he had already asked her a few times since walking from the portal to here if she was indeed Candace to make sure he wasn't just giving away his identity to some Halloween Creature. Just being here in this strange world was blowing his mind, and if it wasn't all very real, he would have thought it was just an amusement part with a big budget.
Luckily the music overhead made it easy to talk close to her without anyone eavesdropping. "I have NO idea what a kel-PI or a floor-eskie is." He was so screwed. He knew NOTHING!
However, she pointed out that she could get up to 19 minipets, and he was excited to think he could get that many specimens. "Okay. The wheel looks harmless enough." And other people were walking up to spin it. Seemed they would be fine with just that.
Walking up, he looked around, and then reached up and gave it a spin, feeling a bit like a Price is Right contestant. Being short really didn't give him much in the way of spinning though.
However, it did land on a price, and Melvin then noticed the rats. Rats and bugs, and his tail stopped as he backed into Candace. One rat had jumped into a sack and then came walking up with a squirming tentacle thing before dropping it at his feet. Melvin was all types of grossed out, and slowly stepped behind Candace.

Been awhile since I looked up kelpie lore. You can find this stuff in the library. Study it, okay? It could save your life one day to know what's what~." Despite the music drowning them out she kept her voice as low as it would go, for Melvin's ears only. "A floresce is a minipet. It comes in two varieties, a stupid looking fish and a beautiful serpent-like fish. The beautiful fish is harder to come by. Three of my nineteen were that kind, it was nice. They were golden...aaaaanyway..yeah, just study. I think my floresce are all still in the labs. Most of them are gold."Suddenly she paused. She had said boil earlier..she'd said it so easily. Frowning, Candace turned to Melvin. "Has anyone taught you basic Halloween slang yet? It really makes a difference. Trust me." If all of this wasn't enough to convince Melvin she was who she claimed to be then nothing would. The little kitsune followed the ram to the wheel and stared up at it with wide eyes. Damn, this thing was huge. How were they going to spin it? She gave it a try... ...Failure. Epic failure. Damnit! This was not a good start. Sighing, she fanned herself and watched Melvin receive his prize. She seemed unfazed by the rats, even smiling warmly at them as they dropped a..strange... thing at Melvin's feet. "Thank you very much! You're so kind!" She praised them with all the joy and sweetness of a cheerful young child with a high, squeaky voice. It was time to start playing the role of her golem. It seemed to be a cheerful little kitsune from the looks of it. "I'm not at all sure what that is. It looks like um...a..I don't know...an octopus?" She shrugged. ♪ GIVE ME A SPIN, TOOTS! ♫ Melvin let the squishy thing where it was, and noticed that after the tentacles moved, a cat head came up. Well, somewhat like a cat, in that it had no fur and was slick like a squid. It was morbid that it looked like a cat, but it has many tentacles for limbs. Melvin did not know what it was.
"I have been reading up at the library. I probably rented out a good section of it." It was a lot to read, okay!
As Candace did not do well, he moved over to the wheel again, as far away from the rats and various bugs as possible, and quickly spun it before rushing back to Candace to take cover beside her. Totally manly, right?
"I don't know the slang here." He admitted, watching the wheel spin and keeping his eyes on all the rodents. "Is it always this nasty around here?" He asked, before eyeing the cat...squid that was moving to them. "Of all the minipets I had to get." He grumbled before reaching out and picking it up by it's collar at arm's length. It wrapped a few of it's tentacles around his arm, causing Melvin to let out a sad, little whine. Quote: Melvin Wood is a Small Demon. *Look at Sig*

Candace was tired of seeing or hearing of people dying, especially if it could be so easily prevented. Ah, so he didn't know the slang. Not good. Frowning, she first gave the wheel a second try and watched it while it spun. "Aria--" Had that been Aria? She paused, backtracked, and tried again. "Before coming here for the first time we were given a lesson on it. Your weapon will be of great use to you. She'll guide you, tell you what to say. For example. Boys are boils and girls are ghouls. Very basic, but very necessary. They look at you funny if you say the wrong thing...and don't ever say God. Instead, use Jack. Like...oh, Jackdamnit. Jack, you scared me." She smiled. "Skelevision, television. Skellphone, cell phone...skelephone, telephone..most of their slang is a pretty predictable pun."She had been distracted from the wheel by her quick little lesson. It could be the first of many if he wanted it to be! Because of this Candace completely missed when the wheel stopped spinning. It wasn't until something brushed her ear that she looked away from Melvin and swatted at it. What landed on the ground was a half-eaten centipede still writhing for dear life, trying to escape to freedom with its dying breath. ...Candace.. Her breathing quickened. Candace, no. Her eyes were wide, lips parted as she felt ready to cry out. CANDACE PENNINGTON! She snapped out of it, whimpering and stepping back away from the centipede with Melvin still behind her. She nearly fell on him as a result. Keep calm. Keep calm. Don't freak out. This..this is 'normal'. "S-surprisingly, most students I know are quite clean.."Quote: Candace is a hunter in a golem. What's a joke about it?

He was nearly bumped into and what Melvin saw made him gasp, and then cover his mouth, startled by just seeing a sliver of a centipede, let alone half of one. "I'm really not liking all these bugs." He whined, and racing over, he hurled the wheel once more before moving over to her, the weird octo-cat clinging to his arm. It made him just as nervous and disturbed, but with rats, centipedes, and cockroaches, he was really feeling himself at his end already.
"How about we leave here...." He looked at the rats. "...and not come back?"

She even held her fan in front of her mouth in a coy gesture, wearing her brightest smile and even blushing for good measure. "A fake name is good when you're here, too. Don't use the same name twice. Try to shy away from your actual name while using something you know you'll respond to and won't forget. Don't you even call me by my name. Call me..."Uh... Aki.The ******** does Aki mean.I don't know but it sounds Japanese....Fine."Just call me Aki~! Hehe!" She giggled and bounced on her toes as she hummed a happy little song and practically danced to the wheel again. Enough talk. She'd show him how it was done. The last thing Candace wanted was for someone to overhear them. She was so grateful for the loud noise around them to drown out her voice while she'd been close to Melvin's ear. Giving the wheel one last spin with all the strength her tiny body could muster, Candace watched it spin and spin and spin. Finally..it just barely landed on the space for...what? OH GOD! ♪ GIVE ME A SPIN, TOOTS! ♫ Having left the "Arrow" booth, she found herself at a booth with a giant wheel... And lots of pests. She eyed the rats and roaches around warily; they were leaving her alone for the most part, so she hoped for it to stay that way; she wasn't scared as much as she was disgusted.
Approaching the wheel, she grinned when she found out that it was free to play, and without a second thought, gave it a spin. The only prize she won, however, was an intrusive rat going up her pants.
She spent the next minute getting it out before tossing it in a random direction.

But a rat just dropped a half - eaten centipede in her hair. " Eww! ", she yelled, as she grabs shakes her head. The centipede fell off from her hair to the ground. Well, it certainly didn't hurt, but it's gross to Ingrid.
