Her feet clacked against the hard pavement as she made her way over to a young man with a hoodie and young man without even a shirt. They were strange, most definitely not belonging here. “Ahem!” Serah cleared her throat and faced the two statues before turning to the young men near them as well. “You both must be trainers. I’ve been able to tell by identifying your clothing. They’re not exactly the cleanest of things.” Serah walked severa feet closer and adjusted her glasses as she did so. “I want to keep this short. I am here to liberate the Pokémon in your possession. You can call me Serah Nara, though formalities I’m sure won’t be anything of an issue to the both of you, considering I am now your enemy.”
Without another moment of thought, Serah launched a Pokeball into the air, causing her Elygem to jump forth from its confines, ready to fight. “Elygem, they’re enemies, we must rescue the Pokémon they’re holding hostage to their wills.” Serah exhaled a breath at the same moment that she adjusted her glasses once more. “Surrender your Pokémon now or prepare to have your brains fried by my ally in liberation!”

Chad shrugged at Kadaj and stood up just as a young woman was making her way down the pavement. What a strange person to be showing up at a time like this, barely past noon. Also, why was she in such a hurry to talk to them. Chad kept his thoughts to himself as he listened to the woman with slight irritation on his face. There was no way he was going to let anyone take his Pokémon. “You’re not taking anything from me. I’ll prove just how much my Pokémon and I are a team!” Chad pulled a Pokeball from his pocket and as he did so, Nincada burst forth from the confines, ready to engage in some serious combat. “Kadaj, stand back!” Chad turned back to the woman, “How does a two on two sound?”
If this woman wouldn’t compromise, then Chad would have no choice but to ask Kadaj for aid, which he really didn’t want to do because he wanted to be able to protect him from this oddly dressed girl.

Serah adjusted her frames, analyzing the Nincada from all angles before making a decision to attack it. She knew that it was a bug type, meaning that Elygem wouldn’t have an advantage, but then again, NIncada wasn’t exactly the most adept at using bug-based skills. “Alright then, if it’s a fight you want, prepare to taste defeat.” Serah pointed to the Nincada and didn’t waste a moment before dishing out a command to her Elygem. “Use Psybeam Elygem! We have to free that poor Nincada and the only way to do that is by defeating it!” Elygem nodded and launched a violet ray from its forehead that made like a bee-line towards the Nincada.

As she waited for results, Serah turned to another girl running up towards them that had a Snivy. “Oh great, more of you guys that have Pokémon. This is a warning, free your Pokémon now or suffer my wrath!” Serah was beginning to fog her glasses as she breathed heavily on them. She didn’t like having to deal with all these people, but sometimes it was just about the Pokémon and not the person controlling them. She had to free them, no matter what the price.

Chad was very much more concerned about the safety of Kadaj than himself, but right now he didn’t have time to think about how foolish that was. She turned to the Pokémon named Viper, or at least that’s what Chad thought it was called since it seemed to be responding to the name. “Alright, it looks like she’s using two Pokémon. I guess it’s a double battle.” Chad watched as both of the enemies Pokémon seemed to be focusing solely on the Snivy, meaning that Chad would have plenty of time to pull out a surprise attack on one of the Pokémon.
“Do it now Nincada!” Nincada burst forth from the ground directly below the Elygem. “Quick, finish up your dig technique!” Nincada nodded and lunged forth from the ground, hoping to land a hit on the Elygem.

Serah tried to stop the dig from happening by reasoning with the Nincada, but it was no use. Nincada still emerged from the ground and struck Elygem. “No! Look how corrupt your Pokémon is, willing to strike other Pokémon without a second thought! Barbarians, the both of you!” Serah turned to Porygon and pointed to the Nincada on the ground, “Use your psychic!” If the technique worked, then Porygon would pick up the Nincada and then slam it into the ground using a powerful psychic power.

Serah redirected her attention back to Elgyem after that and gasped as the Psybeam came back and struck her Elygem leaving it rather weakened. “We can’t have that, use recover!” Elygem nodded and its eyes began to glow a bright blue and all the scratches on it seemed to vanish in an instant. “Ha! Now use Calm Mind and work on your special defense!” Serah knew that Mirror move would be a problem, so the thing she needed to do was focus on special defense so that Elgyem’s Psybeam wouldn’t hurt so much hitting him, but hurt more hitting something else.
