5 = Fail

Apparently, molding chakra was not an efficient method of anger management because as soon as she tried, it burst free of her hold, flying away. Her face gave nothing away except for the slightly resigned face, but her eyes glowered and Sakurayuki inwardly fumed.

'Inner peace, inner peace, inner peace.' she chanted to herself to calm her nerves. 'Being angry at a situation never did anyone any good,' she told herself, although she dearly wished that her bad luck would be lifted. 'Inner peace, inner peace, inner pea... Oh Kami.' At this rate, she would start following the footsteps of the Legendary Sucker, Tsunade-hime, and that would not do at all. Interestingly though, that thought put away her anger and managed to calm her down a little, even putting on a slight upturn of the corners of her lips. But that didn't prevent her from thinking back to her mother's book of '101 Ways To Rupture A Heart', a medical textbook that showed all the gory details as to the weak points of a human body. The use of senbons at particular points in the neck could cause a full grown shinobi to fall into a comatose state, inducing a near-death trance that would be undetectable to most shinobi who were not full trained medic-nin. 'Hmm...' she thought, eyeing her sensei's neck. But alas, she couldn't end up murdering (ok, incapacitating) her sensei on the first day of the Academy. That just wouldn't do.

Now that the situation had calmed down a little, she glanced at the still-unstable looking sensei before tearing her eyes away from his neck (just below his jugular, the book had said...) and focusing on her assignment yet again.

18 = Pass!

Inwardly imagining happy(??) thoughts, she gathered the chakra around her to mold the energy flowing around her. It worked wonderfully, as the two energy sources flowed and meshed together to cooperate with her current mindset. The chakra spun around her wildly, and she spurred it even faster, moving and molding it through the chakra lines. A faint glow emanated from Yuki, a definite pink tinge, although she herself didn't know it was showing up. When she was content with the flow though, she slowly brought it to a stop again, feeling exhilarated. She would have to thank her sensei later for helping... or maybe not.

Feeling a litle lightheaded, she sat down, but decided to try once more before fully resting.

'My last try,' she thought as she firmly held the hand sign in place. Spinning the chakra, she decided to try the same thing as last time... and failed spectacularly. She wondered if the chakra reacted to her feelings and anger, but she knew that was irrational. It was just the focus that she was lacking, much like the other students in class. Or so she hoped anyway, as she finally put her hands to her side and leaned back in her seat. Wondering when this would end, Sakura dearly hoped she would have some success next time, by Kami. This was getting frustrating to the extreme.

~Resting post~

Thinking she might as well make use of the time and clean the place up, she scooped the bloody tissues and cleaned the desks a little. Gathering the trash, she neatly dumped them into a trash can and turned around back to her seat. Taking out the class syllabus, she scanned the contents, now with a newer and slightly skeptic perspective. How in the world were they going to finish all of these? This would take forever to do, and it looked a little daunting to her. But she had time until she graduated, and she'd cross each of them off, one by one. Nodding to herself, she tucked it back in and relaxed, waiting for the slight lightness to fade away.

Resting Post

Amaya had been squirming to get comfortable in her chair when all the sudden Ko-sensei snapped. When he raised his voice her entire body tensed, her shoulders pulling up and back towards one another, as she eyed him with almost suspicious eyes. It was odd for such a calm man to suddenly panic like he just had. Brushing it off as a teacher attempting to enforce his dominance and authority to the class, the girl tried to get herself to relax. Slowly but surely, her shoulders lowered and the tension subsided; but her mind was still whirling. Here she had been assuming this would be an amiable relationship between student and teacher, but it seemed that she was quite wrong. With his conflicting personality and disciplinary style he would never be able to gain the respect of the students. That was just the way things worked.

As she was going through her thoughts, Amaya notice that Ko-sensei’s little outburst had disturbed Sakura’s training and now she seemed to be struggling again. At least Amaya wasn’t the only one having difficulties with the lesson. Then again, Ko-sensei also hadn’t interrupted her in the midst of an attempt like her had Sakura. Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to reprimand students privately? Oh well, these were just more reasons why Amaya would never, never become a teacher. While she admired what they did, she even applauded their work, if her patience was pushed past its point she didn’t want to be in a classroom filled with students.

5 + 0 = 5 Failure

With how anxious Amaya was to complete her assignment, she didn’t take long to recover. She only recovered enough energy for one more try in enthusiastic hopes that it would be her last attempt. However, lo and behold it was just too soon. Sure enough, she wasn’t able to force the two energies together and had to mark down another fail in her book. To top it off, the child was now out of energy again and she couldn’t string the attempt together. That was poorly planned, but she would just have to live with it. This forced her into yet another bout of restfulness. This time she would wait a little bit longer so that she could try a couple of times without having to stop. She probably wouldn’t wait as long as she had been in her previous attempts, but the “wait long enough for one try” wasn’t working for her.

Resting Post

With yet another failure under her belt, Amaya was learning how to handle a mistake as a positive and as a learning experience. After all, nothing would benefit from getting angry and missing the lesson that a failure can teach you. All of her built up excitement had undermined her and that was something that she now knew she had to keep in check. Plus, she was probably still slightly distracted from Ko-senei’s outburst. So, now she would start taking things slower. Her shoulders had finally lowered to their usually well-postured position as opposed to the knotted, tense uplift that they were being held in. The child folded her legs up onto her chair and into her body as she relaxed. She had always done odd things with her legs when she was little. Her parents had hoped that she would grow out of the habit, but it was still holding strong and now she was too old for them to do anything about it. They weren’t happy about it, but they also looked at all the other things that she could have been and decided that something so small and insignificant would be permissible. Gripping the side of her chair, Amaya twisted until there were several quite pops sounding from her spine. Then she repeated the motion in the other direction with less success.

Fudou's lip curled in triumph as Shiro rolled off him. Seemed that this guy was highly suggestible. Based on what had transpired in the fight so far Fudou concluded that the guy was just at a higher level as compared to him. He decided that the best option would be to try and pin him down like he'd tried earlier. After waiting for just the right moment Fudou pounced, trying to use his body weight to bring Shiro down.

Resting Post

Though she didn’t plan on resting for very long, Amaya knew that she needed more energy than she had acquired so far in order to make more than one attempt. She wasn’t going to recover a lot of energy for her attempts, but she also wanted to be able to fail and succeed if need be. So, she would continue sitting and resting. With her hands sort of grabbing her feet, that was more or less her default position when the child had her legs were tucked in, Amaya stared out the window. This was something that her father had always caught her doing in the shop. Sure, she loved her work and she wanted to be at the academy and learn, but nothing compared to being outside in the sun; a gentle breeze blowing on your arms, the gentle splashing of a creek in the distance and cool, soft grass brushing up past the edge of your sandals to tickle your toes. She just loved to take in her surroundings because there was so much beauty in the outside world. However, she was there, in the classroom for now. This was what she wanted and her joyous basking in the sun would just have to wait for the sake of her lessons.

13 + 0 = 13 Assignment Complete

Once the child had enough energy for at least two attempt she decided it was time to give the assignment another shot. She had recovered enough energy for probably two attempts and, even if she messed up the first one, she would be able to move onto a second attempt without having to sit and rest like she had to the last time. Go figure, when you save up enough energy for just one because you only need one more you fail the attempt. That was the way the world worked, apparently. However, Amaya wasn’t one to be deterred by a little bit of difficulty. Unfolding her legs, the child planted her feet on the ground; quietly in order to help pacify her spastic instructor. With a little more shifting, Amaya was sitting straight up again and she was ready for yet another attempt at the chakra molding.

Taking a few slow breaths to pull her mind back for the tempting outdoors, the small child closed her eyes while making the tiger seal again. It was quickly becoming one of her favorites. Finally, she took in her final focus breath and began the internal search for her chakra. She followed the ebb and flow as it traced small, intricate lines through her body. Gently at first, she pulled and manipulated the energy, forcing it to combine with the physical energy that she had stored in her being. Sure enough, the two started molding together. There were only gentle sparks of color visible around her when she was doing this, but she also wasn’t expecting her aura to come completely into view for some time. The child held the two energies together for as long as she could before releasing it.

Amaya let her breath out slowly as she tried to contain her excitement. She had just completed her second assignment in the academy and she couldn’t be happier. The girl was glad that she now had a more accurate understanding of chakra and how it worked. Allowing herself to relax slightly, the Keiji pulled out her syllabus scroll to see what other assignments there were that she could start on.

He sighed heavily as he sat back down, "Agh.. That side of me came out again.. Well.. That's good, atleast they now start to form a picture of what it will be like when they start coming up in ranks." he slanted back into his chair as he started to drift back to his genin days. "Yeah.. Things were tough" he looked up at the students and saw that some of them were alittle shaken up, he felt bad. "Hey," he said, looking down at his desk in an apologetic tone "the things that I want to enforce in this classroom may sound strict at first.." he took a pause and looked up at the students "but they are all meant for your own good! Later in life, you'll hopefully thank me.." his mouth widen into a smile, before he started to look through his papers again. Going through the week's schedule.

Still a quite a bit tired from the exercise, Amaya looked over the various extra credit assignments there were. Her goal was to complete all of them before graduating from the academy. It sounded easy enough, unless they were all like the one that she had just completed. Her eyes jumped from description to description. She automatically skipped one if it mentioned dealing with chakra. She just didn’t have the energy to even try. There were so many and she just wasn’t sure what would be the most beneficial for her at this point. It was then that Ko-sensei had spoke up. She smiled gently at him, understanding. All of them would have to find their comprehension of one another. Once he turned his attention back to his papers, the girl slid her scroll closed and tucked it back in its place. Standing almost hesitantly, Amaya fought with her shyness. She could approach her sensei, it would be alright. Letting out a nervous breath, she quietly approached the desk where the man had place himself since the end of the handseal explanation.

“Ko-sensei,” the small girl spoke quietly, softly, as she fought with her want to just go back to her desk and pretend that she had never had this terrible, terrible idea of going up and talking to another human being. “I have completed the molding assignment and I was wondering if I should start another one. Do you have any suggestions for me?” Her voice was slightly high pitched, but it was soft and kind. It was obvious that was her normal talking volume and it wasn’t because she was trying to keep things below a “conversation level”. Alright, she had gotten through yet another challenge that day, she just hoped that she would get yet another lecture about how her shyness would hold her back like many adults felt the need to do. Amaya knew she was shy but she was also happy just working through it slowly on her own.

Taking Shiro's lead Fudou attempted to tackle Shiro to the ground, he felt the boy's body slam into him and knock him to ground. However Akio didn't grasp phase two of his attack and failed to get a solid grasp on him. Shiro rolled out from underneath Akio and then moved in to make his own counter attack. Shiro quickly swung his leg in a scissoring motion to kick Akio while they were both still on the ground. Shiro wasn't sure how long this fight was going to last but he figured that if he got few good hits in he was going to claim victory. I am not going to let this punk beat me. he thought with determination to himself.
