Rep sauntered into what he termed as the holding pen with his usual lazy swagger. He'd heard there was something going down over here and despite not being life or death who were probably more suited for this specific sort of work, he couldn't pass up on the idea of some gratuitous torture.
When he saw people sitting around talking amicably to the monsters and in some cases taking them out for walks, his face fell.
"The hell?"

Sometime after Gale had arrived, Mei had made her way over towards the glass window between her and Gale, so they wouldn't have to speak from the other side of the room. She had no idea what to say to him right now, other than the fact then wanting to know if he helped out in this? He had every reason to, since he was with them, but still. She was angry.
Another figure arrived beside Gale, even resting his arm on the blond hunter as he spoke into the mic. Her brow furrowed again at the nickname, as well as his choice of words. Was he trying to piss her off? Wasn't the idea to get them to actually have them want to join them? If so, he was failing miserably.
"What do you think, a**?"
Something about this hunter seemed oddly familiar, but no matter the effort, she couldn't place him.Quote: Trust: 10% Calm: 5% Obedience: 2% Approachability: 10% Appearance: Looks like this

((Entering~)) Madison was definitely curious to see these new candidates, even if she was sure they hadn't been prepared adequately - at least by her standards. But she'd made good inroads with Israfel, she figured, and she wasn't entirely surprised to see him... though she wished she'd known more of the specific circumstances of his capture, to know what tack to take. Everything had been so chaotic that she hadn't spotted him before the trap went off. Still... "Israfel!" she called out, walking briskly over to his containment unit with a look of concern on her face. "Are you all right?"

"Could be worst, you could be stuck with the horsemen, tied up to a chair and watching your friends get tortured, ripping of the flesh...whatever. I think you got it easy in here." He yawned before looking over her.
"But that's not what we be talking about Babe." He cheerfully grinned at her, "hey Rep!" Dakota gestured over to the sun hunter and nodded to Mei. "We got ourselves an actual scrapper here."
"So...Mei? That's your name right. I'm not about feelings but...How you doing? Need something besides kicking our asses?" Dakota looks like this MOFO

Well. She had him there. It wasn't exactly a good evening, at least not for her. And Gale wasn't quite sure it was good for him, either. He'd managed to capture two of the Halloween creatures, Mei included, but there had been a tiny, tiny part of him that had hoped she had managed to escape, if only so he wouldn't be faced with dealing with her now.
Apparently not. At least she wouldn't know it was him that had netted her.
He opened his mouth to say something - what exactly, he wasn't even sure - but at that moment, an arm dropped down on his shoulder, heavy and space invading. Gale snapped his mouth shut, tilting his head up to catch a glimpse of the smirking, lounging face of none other than Dakota Rainstar.
Oh, great.
A sigh escaped Gale's lips, brows drawing together, and he lifted his hand, idly pinching Dakota's sleeve between his thumb and forefinger. "Kindly don't call names," he said, and something in his voice indicated he wasn't just talking to Mei as he dragged the trainee's arm off of him. "It does nothing to be productive. And I'm not an armrest."
Rolling his eyes a little, he turned back to Mei, who was looking mutinous. And again, Gale opened his mouth to say something, but once more Dakota intervened, and Gale pressed his lips together, slightly irritated.
"Dakota. Shut up."
He glanced back at Mei. "How are you feeling?"

Rep raised a brow at Dakota before wandering over lazily to stand curiously to one side.
"Her name is Mei? You sure she's not just taking the piss? Like I dunno, if I was like "I'm me"?"
He narrowed his eyes suspiciously at her. "I never trust bitches. Especially monster ones. What is she?"

[Entering again] The walk with Petra had been...something. It gave her a lot to think about without giving her the benefit of answers, which was what she had been hoping for. Still, it made her feel slightly better in the end, just enough to not make her panicked trembling return as she was ushered back into the cell.
She sat down against the wall, pulling her knees up against her chest and tucking her feet under her. She was in for the long haul it seemed, so she might as well make herself comfortable. However, as she sat there she stared at the monitor, studying the Hunters on the other end.
The red head looked...very familiar. Wasn't he one of the ones Sammy was butting heads with all the time? ...And that voice was so familiar...he kind of sounded like the 'Ugly Backpack' Calder had on. It was hard to tell though, since he wasn't screaming obscenities right now.

Clenching her fists, Mei folded her arms and stared at the hunter. "No. Instead, I get to see that happen here. Treating us like specimen to be examined. Tools to be used to further your goals. I've had plenty of friends hurt by your kind. I don't know what the horsemen did to you, but it has nothing to do with us. The only reason we're helping them, is because you and your white coat friends attacked us and blew up their home. Or did you forget all that?"
Rolling her eye at hunter, she sneered as the other approached. "Oh for the love of.." Surely her stress level was about to shoot through the roof. "What does that even mean in your language? And my name is Mei (pronounced May), not Me! And that's fine with me, I don't trust dicks. Especially human ones." She paused, raising a brow. "You think you'd recognize what I am just by looking at me. I'm a living doll."
Looking back to Dakota, she flipped the bird at him. "Yeah. But what I want, you asses won't give me."
Thank Jack Gale was still around, otherwise she would have probably done everything she could to break the glass and strangle the black haired hunter. "Yeah, Dakota! Shut up!" She could have sworn she knew this guy! Where had she seen him from?
Calming a little, Mei loosed a sigh. "Frustrated and pissed.." she paused. "..scared."Quote: Trust: 5% (Gale has automatic +20%) Calm: 1% Obedience: 1% Approachability: 7% Appearance: Looks like this

"I suppose it is," he replied uncomfortably. He wanted to defend himself, to say that wasn't really him, he didn't even have a proper weapon - but he didn't. It would have been childish, but it was also a lie. He could have said no. He was certainly having second thoughts about who they'd been fighting - why involve children? Why not go after the real monsters, the ones who went bump in the night? After all, they had to have adults of some kind, didn't they? "I never really had to think about it much before." There are some things that just weren't done, even in the name of war. Lines that shouldn't be crossed. Wash felt they were crossing them now, and he feared, a cold shiver deep in his gut, that they'd been crossing them this whole time. That he'd been too wrapped up in his own personal problems to see it. As she named off her friends, making them a little more real to the hunter, Wash's frown deepened. She held herself like she was going to break, and he didn't know what to do. He knew that feeling. "You never know," he chimed in, trying to give the girl some comfort even while his ears burned with the reprimand he expected for saying something as blasphemous as... "Maybe those horsemen of yours will ride in and save the day. I gotta say, they've handed our butts to us more than once before.""I'm really sorry you got caught up in all this, Miss Amphi. You seem like good people."His eyes widened, and a faint ghost of the smile he'd had before returned. Admirable? He didn't think so, but again, it was kind of her to say. "Oh, I think you're plenty brave. You've handled this...incarceration with more dignity than I think most 'o us would," he said very seriously. I mean, she expected them to hurt her, and yet here she was, having a civil conversation. Maybe they were both crazy, but at that moment, he didn't particularly care. He laid his hand on the glass opposite of hers, and his expression sobered. "I'll do my best. I really don't think they wanna hurt you, honest. I'm sorry they- we - kidnapped you." That last bit was true. Wash couldn't save her- they'd probably had all sorts of precautions in place to prevent their escape. But he could do his utmost to make sure she and her friends were comfortable. He owed them that. And maybe, just maybe, the subjects who weren't compatible would get to go home. He secretly wished she'd be one of those. Wash let his hand fall back to his side as she changed the subject. A mermaid? He did his best to hide his surprise - after all, his only exposure to that particular creature had been through Disney films. This girl seemed a lot more Ariel than she did Ursula. "Oh, I come from a place that's, well. It's right near the sea - it's a port town, yennow, boats and all that. We have a big river that runs through our town, and sometimes when it storms it overflows." But she hadn't wanted to hear about flooding, so he left it at that. "It's a sort of regal beauty, out there. The swamps and the wildlife and what not- I guess they're kinda like your minipets - are right up next to the big cities, so we get to see some pretty crazy stuff." He tried to think of something interesting. "We once had a possum - uh, it's a kind of, well, it's smallish and doesn't have a lot of hair, sorta looks like a rat - got into our garage one time, it took forever to get it out.""And -ah." His voice fell a little, and he made a hurried admission. "I was there, but only for like a minute. I got knocked out as soon as I came in, so I didn't see what was going on. We kinda just get told 'jump', and have to say, 'how high'?" It wasn't a very good reason, but it was all he had. "You know, we have a beach here. It's very nice although it's a little, um, foggy out," he said conversationally. "I mean, I dunno if you're like...If you're from a lake or the ocean. Do they have freshwater mermaids?"

Dakota only grinned as he stood up, getting of the death hunter.
"Can't, I like talking. I never stop talking." He ran a hand through his noire hair and gave a flirtatious wink at Mei. "It's in the past I guess." Dakota laughed at Rep, patting the hunter on the back.
Man this is why he liked Rep. "Well Mei....I'm not really formal with halloween creatures. I know that babe over there is a mermaid, Hit on her. In fact she is looking a lot more appealing by the minute but...Then that would leave you with stifley old Gale here." Dakota stretched.
"Want me to come in there and give you a hug for being scared Mei?" He waggled his eyebrows.Dakota looks like this MOFO

Rep grinned toothily at the fiesty woman, not really getting the idea that they were kind of meant to get them on their side rather than wind them up like crazy. "Sorry, I'm not ******** up to date on the variety of freaks that come out of your ******** world. But. A living doll? Isn't that like. All women?" He snickered nastily.
"Well. I had a mate we used to call FannyBaws, he had a doll. Wasn't a living one, was like, the blow up kind. It was his main girlfriend right? Kept him warm on lonely nights. You don't look like that kind of doll. I mean for one thing you have less ******** lipstick on." He looked her over with a disgusted curl of his lip.
Dakota got an actual smirk as he thumbed in his direction, for once ignoring someone touching him without permission. He could live with a back pat from a guy - it wasn't Candace. "Though I'm no expert. I'm sure handshake could probably find that out more definitively than I could, right?"

[ENTER]"You know, if you boys ask politely, then she might answer if you ask." She mumbled at both Rep and Dakota, just arriving on the scene just before Mei said what she was. Seeing the trio of them surrounding the female halloween town girl, maybe it was just as well that Ceres added another set of boobs to the equasion. Gale recieved a smile from the trainee hunter, Dakota a smaller smile but a nod as well, and Rep... Rep just got an eyebrow quirk from her. Bitches? Did he seriously just call all woman bitches? She had not even met him before (besides kittytime but she didn't know mr red flufflebutt was him) and she was not fond of him already. Way to go Rep. "Dakota, i know you like to flirt with anything that has a set of tits, but lay off for a few ok? Cant you see all you are doing is frustrating her?" She crossed her arms and gave the man a look. Rep on the other hand, got another stare from her a second later. Really? Really? ".....You know, i don't even know you, but i think i feel a little insulted by your commentary as well, even if not directed at me." Or was it directed at any woman in general? They were SUPPOSED to be gaining their trust, not making them even more wary of people. Rep on the other hand just seemed amazing at pissing people off. "Way to be an a*****e, moron" murmured Deryk as he returned into the lab. Yeah, he heard Rep talking, and it was aggravating. However, his voice was kept low somewhat instinctively. It was like trying to pass a quiet insult to a bully when passing them up. In any case, it looked like Amrita was back. He had received Petra's text not too long ago after all.

The moon hunter twitched from the back of the room. "One, Dakota, No. Two, Rep please remember what we're trying to do. Offensive comments to a minimum. No arguing." Marcus was more tired than anything, looking at Ceres. "Ceres, it might be good if you took the ladies out for a while. Last thing they need is to be harassed. I'd offer to take one of them out but-" He gaze shifted to Amphi. "I'm afraid I owe one of them an apology and I have doubts that she would be open to it." His pencil scratched out notes on paper. Half the notes being about what he needed to do out in the towns.

it was beginning to get hard not to feel completely at ease with Wash. He was so sincere and like a child, she was picking up on that. Like a child, she was clinging to him like she would a parent, relying on him in this moment.
"Ah...Is this making you think of it too much? Will this put you in a predictment Wash that won't end favorably?" The mermaid sighed, "You have been so kind to me, I just don't want them to do anything to you because of it."
"I sincerely hope not at this moment. The horsemen..." She thought of Eris and sighed, "They are a odd bunch of halloween creatures." She left it at that, well actually, "If they come, you guys will get hurt and then this war will continue on." Peace? Since when had the mermaid ever thought of peace?
"It's okay Wash." She smiled again, "Like we talked about before, I'd rather it me then any of my friends. OR me as compared to any other creature." She rubbed her eyes in confusion...She wanted to go home after all. To be held again by Roch and see her friends.
"I'm actually really scared. Terrified, I want to go home." She bit back the edge of panic that almost rised before calming down. "We saw a bunch of students once...taken by hunters. They never really came back. They were just gone." It's what was happening to her now too.
Her hand had dropped from the glass awhile ago, leaving them separated by the glass again.
She closed her eyes and tried to imagine his home, where he could never go back too.
"By the sea..." She smiled, no. She had chosen this hunter well, the familirity with him was almost overwhelming now. "The sea is a beautiful thing to live by, always changing. Boats? I have heard of those, we use to swim through sunken ships of the past." She laughed, "I've never seen a port though." She almost seemed excited, "Your town is surrounded by water! Oh jack it would be a splendid place to live!"
She could only imagine just how amazing it was.
"A possum, I think we have those...for minipets. They are kind of ugly..." She ducked her head shyly, "I don't really like scary ugly things like that. Beady eyes and just..." She shuddered.
"Oh! A beach here!??! Well I suppose since your an Island and all!" She clapped her hands and then pointed, "I'm a sea mermaid, but I can swim in any sources. At my school, My dorm has seawater but there is a lake and then small pools of fresh water." She cocked her head to think about it.
"I don't think so really. I mean...I've only just started going to school. For awhile, I was kept to the seas alone. I just barely started mastering landwalker etiquette. I think we call freshwater mermaids....Sirens?" She blinked..."Oh but Israfel is a siren so maybe not...." She looked at the Siren over in the room.
