Aki smiled brightly at the girl who came in, probably a genin like herself. The female Kitsune gestured with her head towards the door, the opened it an walked in. With a slight bow, Akitana greeted Kaori, smiling at the woman in front of her. "Hello Lady Kazekage, I'm Akitana Yaju. I'm here for my headband so I can begin my training." The female's ear twitched and she instinctively reached up and itched behind it, closing one eye.

Tyrika would step in behind the other genin and listen politely as she spoke. When everything was said and done she nodded a few times as if to say that is what she was there for as well.

Kaori hummed as she looked the genin over. She smiled to herself as she watered the diamond lotus filled with curiosity and a lack of verbal restraint, she wondered how it would affect these genin, then looked at the girls in front of her, "Welcome, I have a headband for you both, step forward." She told them as Nova stood, padded over to the desk; opened the drawer, pulled out two headbands, and then padded to the girls and rumbled as she sat in front of them, headbands in her mouth delicately so as not to mess them up with her fangs or saliva. Kaori chuckled.

Tyrika smiled at the large cat. She wasnt intimidated, and simply stood there waiting for the large cat to come up to her. She took the headband from it and gave it a slight bow of respect. "Thank you. Forgive me for asking but I hear we are to be sorted into teams for specific purposes? I dont want to overstep but I wish to acclimate to this lifestyle as soon as possible to maintain my...normality" she said, very calm and relaxed.
Akitana watched as the tiger padded over to her, and she took the headband presented to her, giving him a nod. She was about to speak, but it seemed the other gennin had managed to talk before she could get a sound out. She blinked, tilting her head at the female. Did she have something preventing her from having a normal life? What would that be...? She brushed the thoughts off, then turned back to the older lady. "May I be excused Lady Kazekage?"

Though I do suggest perhaps taking a look at the missions board after training, you can get some good experience from some of those."The tiger-eared Kazekage then turned to the other girl and smiled, "I'm afraid I haven't drawn up the teams as of yet, because not all of my shinobi have reported in quite yet, but if you like, you can train, or even spar." Kaori suggested. She wished her shinobi would hurry up and report to her so that she could properly put together a roster of teams to best suit the growth of her ninja.

"Thank you for the information miss. Would it be possible to arrange for a seasoned sparring partner? I wish to hone my skills and that cannot be done with people that dont have as much or more experience as you do. I myself dont have much but I'm hoping on capitalizing on others experience if I may." She explained calmly. She put both hands behind her back and stood there with her hands clasped on the opposites forearm.

Kaori chuckled, she liked when her genin were eager to learn, "The most seasoned of my shinobi has his hands full currently, but I'm free, if you would like to spar." Kaori said with a smile, "However, if you need to learn some jutsu first, I could always teach you some raiton, and Nova could teach you Suiton." Kaori flicked her tiger ear and smiled, she made it a point to always read the profiles of her shinobi so that she knew what their elemental affinities were, to best put her genin with the best teachers.

Chuunin II Chakra: 340/340 II Sunagakure II Main Theme
Kris was on her way back home from a mission. As always the first thing she did was report right to the Kazekage's tower. She would groan as she started up the stairs, she hated this part. The Kazekage really needed an elevator or something. Kris's Greatsword shifted on her back as she took each step, swinging with her tail as her dagger was kept close to her side. She finally got the the Kazekage's room, and without even bothering to knock she threw the door open and announced she was back. "Kazekage-sama~ Im baaack!" Kris took a minute to look around and saw another small girl with the Kazekage, and she took a minute to gather that Kaori was in the middle of a meeting with someone. "Mission Complete! As usual, so whos this cutey here and what did I miss?" She was being as nosey as usual, wanting to know what she missed in the time she left the village for the mission.

"That would be adequate. According to the early academy testing my elements are suiton and raiton so that is a perfect match." She turned her head to the newcomer when she entered the room. Regarding her for a moment she found that she was the talkative flirtations kind. It didnt really bother her, she took the compliment in stride, though her face remained passive as the music drifted from her headphones while she was in company of them. "You...have a tail" She said, turning to her to face her more dirrectly. She observed for a moment and then continued. "But no companion entered the room with you. Family thing?" She inquired.

Kaori looked up at Kris and raised an eyebrow, she got more and more flamboyant the more skill she gained, "Welcome home Kris, thank you for another job well done. This is Tyrika, a genin now. Learn her face and name, you may well be put on a team with her in the future if I can find a suitable third."Nova flopped onto the ground between Kris and Tyrika."I'm thinking just let me train the cub in suiton, then you can train her in raiton. Then maybe a nice spar could be in the cards." "How about we let Tyrika determine if she wants to do so." Nova rolled his eyes, but nodded her large furry head as Kaori's own tail lazily flicked back and forth in perfect rhythm to Nova's own tail.

Kris heard the Genins name, Tyrika. It was a really cute name, kinda reminded her of a few things. She brought up that Kris had a tail, but no companion. "I work alone. Why the hell would I need a companion? As for my tail, I dunno. I remember my Mom had one, I cant remember if my Dad did." Kris hadnt really been paying attention to the whole "I might stick you in a squad with her" thing, mostly cause all she really heard was the Kazekage's praises and it just made her feel warm and fuzzy inside. But, at the same time she was eager and wanted to start her next mission. "Kazekage-sama, when does my next mission start? I cant become a great Shinobi if I dont go on more missions." She was always like this, a work-a-holic. Shed get back from one mission only to immediately go out on another.

"My apologies, I did not mean to misconstrue to you that you require a companion to be effective; I was merely commenting that most people that have more animalistic features, such as tails, generally have undergone training with animal partners for the majority of their lives. The Kazekage here is a prime example of this. Feline features and she works with a large cat. She wears it very nice as well." She told her very formally. She cut herself off after this and adjusted the volume on her device just slightly as a louder song had come on.

Kaori just barely restrained from rolling her feline eyes as she listened to Kris, "Is there something wrong with having a companion Kris?"She asked, not really upset, but Kris needed to learn to hold her tongue, others possibly would take offense, and a shinobi needed to know how to navigate treacherous waters."Yeah, something wrong with having a partner?"Kaori did roll her eyes then, where was her brother when she needed diplomacy? She had no true people skills, it was only her hard work that had landed her as the Kazekage. She raised an eyebrow at them both, but smiled at Tyrika when the girl complimented her, her tail and ears both flicked, as if aware they were being spoken about.
