As he continued to gather water around his hand he smiled answering his question,"Yes and no. Its good because it gives you options in combat and you can combat almost any element effectively. I'm sure you remember the lessons in the academy about which elements clash and empower what. Keep that information in mind when you go into combat. Now given that you have so many elements in the end you will suffer for it. Those with only a singular element can perform insane feats of power with it after proper training and experience because they can devote all their time and energy to that singular purpose. That is a luxury you will not have unfortunately." As he spoke he continued to hold his hand in a single spot. After a few moments it stopped growing larger. With a nod to his hand he asked,"Do you know what just happened?"

He looked down as the water continued to form until it eventually stopped growing in size, looking up at Nari as he spoke asking him if he knew why it stopped getting larger. To be honest Nagato had no clue, they didn't really go to in depth in the academy on full elements. They only had them memorize the elemental weaknesses. "Not really?" He stared confused before letting his hand go and allowing the water to drop and eventually splash along the ground. "Why wouldn't it get bigger? Do I not possess the proper control over it yet?" He asked. "Or did I do something wrong?" He was probably more worried about having done it wrong. "Also when are we going to Su...naga...kure?" He questioned his teacher.

Flicking the water off of his hand he explained,"It did not increase in size because I had already pulled all of the hydrogen from the air around it. That is a key piece of information when using suiton. If your in an arid place such as Sunagakure its going to be more difficult to manipulate your suiton. As for what beats what just remember, katon beats fuuton, fuuton beats raiton, raiton beats doton, doton beats suiton, and suiton beats katon. As for when we are going to Sunagakure, we are leaving when you feel you are capable of traveling outside of the country."

• Nagato Yuu • Kumogakure l Genin l Naga Clan l Elemental l Elemental [☬] Nodding Nagato paid close attention to what Nari spoke of when he mentioned the air around his suiton and that it would be harder to do that in suna. "Alright I'll remember." He nodded again while Nari continued to speak telling him that they wouldn't be going until he thought he himself was ready to go. "Well I guess I only know like two things....anything else you could teach me, or could we learn something along the way?" He asked, not wanting to waste his or Nari's time. In his training Nagato was going to take it seriously, and anyone that wanted to get in his way would be moved aside. "Any other suiton?" He asked since Nari said he had the water element. After all Nagato finding out that he possess four out of the five chakra elements was rather excited and was ready to learn.

A small smile spread across Nari's face as it appeared his student was learning very rapidly. This was going to be excellent in the long run. Giving his question a moment of thought he quickly formed a seal and created a large amount of water around a dummy across the room,"Memorize that seal. Once you do so create water around your target and activate the jutsu. This jutsu creates handful of tentacles around the target that will assail said target on their own. They think and act independently of you and each other." As he explained he enacted the jutsu and watched as the tentacles lashed the dummy.

• Nagato Yuu • Kumogakure l Genin l Naga Clan l Elemental l Elemental [☬] So focusing chakra over towards the dummy and making the same seal would help him with this technique that Nari was showing him. Watching as he began running through the hand seals he then turned his head watching the water form and the tentacles begin to thrash about the dummy as they violently attacked it. Looking towards the second dummy sitting beside the one Nari had attacked he began to focus his chakra. Trying to form water over towards the direction of the dummy picturing a full circle of water flowing around it. He began to run through the hand signs the first time seemed to be a dud but the second time he preformed them almost flawlessly. Water around the dummy began to form flowing up from what looked like the ground and soon a couple of tentacles matching the ones that Nari had made began to form and thrash about the dummy. Smacking it from all sides. To be honest Nagato was a little bummed he didn't get it on the first try but it was training after all. "Mhm let's go now." He turned saying to Nari. He felt ok and assumed that the travel there he could learn something after all he didn't know how long it would take to get there, so maybe there would be some time to train.

_____ ⇢ Skill Used // Skill Description Serah arrived at the Academy and in almost no time she was off to find some skills to learn so that she wouldn’t be useless when she was in combat.
Shunshin no Jutsu [Body Flicker Technique]
‘I don’t know why I wouldn’t learn this skill so I’ll do it.’ Serah unraveled a scroll describing a technique known as the ‘body flicker.’ It seemed useful, being able to vanish and reappear somewhere else almost instantly, it would definitely help her when trying to get close to someone so that she could fight them at close range since she already knew long-range fighting was out of the question.
Performing the hand signs needed for this technique wasn’t the most difficult thing in the world, which could’ve had a lot to do with why Serah was able to learn the skill so quickly. Upon successfully performing it to move around the Academy, Serah moved on to another skill.

• Nagato Yuu • Kumogakure l Genin l Naga Clan l Elemental l Elemental [☬] Having been standing there waiting while Nari seemed to be off in his own world looking over the many scrolls that he had brought with him. Nagato sighed a bit and looked towards the dummies, he wondered if there was anything that he had in his pocket that he could learn. Picking out the scrolls he too began to go off in his own little world while he read and spread them out across the floor. First thing was first before any actual training could begin he stood before the dummy in the room and began to focus his chakra, and quickly as he did Sparks began to fly off of his body. Touching and sparking against his skin Nagato gritted his fangs for a moment before hiding them and standing there until he felt the lightning running across his body as if it were a mere tickle or small p***k of the skin. It would soon almost be unnoticed that the lightning was running across his body.
[ Jutsu Learned: Teikou no Kuntou (Electricity Resistance Training) ]
Finally going back to his scroll he began to read it in depth taking his time to think about what he was going to do and how to properly preform the jutsu. Taking his stance now he ran through the hand signs as he began to focus his chakra around him. Sparks flew amongst the air and soon formed and shaped itself into various small humming birds. The loud flapping of their wings which was easily the lightning cracking gave off a loud noise. Then all of a sudden the birds shot forward rushing down into the dummies that stood together. Shocking and blasting each of them with small jolts of electricity.
[ Jutsu Learned: Hachidori no Mure no Jutsu [ Swarm of Hummingbirds Technique ]
Nagato now turned back after having finished with the hummingbird technique. Further down the scroll he began reading about materializing his chakra into ordinary looking things. Curious he began to try it starting with just one. At first it was hard as it just looked like a form of yellow chakra that had been gathered. But the more and more time he spent on it he began to grow in his skill for the most part. Turning back to the burned dummies from the raiton technique he had used earlier he began to sign away. His chakra began to manifest in the air slowly one kunai appeared falling into his hand between his fingers, and eventually at least 3 more for a total of 4 kunai rested in his hands. Two in his right and two in the left. Quickly trowing them forward he sent the kunai through the academy and into the dummies. They went through the tools like a hot knife through butter before dissipating.
[Jutsu learned: Junsei Raikou Kunai no Jutsu [ Pure Lightning Kunai Technique ]
For one of the final jutsu along the list of the scroll Nagato looked it over before making the motions with his hands. Along the final sign two large electric rings appeared along his body. The first one slowly began to start spinning in a horizontal fashion while the second ring started moving in a diagonal and vertical fashion. The rings created what looked like a gyro scope around Nagato. Slowly he tooka step forward as he moved within a small almost ball like creation of jutsu and electricity. With each step he took he got closer and closer to one of the dummies before actually touching the rings to it. A large blast of raiton was forced out from the rings and into the dummy actually shooting it from the ground and against the wall.
[Jutsu learned: Dendou Kaitengi no Jutsu (Electric Gyroscope Technique) ]
Nagato packed away the scroll he had just been reading through and proceeded to go through into another jutsu scroll. Spreading it across the ground he began to read it. First wondering how this jutsu was possible he scratched his head before nodding to himself. Standing up he held his right hand down with his left hand holding onto his wrist. Within the middle of his right hands palm a spark of flame began to form and dance within the air all around his hand. Flowing freely and focused mainly in the middle of his hand Nagato quickly rushed down the dummy that the kunai attack did not hit. His right hand was quickly thrust forward as a line of dark burnt wood was left behind him from his starting point. Pushing his hand forward the jutsu ignited the dummy in flames and punctured a hole through it as if it had melted the hole right through the dummy itself. "Wow..." He stood up slowly looking at the burning hole.
[Jutsu learned: Katon: Go (Fire Release: Five) ]
Walking back to the scroll that he had left at the center of the academy he began to pick it up and read it again. This time the jutsu on the paper was similar to one that he had learned earlier. The raiton kunai trick except this one could either be used with or without the weapons, and this time the weapons needed to be on hand first and not manifested. Taking a flat footed stance Nagato emitted chakra through the air and a couple of fireballs began to appeared, this time he would be using the technique without the assistance of weapons. Soon enough the fireballs would shoot forth like the raiton kunai had done and exploded upon impact against each of the two dummies he was attacking.
[Jutsu learned: Housenka no Jutsu (Mythical Fire Phoenix Technique) ]
Standing back again memorizing the next two techniques within the scroll Nagato began to focus his chakra along the ground in front of him forming a large ciruclar pattern to appear. It would quickly start forming into a large fire like cage, the bars igniting within the air finally coming together at the top encasing one of the dummies. Nagato smiled as his hand dropped their seals and his eyes flared with an intense yellow. Now he began to sign in a different way, while his initial chakra was still focused into maintaining the cage he felt his body expel chakra down into the ground before it began to rush up from the floor right under neath the fire prison jutsu. It would soon erupt from the bottom and cause a pillar of intense flames to rise up into the cage covering the entire thing as if roasting the dummy.

The second scroll Serah picked up was the skill to manipulate blades. ‘This might be very interesting.’ Serah pulled three shuriken from her pouch and began to perform hand seals. Thanks to her adapt nature, the blades slowly rose into the air, however, it seemed rather sluggish. It was almost as if she was having to study a bit more, ‘Looks like I might need to spend some time on this.’ Serah began to perform more hand-seals, finding herself more and more determined to keep the shuriken in the air, but not only that, keep them moving around in the air. She thought it would be amazing to have a skill like this in battle so while she was fighting close range, she could launch shuriken as well.
After dabbling with the skill and working on her launching of shuriken, Serah decided that she had done all she could do with the skill and it was time to work on something a little more tactical.
______Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [Shadow Clone Technique]
Serah read an interesting skill that allowed her to make clones of herself on this scroll. She knew it would be beneficial in combat if she could master this skill, thus, she set to work. Looking at the scroll, Serah imitated the hand seals, using chakra to correctly form the clones, but nothing was appearing. ‘I could’ve sworn I was doing this right. Maybe I’m thinking of E-Rank clones too much.’ Serah adjusted her chakra within herself so that she was using a lot more, more than she’d used for any other skill she’d ever used. It was a little fatiguing but it wasn’t anything she hadn’t endured before. After focusing as much chakra as she could into creating the clone, she began to form hand seals. They were a lot more intricate than she was used to, actually forcing her to think a little about it, which she was a bit surprised by, since she normally picked up everything she was given so quickly. However, after much practice, a clone appeared before her, causing a bit of a shock. ‘I did it!’ Serah dismissed the clone quickly and put the scroll up. She knew she was crunched for time since she actually wanted to develop her spear skills. She didn’t want to spend too much time here.
________Katon: Bounetsu no Jutsu [ Fire Release: Flame-Resistance Technique ]
There was a certain skill that Serah had her eyes on, but in order to get there, Serah had to learn a little bit about fire safety, after all, what good would it be to just dance with fire and not know how to protect herself from it? Serah performed several hand seals, creating a flickering flame that danced around her fingers. She practiced over and over until she found the right chakra tempo to prevent self-injury. With this basic stuff out of the way, Serah jumped to the skill she really wanted to learn.
____________Katon: Hi Shinten no Jutsu [ Fire Release: Flame Spread Technique ]
Serah unsheathed her spear and looked at it for a moment, allowing her chakra to pour into her weapon. It didn’t do much at first, just kind of warmed the weapon, making it hot to the touch, but after a moment of tweaking her chakra, the weapon burst into flames. Not only that though, the flame shot further than the spear was long, making the spears reach to almost nine feet! With that, Serah dismissed the flame, sheathed her weapon and walked over to the Genjutsu section, wanting to find something a bit more less complicated.
_______________Jouho no Koe [ Voice of Compromise ]
Serah looked over the vast amount of Genjutsu scrolls. She knew that Genjutsu wasn’t her forte so she wanted to keep it something a lot less complicated than needed, thus, she picked up a scroll on speaking to change people’s emotions. It seemed interesting enough, being able to calm people down through voice alone. Serah went over the scroll, speaking and allowing her chakra to flow forth with the words that she spoke. It felt funny on her wind pipe, but that was probably because she’d never done anything like it before. After much practice, Serah finished and decided to get out of the Academy.
‘I think I’ve learned everything I can here. Maybe I should get going.’ Serah eagerly picked up her shuriken, put them away, and then grabbed her spear before making like a bandit and leaving the Academy and moving on over to the dojo where she truly wanted to be.

• Nagato Yuu • Kumogakure l Genin l Naga Clan l Elemental l Elemental [☬] Nagato had been resting since he last finished his training, resting over towards the side along the wall he noticed a girl walk into the area and begin doing sort of the same thing. She had also started training, or at least that's what he assumed she was doing. But seeing as how he had spent some time resting he stood up and reached down picking up the resting scroll beside him. Reading it he though he understood the technique and wondered if it really would look like that. Dropping the scroll he signed away until his hands met and his fingers pointed upwards. From his hands chakra expelled and extended outwards forming the shape of a large green dragon, it began flowing throughout the academy room crushing two of the training dummies as it soared through the air.
[ Jutsu Learned: Fuuton: Furyuu no Jutsu (Wind Release: Wind Dragon) ]
Nagato then looked to where the second dummy he had been hitting was standing. It was time to knock it down he thought. Rushing forward he stopped about two feet in front of it and held his hands up. Chakra quickly rushed to his mouth before his lips let loose an extremely forceful amount of wind chakra from his body. Not only did this break the dummy from it's standing position but it also knocked it back all the way to the wall.
[ Jutsu Learned: Fuuton: Daitoppa (Wind Release: Great Breakthrough) ]
And finally Nagato figured he would end this with a 'quick escape' Focusing himself he turned away from where he was standing and looked back over towards the wall. Quickly his hands went back behind himself, focusing in the opposite direction that he was facing. After doing so the wind chakra pushed itself from his hands and propelled him forward at a great speed. His feet almost barely touching the ground as he moved, getting closer to the wall he tried to stop his feet even began to dig into the floor as he slammed himself up into the wall. "Ooow..." He groaned standing there face against the wall before falling down along his a**. "Ok...too small of a place, or I need better control."

_____ ⇢ Skill Used // Skill Description Serah yawned as she walked down the road towards the Academy, it had been a lot of training but she was nowhere complete with all her items.
Upon entering the Academy Serah noticed two men working on Jutsu, well at least one was. The other was watching him. ‘Look at the intensity of his eyes, he’s watching that black-haired ninja so hard, th-they must be lovers.’ Sensing the flushed red face she was beginning to create, Serah shook herself a little before approaching the two men.
“Hello, I’m uh, trying to find a book to read that can teach me something about countering um, long ranged fighters.” Serah gestured to her spear, showing that it was her main form of fighting. Her eyes glanced back and forth between the two relatively attractive male shinobi. ‘I bet the snake is more of the seme!’ A grin appeared on Serah’s face as she scooped out the two men, trying her best to allow her fantasies to play out in her head without making facial gestures to show it.

An anbu jumped from the area above the students below with news from the kage. "Ironic you all are together already it would seem as though you all have met. The Kage had sent orders to inform a Serah Katto that she would be placed on a team with Nariomi Senju. Since you are already here my work is done." Making a quick hand seal he dispersed with a small puff of smoke.

Yet again watchful eyes observed his students training, so far he had been progressing well though he could not help but wonder for this teams stability in combat. Nari was an omnicombatant, and Nagato was clearly a ranged combatant. However that question was partly answered when a blue haired female approached him asking for help finding a book. Raising a brow he nodded,"Second floor fifth case on the left third shelf down." However his conversation was cut short by the appearance of an anbu informing him that this girl, clearly Serah, was on his team. Giving the anbu a polite nod he spoke up again,"Nagato. I hope your ready." Facing Serah he nodded again,"Welcome to the team. We will have to make introductions on the fly we have a mission and we are leaving now. Gather your supplies and meet me at the gates quickly." With a nod he exploded into mist and was gone.

Apparently, she was going to be teamed up with the power-couple of the village. ‘Oh okay, I’m going to be the third wheel of their relationship for the time being, interesting.’ Serah watched as the leader, who must’ve been Nariomi told them to meet at the front of the village.
Serah really didn’t need to pack anything so she decided that it would be wise to just go ahead and run straight there. “Alright I’ll get on it, and by the way I’m Serah, nice to meet the both of you.” Serah waved to the Naga, who was probably named Nagato based off of what the Senju had said. Without wasting any time, Serah power walked out of the Academy, hoping to make it to the front of the village as to avoid being left behind.

• Nagato Yuu • Kumogakure l Genin l Naga Clan l Elemental l Elemental [☬] Nagato turned back seeing Nari as he approached him he was surprised that he was still there after all he had spent most of the day reading the scrolls he had brought with him. It wasn't until the Anbu memeber came and spoke to Nari that Nagato looked at the girl who had seemingly asked Nari a question. Looking at her he noticed the spear that she had showed Nari. 'So she uses a weapon.' Nagato nodded at her as she waved he wondered what kind of person she was, and if she'd be afraid of his fangs like the others hand at their young age. It was then that Nari welcomed her to the team it made Nagato smile just a bit but not enough to show off his fangs, his hair brushed down into his face as he watched the girl turn when Nari mentioned meeting at the gate to get some missions done. Nagato just nodded and headed out after Serah as she walked by.
