Of all the--now Allan wanted them to fool around with a freaking DDR machine? how was this even training? On top of that, how did the sun division lead even expect them to move after all training before hand, as well as that walk back under the boiling hot sun? He'd be lucky if he could stand up without passing out! Never mind dancing!
Not that he was given the choice. The others quickly carried out their task and soon enough it was his turn. He would have to finish this quick! Very quick, because the arrows were already flying across the screen.

He tried. Really he did. But if this experience had taught him anything, it was that he couldn't play DDR in hard mode. Hell, he wasn't sure if it was even humanly possible. The screen had spewed arrows down faster than he could follow and between the quick paced music and the flashing lights, he felt like he was going to go insane.
Needless to say, he did a s**t poor job.

Allan waited almost solemnly for each trainee to finish their ordeal. In the time it took for them to attempt to get through a song (with the machine jeering and booing them the entire way for each failure), the Sun Division leader had already prepared an entire bowl of strawberry flavoured popcorn and set up the one-touch Runic DVD (because anything other than one button had yielded sort of disastrous results. Yet another five bottles of unopened Ramune were also on the counter waiting for them along with five stools.
"YATTA!" Allan popped the entire Ramune bottle - lid and everything in celebration, as fizzy soda pop went flying everywhere. "You did it trainee-tachi!" He leaned over to pat both Ami and Ofelia, the two closest to him, the back. "Now, okay, are you ready trainee-tachi for your reward? We-" There was that very evident tone that sounded very much like someone who could barely restrain themselves with nerdy happiness- "Are going to watch One Piece together." A catchy theme song was playing from the DVD. "Episode two is just my favourite!"
Note: Allan had watched episode two at least fifty-six times with various different Hunters on the island. Whenever anyone even asked 'What is One Piece?', the general consensus was this.
And so they watched episode two. The popcorn wasn't bad. Hell, the animation wasn't even that bad if it weren't for the fact that you know, it was strawberry flavoured. The drinks weren't bad, the food wasn't bad-
- The only thing that probably was "bad" was that Allan loved episode two so much he made all the trainees watch it. Five times. Five and a half. And continuously recited each line.
It was getting very close to midnight by the time the Sun Division lead finally looked at the clock. "Well, the night's still young..." he began, pulling out another DVD, the fabled third episode of One Piece.

Honestly? It really wasn't that bad. A bit bizarre at times, and the overall story was a bit hard to follow since she was being thrown into the world of anime, but really? It wasn't the worst thing she'd seen.
In fact, she kind of enjoyed it.
Maybe just a little.
"So how do they operate a ship with just the two of them? Isn't a crew like a ton of people? And whatever happened to Coby?" Was she totally into this? She was totally into this.
By the fifth time it had played, she was growing figety. She wanted to know what happened next Allan! "Put the DVD in already, I need to know if they get Zoro to join their crew!" Yup, still totally into this, if not a bit grumpy.

Rin was just having none of any of it. By this point she was tired, agitated, missed a meal and all around done. So it was no surprise (to her at least) that she crawled under the nearest piece of concealing furniture (a desk?) to try and sleep through their "reward" in moderate dark safety.

Ofelia was having a pretty hard time watching the show on account of all the subtitles and her inability to watch and read at the same time. She could do one or the other, not both, and eventually had given up to the point where she had no idea what was going on but was starting to like the sounds and noises and pretty pictures being flashed all over the screen.
There was also that whole bit about her not really knowing what to do next in regards to episodes, since Allan seemed more than content to just keep playing them. Maybe it would be best if she just stayed and watched, unlike Rin who was sleeping somewhere.

Syd was in the corner, introducing Ramune A to Ramune B... and then dissecting Ramune B to see if she would EVER get a drink. Yes, it DID take all night. Allan's example hadn't done the poor misty any good whatsoever.

Allan literally tut-tutted Ami as he pulled the DVD away, admonishing her lightly. "We can watch the third episode tomorrow, but some people are very sleepy. I think it's bed time for you kids."
The Sun lead did not take no as an answer, helping Rin to her feet, but not before handing her a large, comfy pillow that incidentally had a large cartoon bikini girl on it: if one could ignore the eccentricities, it was actually rather comfortable. On the way escorting them out, he ruffled Ofie's hair lightly and gave Sydney a few more bottles of Ramune for the trip. The waving, smiling face of Allan continued to haunt the trainees well down the corridor. OOC - The trainees would find the next morning a giant care package containing a One Piece wall scroll, six bottles of Ramune, and three boxes of tofu Pocky. Oh, and a new coat, each of them with a note written in chicken scratch that potentially said "CONGRATULATIONS NAKAMA!!" - Syd, Ofie, Ryan and Rin are now INTERMEDIATE TRAINEES!

Rin would like to say there wasn't a feral growl as Allan reached down under for her, there was. But it was quickly squelched as she was offered a nice comfy pillow and leave. A very very swift leave.
Her nice comfy beeeed, finally. She didn't even bother with covers just... plopped face first on top, shifted her new pillow under her chin and passed right the heck out. This time her dreams weren't haunted by strange music and loud action-filled voices.

Ofelia giggled like a little girl as Allan's hand placed itself on her hair, ruffling it, and she managed a wave good-night before running off to find a place to sleep.
. . . .except she wasn't going to sleep, there was baking to be done.
VICTORY. CAKE.

And the very sleepy mist toddled off like a three year old, clutching her many ramune buddies to her chest and trying not to trip over Aleister before dropping onto her bed, fully clothed and surrounded by bottles--and falling sound asleep.

Ami frowned. She wanted to knowwwwwwww.
Although if she was being honest, she was quite tired as well, and that pillow looked comfortable. Yes, she was so tired that even a body pillow looked comfortable.
"Okay Allan," she said politely, standing up and brushing herself off, "See you tomorrow~"
Oh wait, she almost forgot. "Ah! Wait," she said, waiting for everyone else to leave the room. "Allan, I was wondering if ... Well what ... How does one transfer divisions?"

The Sun Division leader was clearly the right person to ask this question to. He knew all of the things. "Well," Allan thought very long and hard, and then scratched his head, eyebrows furrowing slightly in concentration, "I usually just ask Simon."
Yes. All of the knowledge in the hands of the Sun lead.
"How about this?" He thought a little longer, one could almost see a little thinking bubble pop up over his head with a fat exclamation mark. "I'll ask Simon tomorrow about division transfers, and then we'll help you get set up for what you need." He paused. "Which division are you looking to get transferred to exactly?"

Ami nodded and said, "If ah ... If that would work best for you." Personally she just wanted to sign a paper or something and call it good, but since Allan had to ... ask his ... assistant.
What part of that made sense again?
Whatever, she was way too tired to deal with this. She wanted to go home and sleep. She had to wake up early and go find Wilson and show him her promotion. Was it bad she was a little proud of this?
"Ah- life? Unless I can't ... I just like life division," she said politely.

"Well, that's what being a trainee is about." Allan chuckled. "You try what you can and figure out where you want to go from there."
He stood up straighter, as if suddenly resolute, determination burning in his eyes, or maybe just the beginning of yet another long speech about nakama. "I will see you tomorrow then Ami, consider it a promise. We will get your division transferred and-" he brightened again - "I can have another long meaningful talk to H-kun about it."
A very long, meaningful talk. OOC Ami is dismissed! A mission will be set up for her "tomorrow"
