"You mean she's not here? Oh man that's not good. We came to get advice from her! Well I'm glad that at least there are some Humans still around." he replied yet growing more concerned for Mary.
"Jason what do we do now? What if Mary's in trouble?" He asked his friend, a deep concern in his voice. What if the rest of the world was like this? Matthew began to pace about the room. "Jason told me that she usually fetches the water. Where is this place exactly? Maybe it could lead us to find clues on where your daughter went."

"It's at the edge of the village." Jason and Mary's father said. Jason added, "But I wouldn't go up there we don't know what's up there and it's unlikely she's still there since it's been a little while since she was supposed to come back from there."

"I see...hmmm...do you have any ideas Jason?" he asked leaning up against one of the walls. "Are there any houses near the edge of town that she might have escaped into to hide?" He added.

Lana shook her head. "Not one I.. ever heard of." she said, quickly changing her sentence. She been about to say, 'one I wouldn't want to meet.' That would have beem insulting. This woman was intimadating enough with her blunt matter and serious eye. Now she looked downright scary. Lana silently prayed that these transformation didn't effect how they acted. She was starting to care less what they looked like as she turned the possiblities of that thought over in her mind.

Travis had been camping out on a trail just outside the town when the strange rocks hit. On his way home, he had spotted the silvery glow of one on a small ledge, and had hopped up to investigate.
Now he was running as fast as he could back into the village, trying to keep his shirt pulled down over his slightly swollen middle. As he sped by a menagerie of strange creatures, he noticed how many of them had grown like him, but had changed in so many other ways, too. He had even passed a long-haired centauress, her lower half rounded out. She looked like she was--
No. She couldn't be, even if she had been transformed, and he couldn't be either. He was a guy! But there was that other thing he was hiding with his shirt as he ran toward the houses, looking for anyone to shelter him. That other thing worried him.

Jason shook his head no. "There aren't any houses near the well. She probably ran back into town and hid somewhere. If she didn't then I don't know what's happened to her."
--
"Jessie, do you want us to leave you alone for a while? You seem kind of... Out of it at the moment. I mean- Why would Lana call you a goddess. We look nothing like them in fact we might be the opposite." Mary spoke in a sullen tone before sitting down on her knees.
She looked over at Lana and said, "You have no idea what we've been through so far. We went to a clothing store to try and hide what was happening to us, but we ended up looking like this. If my family were to ever hear about this or even the few friends that I have were then- I don't know what to do, not anymore." She covered her face with her hands and began to sob. "I should have told you about my friend Jason. We could have gone to him, but I didn't figure he'd still be "normal". It's too late for that."

"Mary...." Jessie got up and walked over to her friend, using the bed for support as lowered herself down to her knees beside her. Due to her largely protruding belly, she had to give her an awkward side hug with her four arms as the sides of their bellies rubbed against each other. "At this point, it's not likely anyone knows how to change us back. Even if an astronomer did know what's happening to us, it's unlikely he could fix this." Mary would feel one of Jessie's twins kicking again as Jessie grunted and removed one of her arms from the hug to rub her belly. "But you won't know what your friends and family think until you see them. And if they don't like you just because you've got a lizard tail and a bun in the oven, then they weren't good friends and family to begin with. When it comes to appearances, those who mind don't matter, and those matter don't mind."

Mary nodded and wiped away her tears with her hand. She hugged Jessie and said, "You do have a point... I have something to ask of you though now. You can probably fly with those wings on your back, so would you mind flying above the town and seeing how bad our situation really is. I mean I'd really like to know how badly the town's been effected and I'm sure Lana would too."

"My...wings?" Jessie looked back over her shoulder at her latest growths and flexed them a few times. "I guess...I mean I haven't actually tried to use them yet, but I guess now's as good a time as any."

Mary touched one of them and they felt leathery underneath her fingertips. "The problem is can they lift you off the ground. Not only because you haven't tested them, but you might be too heavy to get very high off the ground. No offense, but I'd rather not see you try and then suddenly take a spill."

"Exactly, especially when they'll be trying to carry three." Jessie said as she reached for the bed for support while trying to pull herself up onto her feet again. "But I won't know until I try, and I'm not going to jump off the roof to do it. I can just try and hover over the ground a bit until I'm confident they can hold us." she said as she patted her belly.

"So you're just giving up on your friend!? What if she's lying in a ditch somewhere or hiding in a building somewhere hurt?" Matthew said in a slight annoyed tone. He hated feeling so useless, paceing about the floor Mary's father had gotten them both something to drink, bottled water that hadn't been contaminated.
If people were being contaminated by the metorites what was is doing to the water, the earth, and the food. Matthew cautiously drank the water and gave a sigh of relief when nothing happened. It was normal water and his throat was glad he drank some. Singing made you partched. "Look I'm sorry, I just...what would you do if your friend was a monster Jason? Would you shun her or try to kill her?" He asked sitting down on the couch calming down some.

"You be careful with that, Jessie," Mary stated hearing what she planned to do. As she listened to the woman speak she grabbed her forehead and said, "It-It hurts... I don't know what's going on..." Suddenly a small bump formed on her forehead. It expanded pushed outwards as it slowly formed into a point.
--
Jason took his own glass of water into his hand and sat down next to Matthew. "I don't know what I'd do with Mary. I wouldn't try to hurt her immediately, but if she became a threat to herself and others I would probably do something about it." He stated draining his glass of water in one quick gulp.

"That would appear to be some sort of horn..." Jessie mumbled as she lightly poked the tip of Mary's latest growth. "Compared to the rest of what we've been going through, I'd call that minor." she said as she left the room, heading outside to test her wings.

"I see." He replied relaxing a little. "How long have you known her?" he asked making small talk. For right now, waiting seemed like the best option. There wasn't much a Bard and a Archer could do outside anyway. Still part of him was still a bit tense, the shock of people changing into monsters and causing a large rampage still bugged him. If only there was a song he could use to calm them all down, or maybe find some way to communicate with them.
Even though the were all transformed, deep down they still had a small part of themselves..right?
