Alex was walking across Route 2 when he heard a rustling in the grass. Jenkins' and Duskie's ears perked up as they looked over towards the grass and Lin sighed. The dogs bolted off towards the grass and rightas they got there and dove into it a Purrloin hopped over then and out of the grass. It paused cause it didn't seem to notice Alex and Lin were there before it hopped out. It took a step back seeming to prefer trying to escape from the two dogs but Lin shouted alerting them that the pokemon was back here and Jenkins blindsided it with a tackle knocking it to the ground.
Alex sighed and watched as it got up and Duskie seemed to do a flying tackle on it over Jenkins. At least they were learning how to work together, plus with co-operation like that it shouldn't be hard to fight a double battle or a person who wanted to fight with more then one pokemon at a time. The Purrloin took another tackle before it found a way to escape and took it. Lin walked over to the two dogs and started talking to them. Alex started at her and wondered what it was that she was saying because the dogs seemed to be listening to her.

Post 69 Chael past the halfway point to route 2 when he sighed. Essentially he was trapped here until he got that badge. The leader would have to have a good explanation as to why they were neglecting ther duties if they weren't there again. A bush nearby shuffled and a Pokemon jumped out. It was a... Lin finished talking to Duskie and Jenkins then pointed off in one direction that Alex thought was random.He looked over there and saw that it was a small stream heading towards the beach in the distance. 'Did Lin want them to cool down or take a drink or something?' he thought as he took a few steps towards it and Lin shouted out "WOTT!" and dove in front of him just as an orange blur zoomed past him.
It was a little pokemon. Alex had never seen particular pokemon before but he could guess that Lin wanted the two puppy pokemon to fight them. The first one just started flinging water around everywhere with its tail but Alex had no idea what it was doing as he was sure that it wasn't a water gun attack or a bubble or anything like that. The other one was just growling at the two dogs. Duskie howled and both of the skinny orange pokemon looked over towards it which let Jenkins tackle one of the two pokemon. Duskie then shot towards the same one that Jenkins hit and attacked it with another tackle, but it vanished before it connected and Jenkins was tossed back a foot or two as it appeared next to him and hit the Lillipup. Alex looked around for the third or fourth one cause there was no way that only two of them could attack that fast. "Osh" Lin said with a nod. Alex stared at her wondering what she was saying even more.
The first of the two wild pokemon did something. Alex wasn't completely sure what it was that it did but it looked like a yell or something, but it was really, really REALLY loud and it felt like there was a wind of some sort pushing against him. Duskie seemed to be out of the direct line of fire of whatever it was and tackled the pokemon into the other one. "Wow." Jenkins took advantage of that and ran around the other side of the two pokemon and both puppy pokemon charged the two orange pokemon at the same time. Nither of the wild pokemon seemed to be in shape to fight after that. Lin nodded with an "Osh."

Post 70 Walking along, Chael had rechecked the Snubbull's moves. The Fang attacks weren't there. Wow, he really needed to pay attention to detail. Walking over to the Pokemkn Center he had his team healed. Looks like they all leveled up, too. Going to the PC, he deposited the Snubbull. No use for her now, really. The slot for normal type was taken by Fear. With no elemental fang attacks, she'd get hurt more than she would help them. He walked out of the Pokemon Center and left Blyse City. Might as well walk around, right? Alex decided that after the last fight it would probably be best if they went to he pokecenter to make sure that they were fine. None of them seemed to be too hurt, but Jenkins and Duskie weren't running up and down the route like they normally did when there wasn't something they they thought they needed to fight and were instead walking right next to Alex on either side of him.
About halfway back to Blyse Duskie crouched and started growling. There must have been a pokemon somewhere nearby. Alex didn't see Lin anywhere and wondered where it was that she had wandered off to when a brown and whit striped pokemon shot towards Duskie with a stream of water propelling it. As Alex was digging in his bag at the time to see if he had accidentally put Lin in her pokeball he flung one at the thing flying in his general direction.
It didn't pop out. "Huh," Alex said to himself as he pulled out the pokedex and pointed it at the pokeball. "Daw, it's cute," he added as the picture for a Zigzagoon popped up on the screen. Lin came out from the grass and brushed her hands off. "Wott"

Finally, for what seemed to be the first time since he initially walked into the Laboratory in Blyse, Nolan didn't have all that much to do. 'Figures, either everything's happening all at once, or there's nothing to do at all.' Honor, Valor, and the Taillow were taking a break now, while Nolan was gathering up small stones and twigs. Carrying them back to the tree, Nolan didn't find it very demanding on his attention either when all he did was toss a twig or a small stone into the air for one of his Shinx or Taillow to catch or Tackle mid-air. They were becoming pretty amazing aerial battlers already with just some devoted and human-helped training. Twillow ... err, Taillow was the most impressive of them all. Except Twillow wasn't a very bad nickname ... But they just weren't there yet. While it was Valor's turn to show off his moves, Nolan ruffled Honor's fur, feeling the tiny twinge of electricity that crackled over the Shinx's body. That static got stronger, Nolan noticed, whenever one of the Shinx had been running around a lot. It just wasn't enough to shock anything with, although, sometimes it made the little hairs on Nolan's arm and along his scalp to stand on end. "Maybe someone will pass by soon. I think we might be ready for a trainer battle, or at least ... this is getting a little slow. Just, I don't want to start knocking wild pokemon silly." Post 71 A fire happened in the bushes nearby Chael. "Ah! Water Gun!" he shouted, Totodile spitting out large amounts of water at the bush fire. After a while it cooled and Chael decided to investigate. Returning all but Argos, he stepped into the mushy dead foliage that had been set a blaze moments prior. Time to figure out who the fool was that started that. "C'mon Argos. I may need another Water Gun." he said to the gator, who followed him into the bushes. The others were in their Pokeballs, so it was just the trainer and his starter. As the morning wore on, Nolan was feeling even more tired than before. The day already was incredibly different than yesterday. He had gone from just one pokemon that he had with him when he was on the ship traveling into Blyse, and after getting Snivy, he had captured four more pokemon - a full team. It still wasn't quite exactly what Nolan had pictured in his head, but then he hadn't really known what to expect. And he certainly wasn't going to have a full team of evolved and powerful pokemon just in a matter of 24 hours. For that fact, Nolan wasn't even sure what things would be like in a week. Needing some more time to think, and because his two Shinx and Taillow had done so well, Nolan fed his pokemon an early lunch. The rest of the berries that Snivy had gathered were split between the five, minus Nincada because he didn't seem to like them at all. Nolan had some plain food for pokemon that he had bought before, so everyone had something, but lunches in the future were also going to become a problem. How was he supposed to feed so many pokemon and himself with a limited amount of money? Watching the five other small pokemon eat and check out the new Taillow and Shinx, Nolan kept his Magikarp under one arm. Since there were no ponds nearby to let the fish swim around in, Nolan had to handfeed Dosu. Those two were already long time friends and it was an old habit. But with Dosu next to him and his back leaned up against the tree, Nolan felt his eyes getting heavy. He had gotten almost no sleep last night. Trying to fight it a little bit, it didn't take long until he drifted off with the fish as a pillow. Snivy finished her lunch first, and looking over the other pokemon, she licked her mouth clean. With Nolan asleep, she automatically considered herself the leader, knowing that she was the strongest here. And Snivy didn't really approve of the hodge-podge mix of sorry looking pokemon that her trainer had captured. Two Flash cubs, a dirty bug, some annoying, noisy bird, and that dumb looking fish didn't make for a very good team. But where Nolan's training left off, Snivy soon had the other four running laps with her around the tree and doing reps of push-ups while their trainer slept on. Right after Alex caught the Zigzagoon a heard of Rattatas ran by. There were about 20 of them and Alex had never seen so many at once. Yes, he had probably seen about 100 of them in a day when he went with his dad every now and then, but no more then four or five at once. It seemed that none of them were in the mood for fighting though as they all passed by like they were scared of something. Whatever it was Alex didn't want to find out, but hoped that it was the guy with the Dragonite, or the one with the weird looking Nidoqueen that had scared the things and not anything that would attack him.
Deciding that he didn't want to stick around to find out either way Alex and his pokemon bolted off towards Blyse with Lin shooting a Water Gun at anything that looked like it would be getting in their way. Other then a few Bidoof, Rattata, or Zigzagoon there wasn't anything that even looked like it would attack them and they reached the edge of the town without anything happening.

Waking with a start, Nolan blinked at the blurred shapes and colors that ran past him. Pushing his glasses back up his face, he leaned way forward to try to catch a glimpse of what just that was before it ran around behind the tree. But there was nothing, except ... now they were coming from his right again! Nolan just stared blankly, dumbstruck as all his pokemon ran in a line past him, Snivy in the lead and shouting at them as they ran in unison, "Niv! Niv! Niv! Niv!" Nolan thought he must have still been dreaming, but Dosu balefully called at him, trying to snap his trainer out of his befuddlement. 'At this rate, I might hurt myself in confusion ... har de har har.' But it was still super weird to see all his pokemon working together. This time Nolan waited until they were on another lap, and right when the Grass Snake was about to pass him, he said, "Snivy? Was this your idea?" Coming to a halt and all the others dutifully stopping as well, she nodded decisively, looking proud. Nolan didn't really know what to say, "Wow, t-that's great. Sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep like that ... but you know, last night wasn't so hot." Snivy seemed to give Nolan an understanding look. But she had even gotten that stubbornly mean Taillow to run along the ground behind the two Shinx. That was amazing to Nolan, but it was very unsettling how it seemed that Snivy was kind of replacing him as the leader. Scratching the back of his head, Nolan suddenly popped up to his feet, not knowing exactly what to do, but he just knew he had to do something to try to take back control. "Good work everybody, but lets cool down with some walking! And maybe find something to eat for dinner tonight too, unless you want some more of that tinned poke-food?" Snivy made a face, and Honor stuck out his tongue, but the others liked the mention of food, approving of the food from the Mart. "AND we'll find more berries for dessert?" That got the rest of them more excited, and right after Magikarp was returned to his repeat ball, Nolan started to walk Route 1 followed by a parade line of his pint-sized team. The trip to the pokecenter was uneventful. There was nobody else in there at the time, there wasn't a single person doing anything interesting on the way there or back. Jenkins and Stripes looked like they were getting along, but Duskie just ignored the Zigzagoon for the most part. It looked like she might be a little stuck up, or that she wanted to chase after Stripes. When the group got back to route 1 Duskie started barking at something then ran off. Alex ran after her.

"Duskie! Duskie!" Alex yelled as he looked for the Poochyena. He looked around for a minute or so before the other pokemon started looking. They didn't find her right away but they did scare off a few Rattata, and Bidoof, and Jenkins had to chase down a Shinx, but they found her at a berry bush. It looked like she was just hungry. Alex's stomach growled and he looked down at his stomach. He didn't eat anything since the sandwich he had yesterday so he tried one of the berries on the bush to see what it was. They were Oran berries and they were delicious. After they all stopped eating Alex looked around the bush for more berries so that the pokemon could use them later if they were low on health... But it looked like they ate all of them. Darn.

Alex wanted to make it all the way to the beach this time. As he walked along the route he avoided the high grass cause he didn't want to run into any pokemon that he didn't want to fight. That didn't stop all of the pokemon from coming though. There was a stray Hoppip that floated by. Lin shot a few Water Guns around it to get it to float higher and away from other things that might attack it. Stripes stuck right next to Alex as he seemed to be scared of something. Jenkins walked on the opposite side of Alex with Duskie on the other side of Jenkins. Lin seemed to be the only one that wasn't scared of whatever it was.
