Ducking and weaving under tree branches and over logs, Poke kept looking for something that she could use, but ended up coming across nothing of use. Except more sticks. There was plenty of sticks, but nothing else. And all the while she could hear the doll crashing along behind her. For a inanimate object, it sure was fast. She felt like sticking it to this doll, so she did. Suddenly stopping, she grabbed the nearest stick she could find, then hid behind one of the trees, waiting for the doll to catch up. It soon came into the view. Now if she could get this right... It drew closer and closer, running along, until it was near the tree. That was when she struck. Jumping out from her hiding place, she literally stabbed the stick into the manikins face, watching it bend backwards and then fall over. She grinned; not bad for a ghoul only armed with a stick. Her victory was short lived, as she was suddenly thrown off balance, the doll swinging it's stubby leg around and catching her foot. Before it could get to it's feet however, the dragon ghoul had taken off yet again. More running ensured, yet there was little change of scenery, nor was there any other things she could use. But even so, she had been pretty successful with the sticks she had found. Perhaps this was what Cybele had meant? With another stick in hand, she thought about what she could do this time, slowing her pace to conserve energy. Maybe she could- "OW!" Poke held her head, not realizing the manikin had caught up to her. Annoyed, she whirled around and thwacked the doll over the head with her own stick, causing it to break. But hey, at least she doing was doing some damage. HP: 21 Opponent's HP: 3 Weapon This Round: Stick Effect/Damage This Round: 5 Bonus Mechanics: unused Previous Posts: Post 1 Post 2

SWEET VICTORY! The manikin seemed to be on it's last legs, but it still was able to throw another punch right in Poke's face. Stepping back, she considered her options, keeping a eye out for anything useful. Which just happened to be not far away. A beehive hung on a low hanging branch, which would prove perfect for the final blow! She sidestepped the doll, reaching out to grasp the beehive and then throw it right at her opponent. It broke open over it's head, releasing some angry bees to buzz around the doll until it fell lifelessly to the ground. "Ha ha! That was pretty easy!" She congratulated herself, feeling proud over her victory. But now that she had defeated it...what was she supposed to do. On that note...where the heck was she? In her hurry to keep running, she neglected to keep track of her surroundings. "....Crap". If Amrita could pant, she would be. The instincts to do so had long since died in the mash of parts she called a body, but just because she couldn't pant to show weariness didn't mean she wasn't feeling it's effects. Her limbs were starting to weigh down on her at the very least, and as she stared down at the deactivated training mannequin something else caught her attention; the unnatural creak of branches. Amrita knew her trees, and that noise didn't sound normal; it sounded like something was on it.
This was one instinct that thankfully hadn't died, and Amrita turned quickly towards the noise, ready for almost anything, and was almost surprised to catch a glimpse of someone taking off into the canopy. However brief the interaction was, it sent chills down her borrowed spine. Of course it also begged some questions - how long has she been there, why is she there, what is even - and there was a moment of panic as she thought that maybe, just maybe, this class wasn't over yet. More importantly, she had a feeling that knew who that was...but the more she tried to pull that knowledge from her mind, the more she was overcome with images of fire.
Euuugh.
So she gave up, shoving the thoughts from her mind and put her focus instead on how to get back. The canopy was too thick for her to see which direction the assumed Horseman had vanished in, and in the event that this was another part of the class...well, she didn't want to be a sitting, wounded vampireduck.
"Don't you dare come back to life and hurt me." She grumbled at the mannequin, grabbing it's lifeless arms to drag it behind her as she sought her way back to the initial class area. All the while she looked for signs that the mystery-fire-lady was still around. Just in case.

Joachim for once took the walk through the forest as a bit of delight. Though considering he had been in a slight bit of fear around the horsemen village knowing that he moving further way from the center of it made him rather more relax. However, the expression of a rather disgruntled frown only grew deeper the further they continued to walk he even began to ignore the soft breeze tangling his curly hair. His frown of utterly dislike reached a rather critical appearance when they reached the clearing and the horsewoman presented the leather mannequin and describe the goal of the class. Joachim held out his hands looking at the neatly manicured nails, he didn't have any claws or even teeth sharp enough to harm someone else. Instead he was going to have to be completely depended on the forest and this was frightening to him. Letting out a sigh he shook his head, this was what he signed up for he was weak and he knew it so there was no point in wanting to whine. So Run. Taking in a deep breath of he took off sprinting into the forest he didn't think about which direction he was heading in. Instead he focused on what was in front of him listened to the rhythm of his breathing, he may not have been physically built but running and maintaining his breath was something he trained himself to do. At least he had that he thought before a crashing noise behind him startled causing him to trip over a bare root. s**t s**t s**t he thought as the threatening figure of the mannequin grew closer, quickly digging though the underbrush he grabbed the first thing his hands wrapped around. A vine? PERFECT! Scrambling to his feet he pulled the vine and made sure the end was free whipping it towards the mannequin it wrapped around the torso allowing him to pull it forward in an attempt to trip it. It worked! It actually worked... well for the most part it had fallen forward and thudded to the ground but after it had smacked him across the check. Run.
The flat sandals were throwing Siddie off. She hadn't run in flats for years, not till this week, and the motion was all off, the balance weird. She tripped twice. The mannequin got closer to catching up. The third time she tripped, though, she spotted it - a rock, embedded in the underbrush. She got to her knees and scrabbled at the rock, pulling it out of the dirt; as the mannequin rounded a tree and spotted her, she heaved the rock with a little scream.
The mannequin struck her just as the rock struck it. The rock made more of a dent, and the thing staggered back, giving Siddie time to duck around a fallen log and run again. Something else. She needed to find something else she could use.

When Siddie nearly ran into a tangle of vines, it took her a few moments to see the potential in the vegetation. She pulled several together, tied them aside, and made a nice clear path between a live tree and a dead one; some hasty knotting secured the vines to the dead tree. When the mannequin came loping between her trees, Siddie threw her weight backwards, hauling on the vines with all her strength. For a few seconds, she thought that it wasn't going to work. Then, with a groan and a crack, the dead wood gave way, and the vines brought it down onto the mannequin. To her dismay, it wriggled beneath the trunk, working its way out from underneath. She ran again. HP: 32 Opponent's HP: 6 Weapon This Round: Vine Effect/Damage This Round: 5 Bonus Mechanics: Used Previous Posts: 1

SWEET VICTORY!Siddie nearly ran right into the cluster of stones that reared out of the underbrush, and spat a curse. The mannequin was catching up again; she didn't have time to pick a path around the rocks and choose a better place to fight or set a trap. She looked around wildly. There was a branch half-broken off a nearby tree. She grabbed it and pulled hard; it snapped off, leaving her with a pointed, splintery stick. It would have to do. She turned to face the sounds that announced the mannequin was almost there, took a good tight hold on her stick, and waited. When it arrived, she lunged at it, shoving the stick into its body as hard as she could. There was resistance, then a kind of popping sensation; the stick sank into the mannequin's flesh, and it had time to take a couple of swipes at her before it slowed, then stopped, dragging her stick out of her hands as it collapsed. Siddie pushed her hair out of her face and smiled. She'd done it. Stupid mannequin. Nyyrikki was offended. They were playing with what this clan considered children's toys in order to train? There was little that could be more offending. He crossed his arms and watched at the mannequins came to life one by one, and for a moment considered just standing his ground. However, he had enough sense to study his surroundings for a brief second. There was nothing here but other mannequins, and he didn't have his own weapon. There was nothing here he could fight with except his fists, and he wasn't the kind to bet on his hand-to-hand combat skills.
So as the final "run..." fell from the instructors lips, he turned and did just that. He took off through the trees, not for the first time wishing he could shadow shift. He ran until he could no longer hear the foot falls of the other students, and then he turned, took a deep, stabilizing breath, and examined his new surroundings. It was very green. But more importantly, thick vines hung from the twisted limbs of the trees around him. Vines he could use. Vines worked much the same as his chains. He ripped a long tangle of vine from a tree just as a mannequin appeared through the trees.
And he grinned just as his makeshift weapon lashed out with a whirring whistle through the air, slamming into the mannequin with a loud crack. Perhaps playing with children's toys would be fun.
The mannequin lashed back, landing a hit on Rikki's shoulder. Though it hurt, he still laughed.

Rikki pulled the vine back, readying himself for another attack, when he realized the force of his previous attack had split it, making it useless. With the way the mannequin advanced, he didn't have time to work another free. That left only one option, which was the again follow the last word the teacher had uttered. He dashed off again, dodging through the trees, though keeping a slower pace so he knew where his opponent was.
He slid to a stop and the gurgle of water filled his ears. Could mannequins swim? He changed his direction and came up on a small creek, not large enough to swim in unfortunately. It did have one advantage though - rocks. All along the bank huge boulders lined the water. Nyyrikki hefted one up and turned to his mannequin with a smile just before he chucked it through the air. It hit the mannequin in the chest, but didn't have enough force to knock it over.
The mannequin managed a hit in Rikki's thigh as the reaper turned to jog along the bank, searching for a bigger weapon. HP: 32/40 Opponent's HP: 7/15 Weapon This Round: Rock Effect/Damage This Round: 3 Damage Bonus Mechanics: unused Previous Posts: First round

"Bigger rock, bigger rock," Nyyrikki repeated the mantra as he jogged along the bank of the creek, limping ever so slightly from the hit his opponent had landed in his leg. It took a couple minutes of jogging, which was actually quite a distance, for him to find something suitable. He wasn't sure the rock was exactly bigger, but it was better shaped, which made Rikki confident that he'd be able to throw it better.
The grim turned to see that the mannequin was a lot closer behind him than he would have been comfortable with. Jack dammit. He turned and managed the huge rock into his hands just in time to swing around and toss the rock with the velocity of his turn. The rock slammed into the mannequin's head, knocking the thing over, though not before it managed to land another hit on Rikki.
Rikki had no doubts that the mannequin could get back up, and so he took off again. Running, it seemed, had been very apt advice. HP: 28/40 Opponent's HP: 2/15 Weapon This Round: Rock Effect/Damage This Round: 5 Damage Bonus Mechanics: unused Previous Posts: First round Second round

Letting go of the vine as the mannequin began to tug it out of his hands Joachim scrambled around looking for another. None..... instead what he round was a pile of loose dirt from what looked to be the discarded remains of a burrowed home. Maybe this would work? Pilling as much as he could into his hands he thought if he just started to pour it on the mannequin’s head it would be distracted or at least end up in it’s eyes causing him a few more minutes of time. But he forgot that his opponent didn’t have any, the mannequin landed a punch to the gut. SWEET VICTORY! Nyyrikki was practically gasping for air by now. While good advice, running took a lot out of him. He doubted that he'd be able to muster the energy to lift another rock, even if he tried. He knew the opponent must have been running low on... what did mannequins have? Batteries? Artificial life? Whatever it was, it had to be running low because some of the hits Rikki had landed had been quite good. Not to blow his own horn or anything.
It was as he was running that he heard another distinct noise. Did centering himself make it easier to hear things? Possibly, because he would have missed the sound on an ordinary day. He headed toward it, consequently away from the creek, and dodged through the trees until he found the source. Hanging from a low branch was a hive of bees, no doubt disturbed by all the students running through their forest. The buzzed and hummed angrily and swarmed around their little fortress, and gave Rikki a brilliant idea.
By the time the mannequin appeared, Rikki was leaping up and breaking the branch that the hive hung from off. He swung it like a bat and let go, and it went tumbling through the air at the mannequin. The bees immediately attacked the first target they saw, and the glowiness the mannequin had possessed quickly disappeared. Rikki hid away until most of the bees were gone, and once the coast was clear he picked the mannequin up by the neck, drug it to the clearing where they had started (after getting lost for five or ten minutes among the trees which all looked the same). He dropped it in front of the teacher to prove his victory, and then left to explore for the rest of the day. “Oww” He whispered out as he doubled over grabbing where the mannequin had hit him. He tried to grab something anything but his opponent had the upper hand as he kicked the reaper in the ribs sending him rolling across the ground. s**t… Joachim thought as he started to draw his knees up to his chest in hopes of at least dampening the next set of blows that he was sure to come. However something green caught his eye, THE VINE! Scrabbling to grab it he quickly tried to whip it back and sling it towards his approaching opponent. Wrapping it around the mannequin’s ankle he pulled as hard as he could watching it crash to the ground. SWEET VICTORY! Rolling way from the fallen mannequin Joachim scrambled to find his next weapon. Anything would do… well except for the pebble he picked up tossing it over his shoulder he got to his knees. He started to crawl towards a branch, or a stick whatever the word was it was at least pointed enough to stab at the mannequin. Before he could reach it something grabbed his ankle and pulled hard causing Joachim to smack his chin straight into the dirt. “No… so closeee!” He screamed digging his hands into the dirt trying to pull himself forward. It was close enough that the tips of his fingers just reached it allowing it to roll closer to him until it reached the palm of his hand. “AAAHHH TAKE THIS YOU STUPID DOLL!” He screamed rolling around close enough to drive the sick into the shoulder of the mannequin. It stopped moving after letting go of his ankle. Over it was finally over, he thought as he got to his feet and dusted the dirt off of his clothes. Kicking it once in spite Joachim grabbed the ankle of the mannequin and headed back to the clearing, or at least the direction he thought the clearing was in.
