Once they were through the portal and free to start working Bix stuck with Fini. "Flexing muscles? I don't have many of those but I like to pose and look tough." He teased. "Weapons out though. We're protection remember?" In a flash, Mina was summoned into his hands, the white feathers barely blowing in the stale air. Despite his joking Bix's eyes scanned the room. He scanned the holes and positioned himself between 2 of them. "Get between those other holes." He motioned with his fingers. "Hopefully we'll be able to see if anything is coming." Marcus was there then and asking him about the boarded up door. "I'm not happy about that door but it's sort of our job to find out what's going on here. It's got to be opened eventually." Some other trainees were already clearing the area. "I think you guys need to put some sort of defense up quick, just in case. How about some of these?" There were already tables flipped, just looking to be repositioned.

Molly smiled back at Candace briefly, before giving a nod and heading over to the blocked off areas, where it seemed Sasha was already at work!
As Candace started to move some of the heavier things from the bedroom area, Molly helped as well. Man, swinging that lance around did wonders for the heavy furniture moving. The young woman fell silent as she concentrated at the task at hand. One thing at a time…

I hope you choke.
"A pity that she was unable to make it, however I see that you have already made yourself comfortable given the circumstances." Aria eyed the mug and counter he was sitting on, her face a careful neutral. It was too bad Clarice wasn't here -- she was dependable and a charm to speak with. It was too bad that she was in Life. Aria would have loved to have her as Mist assistant, however with Lance coming along nicely with his own training. Still, it was flattering to be considered someone to look up to, even if Aria's past track record was anything but.
As the talk turned to the trainees, Aria quietly agreed. "Indeed. We shall see how long they last. In the meantime, please excuse me. There are a few things I wish to investigate myself." She inclined her head politely before approaching the counter, ignoring him as she began to search the cabinets.

Like Candace and Molly, Cass began to help moving the debris blocking the way towards the residential area.
"I feel like we should be ready to summon our weapons at any moment while we do this, just in case it is blocked for that reason." Cass nodded, seeming to approve of Molly and her energy-enthusiasm-what-have-you as she handled the tasks being tossed out to them. It was good to have some good energy in the division again. It had been kind of worn out for a while with so few of their numbers.
It was starting to boom with life again. She loved it. Aria would keep Cass forever.

Marcus looked at the other trainees who had decided to begun to un-barricade the doors and not bother to move things where they might be of use. "Hey guys." He called at the ones currently breaking down the only barricade they had. "If you're going to be moving materials we can use around like that, can you please try to move them over here?" He motioned to the barricade they were trying to build. "It's the only way that was blocked, and from the inside no less, so I'm rather hesitant to dismantling it before the other holes are at least somewhat covered."

[I wasn't quoted anywhere, so I'll assume that nobody talked to her~]
She was sweating. Damn it.
However, if they ever had to go outside, at least she would be warm; she did, however, take off a few of her layers, stuffing them inside the backpack she had brought when they reached the outpost. Almost immediately, Marcus had issued orders, so she just kept quiet. The way the snow was pilled up outside, against the holes, made her curious, and she shouldn't help but nudge Marcus, bringing it up to him before gently running her gloved hand along the circumference of the hole on the other side of the outpost - the hole level with a window and the smaller one near it - trying to figure out what exactly made something like this.
Oh right, she wasn't in Death division for this one.
"Do you think we'll need to cover that up too?" She asked Marcus, pointing to the hole on the ceiling as approached Aria - who seemed busy with her own investigation, "Excuse me, Aria, but there seems to be a barrier around this outpost keeping the snow and wind out? What sort of a barrier is it, and does it keep anything else out?"

Marcus nodded as Ariane brought up their little sky light. "Yeah. Not sure what would be the best way however aside from trying to prop up some tables from the outside and tying them down, using stuff from in here as leverage to secure it. For now I'm just focusing on what we can get to. Do you want to take two of the trainees at focus on our sun roof while the rest of us handle the impromptu doorway?"

Clerise followed the Mist leader through the portal, immediately grimacing at the heat.
She was bundled up like a piggy in a blanket, and christ, it felt like summer in the place. There was no stripping, not yet, as she was preoccupied with examining the wreckage. The sight of the fallen facility was kind of sad. She was not so familiar with technology yet, especially Life's fancy pants computers, but still. Seeing such things in disarray was ...unnerving. Poor little electronics. They weren't as cute as minipets, not by far, but they were still important.
Red eyes observed the not-so-good-according-to-rumors doctor in the corner, wondering how he could sip cocoa in the ******** heat. Idly, Clerise wondered if there was a nice shot of whiskey in there. She was jelly.
Everyone else was getting to work, so she supposed she should join the cause. She would have asked Robert where to start, but really...Clerise didn't want to rely on him. Nice guy, funny fellow, badass fighter-- but she was somewhere new!
And new meant exploration.
Mentally, she reviewed her objectives: recover things and or people. Hopefully alive, for both of em. Being new, the redhead didn't know the difference between the nicer electronics, so she supposed she'd try to find someone instead.
But first...
This goddamned coat would have to go. Dropping her bag over in a corner and out of the way, Clerise stripped out of her coat, even if beneath it was still a damned turtleneck. Clerise rolled up the sleeves to the shirt and wrapped the coat around her waist, tying the arms there.
Oh my sweet christ that was so much better.
With that done, the Life trainee went to investigate the third hole, closer to the ground. Maybe something interesting would be through there.

((Sorry for the lag lD))
Feeling slightly reassured that he was indeed, a little prepared for what was to come, the mist trainee entered the tent and went through the portal to find himself ....
feeling very warm.
Strange. It was the North Pole.
Unzipping his jacket, Dillon took some time to observe the wrecked room. So the electricity and heating was still working... what was up with all those strange holes?
<> Right.
Turning to Madison, Dillon looked somewhat apologetic for his lack of knowledge. Man, he should really have done some research before hand. “No, please fill me in?”
Wiping the sweat off his brow, the mist trainee then took to examining some of the nearby equipment. The screens were covered in a rather thick layer of dust – probably a result of whatever happened in here. Wiping it clean with the sleeve of his jacket, Dillon would find the screen of a Fear Meter, prompting him to try to switch the machine on with the controls on the side.
Dillon froze at Madison's last question.
Are you - <>

Feng had to admit that he was pretty impressed by his team mates. Especially the neat weapon that the one girl, Mercedes, had. He wasn't sure he'd be able to summon Shang that fast, but he'd sure as hell try if he needed to. He smiled softly at the weapon's chuckle.
When he followed his group through the portal - which was really cool, by the way - he immediately shed his gloves. He'd been expecting cold arctic winds, not balmy indoor heating. In fact, he could already feel the heat building under his heavy coat and he shed that too, tying it around his waist as he moved further into the room. It was... horrible in here. He tried hard not to speculate on what the red and brown liquid that stained the walls and furniture was, but from the metallic tang in the air he had a pretty good idea. The amount of debris was startling as well, and he had to take a moment just to soak in all the sensory information.
He quickly began muscling debris away from the door to the residential area with the rest of his team, shouldering a particularly large piece of wood out of the way. This he could handle. Orders, feeling like he was doing something good. With orders he felt more comfortable, and could almost ignore the gloom and destruction that certainly filled the room.
Almost, because he was still ready for whatever could jump out from behind this door.

Michael was very glad he’d listened to the instructions on their sign-up sheet and stayed silent as he listened to the snipping from some of his fellow lambs towards his superiors. He felt slightly embarrassed to even be associated with them – especially Rep. Just why. He would bet any of the intermediate hunters could kick their asses and that was not how you talked about ladies if you wanted to be in their good books. << Pffft. I could so take some of them. One hit and BAM – heart attack>> Michael mentally rolled his life and barley resisted correcting the thunderbird on how the baton did not work like that. As soon as they all arrived at the tent and stepped into the wrecked room beyond the portal Michael found himself among the number of people breaking out in sweat from the stifling heat within. Ok, so maybe it wasn’t always great to listen to instructions when it ended up with you needing to shed three layers. Still, he glanced at the two going out on patrol, he would have enough layers to hopefully stave of frost bite if he had the misfortune of having to go out of the…force-field thingy. << Sweeeeeeeeeet. Look at those stains! Must have been a hell of a fight! I hope whoever did it comes back for round two.>> Michael vehemently disagreed with Nuucha on that idea. He liked his guts where they were thank you very much. << Hey you signed up for it.>> He couldn’t disagree with that. Sighing he picked up a piece of plaster and added it to the pile in front of the large hole. “ Marcus, do you think we should have our weapons at the ready just in case?” he asked the hunter, thinking about their job as defence. It wouldn’t be good if they were attacked only to not have their stuff out to defend.

Sorry Michael, every group had people like that. They tended to grow out of it. Slowly, but they grew. (At least one hoped that is how things worked). At Michael's question Marcus made a bit of a juggling gesture with his hands. "Yes and no. Yes, since you should ready to summon your weapon at any time for any reason. No since on the same hand, we're trying to build a barricade right now and if our weapons are in our hands ready to be or already are summoned, it's not very feasible to work like that. Just have them ready in the sense you're able to summon them at a moment's notice. The sun division is to be standing guard while we build, and if something were to attack, they're a short buffer that should give us time to summon out own weapons if the need arises." A glance at stains made him visibly wince. "And I really hope it doesn't come to that."

Sasha couldn't help but give a little gasp of surprise when Candace stepped forward and whispered in her ear. Rosebud?
<I like her. She is beautiful. Not as beautiful as I, but beautiful nonetheless.>
There are so many nice people here, Nona.
<Nice is boring, my dove. You will learn.>
Nice is nice, Nona. And maybe I like boring.
"Ah, sorry, sir. Um, ma'am." Sasha closed her eyes briefly and gave a shake of her head before opening them again, offering Candace, Molly and Cass each a smile. "I wasn't certain what could be considered valuable, so I decided to look for survivors."
Her eyes flicked towards the hooded man who had been speaking to Aria before the young woman turned back and continued her task.
"I appreciate the help. This should go faster, now."
<That man.>
No.
<Who is he?>
No, Nona. We have a task.
<Such a man. Find out who he is. So mysterious, that hood. Nona likes him.>
Oh my God Nona, please.
<For now, Nona will enjoy the presence of this beautiful woman.> She sounded resigned.
Sasha refused to respond.

Izy mentioned, jerking Sydney into the real world. She hadn't even noticed how overheated she was, not when she was trying to figure out the puzzle in front of her.
She awkwardly fumbled with her clothes, pulling off her gloves and shoving them into her coat pockets before unzipping the coat and tugging her scarf away from her throat. There was redness in her cheeks, but whether that was from being overheated or embarrassed, she wasn't saying. But to be mothered like this was a bit strange to the girl.
Izy drawled with amusement.
..... Thank you so much for pointing that out, Izy.
