"Still, I'm sorry you had to go through something like that. I'm relieved you didn't die." After all, Rose was young. He still had his whole life ahead of him. Anytime a life was extinguished that early, it was just sad. "I hope that since you had the chance to live, you'll be able to make something of yourself and all that--live a good life." He laughed slightly. "Unlike me. I'm just a vagrant who happened to weasel his way into this school. You're lucky you have the chance to be more than that."

"I've stolen quite a bit, though it was only clothes, and there are people who want me dead as well. Even my own father. ... Especially my father, actually."
"And I really don't have a chance to do anything with my life. Have you seen my permanent record? I would be lucky to get a job at a tattoo shop after I'm done with my education," He said, wondering what Mr. Gray did to make him think he was such a horrible person. He would have needed to murder someone to do worse than what he's done. It was all on his record: stealing, terrorist threats, assault, and his worst regret... He didn't even want to think about the word. It definitely was a miracle that this school let him in. It was difficult to think of all the things he did and the consequences he suffered.

then speak like a gentleman..."Eh, I'm not getting into a contest over who's broken the law more," Gray said. "I'm just saying that no matter what happened in the past, you seem like a good kid. I think you can do better than some guy who doesn't even have a permanent address."
"It's a shame about your father though. I guess some parents are just unworthy of the title." He laughed slightly. "Not that I have much room to talk about that. I should really try to find Pilot a decent place to stay." But he kind of liked having the little scrapper around. Even if she was moody and cranky, and obsessed with hot dogs. Not to mention the sheep. Besides, they kept Adiemus company so that was all good.
"Anyway, enough depressing conversation. Let's discuss something else."

If he didn't want to feel like a ***** for having him chasing after him, the least he could do was treat him like he was older than ten. He didn't say anything this time, but he did give him a disapproving look as soon as he said it. If he said it again, he was definitely going to get on his a** about it.
"You're... not going to adopt her?" Rose asked with a frown when he mentioned finding a place for Pilot to stay. then speak like a gentleman..."Well first of all, who would let me adopt a child?" Gray asked. "I live in a wagon and my only 'family' are three clay golems that aren't exactly the brightest lads out there. And outside of Rosentale, there are numerous people who'd like to see me dead--what kind of life is that for a kid? Isn't it a little irresponsible to drag her along, knowing she's not going to, you know, have a real family and school and little girl things. Not to mention that it's dangerous."

Sure, he had some good reasons why he wouldn't be a good father for Pilot, but it would be a much better life for her than others he'd seen. He had grown up in the slums, living around kids Pilot's age that had to breathe in the fumes of broken down drug houses their entire lives, and Mr. Gray's wagon was a sanctuary in comparison.

"Eh, if I was scrounging for excuses I would have done that before taking her in," Gray said, scratching the back of his neck. "Besides, it wasn't my intent to keep her this long. I intended to find a more permanent place for her but..." He trailed off. She had kind of wormed her way in and he didn't really want to send her somewhere else, even if he knew it was best for her. "Anyway."
He leaned on the table, resting his chin in his hands. "Mama Rose? I honestly don't know if that's disturbing, amusing, or just outright pretentious," he joked. "It also makes you sound like a plump Spanish lady."

And he wasn't even joking. That was the one thing that he could cook that would come out right every time. "I'm thinking I should get an apron that says that... Pink or yellow? I think yellow is more my color, but pink is more attention grabbing." He was serious about getting it too. Oh great. Now he was picking out clothes for him. Gray was about ready to punch himself in the face. He was supposed to be running Rose off, not encouraging him. He sipped his tea, trying to cover up that he was flustered. Grr. When did he turn into such a softie? First Pilot, now Rose?
"Spanish rice or not, I still think Mama Rose is a little creepy. You'd need to start wearing your hair in a bun, and get hoop earrings. And wear one of those scarves. Not that I have a problem with any of those as a general fashion statement...but I think they'd look rather odd on you."

 There was a loud scream as pilot ran for the wagon. "GRAY! GRAY! HELP!!!" The little girl screamed bloody murder as she ran over and stumbled up the stairs, opening the door to the wagon. "GRAY GRAY GRAY GRAY! Someone is trying to eat Adiemus!!!!" She cried as she flung herself into his lap. "Hes going to get eated!" She exclaimed as she grabbed his hand and tugged on it with tears rolling down her face.

And by good, Rose meant that it would be an embarrassing combo for anyone who laid eyes on it. A mauve apron and deep purple shorts were definitely great for causing people discomfort. He thought about getting an apron for every color in the rainbow so he could wear a new one every day of the week, but he figured it would be a bit too expensive. Especially since he was planning on having it hand knit.
"I actually do have some hoop earrings, but most of the scarves I have wouldn't work..." He admitted with a grin, turning his head to the side to show that his ears were pierced. "I was actually tempted to wear my diamond pair, but I didn't want to look too fancy. I prefer to keep those safe at home anywa--" He stopped as soon as he heard distant screaming.
Holy hell, it was Pilot screaming wasn't it? He jumped to his feet just as she swung open the door, watching as she flung herself onto Mr. Gray. Adiemus? That wasn't one of the sheep. Now he was just confused. ❤═━.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.━═❤

then speak like a gentleman...Gray stared down at Pilot nonplussed, as she threw herself onto his lap sobbing. "Someone is...eating my horse?" he asked, really confused. He patted her awkwardly. "Well, I think Adiemus would give anyone who tried to eat him a good, swift kick to the head. But let's go see what this is about, shall we?" He stood, lifting Pilot into his arms as he started back outside the wagon.
He had no idea what was going on, but he figured it wasn't a big deal. If Adiemus was hurt or being hurt, Gray would hear him screaming or making a fuss. Still, if someone was messing with his horse without permission, he was going to kick their a**. "Rose, you can come if you like--or stay there where it's warm. It's up to you," he called as he started back to the stables to find out just what was going on.

He followed after Mr. Gray out of curiosity, wondering if it was a vampire desperate for a snack or something. If so, he definitely wanted to watch Mr. Gray kick their a**. Maybe he would pull out a cutlass or something and chop its head off. Damn, he should have brought a camera with him.

Gray led the golems back to his wagon, at little surprised the sleeping man didn't wake up. The other one looked decidedly put out but then, that had never stopped Gray before, so whatever. When they reached the wagon, he permitted the golem with Sylth to go in first. It carried him to the bed at the back of the wagon and laid him down before pulling up the blankets and tucking him into the bed in a disturbingly maternal fashion. After it exited, the second one went in and plunked Severin down on the bench beside the bed.
"After you my lady," Gray said, motioning Chea inside after both golems had left. With a grin, he followed her inside.
He hadn't taken part in a decent abduction in years. This was fun.

 "The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do." ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀✿ Still holding the book from the library, Chea followed Gray along with his two golems back at his wagon. Her eyes roamed around the place.. "Sweet!"
Then bowed again at his offered. "Thank you Sir Gray.." then skipped inside the wagon.. She can see perfectly all his tools for alchemy.. "Wow! You own this? neat! I want to do this too." She chirped. Then looked at Severin and Sylth who's still sleeping something or drooling in such a manner.
Then looked at Briar on her hand.. "I was thinking of you Briar on joining them on the hot cauldron." she giggled. "Nah.. Just a divine punishment for stealing my pendant for the very least."
Chea glanced over the two professors.. "Actually, I had fun doing the abduction, how is it feels like being abducted huh?" Then giggle.. "Anyhow, I just want your help with my deciphering this.." Showing her pendant to them. ✿▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ "My only mistake is YOU"
