The ickycom screeched loudly, effectively making everyone cover their ears, or just stop talking to stare at the students covering their eyes.

"Welcome back from the hol-" A louder screech, as Arel winced as well, dropping the ickycom handle for a second, which incidentally just made the screeching worse. A couple of moments passed as he fumbled for the controls, the other demon shooting the secretary a very displeased sort of look. Five seconds later, after beating the thing into submission, the ickycom seemed to at least, be working again. Somewhat.

"Holidays. Err yes, anyway, as Amityville is now an established facility, this marks a new year to the semester, welcome new students and old ones alike." He sounded extremely not enthusiastic, but that was nothing new. "I know several of you have ah, questions regarding Amityville's general safety, but school will stay open and running." Arel himself, was thinking of what happened back in the Christmas parking lot incident, with a little swell of pride. They had fought back the Hunters, and the Amityville staff had proven how much they were willing to push back. The school would never be quite safe but at least they were even in the slightest bit, protected. "Any other questions, feel free to stay after the assembly to ask."

He gave the other attendant on stage a look before passing the ickycom over. Said demon stood up, pulling their robes around them, their outfit not unfamiliar to some, especially those standing around Invictus. "As Halloween and The Four Clans have successfully entered a treaty, I was told that Amityville was a candidate for being a Halloween ambassador schools for a culture and exchange program with the Four Clans." They were fancy words, their voice slightly clipped, the barest hint of a foreign accent. "I am an ambassador myself from the Four Clans, and over the duration of the next few moons, am here to assess the value and worth of Amityville as a worthy contribution. If your school is chosen, you can expect the protection from the Four Clans as well."

It seemed Arel had not been expecting the last line as he stared sharply at said Four Clans ambassador. The latter simply passed the microphone back to the secretary, who struggled to continue talking for a second. "Yes, um, anyway, many of you know, we already have some special guests from the Four Clans, who made this.... relationship possible." Of course, the four heirs, the horsemen. Everyone knew of the Four Clans, four islands in the far west that housed the foreboding horsemen, once known as a sort of extremist group in Halloween. A few students murmured to themselves back and forth, unsure of what to say. Why was Halloween, why was Amityville in fact, interested in such a program?

"At this point, the assembly is dismissed, but you are free to...." here, the secretary sighed, "Remain to ask any questions. But please leave, really."

Only half the students at the assembly left, it seemed like others had something lingering in their minds.

OOC

- At this point your student can ask a question - simply QUOTE me and voice the student's question. Arel may or may not icly answer the question.
- Also your student can talk amongst each other but please QUOTE anyone they talk or ask questions to
- HORSEMEN: If you have a heir here, this is the first time you've heard of this news too. Why did you not get a memo??

Mmm. Riley retrieved her hand and turned it to look at her long, clawed fingertips, while Invictus responded to her. Correct, as always. I will admit I never expected an apology. So I'm sure that when we do get a chance to be together, there will be much to say.

She did not miss his comments towards Zar, but when he turned to look at the paperwork demon, Riley remained straight and poised towards Invictus. She did not seem worried - or even unhappy - about Zar's presence, his attitude, his opinions. Perhaps he wasn't worth her time. Or, more likely, he was simply uninformed. This was the most tragic of true sins, for someone like Riley - but one that is easily remedied, on their own time.

He would have his chance at redemption, should he wish it. Now was not the time, nor the place to care.

Christof's arrival unnerved Riley for just a moment, but she reached out for him -and then instantly retracted the hand. No, she reminded herself. I am fine, just getting to know our new students. Come, sit with us Christof. I am sure the assembly is going to-

It happened before she could finish her thought, and she gave Invictus one final nod before sitting down politely in her seat, and listening to all the assembly had to offer.

At the end of the speech, Riley looked.. surprisingly unhappy. Her eyes were swiveled down in thought, however, so it was hard to tell. But her brow was thick with worry, and her face looked quite displeased.

Did you know of this? Her thought seeped out to Invictus, as a whisper. It wasn't private, but it was very soft.

Shehk's touch made him jump, fins flattening against his body. It was a standard reaction for him now. Where before he would open and stretch his fins as wide as possible to look bigger, now he did his best to look small. Insignificant. Worthless and not worth anyone's time. He flinched as she kissed him on the cheek, looking at her surprised. That was something he was not expecting.

"I," he began, taking a deep unnecessary breath and letting it out again slowly before trying again. "I guess. But... It's... It's hard, isn't it? It sounds easy, but it isn't." He was about to say more when the ickycom screeched, the undead boil flinching yet again until the sound ended.

After the announcement, Merope sighed. "It's too late to ask you to blow this for me now, huh?" Merope asked Shehk, reaching under his jacket and passing her something. He didn't seem inclined to move anywhere anytime soon, not with the Student Council member's arm still around him.

She was having issues not giggling. The she-wolf kept glancing between the phone and the duo some rows in front of them. Really, she and Fell had great seats to witness everything. And the text responses just made it so much better! Especially the current one that clearly was from Ren. No one else ever called her 'wolflove'.

LW easily handed the phone back over, wrapping her arms around her legs as she leaned in to see what Fell typed. Then hid her face against her knees as she started laughing.

"Oh...you are terrible!" This said as a compliment. At this rate, their giggling would draw the boils attention soon. Maybe. LW's eyes flickered over her knees towards her boilfriend again.

I'll make it up to him. She silently vowed. But first, she was going to have fun teasing the boils with Fell! At least until they were busted anyways.

Of course, the loud screeching sound of the ickycom and Arel's voice follow just flat out hurt her ears. To the point she was surprised they weren't bleeding. LW curled up more in her seat, glowering towards the speakers. One she obviously knew (has all students knew who Arel was). The other...well she wasn't sure she liked him. And what he said. Why...? It was curious. Why would the horesemen....

"What do ya say? Do we flee? Or hang around and see if anything...exciting happens?" LW asked, looking over at Fell.

Zar watched Invictus' interaction with Riley and mentally recoiled from it, he tended to see any genuine tender action as a farce, taking the whole interaction as a direct dig at him. Parade the connection around for all the sheep to see, none of them are bright enough to tell what is really going on. Well he certainly could, he could see it all laid bare and plain, he wouldn't be fooled the same way the others appeared to be. He had no idea he was merely building his own walls ever higher.

"My accusations will be made public in my own time, via my own means. I don't go through biased channels. And I don't think channels /get/ more biased" he had to force himself not to coward out of his own assertions, still distinctly intimidated by the heir in front of him, even without the knowledge of his kind, but outwardly at least he managed to maintain his cold demeanour.

And there was Christof. One student Zar really wasn't sure what to make of, it was hard to judge anything about someone when you couldn't actually speak with them, he seemed pleasant enough certainly..but... oh wait. He was looking at Riley TOO.

Well. Jack. How many people were in on this?

He could only stare though as the assembly started and turned out to be...hugely baffling. He had no idea who the four clans were, oblivious to the similarity of the visitor's outfit to that of Invictus. What he could say was rather icily to himself, rubbing his temples.

"Yes, lets impress the oddities so we can protect the school from its own students." He could only assume Arel and the administration were in on this too.

As the speech began, Christof took a seat at Riley's feet like a protective guard dog, complete with growling directed only at Zar.

It would seem his target of contempt had shifted from Jericho, at least. For now.

Nuru tried to glare in reply. Trrriiiieeed. But he was too much of a sucker. Grunting as he turned in his seat finally giving Shehk a break. His interest drawn back at the proffered hand and he took it.

"Don't expect me to ever remember that surname, let alone pronounce it." Well, at least he was honest.
"and.. uh.. yeah, Nuru, thanks?" Damn she moved fast and like that she was off comforting her friend.

He shrugged. At least he wasn't called a puppy again as he distractedly tried to groom the fuzz on his ear straight again after having been touched by a stranger.

Still he smiled more properly at Jericho this time. Fingers still running down the back of his own ear.

"Pleasure meeting you too and hmm... how will Ah know them when Ah see them?" He honestly wanted to know, he didn't quite fancy a lot of the terrible things people were saying happened to them to happen to himself.

It was about then his train of thought was completely derailed by the loud painful screeching of the ickycom and what was said that followed. A good majority of it going completely over his head. He wasn't very knowledgeable about the horsemen or anything to do with them - he still didn't even notice the one sitting in their midst. He simply shrugged and turned to Zar.

"Are you going to ask anything?" He asked curiously.

For a long while, he didn't even look at Yin as the other boil held out his hand to shake. No, West was looking at the kid with the owl. Wow, it was like his birthday or something! At least until Lark went and plopped her big ol' butt in all the grrrrr. LARK!

The demon rolled his eyes then grabbed and shook Yin's hand. "West." He leaned back in his seat again, finally turning his attention to their visitor on stage as Arel began to speak. "One might not," he muttered, "but I don't see anythin' wrong with it."

He fought the urge to yawn as the secretary introduced the strange new demon, but things became more interesting when this... Horseman?... mentioned protection. As much as West hated to admit it, lately it seemed this school could use a little more of it.

"Amrita," Ash said, as warm as his voice got (with a secret smile underneath his helm. "You've changed. I can no longer see your head from underneath my helm-- a new body, I presume? Does it fit any better, my friend?"

In the short moments that he was distracted by his undead companion, a...girl had her arms and hands and tiny little fingers all over Thackery.

He bristled, visibly, helm turning sharply to face the kitsune head on. A low growl emanated from beneath the helm, fanged teeth bared underneath the metal-- fortunately hidden.

A white gloved hand slipped into Thackery's smaller one, interlacing their fingers with a careful deliberation he always had when around the cerberus boy.

But...This was the girl Thackery sometimes muttered about when he thought Ash couldn't hear. Interesting.

Putting on a polite face, since she DID seem to legitimately feel distressed about upsetting Ash's boilfriend, he offered her his free hand.

"Henry Ashford Charles the third," he said gravely, nodding once. "A pleasure to meet you, Miss."

But then, the ickycom came alive with the voice of the ...apparently horseman. Ash had no questions; but he was interested in the ones any other student had. He had not paid nearly enough attention in the last few months.

Willow had slinked in and found a slightly less populated place to plant herself so she could watch the assembly. Being in a large group of students like this didn't only make her nervous, but she'd rather go and hide under the bleachers until they were done.

However, important assemblies were important and she like the rest of the student body attended them. She was playing with her tail trying to smooth it out after each screech of the icky com. Like nails on a chalk board she gritted her teeth and waited for it to be over before shooting a glare towards the icky com and not the staff member holding it.

When she finally managed to straighten her tail she looked over to the ambassador of the horsemen and then her eyes moved towards the clans members they knew. It was odd to hear them wanting to join amityville, though the four she knew while a bit twisted seemed okay so in all her outlook of the clans were positive and hopeful.

She seemed to be considering questions she could ask and the amount of importance each of them held. Eventually there was one question she couldn't rationalize to go away and her hand rose as she looked at Arel. "Excuse me, but should we be expecting the Clan's Ambassador to be visiting our classrooms while they're here?" It might've been a stupid question, but if they were going to have to mind manners or what have you. Willow wanted to know what to expect, this way at least she could at least act like she wasn't bothered by large crowds.

"OH YES, I ran for office! I was running for Public Retaliations you know, only I found out afterward that that is not a thing? Thanks, I like my coat too. My name is Cady-"

Snow.

Cady froze as the image of the HORRIBLE, TRICKY wet-but-not-wet stuff flashed through her mind. She shuddered. At first, it had seemed so fun, so innocent - so in typical fashion she dived into a giant DRIFT of it. She waded out the other side a few seconds later, wet and freezing. She'd been wearing the rain coat ever since, and spent the rest of the holiday locked up somewhere far away from the outside, and thus had missed all the, erm, 'festivities'.

"NO. NO SNOW IS BAD," she replied loudly and insistently.

She listened then as Arel began his speech, and couldn't help but quip at the end,

"BUT WHY ARE THERE ONLY FOUR ANYWAY? WE HAVE OTHER STUDENTS HERE WHO ARE HORSES RIGHT? RIGHT?" She asked, turning to Isra.

Sitting down besides Riley, Jericho furrowed his brow at Nuru, thinking of how to explain.

"It's.. not easy. In their.. 'true forms' they look like reapers with fancy weapons. It's more complicated than that though. But.. if you feel like your FEAR is getting sapped? That's the big sign." he murmured quietly.

Turning his attention to the speaker, Jericho was definitely surprised to hear this news. This... was a good thing? Maybe? Getting help from the four clans sounded like it'd be helpful. He was just surprised Riley didn't mention anything of this, figuring that she'd pick something up from Invi at some point.

"What exactly are the qualifications?" he asked the speaker.

Invictus seemed to give Zar no further interest, even as the exchange with the stranger suddenly began, his attention suddenly caught as he looked up at the demon, his eyes narrowing. His attention turned to Riley for a moment, Invictus actually seeming like he hadn't been expecting this to be happening, and not very happy about this by any means.

The corners of his lips pulled taught, a visible frown on Conquest's face as he folded his arms behind him.

"He's from my clan." he answered, "I was able to suspect that much, but this..." His attention was sharp on the envoy who was from his own home - closer to his home than he would have ever pegged anything to be. It was his place of origin, and Invictus seemed very displeased to have been left out of the loop. Were any of the girls there?

He passed a look around, before his attention turned sharply up towards the stage;

"And when were you planning on telling us about this? I assume by exchange, you will be sending some of our own to them, so students now should be thinking about if they want to spend some..time away from the school, yes?" It was clear the 'us' was him and the other three, his tone not exactly angry, but there was a certain stress in it.

"It is. I find myself struggling with it the more I lose." she agreed.

Shehk's ears flicked back as the ickycom screeched as well, her ears sensitive to the horrible noise, but listening as the announcement was made, frowning lightly. That..sounded like some potential iffiness, and it sounded like one of the heirs had already piped up about it.

She wondered if it was safe for him to actually pipe up..then again, he was an heir..that made him important, right...?

As Merope handed her the strange item, she looked over it. "It's...kinda limp and looks like my teeth might not be too nice too it, but if I'm really gentle I can manage blowing this for you." she agreed, settling back in her seat as the questions began to float about, popping the tip of what Merope had asked her to blow into her mouth and setting to work with it carefully.

Evelyne-Aglaya had arrived a little late to the assembly, as she was still trying to get herself full acquainted with the large campus. But she'd overheard some murmurings of the assembly in the hallways, and had attentively listened to the announcement, since she was quite the studious type always wanting to know the happenings and going-on's. It sounded exciting!

When she made her way to the gymnasium, the two individuals on the stage were already taking their turns on speaking. Not wanting to interrupt, or cause a distraction, she simply stood at the doorway, and slunk in quietly to stand against the wall within the large room. Her moths dotted along her body wavered their wings at a slow pace, mirroring the same calm composure that their host held. Covered eyes were locked onto the unknown figure that now took the stage's front, perking up a bit with clear interest. She'd heard of the trouble that'd went on just before her arrival to the school, but didn't have all the details. Her parents had even been a bit worrisome of the fact... but she was determined to attend their alma mater, and wasn't at all phased by the ill-tidings that might be included. Those last words really struck a chord in her though... Worthy? What did that mean? The moths on her body fluttered a little briskly for the briefest of moments, calming as the speakers came to their concluding words.

Questions... oh yes, she had one or two... As students began to disperse, or sit and simply chat amongst themselves, Evelyne-Aglaya started to walk down one of the aisles, giving a few 'excuse me's' and 'pardon me's' along the way. Confidence was in her step, as well as grace and trained poise. She strolled right up to Arel, smiling in her usual charming way, "Excuse me, sir. But, how will we be evaluated in our worth?" she asked in a casual manner. Her gaze lifted to the cloaked figure as well, seeing if they might have overheard her question as well, clearly not afraid to ask. It was reasonable question, surely!

Another screeching sound sent the green eared Hellhound into howls of pain, like nails on a pink chalkboard or worse, humans using markers on a dry erase board. it was a horrible sound that made Demi just want to crawl under Thackery and hide.

Oh crap, that was right, he basically just practically howled in the boil's ear! The mutt widens his eyes at the horror and went about petting at the less pink dog's ears in apology for his cries. "Ack, Jack's bells, sorry about that, ears are still in pain." he apologized lamely, his own ears folded up in embarrassment.

however his attention was stolen once the feedback squeals died down to a more reasonable level and they began the assembly. and Demi couldn't help but wonder, why wasn't bul in the crowd? Even with his green, bright eyes; the ren tint of the half beast was normally easy to pick out.

But there was no red in the crowd. :< Words began to drone together one he began to type furiously into the eyephone, he had to look out for his best non canine bud.

Text to Bul
Hey hey Dude, where are you? You're missing the Assembly, even if they are being boring. neutral Talking about the partnership of the clans with the school and stuff in case you were wondering.

uh...

There was still more on his mind, but Demi had to take careful precautions to curl up closer to his device as he sent the next message.
Text to Bul

Ps: Are you and Mei alright, or did she whoop your butt after you hit her? is that why you're not here? Its ok Boil, you can talk to me, i won't tell no one.

I hope you two can work out this argument. :<
