Nathan stood stunned as the sword missed his head by mere inches. He had no idea what was going on. He didn't mean any harm and this madman was accusing him of being a member of a Dark Guild? Nathan gulped and tried to find his words. "Um.. I'm terrible sorry for intruding.." he started in a soft tone, "My name is Nathan Cooper. I was wondering if I could speak with the head of this Guild about joining?" This Guild obviously wasn't very good with first impressions, he decided they must be better than that. He didn't feel comfortable about entering, especially with that psycho maniac staring at him with those crazed eyes, so he stood at the door awaiting a reply. Rein jumped as she heard the sound of the sword hitting the door and the commotion of the Guild members, and looked over to see a young man with silver hair standing at the doorway. She listened to him introduce himself, he was well-mannered and he seemed nice. Of course, because of her shyness to new people, she kept quiet when he asked for Master Makarov and waited for someone else to pipe up and help him out.

William opened his eyes at loud clatter and sounds. "What now?" he muttered softly. His red eyes were unusual for any kind. And those unique pair of eyes were scanning the Guild ground. He joined this loud mage group..just becuase he felt like being in a group. Not that he like being around or among people. William started to stretch around and hoped on to the floor from the high window shelf. But as he jumped off, a flower pot that was on the window with him, fell down. Just before it crashed down, into pieces, William caught it, placing it gently on the wooden table. When he checked it was safe, he slowly raised his eyes to meet a stranger with silver hair. Odd. Will smirked. And he liked things that were odd. William stood up, and walked to him.
"Hello. having trouble with Grantes? Don't mind him...He just got heated up" he finished the sentence awkwardly, but quickly finished it off with a smile. He pulled his hands out of his jeans, and waved him over, so that he would follow him. With one graceful move, he walked, no slid across the surface of the hard floor, going over to the other side, where Master was. Currently with a girl with green hair and huge eyes that seemed innocent..and Devi. He simply, gave one knock on her shoulder so that he might be able to take the new comer to Master.

Nathan seemed surprised when the young man with brown hair approached him and offered to help. Now this was the Fairy Tail he'd heard so much about. "Thankyou for you're help. I very much appreciate this," he said with a smile as he followed the boy over. While walking to the other side of the Guild, Nathan scanned the place once more, making sure not to make eye-contact with him. He could see lots of beautiful women and strong-looking wizards scattered around the Guild. Minus a few 'mishaps', this is almost exactly how he'd pictured Fairy Tail.
Once they'd made it over to the other side, he spotted a small old man standing with two lovely girls. He looked very friendly with that little beany-hat he was wearing and that big smile spread across his face. Nathan could sense a great deal of Magic Power coming from him. He must be the head of this Guild Nathan thought to himself. As the young brown-haired man kindly gestured for the green-haired girl to move aside, Nathan stepped closer and introduced himself once more with a kind smile, "I'm terribly sorry if I'm interrupting you, my name is Nathan Cooper. May I please speak with the person who runs this Guild about joining?".

"Me? Having trouble with the applicant? No way! I'm as jolly as can be." Grantes said. He wasn't really that great with first impressions. In fact, 50% of the applicants that came his way either shivered in fear or ran at the very sight of him. He warms up to most people though. He was surprisingly very affectionate to female friends and like a brother in arms to the males. "My name's Grantes, kid. You join this guild, you become a comrade to me."He did his best to make amends and try to be sociable... To erratic degrees of success. Once, he accidentally scared a new female guild member so bad, she locked herself in her house for a week. Mostly because he camped out of her place just to say sorry. He burned her doors down eventually and did his thing. "I'm sorry about that idiot. I'm Mara, a new member of the guild as well. He warms up to you so don't worry. Just don't talk about Mercenary Guilds in a bad way around him and you'll stay in one piece. Good luck, applicant." smiled the female guild member who scolded Grantes to a motherly degree which was common sight in the guild.

Taura glanced at Theo when his response was given. "You wouldn't be the first." She told him, gesturing around. "Many people came here without hope or light, including Titania." She smiled at him, "You would be surprised how people can make the impossible possible." She told him with a smile, "And I will never regret what we have here." She nodded as she turned back to the situation at hand. Devi smiled at Angie's response. "Angelic... so that would mean like the heaven's right?" She asked, glancing at Celina. "I guess that would explain part of why you guys are so similar." Devi winked at Angie "The magic of the heavens," She smiled at she glanced at Celina who sighed a bit. "My magic is the celestial dragon slayer." She smiled, glancing up. "The magic of the stars, a heavenly magic." Celina explained as she glanced at Devi. She didn't have a problem with sharing, but she had a way of people in a position they didn't have much of a choice. Still, she loved her anyway. Devi sighed and rolled her eyes slightly at Erza, she was in her strict mood today. "I just got done fighting a dark guild, I have to recover my strength," She told her, waving her off. "A guild is about hanging out too, not just jobs." She pointed out, glancing at Grantes as he spoke again. "He's obnoxious..." She muttered under her breath, still not forgiving him for earlier, his assassin attitude didn't calm her in the slightest. Devi smiled at Rein as she scratched the back of her head, "Yeah, sorry I haven't introduced myself before... I've meant to, but always seem to get distracted somehow..." She smiled a bit as she nodded. "My magic?" She asked. "It's kind of a two part magic." She told her with a smile. "It's distortion magic, which allows me to distort reality and to see the past and tentative future of anything I touch." She explained to her, lifting her hands to show her her glovelets she wore to keep her from 'seeing' the past and future of everything she touched. "Grantes! Would you stop attacking people. Please." She said simply, trying to keep her temper in check. There weren't very many people who got to her, but he was one of them already. "You're not even a member of this guild yet, control yourself." She told him, not even turning to look at him. As Nathen walked up the the master, Celina gently reached out, holding his arm to signal him to wait. "He's in the middle of another interview, you can speak to him next." She told him with a gently smile. "Today's a buys day, a lot of people are looking to join." She pointed out. "Why don't you wait here while they talk." She said, motioning to Devi, Theo, Rein and Taura. Devi glanced at Will as he tapped her on the shoulder, "Like she said, one at a time... even the master can only talk to one newcomer at once." She told him.

William just simply gave one smile at the silver haired new comer, when he flashed him a thankful glance. But smiling seemed awkward. He wasn't a happy kind of a person. Stretching his arms around, he soon stuck his hands back in his pocket and loomed over the female mage. Not that e wanted to. He was just a tall type that would come above most people. The girl with blond hair, Devi turned her head when he gave a slight tap, and told him that they should wait. Will eyes the girl carefully. He did see her few times, but never talked to her. He didn't like to talk with people. But this case seemed a bit different.
"That's fine. I don't want to hurry anyways. And I assume he wouldn't mind either" Will flashed a smirk after indicating to the silver boy. When he dropped his gaze back to the girl, he just shrugged and changed his gaze. His red eyes looked at the master. He did seem a bit busy...With a shrug, he leaned over the side wall crossing his arms, and waited patiently. Will quickly looked toward the new comer to check he was there. Will hoped that he wouldn't think that the Guild was a bunch of loud people. He didn't have much passion for it but atleast he cared. Angie's eyes rounded. A Celestial Dragon Slayer? Angie cocked her head. Bt quickly gave a grin with a hint of blush on her cheeks like a child who got ice cream on a sunny day."Really? That's amazing! Perhaps that's why I felt that your somewhat of a motherly feel. My mother is a Celestial Mage. I knew you had something special!" Angie bursted out. Her face was brightened, practically shining from happiness.Than when she caught a glance of a dark haired girl, who she thought that Devi called her Rein, she waved in a friendly posture. "Hello, there! My name is Angie. I just joined this guild..Nice to meet you Rein!" Angie said in a high bell tone. Her green eyes were luminous with excitement.
Angie turned her gaze, and landed on two guys. One with silver hair and one with brown hair. The silver one looked like he was a new comer. At least she wasn't the only one who is new. Perhaps she might get to know him more. Angie gave a warm smile instead of 'hello' and turned toward Devi once again.

Celina smiled at Angie's response. "Yeah, my magic's a little different than you're moms... I don't contract but... I deal in the same realm. In fact I'm the only one who has been able to stay for long periods of time in the celestial world." She smiled at her. "It's a pleasure you meet you, I'm sure we will be good friends." She told her giving her a small hug. Devi frowned as she looked at the boy, blinking as she stared long and hard at him. "I know i know you're name... give me a second to remember." She sighed as she rubbed her head. Devi always made an effort to know people's names even if she didn't know them well of not, they were her guild, and her friends. "Will!!" She suddenly shouted as she jumped up to look at him. "It's will right?" She asked with a bright smile. ((ooc. Angie does have to finish her interview with the Master... he asked her a quiestion she just has to answer wink ))

Nathan gave Grantes an awkward smile. Maybe he wasn't as bad as he thought, at least he made a nice introduction. "Ah, thankyou Mara. I think I can handle that much," he said with a polite smile. He turned his attention to the Master and made his way over.
"Oh, do excuse my ignorance, I apologize for interrupting," Nathan started politely, "Please, continue. I shall wait elsewhere until I may speak with him," he finished with a sweet smile and walked over to join the brown-haired Guild member. Nathan let his eyes wonder, and to his surprise, caught sight of a beautiful young girl looking over at him. She gave him a warm, cute smile and he couldn't help but smile back at her. She seemed nice, maybe he should introduce himself after he talked to the Master. It wouldn't hurt, and the more people he knew, the more enjoyable his time at the Guild would become.
Nathan listened to the blond-haired girl speak to his helper and discovered his name. "Will, huh? Short for William? Well it's nice to meet you, Will," he said with a warm smile and held out his right hand as a gesture for Will to shake it. He was glad he had made a friend even before he'd joined, for that he was grateful. He knew from this moment that if he did in fact join Fairy Tail, that he would enjoy every moment of it. Rein listened intently to Devi explain her magic. "Wow, your magic sound amazing! I'd love to see you use it sometime!" she said, her deep blue eyes sparkling. "My magic's just boring old Water Magic. Nothing too special.. I can do some pretty cool tricks with it though," she stated with an innocent smile spread across her face.
Rein felt someone looking at her, and caught the gaze of a green-haired girl looking at her. She listened to her introduce herself and replied in a happy tone, "Oh, hello! Yes, my name's Rein. It's nice to meet you too, Angie!" This girl seemed excited about joining, and as a member of Fairy Tail, Rein felt as though she should help this girl adjust to the life as a Fairy Tail wizard. "So you're new?" she started, giving Angie a welcoming smile, "That's great! I'm sure you'll fit in perfectly here!"
Rein heard Devi talking to someone, so she shifted her attention to her. She turned to see the silver-haired boy from before and another boy she'd only seen a few times in her time at the Guild. She felt that she should introduce herself to them. "Hello, my name is Rein Silverstone. It's nice to meet both of you!" she said in a soft, sweet voice, slightly bowing her head as she spoke.

Will gave off a laugh, when the girl, Devi, started to think hard to find his name. But he quickly caught himself. This girl seemed to make him smile too much. It didn't matter. She just was unpredictable to Will. William stood up from his posture and uncrossed his arms. He leaned over to Devi just a inch apart from her face, he whispered "Yes, Will. But my full name is William. It hurts to think that I was inconspicuous to you that you had to think hard.." Will went back to his previous position, flashing amused smirk at the girl.
His eyes darted back toward the new comer when he spoke again. Arching brows, he accepted the hand. "Glad someone recognizes my 'real' name." William said with a sigh. Though it was true he preferred Will batter than William. His full seemed too.. classical. With a shrug, he gave a quick shake. "What's your name Silver boy?" Will asked him, referring him to the nickname he have been using since he didn't know his name. but as soon as he spoke out the word, he ruffled his hair in slight embarrassment and awkwardness.
His mind was distracted when he heard a voice below, He looked down to find a dark haired girl. "Hello, Rein. I thought that you might never speak" Will said sarcastically, giving her a friendly grin. Angie's eyes went huge. Staying in the Celestial World was a hard thing to do..or at least that was what her mother would say. After her mother go and come back from the Celestial Worlds, she slept all day because she was so tired. "You must be strong..I hope one day that I can see your magic on air" Angie said with a shy smile hinted across her small, pale face. Angie let out a small gape when she felt Celina hug her. It felt comforting. She let out a sigh automatically. "Thank you."
Angie ,once she was released from a warm hug, She noted Rein's words. She seemed nice enough. Yet she still haven't said her magic..Angie felt curious but gulped it down, for she thought it might be rude.
She looked at the master expectantly."So What do I have to do to join fairy Tail, Master?" she asked with confidence now.

"Actually, Devi, I AM a member of the guild." Grantes said as he lowered his pants just low enough to see the portion above his crotch where the Fairy Tail insignia was located. He did his job and made arrangements with the master who agreed to his terms. "You can ask Master Makarov about the arrangements of my membership." he said darkly but with a mysterious smile. Unknown to the majority of the guild, Grantes actually worked WITH the guild before he decided to join himself. He was in essence, a Sub-Contractual Fixer. Simply put, he fixed jobs in such a manner that they'd actually be doable to most people. Despite his rather bloodthirsty attitude, he was very skilled in surgical strikes and investigations. "Class B membership renders me eligible to do investigative quests right?" he asked as he took a piece of paper from the job board. "Master, I'd like to do this one. Dark Rituals and Dark Wizard wannabe sightings just north of here. Hopefully it'll shed some light on what I'm looking for."He was talking about his revenge against the Dark Guild that wiped out his former guild. It was the main reason why he joined Fairy Tail in the first place. He needed connections to the magical world and Fairy Tail, although reckless, provided enough connections to a menagerie of people. While not a pure magic user himself, he had his Time Magic which was rumored to be a Lost Magic. This fact about him was barely even known throughout the guild as well and he'd like to keep things that way. "Oh and new guy? Stand straight, be proud and stand tall. You're in the presence of good people. You'd do best to take pride in that."

Devi smiled a bit at Rein's response. "Don't worry, after you spend more time with the guild you'll probably see everyone's magic in action. We don't really try to keep it a secret." She winked as her. Celina smiled at Angie, "Even Celestial mages can only stay there for short amounts of time and are only allowed to go there under extreme circumstances." She pointed out to her. "I lived there for many years under the training of the Celestial Dragon. Much like a spirit trying to stay int his world for too long, you can last quite a while before your life is threatened, and my magic protects me from that." She told her with a small smile. Devi smiled at Nathen. "You don't have to apologize, you didn't notice." She said before glancing around the rest of the guild for a second. "There are people here who would even interrupt knowing he was in the middle of something, so not harm done." She assured him, turning to look at Will as he spoke, not even flinching as he neared to face. "Well, that is what Will usually stands for, William it just long." She told him, apparently not using full names unless it was strongly preferred. "It's don't blame me, it's you who chose not to get to know me better sooner." She teased him. The master turned to look at Angie as she turned back to him. "I just have a couple questions." He told her. He turned to look at Grantes, "Just check it in with Mira, I have something to do." He told him as he stood up on the counter. "Let's go somewhere a bit quieter." He told her, leading her to a doorway and into his office. As they arrived he smiled. "Take a seat, want anything to drink?" He asked her. "Don't worry there aren't any right or wrong questions, i just want you to feel comfortable talking without a ton of people around." He told her. Meanwhile Devi turned to look at Grantes spoke. Her expression changed slightly. "I see..." She said, "Well, I guess I can't go against the masters decision, sorry for my rudeness." She told him, nodding her head slightly. "You'll have to pardon my discontent for your bloodthirsty and mercenary attitude though." She told him simply. Taura smiled a bit at the group, "I hope you find what you're looking for." She told Grantes with a nod. She turned to look at Angie with a reassuring smile. "You'll to great." She told her gently.

((Merry Christmas everyone. I'm having Grant go on a quest. If anyone feels like it, they can join him... And feel free to commandeer Mirajane. I just played her out since nobody's officially taken her yet. Anyhow, everybody have a great day, get drunk, have fun and most importantly: get laid. blaugh )) "Right. Have a nice day, Master." Grantes smiled as he went about his business and did a bit more looking at the quest board. He wasn't too keen on Job Levels but Fairy Tail made it a point to filter the ones that are very hard to do. He'd probably go and try to get promoted after some time. Until then, he'd just go about the guild, doing all the jobs that made use of his skill set. "Mira, what can you tell me about this quest?" Grantes asked as he set the piece of paper down in front of Mirajane. Despite her size and cheerful demeanor, she was actually an S-Class mage and quite feared and respected by the guild. How her magic works and how people feared her power still eludes him and that's what makes him interested in her. "Well, that's about a Dark Ritual being performed by cultists. It's usually because of a small time Dark Guild but who knows, maybe someone else is pulling their strings. Are you sure you're going to do this job? The client seems shady but the pay is 20000 Jewels." Mira said, throwing Grantes a concerned look as she knew his true purpose and a bit of his past. "Anything that gets me closer to finding answers is okay with me." he answered. "Don't you wanna know more about questions that bother you every single day of your life?" "Well, if it won't endanger-" "Everything is constantly in danger. I know it, you know it, the people who've been in the business know it too. So, is that all you're gonna tell me? That's all you know?""Well, I'd say that's all but I'd like you to actually take someone along with you. Everybody in the guild knows you and how fearsome you can be. They even know that you're one of the few people that can actually talk back to Erza and get away with little to no scratches at all." "I like being alone. I don't think about anyone else and stuff." "Take someone along with you. Please, this is a guild, we're supposed to be comrades. You can even take applicants and new members with you."Grantes sighed as Mirajane looked into his eyes. The crazed look in them was already gone and replaced by serious ferocity. Still, they pierced through his soul and she knew that being with someone else just reminded him of wounds from the past. But he was in a guild now and no longer an independent entity working alongside Fairy Tail. "Fine... Fine, I'll do it." Grantes said as he stood up to face the guild. "Okay boys and girls, I'm going on an Investigative Quest and I'm taking up to three companions. Those who want in, come to my place in the corner west of the guild." he announced, earning looks of surprise from everyone. This was the first time Grantes actually offered to bring someone along. "I'm taking applicants and recent members as well... As Mirajane requested. The reward is 20000 Jewels. We get a 10000 Jewel bonus if we get on the client's good side too. Further questions, refer to Mirajane and don't hit on her. Respect her or die."

Will stuck out his tongue at the blond girl as she spoke. Acting tough is she..? "But I wouldn't really blame you..I do prefer Will better. William is way too classic" he added with a disgusted face. Will rolled his eyes when Devi told him he should have chose to know her better earlier. "Of course. It's 'MY' fault.." he muttered. His eyes wondered off to the master who seemd to be busy..still. He simply let out a huff and sat down on the ground, crossing his legs. He did not like to wait too long. But what can he do? Nothing..exactly. "Do you have something to do? Cause I would sure like to do something before I get bored out of my mind waiting for master." Will commented, facing Devi. Angie nodded thoughtfully memorizing the information Celina was giving her. It seemed to be useful. When she turned around, she saw master indicating her to follow. "Okay" she answered and started to follow him. When Angie spotted Taura in her way, telling her that she would do great, she gave a small blush at such compliment and quickly gave "Thank you, Taura" before following Master again.
Once she sat down at the table master sat he started to give her questions. With one gulp she listened carefully. When he offered a drink, she accepted it, since she did felt thirst from all the nervousness. "I do feel comfortable now, master" she said.

Silver Boy? That was the first time anyone had called him that. He wasn't sure if he like the sound of it, so he decided not to draw attention to it. "I'm sorry for not properly introducing myself. My name is Nathan Cooper," he said with a smile, releasing his hand from the hand-shake.He shifted his attention to the young girl with dark brown hair when he heard her speak. "How lovely to meet you, my name is Nathan Cooper," he said with a bright smile.
Nathan heard Grantes talking to him, referring to him as 'New Guy'. He simply gave him a smile and said, "But of course. I have realised this myself and do not intend to spend my time at this Guild any other way," and watched him walk off. The more Nathan talked to this man, the more he began to like him, and that's how he liked it. He hated having grudges against people and always tried to find the good in them, thankfully Grantes had shown him the less-violent and more nice side of him.
Nathan leaned back and listened to Will and Devi chat away. He couldn't help but smile at them bicker playfully and tease each other. If he hadn't known better, he would have thought they were long-time friends. He smirked at Will's comment about him being bored. He obviously didn't have a very long attention span. "Well, if you're interested.." he started, "would you like me to show you what kind of magic I use?"
Rein gave them both a small smile. She'd met a lot of people today, which was unusual for her because of her shyness. She only knew a few people in Fairy Tail before today; she was pretty friendly with Juvia, it was pretty hard to hold a conversation with her though, since she'd always turn in into a rivalry over Gray, and Rein would always have to somehow get away. Her and Gray got along fairly well, though she was always very shy and nervous around him. And she could at least hold a conversation with Natsu and Lucy. She thought she got along with Loke the most, though. She really enjoyed talking to him and felt relatively comfortable around him.
Her mind was wondering off again, she blinked a few times and came back to reality. She listened to Devi, Will and Nathan talk and smiled occasionally when she found something they said amusing. When Nathan offered to show them the type of magic he used, she felt herself get slightly excited. She kept quiet though, waiting for someone else to say whether or not they were interested.

Devi smiled at Will as he spoke again, "Exactly." She told him, at his second comment she grinned, "You catch on quick." She joked with a wink, frowning a bit as he seemed to grow bored in moments. "Well that's your problem, there are plenty of people here to talk to, you're just choosing to be bored." She pointed out to Will. As Angie settled herself he smiled, jumping up onto his desk and sitting on top of it with his legs folded in front of him. "I just have one question for you, take and little or as much time as you would like to answer." He told her, "Why is it you want to join fairy tail?" He asked her, crossing his arms over his chest and closing his eyes to give her a chance to think without being rushed. It was a a simple question, but he left it open to her to divulge as much about her magic and past as she wanted to share, or didn't want to. It wasn't her magic or experience, but her heart that he was looking at. Celina smiled as she glanced over at Nathan. "If you would like to, i think we would all love to see it." She said, her voice soft and chime like as he offered to show them. "I think it wouldn't hurt to show off some magic since we have so many new members and unfamiliar friends." She pointed out. ooc. by the way... I'll bring Loki back in in a bit, he's on a quest lol wink
