[ Luke : Beneath the Well : B1 ]
Luke shrugged and walked toward the brown chest. "Okay then." He grabbed the lid with both hands, one hand on each side, and slowly lifted up. After it was high enough, he pushed it open the rest of the way. He then peered inside and reached a hand to grab the contents. "It's... a piece of paper," he said, pulling the paper out. He unfolded it slowly and carefully, and soon realized that it was a map. He found easily enough that they were in the area marked "B1". But according to this, the door behind them led to the room they had already been in, before the room with the Acheman and Mole Mitts. It also had a much bigger area aside from B1, but it was completely blank at the moment. So, they had to reach this floor...? His mind suddenly shot back to the oddly colored circle of stone beneath the water.
"The water's drained now!" he shouted excitedly. Without saying anything else, he quickly spun around and ran toward the door. He bent down and opened it slowly, then called for his friend. "Come on, Phy! I think I know what to do!"

[ Phyela : Beneath the Well : B1 ]
Phyela, slightly dumbfounded by Luke's sudden outburst, simply shrugged and followed him through the door. True to his word, the water was drained, which made the river in the room before become a small dip, just like the trench the door was in. Her attention was immediately grabbed by the dirt seen throughout the previous rooms. She walked over to it, and stared down, before turning to Luke. "Alright, get to digging, Mole-man." she steped away from the patch, so as not to get hit by anything once Luke started.

[ Izzy : Deku Mine : B1 ]"Wow..." was all Izzy could say, after watching Felin's impressive performance against the monster. He then snapped to attention and immediately did as she said, as if they were military orders. He heaved open the treasure chest and found.... some odd, fan-like thing? He picked it up and examined it, not quite understanding what this item was for. It was made of some sort of strong wood, with a handle on the bottom and a small pipe on one side. The other side had three fan-blade-ish objects, shaped like huge green leaves, which, he discovered by messing with it, spun around much like a fan or propeller. He tried blowing on the pipe like an instrument, and the propellers spun around at a surprisingly fast speed, causing a powerful gust of wind to spread from the contraption and shoot outwards in front of him. His eyes popped wide open, and he nodded. "Nice... Pretty nifty, I guess, but... What is it FOR?" Forgetting about the odd item for the time being, he ran to Felin's side, placing his hand gently on her shoulder. "Are you okay? Do you want to rest for a moment?"

[ Felin : Deku Mine : B1 ]
Felin looked at Izzy with a sarcastic glare. The question was rather rhetorical, as she was still huffing and puffing. She then looked away, towards the wall, but subsequently, into nowhere. Akin sat on the Kokiri girl's head. "I think it would be best if we let Felin regain her strength first before proceeding onward."

Izzy nodded his understanding slowly, and, after looking around the room for a moment, sat down. He didn't worry at all about the Popos, seeing as how they were staying by the floor switch, moving around it in their odd pattern, much like a slow dance. He did glance back at them for a moment, trying to figure out exactly what their purpose was, but he eventually shrugged and looked back to Felin.

[ Luke : Beneath the Well : B1 >>> B2 ]
"Mole-man, eh?" Luke laughed as he ran farther into the room, dropping into the trench and approaching the circle of oddly colored stone. Without thinking twice about it, he scraped the claws of his mitts together, and they came to life, helping him dig, down, down, down....
Eventually, he reached a ladder, which led down the rest of the way to the lower floor; but he failed to grab it in time after his digging ended, and he found himself plummeting to the ground. "YaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!", he yelled, and let out a painful groan when he hit the bottom his legs yelling at him with a throbbing pain. He then fell over onto his back, and decided to stay there as long as he possibly could.

[ DM Post : Beneath the Well : B2 ]
The first room in Basement 2, which Luke has none-too-gracefully fallen into, is rather small, perimeter-wise, but the floor drops off into a twelve-foot-deep pit. A door is on the other side of the pit, but at a higher level that cannot be reached just yet. This can be fixed by pulling the lever on the north wall of the room, which will raise the water level, filling the pit with enough water to swim across to the door.
As for monsters, there are two Pols Voice on the high part (where Luke fell in). As the Hylian boy takes a while to lie down and recuperate, these creatures waste no time, moving in for the kill immediately...

[ Phyela : Beneath the Well : B1 ]
Phyela comes down into the room via the ladder, and looks down at Luke. "You gonna lie there all day or what?" t was then she noticed two new creatures slowly heading towards them. Phyela began to panic, and rustled Luke, "Come on, get up, we've got company!" It seemed the boy wouldn't listen, so she took matters into her own hands, and as one leapt at her, she swatted it with her wand. However, she didn't do any damage at all, though she did knock it back a few feet. She did the same thing to the other one, before testing her magic. She fired some ice at them, but they quickly broke free each time. She was getting scared as they continued to creep up on the two. "Back off!" she shouted, hoping her yell might intimidate them, though with monsters, such was not the case. However, these two covered their faces with their ears, trembling for a brief moment before attacking again, to which they were swatted away. Phyela took a moment to figure out just what triggered them to cower in fear like that. Was it her yell? She examined them closer, and noticed their ears were quite large. Maybe they were sensitive. "HA!" she yelled, and they trembled again. "Hey, Luke, see if your mitts work, my ice isn't doing anything."

[ Luke : Beneath the Well : B2 ]
Luke jumped up from where he was and whacked the nearest rabbit-like enemy with his pole staff. It didn't seem to do any damage, so he tried attacking with the Mole Mitts. These seemed more effective than the staff, but not by much. Then he remembered that Phy's shouting seemed to hurt them - or at least scare them. "Oh!" he exclaimed, slapping his head. "I feel like an idiot! I can't believe it didn't come to me sooner."
As he quickly sidestepped, barely dodging the creature hopping toward him, he reached both hands to his chest, where his green pendant ocarina rested, hanging from the chain around his neck. He brought it up to his lips, and, without covering any of the holes with his fingers, blew into it, creating a loud, extremely high-pitched note, which he held for quite a few seconds. The monsters began to tremble yet again, and before he had even stopped playing, both of them suddenly exploded in a burst of flame and smoke. Luke lowered the ocarina from his lips with a surprised look, and suddenly started laughing incredulously. "Well, that worked better than I thought!" he said with a smile. He then turned to Phy and scratched the back of his neck. "Sorry if I hurt your ears there..."

As the two Kokiri are resting, they suddenly hear the sound of the unseen gate again, but this time, moving down. Once they hear the sound of it clamping shut, the switch in the room they are in pops back out of the ground, ready to be pressed again.

[ Phyela : Beneath the Well : ] Luke's blast on the ocarina startled and deafened the witch. She saw his lips move, but didn't know what he said. "What?" she shouted, rather loudly at that. She turned to look at the rest of the room. "Hey, the enemies are gone!" yep, Luke deafened her, as she continued to shout. "Now how do we get over there?" she stuck a finger in her ear to try and clean it, or at the very least, recover her hearing. It seemed more than the rabbit things were sensitive to loud pitches. --- [ Felin : Deku Mine : B1 ] "What was that?" Felin asked, hearing something far off. She looked at Izzy, standing up, before her attention turned to the switch where the Popos seemed to continue to dance around. It was as if she had never pressed it in the first place. "That's weird..." did we take too long? They probably did, with her sideshow with the Popos and their assault on the Ropas, it was possible that they missed whatever had opened. In any case, now with the Ropas gone, they had an easier time seeing what the switch does. "You think it's timed or something?"

[ Izzy : Deku Mine : B1 ]
"I think so..." Izzy said, looking back at the switch. He got up and walked toward it, pulling a seed back on his slingshot and firing at the same one he had attacked earlier. The monster exploded in a cloud of dust, and he fired at the one next to it to clear more room. This one wasn't destroyed, but it did scurry away quickly, allowing him passage. "Nice to see we can come to an agreement," he chuckled, running forward. He stepped down on the switch with both feet, and the loud clicking sounded again, followed by the sound of a gate slowly opening, just like before.
"Well, let's check it out," Izzy said with a smile, running to the door. He lifted it up slowly, and this time it stayed open, just like the one before. Then, deciding to give Felin a bit more time to rest, he ran through the doorway back into the main room. After looking around a bit, he saw the metal bars on the North end of the room rising up, leaving a wide opening. "Interesting..." They would have to swim through the opening, of course... but they'd better do it before it closed again. "Hey Fel, it opened the grate in the water! And I think something's in there!" he called, before diving into the water yet again.

[ Felin : Deku Mine : B1 ]
Felin quickly checked the map, walking out of the room and minding the Popos. The door shut behind her, and she saw Izzy swimming to a room that was apparently to the north, in the water itself. Stuffing it away, she dove in, swimming to catch up with Izzy. Akin followed behind. She surfaced to find a weird room, and after reaching a spot of land, dug the map out again. The room was now etched in, unlike previous, where it was completely blank. Did it do that wherever they went?

Luke stared at the door on the other side of the deep, empty pit. "Hm... I don't know... Let's see, what's around here?" He looked around the room, and, to his dismay, saw another lever like the one on the upper floor. He let out a long sigh and walked over it. He then gripped his shoulder with one hand and moved the gripped arm in a circular motion, stretching it. After a few rotations, he switched to the other arm, then, once he was done stretching, cracked his neck and his knuckles, then grabbed the handle of the lever with both hands. "Okay, show me what ya got!" He gave a strong tug, and was immediately glad he had stretched; this thing didn't want to move any more than its predecessor. Oh well, it was going to have to!

[ Phyela : Beneath the Well : B1 ]
Phyela scratched her head, then saw Luke walk over to a small lever, but it didn't seem to want to budge. She cleared her ears out some more, and regained a bit of hearing-the sound of dripping water could be heard, among other things. Well, glad she was slowly recovering from the deafening blast of Luke's ocarina. She walked over to the lever, and put both of her hands on it, relatively close to Luke's. Whe he pulled, she did also, straining her muscles as she did so. She didn't seem to have a grip with traction, however, as her feet slid on the ground. She decided to freeze them, then try again. But still, it wouldn't budge. Perhaps we're not synchronized or something... she waited for Luke to give the signal before trying again.

[ Luke : Beneath the Well : B2 ]
Luke stopped pulling for a second, and let out a nervous laugh. "Sorry.... That was... all me. I don't think I timed it right. Let's try again, together. Ready? One... two... THREE!" He pulled hard on the lever, and this time it actually budged, though slowly, like its brother on the upper floor. The chain came out of the wall, little by little, until finally he felt a jerking snap of resistance that told him it would move no more. He then heard the same sounds as before, and turned around to see the pit filling with water.
"Awesome!" he exclaimed as he turned back to Phyela. "We did it! The water level is rising! We can get across now.... Ready for another swim?" He was sure that she wasn't, but he might as well try to keep the morale up.
