Lacie stepped back from the male hunter, looking unsure as he yelled at her. She was scared. But it was due to a bit of credit on her part that she didn't break down crying there considering how weak and timid she normally was. But then again, she had lived her entire life before coming to Halloween town being yelled and berated for her mistakes. Robert's yelling did not frighten her but his killing intent was enough to so do.
She couldn't keep with both Petra and Robert's attack, unable to move or even dodge with her glaive. Lacie choked up blood from the simultaneous hits, the liquid splattering across the tiles.
"You.." She managed to say the two of them before her golden hues lost their vibrancy. Her body no longer supporting herself, was thrown back from the momentum of blow, skidding across the tiles with a sickening thud. It was obvious that she wouldn't be a danger in the next few moments as her crumpled form laid there.
Even in all the commotion, Lacie didn't get up. Her eyes opened briefly to see the scene but why couldn't she hear anything? Everybody looked so worried.. Amrita, Raz, Remi. And the hunters were saying something. She wanted to reach out to reassure them but her hand could no longer move. 'I need to help them..' Her mind told herself but her body was incapable of carrying out their orders. 'Please don't hurt them any more..'
And her vision faded into blackness.
Her limp, and nearly unconscious, body judging from her pale pallor. It was very possible that her ribs might have been broken. She didn't even react as the explosion tossed her into the air, and charred her already damaged body, her glaive disappearing with her consciousness.
(Exit post for Lacie) Quote: Target: --- Damage: --- HP: Y1: 15/30 Fear: She wields ice. With a swing of her glaive, sharp ice projectiles will emerge and diverge upon the enemy. She may also, from touch or a short distance away, freeze small matter. But her ice will melt within a few minutes or easily break through strong force. In combat, it may only delay the enemy a few moments before they can break free.

The group finds themselves back in their human forms, their clothing torn and dirty (lookin' @ u, remi) in a.. what looks like a bedroom- but it is a rather.. large bedroom- or have they been shrunk? Apples, each one half the size of one of the students litter the floor, along with a small golden key, and some way away, there are five small, neatly-made beds. They look extremely inviting.
((SAVE POINT!! Each person may choose one bed to sleep on; roll 1d6 to determine how much hp is regenerated- multiply your roll by 10% and then round up if you need, eg. my total hp is 30, I roll a 2, my new hp = my current hp + 20% of 30hp. This only applies ONCE!))
Beside the smaller beds, there is one large bed; a lock of hair hangs down from it, allowing the students to climb up, should they so desire. A female ghost sleeps on the bed, occasionally tossing and turning, as if she were dreaming.
Opposite the beds, there is a walk-in wardrobe, its doors wide open. Inside it are a bunch of extremely frilly dresses and gowns, each one looking as if it was tailored specifically for a student. They're even coloured to match!
The 'main attraction' of the room, however, are two identical owl-shaped statues, standing beside a pair of bookshelves.
Upon seeing the group, they speak in unison:
“We are the guardians of the way onward.”
They fall silent. Then the one on the left speaks, “Both of these doors lead somewhere.”
“But it all depends on what you’re looking for,” the statue on the right chimes in, “If it is the way forward -”
“Oh! I know that one!” The one on the left interrupts. “It’s behind my door!”
The one on the right shakes its head. “No, it isn’t. You just want them to go through your door for your own amusement.”
“I am not!” The left statue retorts, “I’m only trying to help! You’re the one who is insisting on confusing them! Besides,” the statue turns towards the group. “Why don’t you lot pick?”
“It is your decision, after all,” the right statue adds with a nod. “Though you may wish to discuss it amongst yourselves; you must agree on one door, and must go through that door and only that door.”
“And we can’t tell you what’s behind the doors, either,” the statue on the left chimes in. “So don’t get any ideas! Just let us know which door you pick. And you can’t ask us any questions, either.”
The right statue says nothing, and watches the group expectantly.
There are, however, no doors in sight- but the group gets the feeling that perhaps, if they pull the right book out of each bookshelf, something may happen...
((OOC: Students need to climb the bookshelves- they're not big enough to just reach out and pull! There are FOUR shelves per bookshelf; each has 20 books on them. To climb each level, two students are needed: one to crouch down so the other can climb up, and the other pulls the one on the ground up. Roll 1d4 to see if the two of you manage to work together well enough- if your numbers match, you move up one level! Only one student needs to reroll, eg. student 1 rolls a 1, student 2 rolls a 4, student 2 can re-roll to get a 1 to match, while student 1 does not need to.
When you have reached the fourth shelf, pick a book and roll 1d20; if you get a multiple of 4, the bookshelf shifts to reveal a door! Not EVERYONE has to reach the top shelf in order for the door to be revealed! The door in question is student-sized, not room-sized, so you won't have to climb up to the keyhole to unlock the door.))

(( Entering! ))
Amrita trudged into the next room, her feet dragging as though her body was more than a deadweight (haha). The bloody ghoul took a look around, wondering if this room was too big, or if she was just too small. "What the jack is wrong with this place?" She commented idly to herself, her attention stopping at the smaller beds, the large beds with the climb-able hair, the wardrobe (which brought back uncomfortable memories of Etiquette class!), and finally stopped to stare blearily at the statues as they chattered between each other.
...Yeah, she wasn't in the mood to think. Someone else would have to decipher what they said and report back. Hrm...those beds though. They looked awfully inviting, even for someone whose preferred sleeping spot was concrete! But it was the wardrobe that caught and held her attention. Hrm. Wardrobes had clean clothes in them. Maybe more movable clothes. That would be nice, right?
Alas, upon further inspection, they were dresses. Ballgowns to be exact.
She hated ball gowns.
But she really didn't want to be in these torn up clothes of bad memories, either! After a long staredown with the unresponsive gowns, the Vetala silently made her decision.
By stripping wordlessly down to her bloody underwear, not caring who or what could be watching.

(Entering!)
Remi continued his merciless attempt to remove the goop from his jacket the entire way in to the next room. The stupid stuff even had the audacity to get in to the vest which at one point, was rather spiffy. Now? It just looekd like a horrible mess.
Still tugging on his sleeve, he was not looking in the direction of the ghoul whom had entered the room first. Walking in to the room, out of his peripheral vision the first thing spotted was the BEDS. Holy s**t BEDS.
Suddenly he walked towards one of the beds, and sat his goopy tush down on the sheets. If this house of horrors wanted to mess up HIS suit, he could mess up their damn sheets!
He noticed there was 6 beds. "Hey Amrita! There seems to be a bed for each of u-" That was when he finally caught sight of the girl. Whom besides a small scrap of clothing, was pretty much naked.
Girl. Naked. In. Room.
He felt the heat crawl up his face, starting from around his neck. Lets face it, Remi kept staring for a moment. He was a MALE after all. Then remember something in the bakc of his head, something that was screaming through the numb that appeared... it pretty much said Hey, dipshit, staring is RUDE. He dropped his gaze. Clearing his throat... he continued. "There is a bed for each of us."
Then flicking his eyes to the side... he stared in HORROR. Total horror... at the contents of the wardrobe. Five dresses. Not three dresses and two suits, no... dresses. All dresses. They were even color coded.
"No."

Amrita naturally turned when she heard her name, pivoting a bit to stare at Remi as he talked. Or rather, stared. Baffled, she just stared back, watching the colour creep up on his face. But the longer she stared, the more that weird feeling bubbled in the pit of her undead stomach, and she too ended up looking away, focusing her attention on the very interesting wardrobe. "A-Are you sure you're, uh, okay?" She asked quickly, leaning into the wardrobe just enough to grab the pink dress first, holding it up to her mostly naked, bloody form as though sizing it up. Yes, do anything but look at the boil that she gave her first kiss to without thinking. She wasn't even sure why it made her feel so weird, it was something she would have to look in to. She decided that the pink one was too small for her, and then moved to look at the blue ones; the dark one was too big, but the brownish dress? That one looked perfect. That was when she realized what he was pointing out to her, and she only glanced over her shoulder. "...Err...think it's safe to sleep in...?" She asked worriedly, looking over at the sleeping ghoul on the large bed, and then to the statues that had been talking. What if...what if something happened, and the Hunter-Humans attacked again? As she explained her worries, she started the tedious task of getting in to the ball gown, whining to herself the entire time. Once it was mostly on (just not zipped up, she couldn't reach that far back!), and looked down at herself, pursing what was left of her lips together. "...Ahh...uh, Remi...? Can I...ask something...?" The Vetala peeked over her shoulder at him, what was left of her brow knitting together hesitantly.

"Imfine." He said rather quickly, now laying on his back he was staring up at the ceiling which was REALLY interesting at the given moment...
"I think so." He said continuing on, not much of a pause between his last words and these. He was trying not to think too hard about things. "Either way, i think we need to get some sleep... we all were pretty messed up."
Humming a tune to himself, he stayed silent whole she was getting in to the gown. Only dating to peek out of the corner of his eye when he was addressed. "Mmm... Sure?"
The color looked good on her.

"If...if you insist." She murmured right back, still very interested in the dresses. Amrita eyed the beds skeptically once more, and then nodded hesitantly. "Yeah...I think that's a good idea. I'll...lay down when I get this, uh, working?" Hrm...maybe she should have used on, maybe? Oh well, the time had passed.
"Err, can you do me---" Amrita cut off abruptly, giving a little squeak that sounded suspiciously like 'up' and 'eek' as she stepped on the dress as she tried to turn around again, nearly tripping herself. She missed a word in her squeaking, but with a frown she stared at the long fabric as if it had betrayed her terrible and killed her parents.
"...And rip up this stupid dress!" She grumped, grabbing fistfulls of the brownish fabric while still pinning the top part to her with her arms. "It's too longgggg~"

"Can i..."
"....."
"....Whaaaaat?" He was fully awake now, coughing and blinking at her choice of WORDs, pulling himself up so he was sitting on the bed. The boil turned his head towards the ghoul, as the world went in to slow mo. He was putting 2+2 together, male style. Half naked, 'Doing', ripping up a dress... the.. what. WHAT? Uhm, abrupt much?
Quirking an eyebrow up, he looked the ghoul up and down for a moment... eyes settling on her dress. He saw the zipper then.
"OH". PHEW. He was just... over reacting. They had training to do! And it was not THAT sort of weight lifting good lord! Not that he was ever the type to refuse but, hey. She needed help.
Leaping off the bed somewhat, he stalked towards the girl and in a quick motion zipped up the back of the dress. "Um. Are you sure you want to make this shorter?" Lookign down at his hands, he knew his claws would be enough to tear the fabric but... "Be careful not to touch me either, no need to mess up your new outfit either."

Once she was sure she wasn't going to fall due to betrayal by fabric, she gave Remi a rather baffled stare. "...The, um, zipper...?" Her brow quirked, though he thankfully came to that conclusion on his own; she did draw all of her hair over her shoulder though, to make sure it didn't get snagged in the zipper. Pulling the hair out of the way also momentarily exposed the clean cut on both her neck and shoulder, where Madison's blade grazed her. Another motion where she wasn't sure why she did it; it wasn't like she ever wore dresses with zippers in the back.
It also never occured to her that she'd need to get out of this dress later.
"Th-thanks." She murmured, letting her bloodstained hair fall back over her shoulder. "Yes please...it's too long, I'll trip!" As proven earlier, and she still wasn't aware of her little uh, mistake in words. His attempt at keeping her clean was met with another baffled stare, followed by a roll of her eyes. "Remi." She said point-blank, turning to face him enough to put her hands on his shoulders and to stare up at him, no matter how odd she felt at the moment. "I'm covered in blood." She pointed out matter-of-factly; it would only take a single glance down to see the impalement wound on her chest, held together awkwardly by safety pins.
"Just...please? I..I don't care how short!"

[ Entering from Hub! ]
Slowly but surely, Xiu made her way into the room while supporting Lacie as best as she could. She was so distracted by the reaper's condition--ahh, poor Lacie had taken some violent attacks from two of those hunters before the explosion!--that she didn't seem to hear Amrita and Remi's conversation. In fact, it wasn't until her gaze flickered up was she even made aware of their presence.
And...ah. What had they...just walked in on?
Averting her attention quickly, Xiu cleared her throat in a loud and obvious manner in an attempt to announce their presence. That dress was being done up...right? And not...? Not that the latter case made much sense, but the baku's imagination tended to be a little overactive sometimes. Then again, considering what she had witnessed in the hub, it was obvious where these ideas had come from.
It might have also been a way to focus on something a little more positive than the fact that they had just nearly escaped from those hunters, and the possibility of what could have happened had it not exploded. Shaking this thought from her mind hastily, Xiu surveyed their new surroundings and perked up.
"Oh...beds! Lacie, did you want to rest for a while?" Her tail swished behind her as she looked anxiously at the reaper. Maybe it would be good if they all took a little break? After that, they could investigate the room some more. Xiu, for one, was interested in what exactly those long locks of hair led up to. She thought she could make out the noise of the large bed creaking as if someone was turning over on top of the mattress. As if someone was...sleeping?
Hmmm. "What's up there, do you know?" The question was directed towards the two second year students, and Xiu used her free hand to point up towards the large bed.

Sme of the red faded from his face as the boil realized her wording was a innocent mistake, part of him laughed at himself for his own mishearing. He wanted to laugh but, he decided to keep that to himself.
Boy was HE ever the fool.
Blinking down at the dress, he head tilted, a more canine move than human. "Well im sure that my claws can cut this, but trust me you do not want this too short." Remi could sometimes be a gentleman, ok!
Ears perking around, he heard the appearace of another teammate. "Sup Xiu!" He called over, kneeling down before the dress, and pinching the material between his fingers to feel the grade of fabric. Good stuff, shame to cut...but! Pulling the dress towards him, he pressed hard into the fabric and cut a horizontal line that hit her just above the knee. "I did not really explore much, as you can see i plan on resting a little at least." If xiu looked she would see a single bed that had red stains that matched the same on his now discarded jacket. Continuing the work while he spoke, he finished a second later, dropping the excess so it pooled around the feet of the ghoul. "There you go!"
Standing up, he look a step back and looked her up and down briefly. "A little uneven but, im no seamstress." He shrugged rather like 'eh!' No crying over spilt milk right?

Lacie nodded in response to Xiu's suggestion, falling upon one of the smaller beds. her breathing was a bit better than before as her body had a chance to relax and regenerate. When she finally spoke again, it was a question. "Xiu.. why are the doors speaking to us?" One of Lacie's eyes opened in question although it didn't seem as if she was curious about Remi's and Amrita's rather interesting interaction. She managed to peer over at her injured friends and say, "You look very pretty Amrita." She was worried for them but their interaction reassured her for a bit. If they were well enough to talk, they were all right.

"I don't?" She mused to the idea of not wanting it short. "Why?" She couldn't resist asking, not entirely sure why she wouldn't just want it cut almost entirely. Everything was covered that needed to be, right? The idea of modesty was something she was still learning. Regardless, Amrita stood as still as she could as Remi started to tear at her dress. When she needed to, she put a backwards hand on him, keeping herself standing as she needed to.
"I...I don't know. Looks like a sleeping ghoul to me." Amrita murmured, quite unaware of what Xiu was and what she could do. "The statues were talking about picking one and doors and...I'm...I'm really sorry I wasn't really listening..." The Vetala hung her head in shame. Then her attention moved to the cascading hair, that looked surprisingly climbable. "But...right now, I think we need to follow Remi and Lacie's lead, and rest first." Her gaze fell on Xiu then, staring at her as if to say If you listen to me just once today, please listen to me now.
A smile was turned to the somewhat rested Lacie, but it was shy and nervous, and she looked away quickly, picking at the design on the bodice of the dress. "Th-thanks..." She murmured quietly, embarrassed but touched. That was when Remi stood up, proclaiming to be finished. Ah! Yay! She would move! Her hips rocked from side to side for a moment, letting the torn fabric brush her patched skin. Ahhh, much better!
"Thank you, Remi!" She chirped, giving the sauce-covered boil a thankful hug before kneeling to gather up the fallen fabric. The fabric was put on the edge of her chosen bed, just before she sat down. "A-and now...we have fabric for bandages." She said proudly, patting the excess. "Take this chance...rest, bandage up...and we'll...we'll...we--" Her gray eye fluttered, her entire body swaying side to side before going completely limp and falling back on the bed, out cold.
