Boo, I'm The Boogie Man...

Toya/Madness
Soft Room

The Terrible, Horrible Boogie Man...

The town of Geterra was very peaceful at night. Darkness engolfed the small, humble place with the moon casting a weak light upon it. Toya absolutely loved everything about the place. When ever his urge to kill took over he'd go to places much like Geterra at night and made sure the people he didn't kill sang songs about him to their children. Most of the time he'd simply kill everyone. There was no pattern to what he did he just simply did it because he wanted too. The beast he was looking for was one of the many Chimera let loose onto the world. They were interesting creatures to Toya not because of what they were, but because of where they came from. Geterra was the last known sighting of a Chimera in Nocturne and their heads cost quite a penny to those involved in the Dark Arts. "Abel. Do you want to hear a riddle?" Toya asked as the two unholy beings followed the dirt road leading to Geterra. "There was once a woman. Her name was Elizabeth...Well her last name escapes me. Her mother, whom she loved very much, passed away." He grinned to himself before continuing. "At her mothers funeral, Elizabeth encountered a man. A man who she would later spend the night with. She was absolutely sure he was the one for her, but come morning and he was gone. He vanished from the face of existence. Then Elizabeth goes and kills her sister hahaha!!" Toya loved that part. He usually told the riddle to the people he tortured before killing them. "Why did she do it Abel?" Toya would give his victims one chance to get the right answer. "Why did she kill her sister?"

They had arrived in a small town called Geterra, Abel hated small places like these, no bars, no different people and nothing to do, he was a someone who enjoyed big cities with different people and different things to see all around not these boring old towns that farmers lived in, for Abel's luck they were not going to stay there for long, they were only here to hunt a creature called the Chimera, Abel had never seen one of them before but he knew what they capable of, the trip had been a silent one, not that Abel cared much for talking, but it all changed once Toya had opened his lips near the town. "Would it matter if I had said no!?" Abel knew that he would have kept going even thought he did not want to listen to the bloody riddle, Abel listened to it, not really caring, those were not the type of games that he enjoyed. After hearing the indeed bloody riddle Abel could only think about the man who picked up woman in a funeral, not even Abel was that low, he had his own standards.""Maybe she felt depressed because she was picked up at her mothers funeral, that s**t is horrible, maybe she had always been a bit mad in the head or maybe she just needed some time in silence but her sister talked" Abel would say looking forward into the road ahead of them.

Toya chuckled at Abel's responses. The first was what a few people said. Getting involved with someone through a funeral can be considered quite odd to normal people. The second guess was the one that irritated him when his victims said it. It usually led to him torturing his victims much longer and the final response was Abel's best by far! Oh how Toya hated it when people would just YAP YAP YAP and never stop. Like one of those monkeys with those...What do you call 'em things thst just kept going BLAM BLAM BLAM. But those were also the best ooooh the best. When he slit their throats and shhhhhh it was all over. The only sound was ths tof their choking. The blood streaming silently down their neck almost as if out of respect. "No, no, no. You got it all wrong. The real answer is-" The ground started to tremble, but unlike an Earthquake where it was all around. This tremble seemed to approach the two. Toya raised his left eyebrow before putting his ear against the ground. "Oh dear..." A massive Chimera erupted from hell, swallowing Toya in one bite befotr dissapearing down under in the darkness.

Abel had given his answer to Toya but he was sure that it was not the one that Toya was hoping for, in some way that made Abel happy, they were not alike, Abel was more of the psycho type and Abel was more of the type that will do anything if it gets him somewhere he wants to be, even if it meant doing something good, Abel was more of an opportunist, that was how he has been able to live in Luimira City for so long. Toya was about to give Abel the response he wished for but deep inside Abel already knew the answer that the shade was looking for, Abel was just being himself and trying to annoy the crazy shade, just before Toya could have finished the answer the ground began to shake, Abel found that be quite strange since there were no earthquakes around here. Everything made sense once the Chimera erupted from the ground and swallowed the shade in one bite. "HOLY HELL!!!" That was all that came out from Abel's mouth before he jumped back from the hole. Looking into the dark hole that the creature had made "Well Rest in Pieces dude!" Abel would say walking away from from the hole, he had nothing to prove to himself by jumping in and avenging the shade. "But then again... I need something to tell the ladies" Abel said jumping into the whole.

Once he had landed he could not see the palm of his hand in front of him, Abel would then make flame balls and hurl them around, after he had enough vision he could see that this was no tunnel as he expected, it was more like a main chamber inside a cave and in the center there was the creature, Abel would run as fast as he could towards the Chimera. "Here kitty, kitty... Here I am " Abel would say as he would superman pucn the creature in the main head, the thing would get hit and then jump back and rawr towards Abel. "Let's do this!" Abel would say with a smirk.

A dark smoke escaped through one of the nostrils of the mighty Chimera. It floated towards Abel and slowly took the form of Toya. Once his mouth was reconstructed it began talking. "That never feels good." Toya meant his incorperal form which essentialy turnef him into smoke for a short while.

Abel was very intrigued at how the shade had survived the bite from the Chimera, he could also imagine other places that the Shade could have come out from. ""Well I guess it won't be as fun to tell the girls at the bars now! " Abel would comment as soon as Toya had his full human form, the fight was indeed going to be easier now but Abel did not know how it much by, he had no idea how strong a Chimera was, all the info he had were tales by old warriors who would sometimes go to bars where he was at but he never cared much about those tales, he was too busy chasing skirts to properly listen to them. Abel was actually glad that the shade had come back in one piece, his chances of surviving had increased because of that and that made him happy. Looking towards the shade Abel would go into a fighting stance ready to fight any time now.

Toya stood up on both legs once he regained control of them. Sometimes he wondered what went on inside his body since he had no organs. As a matter of fact his body was literately a moving shadow. The look of indifference in his eyes was due to the fact that Toya hated getting swallowed by creatures. That particular Chimera wouldn't be the first. "Your stories always bore them Abel." Toya said before snapping his fingers. Four undead minions with greatswords emerged from the ground with an explosion of a grim looking energy. The undead minions groaned in their endless torment. The Chimera charged at Toya and Abel. It immediately smashed through the minions while Toya dodged the strike. "Aaaaah. Useless mongrels!!" Toya shouted in frustration at an undead head that was looking at him as if waiting for an order.

Amidst the chaos in the mainland of Nocturne, Amias had another assigned mission to pass up the time; it was from Lilith, of course. The demands were lengthy, but ultimately quite simple in nature. Around the town, adults, children, and the elderly had repeatedly gone missing, only to return a few days later with no memory of what had happened. Other than that, the townspeople had presented him with little to no relevant information, and further investigation had fallen on his shoulders. Though the core assignment was as follows:

Letter from Mayor
"Dear Assignee,
Myself--as well as the citizens of Gettera town--humbly request your assistance in dealing with a particular series of disappearances within our homes. Our citizens will go missing for the short period of a few days, only to return with no memory of what had occurred. Please consult with the townspeople--especially the victims--and find out what has happened. After you have determined the root cause, go to any lengths necessary to locate and eradicate whatever is causing this problem. For good. Your reward will be astronomical, a handmade weapon forged from the finest smith in town. Your metal, your choice. Any weapon you could possibly imagine.

Best of luck, and thank you for assisting this small town,
Enrico Dellarosa, Mayor"

Rather simple instructions, to his knowledge. Though it was plainly obvious that the first step in this process was investigating. Without hesitation, Amias headed straight to the local library to look into previous happenings of the town from before these events had started taking place. While flipping through the pages--albeit a bit slowly, as he enjoyed the read--he was approached by the nearby librarian. "Hello there, you look stumped. Is there something I can help you with?" She seemed nice enough, but he wasn't really the type for dealing with 'nice' girls.

"I'm looking for a specific set of documents. Any sort of detective or crime reports related to disappearances in this town. It concerns the recent abductions that have been taking place here. Any information you have would be splendid." His tone was soaked in the most detestable kind of apathy and disinterest, but that was hardly the Pagan's concern right now. However, the woman seemed to take it with a grain of salt; he did bear an older appearance. She began to walk away, having said nothing. However, once she reached the desk, she seemed to be fumbling with something below the counter. Before long, she raised her finger and motioned for him to come over. Now...things were getting interesting. Amias stood from his chair and paced over quickly, not wanting to waste a second. When he leaned over the desk, he found a set of beautifully chiseled, marble stairs descending for quite a distance below the floor of the library. A trapdoor, perhaps?

After quite a long descent into God knows where, Amias found himself in an incredibly old room. It was filled to the brim with bookshelves, with the rows about five feet apart from each other. Chandeliers hanged from the ceiling, the candles already lit. With their faint light--and the potent layers of dust in the air--the room gave an incredibly ominous vibe. Nevertheless, the man stepped forward until he found his new informant. She stood behind a podium in the front of the room, with a rather strange book open. "That's a fascinating book you have there...what is it?" Her head quickly snapped up from the book, almost as though he'd taken her by surprise. Which was rather strange, because he'd made absolutely no attempt to hide his energy.

"Oh, this old thing? It's nothing. Especially not important for someone like you." This comment tiook him aback; why the sudden animosity? When he looked down, he understood. This librarian wasn't human. The glowing, holy circle surrounding him attested to that rather well. He had a Nephilim on his hands. "Berat ascim benedictus. Otam lanceriea beskat ovatum. Omnium enta sit bera, bera totalem entasalaram!" The book...he recognized it now. It was the Abramelin Index, the most powerful book of holy magic known to man. How a lowly angel like herself had gotten her hands on it was unbeknownst to him, but even a novice with that book was deadly. Her spell had him locked within the circle, and he was certain that the next was designed to fill the space with destructive holy magic. However...what this young angel failed to comprehend was that her opponent was not of an unholy disposition...

"Evisca ontem, totalem enta dom verash. Betran osit venam oclus lira tovinis evisca...TOTALEM WEI LASCEREA!" Without fail, a tremendous beam of holy light erupted from her free palm towards Amias. Though her attack was potent, she hadn't restricted him from using his hands. That was the only mistake he'd allow her to make. He quickly drew his shotguns, and fired once from each firearm before the light hit. In those short moments, quite the exchange had happened, but he'd expand more on that later. The result was--naturally, from a beam of that size--a catastrophically large explosion of holy power. The room was blown to bits, and it even revealed the outside via a hole in the side of the room. Geretta town was at the top of one of Nocturne's peaks, meaning that they were in the side of a mountain when the s**t hit the fan.

To her general dismay, the holy circle had been destroyed, and Amias was still standing when the explosion cleared. Not a stratch. "How is that even possible? You're a demon, a denizen of darkness! My holy power should have blown you to bits!" Her frustration became apparent when she suddenly sprouted wings and took to the air. However...try as she might, the book would not move. The nephilim hovered there for a short while, tugging and tugging at the book that just wouldn't seem to move.

And then he snapped his fingers once more. Seemingly out of nowhere, six shotgun shells tore into her exposed arms and shoulders like a hot knife through butter, blowing holes through her wings and forcing her to faceplant into the book she was trying to hard to lift. Truth be told, Amias had been continually removing the space between the book and the desk; she was lifting the whole time, but the book could never move if there was never any distance between it and the desk. Slowly and shakily, her now fragile arms brought her to eye level with him once again. "You're the devil. You're the worst kind of being. I don't even know what you are, but you need to die."

"No, my dear. You need only shut your mouth." In the blink of an eye, he was in front of her, his head gripping the back of her skull and firmly smashing her face into the desk, knocking her unconscious. For now, tendrils of Lyr moved quickly from his body to pin her to the wall, providing a short respite from combat. Once she was restrained, he opened the Index and looked at the spells within. There was no doubt about it...this was the real deal. The Abramelin Index--the most powerful book of holy magic to ever exist--basically the Nephilim's bible when it came to combat.

While reading, he simply waited for Lilith to arrive.

There was nothing more boring than coming to a town that didn't even have one strip club. On top of that Gettera happened to be on top of a freaking mountain. Lilith had lived in Nocturne for a long time now and had grown used to the cold, but this was just ridiculous. With a scowl set so deep in her face it may have gotten stuck like that Lilith trudged through the snow to make it to this god forsaken town. At least the sun was shining. Despite her crap mood Lilith of course still looked like she just rolled out of a literal bag of sexiness. It was only recently that she had acquired a new look, a shorter and blonde one at that too. Lilith hadn't been blonde in years but was growing bored with her old look. The other one had been more voluptuous and seductive, this one was more cute. Either one suited her purposes, really. As usual her hair fell perfectly around her, cascading strands of gold and yellow framing her soft face. Lilith wore an outfit that was different from her usual; there was no black. She had on a faded, brown leather jacket similar to a certain Kennedy of a certain residence filled with evil. Her jeans were almost a second skin, and her boots were made for combat instead of style.

The moment Lilith entered Gettera she felt a pinging in the back of her skull. Someone had just let out a metric s**t ton of magic on the far side of town. That was the direction she headed in right away. Lilith had sent Amias Nicht ahead of her, almost as a buffer between whatever would decide to try and catch them off guard. Lilith was nothing if not cautious. She was of more importance, at least to herself. Some lowly nugget of a novice was a lot more expendable than the captain of the guard. As she closed in on the location where the source of magic was pulsating from Lilith sighed and shook her head. It was a bit of a shame that Amias had gone so easily. He had performed well at the Smuggler's Lair and even had been kind enough to clean up after himself. In time he could be useful. But the level of this magic that Lilith was feeling suggested that there would be little left of her nugget. She pushed open the doors of the library with little care and took a look around inside. It was completely devoid of life.

The succubus began to wander around the library, occasionally reading the titles of the books and even stopping to grab one that was particularly erotic. Once she was done perusing Lilith decided to find out where the ******** the librarian was. "Hey! Is this place always left unattended?" To maybe a good amount of people books were not very important. But Lilith loved these things. They were full of knowledge, histories, opinions, facts, stories and so much more. Years and years could be kept and saved so it was not forgotten. There were those who would seek to destroy such treasures. So as a precaution Lilith closed the main library doors and locked them from the inside. That would deter lesser thieves and the likes. Lilith went to the front desk and leaned over it, spotting the open staircase. The succubus swung one leg over the desk and then the other, taking the stairs slowly.

The magic source was incredibly close now, and it was massive. Lilith realized it felt very volatile, even holy. That would be dangerous for her. When she walked down she became aware of ragged breathing and the presence of another. "What a pleasant surprise. And here I thought you were dead." Lilith said, crossing her arms over her chest and taking a few steps towards the obvious nephilim being held against the wall. The wings and high holiness were a dead giveaway. How was it that a creature could seem high and mighty even in such a vulnerable state. Lilith stopped right in front of the half-angel and peered at its face. It would be so simple to slit its neck and watch the blood pool around her. It would be oh so enjoyable as well. But something told Lilith that this particular nephilim would come to be useful. "Find something interesting? I'm guessing you didn't get the warmest of welcomes." Lilith said in reference to the sheer amount of damage the room had taken. Lilith was slowly trying to build up an idea as to what the hell Amias was. He had survived what looked like a full on blast of the wrath of Michael and survived, which probably meant he was not of unholy descent. He had this weird smoke power, the likes of which Lilith had never seen. She was a mage and had seen an a** ton of spells, yet whatever it was that Amias could do was still an enigma. Lilith would have to buy him a beer and talk it over. It seemed as if they would be working together for a bit and the succubus didn't like having a wildcard in her flock. She would absolutely hate to be blindsided by something he could do.

                                              • Extremely seductive. Like Incubi, you possess the ability to instantly seduce others as long as they're two ranks below you. It's said that this becomes possible only due to their astounding beauty, but that is only a supplement. The Succubi are indeed far more beautiful than all other races, but their seduction lies in the magical energy they are born with. This energy flows around them and into the air like cells into a vein, bewitching any they seek.

                                              • Lilith has developed the ability to detect the emotional state of the people near her and manipulate her succubus aura to merely make people around her feel very wanting of the more pleasurable acts. They become lascivious ratchet hoes, making it easier for Lilith to seduce people. This makes it so people one rank under Lillith are instantly seduced. If the opponent thinks they will be harmed the aura is broken. If Lilith tries to kill the target they are snapped out of it as well.

                                              • Arcane Arts: Her magic spells are quite devastating should one hit you. (+1 rank to magic)

                                              • Ability to manifest certain aspects of the demon at will. They can extend wings, sharp fingernails, as well as horns when they please.

                                              • Detect Magic
The user can detect magic. This means when others cast spells, or emanate high amounts of energy, you can see their aura. This also means you can detect magic in an area, meaning if an area has something magical about it, you can feel it. At higher ranks, you can determine the source in an area.

                                              • Vibration Sensory
A useful skill, the user channels energy into their feet to sense vibrations on the ground. As long as their feet is on the ground, a user can sense where an enemy is if they are earth bound within 50ft for five posts. This skill becomes passive once the user is Adept Rank.

Before Lilith arrived, Amias was able to have a quick look at the Nephilim's body. There didn't seem to be any markings suggesting that she was possessed--honestly, the fact that she was able to command holy magic from the Index was proof enough that she wasn't being occupied by any demonic forces. However, there was something suspicious on the bottom of her left heel. Something that made even the old man's eyes widen with surprise. A pentagram, clearly emblazoned in Pagan magic now rested on her body. Using Lyr, he was able to remove the tattoo before Lilith showed up. To be honest, what she said didn't surprise him in the least. A pleasant surprise? Maybe to someone who hadn't lived for centuries, and dealt with magics far stronger than this before. "You'd be fascinated to know that with age comes a lot of tricks and secrets. Perhaps one day, when you get to be my age, you'll understand exactly what I mean by that." Without pause, he retraced his steps over to the Nephilim. "As for what I found...you may not have heard of them--as ancient a race as we are--but this girl was marked by a Pagan God. Completely enslaved to the will of a much more powerful entity."

This...this was grim news. Incredibly so. "In the time that I've known my kind, battled against them for these eight hundred years...there is only one of us that I believe would be capable of controlling a holy vessel. To my knowledge, she's the most powerful Goddess living amongst us today." He paced for a bit, searching the Index for clues, perhaps some sort of writing to hint to where she might be. "Her name is Amala. Amongst the pagans, she always had the most potent ability. It was only natural; the Pagan Goddess of Reality was always the one pulling the strings. I can't help but wonder what kind of interest she's taken in abducting humans...the only source of power we have ever obtained from humans was their worship. And for the most powerful worship, the humans must be conscious and aware of their actions. They have to truly worship us." If anything, this was as close to a reveal about Amias as Lilith was going to get for a while. He was very secretive about his abilities, and it would take quite a bit of trust to get him to reveal that kind of info.

"But we can't sit around. Amala was incredibly strong the last time I faced her, and I fear that her power now may already be out of our control. If we're going to kill her, we have to find her. And the only way to do that is through the people she's abducted before." With quick strides, Amias paced towards the stairs in a hurried manner. However...he stopped himself mid step, seeming to float in the air temporarily. "Perhaps...there is another way." In what seemed like the blink of an eye, he was back next to the Nephilim again. In one fluid motion, he drew a pistol, fired it to wake her with the concussive noise, and quickly holstered it once again. Her eyes bolted open, and she struggled to move--only to discover that she was tied up. She even attempted to let out a scream, but the smoky substance coated her mouth, removing any and all noise. "The only noise you'll be making is the kind I ask for. You'll be answering my questions without failure and without hesitation. Or the consequences will be severe."

Her eyes widened in fear, and the nephilim began to shed tears of fear and resignation. Amias didn't show it on the surface, but he knew that this girl had been possessed by Amala. Her actions were not her own, and while he couldn't expect the vessel to remember much, he did know that she could assist them in tracking the location of his nemesis. "When you were possessed, where were you?"

Short, ragged breaths followed before her weak answer; she did just take a flurry of shotgun shells to her wings and shoulders, mind you. "I...don't remember. I was locking up the library, and the area around me turned completely black. Before now...that's all I remember." Naturally, her body was possessed by a pagan god, so even if they were to try and unblock the memories, they would be unsuccessful. Knowing Amala, she probably removed the memories from existence outright. With this in mind, Amias turned back to Lilith and simply shook his head.

"There is nothing more we can gain from this girl. Amala has probably destroyed her memories, and without those, we--" From behind him, the sounds of wretched, blood-curdling screams would break his focus. When Amias turned, he would see the nephilim's body being completely melted, with rays of light emitting from the previously existing patches of skin. Without a doubt, her body was negatively reacting not only to the overuse of such powerful holy magic, but also the aftereffects of being possessed by Amala. Before long, she was little more than a pile of soupy flesh on the ground, with her skeleton still hanging above. With a look of pity, Amias would simply snap his fingers before the young Nephilim's body was destroyed completely by the smoky tendrils. "Well...that escalated quickly."

He let out a deep sigh before using his ability again. Nigh instantly, he was at the base of the stairs across the room, speaking again with a bit louder of a voice. "I believe our next step is to investigate the villagers. Specifically, the ones that were kidnapped. If we can establish a pattern between the abducted, perhaps we can pinpoint her next target and follow her emissary back to her location." As he moved up the steps, Amias' voice would echo, "Of course, this means that we're using a human as bait, but I figure that won't bother you much."

Lilith's expression wiped from her typical cocky grin and superior look and gave way to one of incredulity. The way Amias spoke about this pagan, using words such as 'we' instead of 'they' let her know just exactly what he was. A smirk passed over her face as an understandment ran through the succubus. About eight hundred years ago, back during the early days of Axiom's creation pagan gods were the black. People absolutely worshipped them just as people worshipped the actual gods. In those days pagans were powerful and revered, feared and loved. But those days were long, long gone. Now a pagan was just about as loved as a homeless beggar. "Oh I've heard of pagans, probably not in the way you'd like to portray them." Lilith said, almost tauntingly. They had fallen from grace so long ago and it was practically a cultural norm to bad mouth these beings, no matter how powerful they had once been. No matter the power that Amias had exhibited, no matter the fact that a nephilim had been possessed by a pagan, Lilith knew she was better than them. It was written in her blood, coded into her brain and wired throughout her body to think so. The succubus peered at the halfling pinned to the wall as a devilish yearning grew inside of her. It was not fear of the pagan, not in the slightest. Lilith wanted to claim a life. She wanted to bring pain to a creature she had never had before. The woman took in a steadying breath and flexed her hands, trying to contain her excitement.

Amias being able to pinpoint exactly who he thought it was brought a faint smile to Lilith's face. It would be nice to call her next victim by her name as she peeled her skin off. "The most powerful pagan around, huh? That doesn't seem to be a problem if we're using you as a comparison. The scale here is quite small, how many of you guys are even left? Twenty? Ten? Five?" Lilith questioned Amias, not actually expecting a response to her words. For once in her life she was not trying to be rude or proving herself to be of a higher caliber than the ancient man before her. It was merely truth at the moment. He probably was not at the same level of strength he had been years ago. Time had eroded the pagans down into just a few, taking away their vast influence and making them just like everyone else. Maybe they were a little hard to kill in comparison, but it was all the same now. The funny thing about the pagan's power of another time was that it had been no different from now. In those days they had just been the first supernatural races. When man was building their houses out of mud and poop and using pig stickers to defend themselves pagans were shooting fireballs out of their asses and crapping lightning on a daily basis. There was so much lore on their abilities and the things they could do. But Lilith knew this to be of little importance. Now everyone had abilities, some even greater than a pagan.

Regardless of how much better than Amala Lilith knew she was she paid close attention to Amias. Control of reality? That would be problematic. If possession was one of Amala's powers did that mean the succubus and her novice nugget were in danger of being taken over? Lilith pursed her lips and drummed her nails against a table in an almost agitated way. She would be damned if someone took over her body. Lilith was the one with the powers to manipulate another, to get them to bend to her will and obey her every command. This reality b***h had another thing coming if she was looking for easy targets.

Lilith nodded her head in agreement. If they were to find this Amala then the obivous method of getting it done swiftly was to hunt down those that she had possessed. Perhaps there was some sort of pattern or something that the pagan left behind to give them a clue as to her whereabouts. And then from there it was just a matter of killing her. With so little information given about Amala it was impossible for Lilith to plot out a method of defeating her. She'd have to wing it, but there was an idea brewing in her tar black mind. While a succubus could not quite possess someone they could so something very close to it. Liltih could use one of the citizens of Gettera as bait, or even a number of them. She turned back to the Nephilim and leaned against a table, crossing her arms over her chest and waiting for the show to begin. Amias was quick to awaken her and even quicker to tell her the rules. As the halfing proclaimed to know nothing the succubus sighed. Of course it wouldn't be that easy. "Something tells me she's not as powerful as you may think. Why bother even wiping the memories if-" Lilith's words were cut off when the woman on the wall began to wail as if someone was ripping her right in two. What happened was close enough. With an exhilarated look on her face Lilith watched as the creature melted before her. She stared at the pile of bodily pieces and fluids that were left as Amias spoke. There was a frown on her face, though only because she wanted to have been the one to end the nephilim.

The succubus pushed off of the table and stepped over the pool of a person and headed for the stairs, walking past Amias and up to the ground level. "No, it definitely isn't a problem. I don't care if we have to use one human or twenty of them. As a matter of fact it'll spice this job up a bit more, huh?" Lilith said with a wicked smile and a shrug of her shoulders. She had been in the pleasure business too long and had offset her balance. It was time for equal amounts of pain to be dished out. "If there's one place that all the rumors and stories end up at its the local watering hole. I'll head there and see what I can dig up." Lilith said as she opened the doors to the library, pausing to look back down the stairs and at Amias. Her job wouldn't be too difficult; a smile here and a charm there. Being a succubus made interrogation and finding out dark secrets very easy. It was practically their favorite past time. "Meet up at the center of town if you find something, it shouldn't take too long." With those last words Lilith walked out of the building and headed out into the snowy world, pushing her hands into her pockets and aiming for the first bar she could find.

He could see it, even feel it to a small degree. As soon as he insinuated that he was a Pagan God, the way she perceived him changed. Like nearly every other citizen of Axiom, she had an inherent idea that Pagans were no longer what they used to be. No longer relevant in the global scale of things. While that may be so in terms of their influence, it in no way, shape, or form dictated their power. Even to today's standards, the Pagans were powerful. More powerful than most creatures in Axiom would think. For some, it was this blatant underestimation that allowed the Pagans to secure small victories and keep themselves alive. Amias had never needed to rely on such petty folly. His power was enough to keep him around for the past 800 years, and in his time...many of the other 'gods' had fallen to his hands.

When Lilith spoke, his thoughts were confirmed. She too had a sort of hatred towards Pagans. "What you--and the rest of society--have been trained to think...it paints ill what used to be a very proud and prominent race. It's shameful to think that we've allowed our displays of power to be so small that we're even considered weak now..." He looked toward the Nephilim's flesh, and said briefly, "If we were weak...how would I have survived a blast like that, especially without taking damage? One thing remains constant, my dear; we may have fallen out of fashion in the common era, but our power--the power that humans came to fear and worship--has not changed. We're every bit as powerful as we were 800 years ago. We simply haven't thought of trying to increase this power through the means of this...militaristic system Axiom seems to have adopted. Had we adapted to it earlier, I have no doubt in my mind that the Pagans would still be at the pinnacle of power. My species' pride and arrogance was what allowed us to get destroyed in such a way."

Her complete disregard of humans was somewhat entertaining, but also expected. Many supernatural races cared for humans less than the dirt on the bottom of their shoes. It was this way with most supernatural races; many of them didn't realize the latent power and potential that laid within the human race. Their spiritual power of worship had driven the pagans to success for hundreds of years, and even Michael would not survive were it not for the power he gained from those who worship him. The only reason the other supernatural races were so inclined to look down upon humans was because they had never dared to tap into the near infinite wellspring of power that came from their worship. With this very powerful thought on his mind, Amias continued walking up the stairs...until a woman's voice broke his concentration from below.

"Amias...it certainly has been far too long, you know." It was her. Amala had appeared before him without Lilith there...this would be problematic. Their last encounter was over five hundred years ago, and that resulted in Amias' single defeat in his entire lifespan. And for all this time, she'd been abducting women for her own purposes...when he saw her body, the pieces began to click. Small patches of her body were rotting, giving way to extremely potent necrosis. For a second, a cheeky grin played across the man's face; Amala's ability was obviously taking a toll on her physical body. Of all the pagans, she was the only one granted a power so strong that her body wouldn't be able to handle it for all of eternity.

"I see, Amala. I understand now. Your abilities are so powerful that they're eroding your physical body. You may have been superior to me for all of these years, but In the end, I'm the one who will win the battle of longevity. Unless...you came here to make sure that doesn't happen?" His hands were at the ready; right now, he knew that--if she attacked--his only chance was to run. As stated many times, she was the most powerful living pagan; most likely the strongest one that ever lived. Besides Genesis, but that was a story for another time.

"Too bad you won't live to see the day I croak, old man." She lashed out her arms like whips, and although it were invisible, Amias knew what was coming. Energy so powerful it could control the fabric of space and time. If he wasn't up those stairs and out of the building in less than a second, the entire space would collapse to the power of her ability to break reality. Thankfully, his ability was always the best at dodging hers. By crushing all obstacles between him and the outside, he was able to dodge her spells, for now. However, the damage was obvious. Behind him, the entire library crumbled and crashed down the side of the mountain, damaging some of the homes in its path. Below, cries of agony and terror filled the air as the homes were crushed.

Although he didn't want to admit it, Amias knew the skirmish wasn't over. She was just testing his abilities, seeing if he'd aged out over the past 300 years, or if he were still relevant enough to put up a fight. She wouldn't be disappointed. In a blur of movement, he drew his semi-automatic pistols as Amala erupted from the remaining debris, wings of invisible energy lifting her into the air. "My, my, Amias. Using guns on a lady? That's quite impolite. I thought you were too old-fashioned to use such unfashionable weapons." Without responding, he fired a burst of three bullets at her. Her arm rose at the same time, and in front of his eyes, one of the bullets simply stopped moving. It slowed to a halt directly in front of her before completely fading from existence. "Really now, Amias? Little bullet gambits like this? If you care to remember, we used to do this dance with blades in our youth. Using faster projectiles with your vanishing skill isn't going to make it any more effective now." As much as he hated to admit it, Amala had a point. However, his gambit could still work. In his years, Amias had learned a few more tricks about taking his opponents by surprise, and with a snap of his fingers, he put this theory to the test.

"You're gonna try it anyway, huh, that's qui--" A shiver tore through her body as his bullet tore into the back of her right shoulder blade, leaving a rather sizable hole in its wake. Instead of keeping his bullets at their regular resetting points, he'd used his space-crushing ability to transport them in the Lyr dimension before re-firing them at Amala. It was an underhanded tactic, but it was potent enough to take even her off guard. With her focus temporarily disrupted, her flight ability wavered, setting her on the ground. As soon as her knees bent to break the fall, she would find that the ground had vanished from underneath her. When she regained her focus to hover in the air, Amala looked up to the triple barrel of Amias' sawed-off shotgun; the removal of space was a ploy to get her to break focus for a short enough period that closing the distance could happen effortlessly. Thankfully for him, his plan worked.

However, as he pulled the trigger, his bullets made no impact. Amala had readied her energy at the perfect time, and the bullets hadn't hit her. "Too bad, Ammy. Looks like you won't beat me this time." Her energy rammed into his stomach like a battering ram, smashing his body into one of the buildings at the mountain's peak. Before he could react, she was in the air again, readying her next assault. From her outstretched hands, visible beams of raw energy would begin falling almost like rain, forcing her adversary to repeatedly use his space crushing ability to dodge her attacks. It continued ceaselessly like this for a while, until Amias performed that ceremonial snap of his fingers. From seemingly nowhere, an array of shotgun shells would drill into Amala's side, with enough buckshot to send her flying to the ground in a cloud of smoke. For now...Amias could only wait, silently hoping that Lilith had heard all of the racket.

It really had been that easy. Lilith had picked out the skeeviest looking bar she could find and waltzed right in. Instantly heads were turned, eyes locked on her assets as she sauntered through and stopped at the bar. She leaned against the counter, keeping her legs straight so as to make her rear end truly a sight to behold. Lilith didn't even need to clear her throat or tap on the counter. The bartender slid over as if he was a slug and leaned forward as well. The succubus had a difficult time keeping a straight face and not gagging at the smell of this man's breath. He had hair in a few places on his head, most of which seemed to have migrated down his back and chest. The beard and mustache he sported gave off a vibe that he usually kept an eye for the younger women around here. That probably meant he had a good idea which women were who around here. And based off of the thoughts swimming in his head, most concerned with how soft Lilith looked, the succubus figured she'd have an easy enough time squeezing information out of this sleezeball. Lilith met eyes with the man and put on her game face. She puckered her lips slightly and opened her eyes a bit wider, giving her a lost bird type of look. The man shifted in place and smirked at her and the woman knew she hit his type spot on. "What can I help you with, pretty lady?" The barkeep moved a bit closer and as the distance between them closed, Lilith had to try harder and harder not to reach out and slap this man across the face. People had to shower; daily preferably but at least bi-weekly. The completely vulnerable look on her face remained and Lilith even changed the tone of her voice to make her sound like easy pickings. "Umm, I'm new here in town. I've been looking for a nice place to have a drink. Maybe, meet some friends." Lilith said as she pushed her upper body against the counter the bartender got a very good look at the valley and mountains. The succubus began to walk her fingers across the countertop and lightly ran one across the man's wrist, a very slow motion that set him on edge.

A very sudden slap against her a** had Lilith feigning surprise. She gasped in a cutesy way and whirled about, finding herself facing yet another burly man. At least this one was clean. Or that's what Lilith thought until he opened his mouth. Stale whiskey and cigars. That was the smell of daddies and businessmen. What was a man like that doing in a place like this? "Get the girl something strong, put it on my tab." The bartender shot a very angry look at the older guy, one that read 'lay off my marks' but he didn't pursue the issue. Instead he turned around and grabbed a mug and a bottle. Lilith didn't bother paying attention to what he was doing and instead gave her gaze to her newfound benefactor. "It's nice to see there are some good people around here. Thank you." Lilith grabbed the mug and lifted it to her lips. She took a hearty gulp and licked her lips after, returning to her conversation. "I have to say though, you don't look like you belong here." Lilith said, swiveling about to face the man fully. As he began to speak again the woman raised the mug and kept on drinking. Even if she was on a job there was no point in wasting a perfectly good drink. Besides, the trip had been long and it was ******** cold outside. "You don't look like you belong here either, pretty girl like yourself in such a small place? Looks to me like you'd thrive better in a city like Luimira. Especially around these times." Lilith smiled coyly at first, but then raised an eyebrow at the warning. Here's where it was going to get good. In just a few moments Lilith wouldn't have to be surrounded by a pile of garbage and a toilet left unflushed after taco tuesdays. The probing look on her face was all the man needed to keep going as Lilith kept on drinking. "You're blonde, and shapely yes, but a bit smaller than some other women." Lilith tried not to take that personally. She was damn hot and she knew it. "Ladies with dark hair and big chests, those are the ones in trouble. And there really ain't to many left. Only-" A sound like the mountain itself coming down had the whole place shaking. Lilith took that has her cue to leave and downed the mug in one shot. She patted the man on the shoulder and bolted before any favors were asked for.

Once the fresh air hit her Lilith took in a deep breath and set her eyes to the sky. A huge cloud of smoke, dust, and debris was falling down on the other side of town. There were a s**t ton of people outside and rubber necking, ultimately blocking Lilith's way back to the library. The closer the succubus got to the scene the stronger this magic source was growing. She recognized Amias from before, but there was another blip as well. The fire in her loins burned ever brighter; that craving for a battle and the want to see the blood stain the snow had Lilith moving at a brisk walk. It was rare that she ran, and even now the woman was set on making an entrance. The succubus took in the sight of Amias being jerked around like a puppet on strings as who she could only perceive as Amala was firing off bolts of energy like some sort of dark magician on speed. And then suddenly the tides turned when Amala was sent falling to the ground in a hail of buckshot. Lilith took her chance and lashed out with one arm, sending a s**t ton of fiery arcs straight for where the pagan would land. At the same time she took in a deep breath and released it, sending out a gust of wind right after the arcs. Once the two met it was a mini, flamey, whirlwind of asskick headed right towards Amala. After the wombo combo Lilith paused, the fire dying down to gauntlets around her hands. The smoke would affect her aim but Lilith had other ways. If Amala moved along the ground she would know, and if the pagan b***h tried to use energy Lilith would be alerted.

As Lilith entered the scene, Amias' words came pouring out, and they didn't stop until he was finished explaining the core aspects of Amala's abilities; their time was limited before she got back up, as meager attacks like that wouldn't even come close to killing that beast. "Alright, Lilith. Amala's abilities are simple in explanation, but infinite in application. She controls an energy like mine, but hers is superior to all other magic. It's called Genesis. She arrogantly named it after the strongest pagan god to ever have lived, but that's besides the point. She can create, manipulate, and fire this energy at will, and it has the power to bend space and time if she wishes for it to. From what I observed before, this ability of hers is so powerful that her body is starting to decay from overuse. Our priority now is to find out what her pattern is, and make sure that she can't--". Before he could finish, the earth started to rumble. Amala erupted into the sky from the smoke cloud, looking down upon them with bitter hatred. The most gruesome part? A portion of her skull had been blown off from the shotgun shells, so she now looked as though she were some sort of undead entity. Amias had no doubt in his mind that she was readying some sort of witty retort to chide him for spitting out her abilities so easily.

"That's QUITE rude of you, Ammy. Going off and telling some two-bit harlot my abilities, right in front of my face? I simply cannot forgive that." Her hands extended, and the ground underneath Lilith and Amias would almost immediately shatter, putting them into free-fall over the edge of the mountain where Gettera Town stood. Fortunately, there were no buildings in their path this time--the fight between Amias and Amala had displaced them to the other side of the mountain, where only a free fall existed. Now, it was the two of them versus Amala, in her domain. She could fly, so the two of them were at an inherent disadvantage. Thankfully, Amias was able to land on one of the descending rocks, giving him somewhat safe grounds for the battle to come. Her first attack was directed only at him--a swirling mass of energy intended to draw out his maximum defensive power. He launched a shield of Lyr in response, keeping the attack at bay long enough for him to transport himself to another boulder. Though it was fruitless to keep dodging; when Amala's attack did pierce his shield, it carved through his initial boulder like butter, and continued to pursue him ceaselessly. For now, he could only continue to dodge until he and Lilith were able to come up with a plan to counteract her abilities and run. This was not a fight they could win; this was one they could only try to survive.

Amala then turned her attention to Lilith. "Let's see how you like this one, harlot." Her arms extended once again, and a flurry of needle-like blasts of energy would shoot out at Lilith in a continuous stream, giving her a difficult time if she chose to remain in one place. Like Amias, her choices were quite simple; spend a shitton of energy to defend, or dodge. Thankfully, there were plenty of boulders still around, so her ability to jump from boulder to boulder would be detrimental in ensuring her survival.

Lilith may have been completely full of herself but she was not stupid. She knew how to pick her battles and when she was outclassed in terms of strength and destructive powers. After Amias' clarification of Amala's powers Lilith understood that this fight would have to be won in some other way. Amias and the succubus needed time to plot out a course of action and frankly this was not the time to do it. The pagan b***h's comment brought a faint smirk to the face of Lilith. "Two bit? Sweetie, I'd lick you so good and soft it'd ruin you. Forever." Even in the heat of battle Lilith had to defend her abilities. It wasn't just a part of being a succubus that made her want to be good at what she did. Sex, pleasure, pain; these were aspects of life that Lilith thrived in. Had she not been born a succubus Lilith probably would have walked down this path anyway. She took pride in her skills, and some washed up, falling apart, ancient a** pagan skank wasn't going to get free pot shots at her without getting some in return. When Amala extended her hands and shattered the ground beneath them Lilith felt it coming. She braced herself ahead of time and applied a small bit of energy to her legs. Manipulating the magnetic fields around her Lilith was able to stick to the rock like a spider. As it fell and flipped the woman looked to her novice and see how he was doing. It seemed that he was very busy trying to outrun the manifestation power that the b***h had. She got the picture then. It would take way too much willpower and energy to try and stop these attacks from happening. In the brief respite she had Lilith decided on an underhanded attack. It served no purposes other than to piss of Amala. Using this talent she had developed years ago Lilith manipulated the way Amala was feeling. Instead of merely feeling rage and agitation at the two of them, she would suddenly feel hot and bothered over Lilith. She would want to feel every bit of her and taste the good parts of her as well. "I hope you have a grand plan up your sleeves, nugget!" Lilith called out as she jumped to another boulder, making her way closer to the cliff edge. When Amala's energy suggested a separate attack Lilith was already on the move. It wouldn't be some flying needles that put an end to her, that much she was sure of. So the succubus played leap frog, never staying in one place too long and constantly switching directions. Lilith flicked her hand at Amias and sent him a silent and hidden message he'd hear in his head. "I saw how you shot those bullets and moved them somewhere else. Can you do that again?" Lilith had a slew of high powered techniques meant to blow people up on a molecular level. If they could get another shot off like last time then maybe the b***h would be forced to retreat and give them a break. From there, it was finding the other girls she could use to regenerate and stopping her. Amala had to be growing weaker and weaker, what with having just destroyed the cliff face.

By minor manipulation of magnetic fields you are able to stick onto the surface of rocks and any earth material. These things are rocks, concrete, crystals and metal. 10 energy is used per post of hanging.

                                              • Message C
You can whisper messages and receive whispered replies with little chance of being overheard. You point your finger at each creature you want to receive the message. When you whisper, the whispered message is audible to all targeted creatures within range. Magical silence, 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal (or a thin sheet of lead), or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks the spell. The message does not have to travel in a straight line. It can circumvent a barrier if there is an open path between you and the subject, and the path’s entire length lies within the spell’s range. The creatures that receive the message can whisper a reply that you hear. The spell transmits sound, not meaning. It doesn’t transcend language barriers.
