The things bothering Junko were the exact reason why Shehk had been concerned that Nukpana had said a grand total of one word to her. If it had been normal for him (or if she hadn't been able to tell she was the only one getting that treatment), she probably would have been less bothered by it.

But it seemed that one word had done enough to stab through her and plant a seed of doubt into the back of Shehk's mind. She'd have to smile through it and if prom came and went without a problem everything would be well enough and she'd put everything out-of-site, out-of-mind.

"Yeah. That has to be it." she agreed. She was afraid to be too optimistic about it, however.

But the change of subject was easy enough for Shehk to redirect her attention to.

"It's...a very active thing. FITNESS club is nice, but that's definitely more..being fit than a rigorous and repetitive activity like this is." She leaned back in her seat. "Not to say fitness isn't the same thing, but FEARleading is a bit more high-impact? It can really screw your joints up if you don't build it up properly. But in exchange it's very fun to do."

Oh good, the change of subject worked. Junko smiled again and looked down at the things on the booth, humming curiously while she listened to the explanation. Junko was hardly fit like some of the others in Fitness club; she definitely wasn't strong like Riley, or quick like Nuk, or as active as Jericho or Seiji. But Fearleading looked really fun! She hadn't been interested in the beginning of the year..but maybe now? "Screw up your joints? How so?" That was a risk she'd have to be wary of.

Junko cast one more furtive glance toward the Bruteball booth before quickly turning her attention to Shehk again. Later. She'd go later. Something was wrong with Nuk though, and as much as she said she hated him? She cared about him a great deal.

"Is it...too late to sign up for Fearleading?" She'd be diligent! She'd be loyal! She wouldn't up and ditch it! And she'd try her damn hardest at it!

"There are several types of workouts." Shehk started explaining, leaning onto the table of her booth. "Two common examples are high impact and low impact. Low impact exercise tends to be easy on the joints. FEARleading is high impact. We do similar routines that result in us putting a lot of force on joints in the knees and ankles mostly. Because the force from landing has to go somewhere. It's why warming up is important to help prevent injury, but also why working up to harder routines is difficult."

When Junko glanced towards the bruteball booth, Shehk did as well. Her heart sunk into her chest again, that feeling of woe coming back to her again.

It was soon distracted again.

Shehk grinned, tail wagging a bit.

"You certainly can! Since the year'll be ending soon we'll have quite a bit of time between the end of this year and the beginning of next year to catch people up before the sports start up again." She smiled. "And we'll be getting a lot of new faces with new enrollments. It should prove effective."

Oh! Well, that didn't sound so bad. If it'd been her hands or wrists Junko would be more concerned, but she could deal with putting extra force into her knees and ankles. That was okay! As long as she was able to sew! But to see Shehk smiling and her tail wagging? That was even better. She didn't want to see the ghoul sad, especially on a day that was supposed to be fun!

"I'd love to sign up then! Riley talked me into fitness club, I might as well put that into good use, right?" Not that fitness club was her only reason for wanting to try! But she was interested. She hadn't been before, but she was now.

She looked up when she head a commotion, spotting Riley at another booth...flipping tables over. Junko blinked. Was everything okay? "I'll be right back, Shehk. I'm going to go say hi to Riley...and...see why shes flipping tables..." She'd bring something back for Shehk! She wasn't sure what, but she'd find something.

((Exciting to Desu booth!))

Shehk frowned a bit as Junko fled the booth to investigate drama unfolding elsewhere.

Sadly what she didn't know was that the drama was her fault.

So she was left to sit by herself.

And twiddle her thumbs.

And possibly lose her mind as her paranoia ran away with her again.

Junko hummed cheerfully as she ventured back to the FEARleading booth, hoping to see Shehk in good spirits now. Or if she wasn't? She'd try to cheer her up. She had so much good news for her! But what she saw upon returning to the booth was not a Shehk that was feeling better. It was like she had never...aw, man! Was leaving her a bad idea?! But..but Junko had such good news to tell her! Hopefully it would cheer her up.

"Sheeeehk~!" She called out happily to the sad pricolici, hair wriggling with excitement as she bound over to the booth again. "I'm back!" No, duh.

Shehk had barely sat down again, just to look up and see that Junko had returned. The pricolici smiled, though it lacked the enthusiasm required to be a really genuinely happy one.

She seemed even more anxious now than when the futakuchi onna had left.

"Junko! Welcome back. I was starting to get kind of lonely."

Shehk twiddled her thumbs underneath the table.

Oh dear, she really didn't look to be in good shape. Junko tried not to frown at the sight, instead smiling and thrusting out the Nyan-cat box. "Look what I won while I was gone~!" She cheered, trying not to jostle the box too much. Couldn't harm the contents! She felt bad when the pricolici admitted she was getting lonely, however, pulling up a chair to sit beside Shehk and putting the box on the table so she could give her a hug.

"I'm sorryyyyy! I meant to come back sooner but I kept getting sidetracked. I saw Nuk at the prom booth. Ohoh! I'm gonna help him on the committee! Take some weight off his shoulders so he's not so stressed, you know?" That was good, right? It had to be why he was acting so weird! It just had to be. Junko put her head on Shehk's shoulder and pat her hands, sighing and pouting up at her. Needed to calm her down somehow. But..how? Talking about FEARleading at worked before, but what now? Oh! Maybe talking about prom? Junko perked up suddenly, grinning and clapping her hands together. "We should go check out dresses for prom!" After all of this, of course. But looking at dresses was so much fun! So many beautiful designs! Junko couldn't get much for herself, but she could get inspiration. Nuk was going to wear a suit! Shehk needed a dress!

Shehk sighed, leaning over the booth in a slight slump, her lips tightening a bit.

"Yeah. I saw him at the prom booth too..." she said, trailing off. He had looked so damn happy. Like he was enjoying himself. The dark look he had turned on her earlier flashed through her head and she wondered, for a brief moment, if she was possessing somebody else's body and didn't know it.

It was sort of a surreal experience.

However, she perked up a bit at the topic of dress hunting, her ears perking up a bit. "Oh. I...guess I wouldn't mind going browsing for something. I don't know anything about what they're doing for it, and I'd hate to jump the gun on actually getting a dress, but browsing couldn't hurt!"

Oh...she had? But Junko hadn't seen Shehk there! She looked a little confused by that, frowning and pressing her fingers to her lips. Shehk had been there? Obviously she hadn't stayed very long or else Junko would've seen her! But why had she left? Nuk had been so pleasa--oh...maybe that was the problem. Junko sighed, rubbing at the back of her neck. Cheerful, cheerful. Had to think of something cheerfu--oh! Good! Shopping~.

"It'll be fun! Oh! We can go with some other ghouls, too! I was checking groanspring on my way back and a few of the others are apparently going as a group. It'd be nice to hang out with them even if we don't end up buying anything, right?" She didn't want to call it 'jumping the gun' when it came to Shehk buying a dress. Why would she need to worry about that?

"You ladies discussing prom dress shopping?" Sin strolled over from the side and put down the spiderpom. She was pleased that she wouldn't have to worry about a date. Rosc would undoubtedly find some grand, incredible romantic way to ask her to prom and she would have to pretend to be surprised. At least she hoped he would, he just had to, he was a demon, an incubus if anyone understood the way to invite someone properly he had to.

"Mind if I tag along? Junko you always have such a good eye I'd love to have your opinion when I pick my dress." She eyed Shehk curiously, the other ghoul looked sort of dampened, was something bugging her? She and Shehk weren't exactly friends, but they were fellow Fearleaders and Sin had developed a small sense of concern for others since she had arrived at Amityville.
