It also meant you were contained, a concept Calder never liked, and that meant he was trapped in to be able to be targeted.
While he wasn't familiar with a rider, he did know when one was missing and it surprised Calder that Christof could be pulled from his back. Clearly he didn't have the sort of adhesiveness to his skin as his parents. Not just yet anyways. (Damn adolescence!) Giving a whinny, he looked up and saw the Igor lifted up by a purple tentacle before another smacked Fester from right off his head. Rearing up, he glared at the tentacle beast, flashbacks of the boat trip returning to him and how frustrated he was with the harpoon gun. No more. Nope. Now he could TRAMPLE and BITE it! The only bad thing was that Calder couldn't kick it. The tentacle was flailing wildly and he was worried he might hit his friend. Maybe his hesitation made for a poor hit.
No one was going to hurt his friends. Fester seemed to be sharing that same idea. Usually he wouldn't bother, but when something smacked him off his perk, he tended to get annoyed. While not the fastest, he rolled over through the ground to the base of the creature and used the only thing he could use to inflict pain. He chomped on the beast. Alas, he still stood by the whole 'lover, not fighter' mindset, even after undergoing the school trip from hell to that foggy island. As such, it was no wonder that when he whirled around, he managed to do very little damage at all; in all honesty, the serpent had been aiming to either head butt or bite the nautical off his body but... well... that was harder to do than to think. After all, the nautical was wrapped around Davy, whom was kind of... well, wrapped around Gabrian's head. That meant that after several failed tries, the serpent was forced to attack it in the only other way he could think of; thrashing it's tail forth to smack the Nautical in the face, even despite the fact the tentacle was still holding onto him, "LW!" the word was growled as he shook his head around, having aimed poorly and thus, having hurt himself more than he had the creature, "Get the thing off of Davy! To whine, it had to let go, sending it falling back into the pit. Immediately, the purple tentacle that was wrapped around both boils' ankles made its way up so that each tentacle was now firmly wrapped around one of their legs. A sudden hard tug later, both dragon (and minipet) and wrath demon were dragged into the darkness... ... Only to appear a few seconds later covered with ring shaped marks on their arms, although the tentacles were gone. It is best not to ask what happened, although this probably wasn't the first time for West. Enemy HP: Minipet QQ'ed due to being attacked by RAGE and escaped, but tentacles RAGED back. Hard. As disoriented as she was, she still managed to get a good solid bite in to one Nautical, hanging on for a few seconds before releasing the thing and spitting ichor from her tiny mouth. Malodore, for its part, snatched up its own tail and used it like a dagger, slicing at the Nautical's fleshy, vulnerable bits. It was somewhat of a clumsy strike, but it did manage to do some damage... "Are you all right?" it called out to Riley. ((Parassiti's HP: 11 Malodore does 3 damage Parassiti does 3 damage Enemy HP: 34? (There's two, right? One that Mal & Parassiti attack, and one that Riley and Cam attack?)))

The abrupt release of Rhys from the Nautical's slimy tentacles sent Ren stumbling backwards abruptly, the lepus squirming wetly in his arms. He leaned down, patting his pet's head, a worried look on his face.
"You all right?" Ren asked, and when Rhys made a sound of acknowledgment, Ren nodded, moving back to Jove. One glance at the poor foxfire he held in his arms, and he knew that poor Fruitloup was going to have a rough time.
"Come on," Ren said, and took ahold of Jove's wrist. "Let's get the hell outta here."

"What the Jack?!" Her mimic did NOT APPRECIATE getting 'butted' and growled, little tail swishing violently as he gnashed his teeth at the offending creature. Then, with another growl, the mimic launched itself towards the Nautical to try and headbutt it back. LW kicked towards whatever was pulling Gabe down and threw a fist towards the same creature BB went to attack.

((Jove is partnered with Ren)) Jove ignored Ren's tug on his wrist. His own whimpers set up a harmony with those of the fluff cradled in his arms, and he would give no thought towards moving until after he pulled the FEAR candy from his pocket. Fruitloup sniffed at it, and then ceased it's whining as it chewed happily on the treat. It appeared mostly revived, although Jove was still worried for his dear pet. Finally he was ready to move along. Rhys' HP: 16. Fruitloup's HP: 14. Distance: 85/150

As he was dragged down, Jericho let out a cry while trying to bat off the tentacle. That didn't work out too well, and when he re-emerged from the darkness, he looked a bit... disturbed and disgruntled. His eyes were twitching and over all he did not look very pleased. There were also a few marks on his arms as well as the side of his neck.. The dragon looked around for West while also trying to advance so they hopefully wouldn't have to deal with the tentacle beast molesting them any further.

They had only gone a few steps when a tentacle rose from the pit on the other side and swept both Minipets off their feet for minimal damage. Then, without warning, it wrapped itself around Jove's wrist, pulling him away from Ren. It then wrapped itself around the pup's waist before hoisting him up into the air, away from his big brother.
Ren... Your little brother had been taken away...

Jove tried to make a grab for his beloved fluff before he felt his wrist caught up in something slimy... It tightened and held him back just long enough to slither around his waist. "HEY!" Jove barked out suddenly as he was lifted right off his feet, his eyes wide and panicked as he struggled to get loose. There was no fighting this tentacle though, it held him fast. Responding to it's owner's shout, Fruitloup leapt back to it's feet and barked noisily until it could once again sink it's teeth into a tentacle. It wanted it's person back!

One moment Ren was tugging Jove along behind him, the next he felt something cold, wet and slimy curl against his wrist, and with a sharp jerk Jove was dragged away from Ren, lifted up into the air. Ren made a desperate grab for his little brother, but it was already too late; the boil was pulled upwards, dangling fifteen feet in the air. Fruitloup, in a frenzy, dove towards the tentacle, snapping and snarling as it latched razor sharp teeth onto the creature holding its beloved owner hostage. Rhys tore himself from Ren's arms and leapt after the foxfire in an attempt at helping and Ren, feeling both panic stricken and frustrated gave a shout of anger, diving towards the tentacle creature.
"FACKING b*****d!" He bellowed, wings flapping behind him as he lashed out, kicking the beast as hard as he could. Feathers fluttered behind him, but Ren was too mad to care, scratching at the tentacle.
"LET MY LITTLE BROTHER GO YA STUPID THING!"
