 Jubilee looked at him, hoping he would continue. She hadn't heard his theory. The fact that he said all of this was fantasy or a video game sounded like the thoughts she had when she found out she was a mutant. She took another forkful of food.

Alexis tilted his head, exhaling slowly. "You see, where I came from, where I was born... there were manga or comic books of a sort... created by a man named Stan Lee... he created a company known as 'Marvel', which cranked out various superhuman characters, the X-Men, Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk, and the Fantastic Four among them. I've always thought people who came up with crazy and fantastic stories somehow, usually without realizing it, were somehow channeling what was already happening in another dimension or world... oddly, those things that attacked us indirectly or at least partially confirmed something of that, since those kinds of beings can supposedly travel to other worlds, though how I'm not sure," he admitted.

Jubilee listened, nodding at a couple of parts. She thought a moment and then shrugged. "That's cool." She took a sip of soda. "Doesn't really matter though. We've had dimensional travelers before...or time travelers...I can't remember which. All I know is Scott and Jean met a girl claiming to be their daughter. And the big guy with the glowing eye and the scar who looks 50-ish. He claims to be their son from a future where Sentinels or something rule. And don't get me started on Bishop. And then there was the creep Mojo. Oh Longshot was one of the dimensional people. I think Kitty is still upset he left." She took a breath and looked down at her food. She was starting to sound like Kitty with a juicy bit of gossip. She shook her head and took the last bite of food.

Alexis chuckled. "Personally, I respected Bishop, but I never liked the guy, and Cable made me think of Frank Castle (the Punisher) with one hell of a bad hangover," he said softly. He heard a cry of surprise from above them before he noticed a large bag falling. He tilted his head slightly, realizing if the bag fell any further it would likely hit Jubilee in the head. He grabbed an empty tray from the table near them and flicked it like a Frisbee at the bag, knocking it backward in flight before it landed with a heavy thump on the floor a few feet behind Jubilee. "It's funny how complicated time and space is at times, when you think about it... certain events altered just a little can turn everything after either better for others or much worse. I'm not sure if who you're referring to with Jean is Rachel Summers or not... I've heard of her," he said with a slight shrug as he noticed the concerned stares of the people on the walkway above them, including one semi-incredulous stare of a black haired woman, apparently the owner of the bag that had fallen.

Jubilee looked up as the tray sailed above her head. Her respect for him doubled and she sighed. 'This guy is so cool,' she thought. 'Wonder if he likes arcades.....or what it would be like to spare with him.' She nodded as he spoke as she half listened. "Yeah. I think her name was Racheal."

Alexis tilted his head slightly. I wonder, he thought. He opened his mouth to speak when heard an echoing boom followed by a monotone mechanical voice. "Halt mutants... you are under arrest. If you do not comply, you will be terminated." the voice said. He exhaled sharply, twisting his head to see the ten foot silver and purple robot. "Damn... that's not in the mutant handbook," he said softly, joking; he knew every mutation was unique, hence the 'handbook' joke since no two powers were the same, even with siblings or mothers/daughters.

Jubilee frowned at the walking tin can. "Not these guys again," she muttered under her breath as she got up unhurriedly. She took a sip of soda and slid her glasses over her eyes. "Let's get it out of public so it can't hurt anyone," she said as she began to run past the sentinel. She sent a blast to it's eye sensors and continued on, pulling Alexis with her.

Alexis chuckled. "Whaddya say... got a meal with a pretty girl, and a show with an idiot 'bot," he muttered under his breath, making sure Jubilee heard him as he ran alongside her. He glanced back to see the Sentinel walking unhurriedly after them, lifting one hand. "What's smarter, a Sentinel or a fire hydrant?" he muttered, not sure why it slipped out of his lips as a ridiculous joke. He looked ahead and sighed, the sound a low growl as it escaped. Another Sentinel was waiting, half hidden in the shadows of a building as they darted out of the doors into the pounding rain. His eyes narrowed as he ducked as a metallic tentacle shot over his shoulder, apparently aiming to grab one or both of them.

If the situation had been different, she might have blushed. Given the circumstances, she was more focused on getting out of the area before they used the gas ball. She shot another volley at the sentinel behind her. She was running backwards so she could face the enemy. She frowned as she went to reach for a communicator and found she had left it at home.

Alexis held up one hand, this time consciously focusing on Axel. He heard Axel's deep laugh in his mind as his hair streaked with red and steam rose from his skin as he felt heat build in his gut. "Let's see them handle a little heat," he said softly. His eyes locked onto the Sentinel coming toward them from behind as he concentrated, a spark of orange forming into a swirling orb that released heat, the nearest rain turning to steam as it fell close to the fireball that hovered just in front of his palm. He concentrated it into a smaller area, causing it to burn a heated yellow with a white core before it turned completely white with pale blue-lavender edges. He released it with a grunt, letting the fireball fly straight at the Sentinel's chest. It hit and imploded with a crackling boom, molten steel dripping down as the Sentinel fell to one knee before what was left of its torso above the chest simply folded backward, landing with a metallic crunch on its own back. He shifted his attention to the other Sentinel only to see a blurred brown and green form shoot down from the sky and slam into it with enough force to send it to the ground as surely as if it had been knocked out; had it been a human person, it would have been. "Looks like we got help... from Rogue, I think," he said softly.

 Rogue continued to beat on the bot. She went to the head as Jubilee targeted the neck and pulled it off. "Are you nuts?!" she said turning toward Jubilee. "You knew those things were out and about. You came out here without back up?" She began to pull the girl by her yellow coat back toward the jeep. "You coming?" she asked over her shoulder.

Alexis rolled his eyes with a half smile, following the duo. He let Axel's subtle changes fade away before he heard Axel's chuckle in his mind again."Not bad, kid... kinda surprised I never tried that myself, but then..." before his voice seemed to trail off. Alexis sighed as he reached the jeep. "We came out to get something to eat, really, and hopefully we won't have more of those show up, though they are good for getting out frustration on," he said idly.

Jubilee was protesting as Rogue put her in the back seat. "But I can drive.""You can also walk. And you," she said rounding on Alexis as he got into the jeep. "How the heck did manage not to get drained?" She started the jeep and tore out of the parking lot. She was going at a reasonable speed instead of Jubilee gunning the engine the entire time.

Alexis shrugged. "Created a very thin static electrical 'glove' preventing skin-to-skin contact but allowing me to be able to feel easily and not hurt you in the process... trust me, getting electrocuted isn't fun," he said blandly. He felt a momentary flicker of concern from Larxene when he mentioned it, but she didn't speak either telepathically or otherwise.

Rogue nodded in agreement. She was still frowning. "Storm's bolts pack a punch," she said. "And how did you know you wouldn't hurt me or yourself."
