Huh, looks like Famine was the secret word as the cloaker lost his..... wait... her cool? Thankfully she didn't chuck the key at anyone, especially the heavily injured boil on the side there, considering how much she hated the male persuasion. He quirked his head as the ghoul started talking to herself, not a good trait to see when it’s threatening your very existence.

He walked past the last ghoul that seemed pretty frustrated about the turn of events and, he couldn’t really blame her for feeling that way. At least she was kind enough to leave the key in there he thought to himself and he pulled it out to inspect it closely. The blood stained key was very bent out of shape, how on earth it got that way would be a mystery. "Could this thing even open anything anymore?" he muttered as he popped it into the lock and tried to twist it into a position that looked relatively normal.

After much growling and cursing, it refused to let out the magic sound to let everyone know it was unlocked. "Candlejackin' thing!" he bit out darkly as he dropped the key to the floor and debated on double teaming the door with West. Surely raw anger and a few well placed explosives can create a way in, or at least make him feel better about his failure.

While vulnerable as the half-beast was, Unstabul had absolutely no desire of being well... eaten. Sure he was weighing the options of being dead right now but that was certainly not a method that would bode well with his pride. Bul glared up at the much smaller figure who was surrounded with duplicates of herself, and let out a deep and unpleasant groan that eventually registered as a growl. His lips curled back some, revealing his own pointed teeth and his spines stood on end though shaking more from weakness than any sort of attempt at intimidation.

"Yeah.... I'm hurt..." he hissed. "But don't.... you dare....." he paused to try and look a little better off though it only resulted in a shift in his pained position. In defense his tail wrapped around his body. Of course, in any other state than the critical Bul would've teased around with this fellow odd monster. Now just wasn't his shining moment and while he was on the brink of death he wasn't going to roll over for it without some sort of snide remark at the very least.

Bul squinted to look at the lock and let out a frustrated and anguished sigh. "Has anyone.. ********.... opened this... ******** lock..?" Keeping an eye on the.. er... adorable Savior, Bul now had good reason to stay vigilant and alive. ((XDD))

The boil didn't notice his friend come over until he felt his body slowly being lifted. "Seiji?" he asked and glanced aside to him. "Thanks... man..." he sighed and leaned against the Hungry ghost. He felt much safer at this er... height now, though he wasn't standing fully upright just yet. "Jack ********... what is even... inside there anyways???"

West wasn't sure at first whether to laugh at the Marrowstripe or try to dissuade her from devouring another student, but ultimately he chose the whole dissuading thing, if only because everyone else seemed so adamantly against the eating. Frankly, West was curious to see if she could. Sure, the ghoul talked the talk about eating members of her own species, but for all he knew, male Marrowstripes were four inches tall.

"Hey, Savior," he muttered. "Prob'ly notta good idea t'eat'im." Unlike Holly, West didn't touch the other ghoul, trusting that the use of her name would get her attention.

Junko watched the small orange-skinned ghoul wander over to Bul, thinking maybe she was going to give him some sympathy.

...Or...or not? She was actually rather glad that Seiji had gotten up to go get Bul, sighing with relief as the two returned. She shrugged at Bul's question though. "No idea. That...er...the 'daughter of Famine'? She...?" It was weird giving a cloaked figure a gender. "She looked like she really wanted the key at first. Maybe something..important is behind it? But then why would she give it to us if it's important." She pouted and whined a little at her own confusing questions and leaned against Seiji, reaching for his normal hand to slip her fingers between his and hold his hand that way. Was she being overly clingy because of what Sarias had done earlier? Hell yes. Was she going to admit to that? Haha! No.

The ghost gave Bul's knee a soft pat, reassuring or comforting, it was really hard to tell. He tried, and that's what counted. No creepy runt was gunna make a meal of his best friend on his watch. No way, no how. "No clue, but at this point I'm really hoping for a way out that doesn't include bugs, or gas, or fog.." He ticked of the various obstacles they'd thus dealt with on his clawed fingers before letting that hand drop back to his thigh. The other was rather stealthily captured by Junko, and he turned a smile to the ghoul, bending his neck to press a kiss to her forehead as he intertwined his fingers with her's.

"Obviously she's bat s**t nuts. Probably been living in that brain melting fog her whole life. That's gotta mess you up some, don't ya think?" His tone wasn't exactly pleasant, but he wasn't frustrated with either monster beside him, and that was probably fairly obvious by the protective way he was guarding them.

Bul's current condition was very worrying though, and even as he trained to maintain his grouchy mood he couldn't help but turn covert little glances towards the half-beast. Stomach churning from worry as well as the pungent gas he'd inhaled earlier. They needed to find help, somehow, and soon. "Hang in there, man."

They had been right! Well, at least sort of. It seemed that the cloaked figure was telling them they were wrong, but some invisible force changed its mind. It tossed the key at the crowd of students and backed away like a puppy with its tail between its legs. Raziel managed a small smile across his face as his efforts combined with the purple demoness' had gotten the riddle right.

Still a little out of it from the ill effects of the gas, Raziel watched as other students took turns trying the key in the lock. So far, nobody had managed to get the lock to budge an inch. Damien had just tried the lock and it hadn't moved, with the key dropped to the floor, Raziel picked it up and attempted to bend the key back into a more proper shape. If it moved at all, it probably wasn't much, but that was all Raziel could muster at the moment, and he tried the lock once again.

"For the love of jack," he muttered when the key once again did not turn the lock even the slightest amount. Pulling the key out of the lock again, he held it up and asked, "Anybody else up for a try?"

"The question that arises, is whether it was the fog that made her loopy, or this school?" He told the ghost as he slumped down to the floor to rest his still weary stomach. It was no secret, the fog messed with your brain, but it couldn't have been like that since the beginning. "And for all we know, she might have actually been speaking to someone." There was a lot that they didn't know and the contents of the room before them was one of them.

Damien watched as the ghost went over to help the injured boil up, he looked like he was getting worse by the second, and saviors idea of eating him, didn't really help with the situation. Maybe she was just hungry, as Demi's stomach decided to grumble at the thought of food. Jack we all might be a little bit peckish after all this. "Well famine seemed like a pretty good idea at the time since they are starving us." Whatever they were. He wouldn't be surprised if the cloaked ones were planning on eating their flesh, for the ones that weren't ghosts that is.

Sin was tired, hungry, her ankle was a bit sore, but above all else she was afraid. Annoyance followed rather quickly on the heels of fear however and one the strange reaper, or whatever she was, was gone Sin relaxed a bit. They had the key and that was what mattered right? Well that and whoever that hooded ghoul was hadn't hurt them or captured one of them.

She ought to be thankful but then her fellow classmates and friends started trying to use the key only to find it useless! She snatched it up herself and tried wiggling it in the lock before giving up what a fruitless effort!

"Why protect a useless key?" She mumbled unhappily and crossed her arms annoyed. She was starting to wonder who was giving these hooded figures their orders, they all acted as if they were puppets to some greater master. If the puppets were this scary though she never wanted to meet the master mind behind this horrid place.

A little shocked as the Marrowstripe spoke of eating Bul, she was beginning to question the group they had joined up with. For now, they would be sure to keep Saviour from eating him. Hopefully.. "I like the idea of kicking the door down.." She grumbled, running her hands through her hair in frustration.

Looking to Junko, she gave a small shrug. "Seems that way.." Maybe behind the door would help them? Or.. not? The idea made her tense. "She seemed awfully touchy 'bout boils though." She added, looking to all their own group of boils as she spoke, followed by a wide grin.

Waving a hand at Damien, she was sure that both had something to do with the cloaked ghoul's behavior. "I think they both did the job. I know I'm gonna lose it as well if I don't get the hell out of here."

Moving to take a seat, she propped herself against the wall next to the door, watching as they continued their attempts. It was much of the same result.. "Who knows.." She replied to Sin, "The ghoul was pretty insane. Maybe she just thought she grabbed the right key? I mean, there's no telling how many keys there are in this school, if any at all." Throwing her hands up in the air, she folded them over her chest upon finishing.

"Maybe this was a diversion? You know, to keep us busy?" Of course, she wasn't positive of this idea, but honestly.. this was stupid.

Savior frowned beneath her mask, or at least mimicked half of what a frown should be with the upper section of her eyes. While she had been talking to the potential victim someone had come up and taken him away from her, spouting several words she didn't understand and denying her the chance to end the poor creature's suffering. What Savior had offered was a mercy, really, and she was a bit peeved that they didn't see it that way. Would they have preferred that he just bleed out and die right then and there? Wouldn't they panic from the dead body too? The different species and races still hadn't quite clicked in Savior's mind just yet so she couldn't understand that not everyone was a monster or that not everyone was capable of being properly digested. At the very least she was able to tell boys from girls, but sometimes that was a stretch given the nature of half the students of Amityville.

While it probably would have been in the Marrowstripe's best interests to drop the stupid idea and go lay down somewhere she seemed a bit too preoccupied with the fact that she could ease the suffering of the boy they'd pulled away. She lowered her hands from her mask as she watched the direction the small group went off in and she shook her head for a moment before walking back over, pausing before the group with her arms crossed over her chest. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other while her brain tried to process what she could say, what she could possible string together in an attempt to make them understand.

She had to eat Bul, it was for the good of all of them. Maybe. It was certainly for her own good, that was true, but how could she make the rest of them see that?

"Dying. Misery. Eat, help." Savior pointed her finger at Bul, motioning up and down with whatever message she was trying to convey. It probably wasn't working but she thought that she was making a good argument for her case. "Dead bad. Eat, help." West liked to repeat things when he talked to Savior so the monster figured that doing this for others might be the key in proper communication. At the very least her point was a lot clearer.

Of course though it seemed that everyone was against Savior going out and eating someone who was already dying. What did they do with their injured then, treat them? Races other than Marrowstripes, more specifically anyone other than Savior, had the poor monster confused. She looked over to West and sighed, her arms still crossed over her chest. "Eat help. Understand."

Feeling very uncomfortable by the Marrowstripe's presence, Bul gave another somewhat fierce snarl, this time able to muster up the strength to get his tail writhing around behind him angrily. He had Seiji to thank for the crutch. "Get away... you.... or I'll eat... YOU and then... I'll use your guts... for my next... snot ball.." That is, if he lived to make another snot ball. In fact Bul forgot entirely about the object stowed away in his pocket... the nasty thing.

"And... and don't.... think I won't..." he grumbled. Letting out a snort, the half-beast looked around and elbowed Seiji a tad. "Yo make sure... you got... something to... hit her..." After that Bul lifted two fingers to his eyes then turned them around and pointed them at Savior in an 'I'm watching you' gesture.

Narrowing her eye's some at Saviour's words, she shook her head, keeping her voice as solemn as she possibly could. "I think your just as insane for even thinking that. If your that hungry, eat your arm, because not one of us here will let you even try it."

What was this? Was she seriously planning on eating him? As much as she would like to believe this was just a joke, not once did she get the impression it was.. and people called her crazy! This ghoul was on a whole new level of insanity.

Looking to West and the others, she began to wonder if they knew of anything like this happening before.

Aurian blinked at the sudden turn of the conversation. It took a few moments to parse being hungry to Saviour wanting to eat Bul. She did a double-take in Saviour's direction, eyes huge.

"No, no," she said, running over to Saviour's side. Eyebrows were nearly as high as her voice, both raised in concern. "You can't eat other students."

Aurian tried to remain calm and soothing. Calling Saviour insane wouldn't help the situation. Aurian thought it might be a Marrowstripe thing, after hearing what the males were like. Saviour sounded like she was trying to help; she just didn't understand why it wasn't wanted.

"Bul is hurt, but he's not dying yet. He wants to get better. It might take some time for him to heal, but you can't eat him, okay?" she tried to explain. Actually, it might be better to lay down some rules. She doubted anyone wanted to be eaten even if they were dying. "No eating students. That's bad. I'll make you yummy cookies when we get off the island if you promise not to eat students. Please?"

They had enough problems without fights breaking out. And trying to eat a student would definitely start a fight.

Of course, the key did nothing to budge the door - what did they expect, it was bent after all. As the last of the students meandered, stumped, angry, they might have noticed that their little group had one very strange addition in the mix.

"Why are you guys hitting that door? Is that what people do for fun these days?"

Ignoring the proximity of the students entirely, it bent over to examine the lock. "Oh I see, its nothing a good old pick can't fix, and I just happen to have one of them." The figure patted down both sides of its coat before pulling something out from its right pocket: a very intricate set of lockpicking tools. "Okay how about this, I'll give you these to pick the lock if-" here, they took one sizeable step back away from the crowd -"you entertain me for the oh, lets say next five minutes or so. Deal?"

Without waiting for a yes or no from the puzzled students, they attacked, sweeping out with their weapon, sending all students skidding backwards into the hall.

Jove's ears flattened at Junko's hair petting, more because he had already set a precedence than because he disliked the action. It was downright comforting right about now. After all the fear and uncertainty the mundane gesture was reassuring and reminded him of when things had been normal.

His ears perked at the mention of eating other students, and then his eyes went wide with shock. Hopefully that ghoul wasn't serious! If she was hungry, he could always go out and try to find more mushrooms...

But before that, he had to give the weird shaped key a try himself. Just to be sure... He took the key from Sin and trotted over to the door, and then attempted to turn the key and unlock the door with a childish lack of finesse. No luck. However, when the strange voice spoke up his eyes went wide with surprise, and he did the first thing he could think of. Which was to throw that Jackdamned key at the attacker, as hard as possible.

So hard in fact, he pulled his wound from earlier in addition to nailing the figure pretty good.
