Before going after the squid again, Aksaja had landed on the deck for a moment, only to be punched by Viveca. "Hey, ow! I was trying to help!" he protested, turning to watch as she threw her SHOE at the monster. And actually did damage with it.
Damn. Remind him not to get her more pissed off.
But at least her fury seemed to be directed at the squid now. Which meant, time for another attack! Waitasecond. Wouldn't it be a better idea to be, perhaps, a little LARGER here?
With a quick grin, Aksaja stayed on that deck for a few more minutes - long enough to shift into his natural form. Then he took to the skies again, roaring . . . now possessing much larger claws, a mouth full of sharp teeth, and being closer to the size of the damn squid. Diving downward, he spun in the air to smack the thing with his tail. It didn't do quite so much damage as his other attacks had, but maybe it would make the squid loosen it's grip a bit.

Viveca found a small knife on deck. One of those random 'ship-y' things, she guessed. She wasn't about to question it.
Before she tried to use it for anything, she turned it on her dress, giving herself a large slit up both sides of her dress, from hem to thigh. Ahhh, freedom.
She ran along the railing, slashing at tentacles trying to creep their way up.

Well she OBVIOUSLY wasn't going to get to dance, which just seemed to fuel her rage more. She watched as Vivi hucked her heels at the squid and decided to follow suit. She yanked her heel off her injured leg and felt her ankle throb a bit, damn...that hurt. She braced herself and then threw the 5 inch heel right at the squid for another 6 damage. She was pretty angry at this point, oh but she still had another heel where that came from!

Sin had mentioned 'dining' on this 'calamari' stuff tonight, right? Which made him think of biting the thing, though he wasn't entirely sure this thing would taste good . . .
Oh well. ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT. With another roar, the dragon dove down and clamped jaws around a tentacle, yanking backwards for a moment before letting go. Yeeecchh, okay no. Definitely didn't taste good. Still, it did some damage, so that was good.

Sin yanked off her other heel and aimed she threw it but it landed with a little less force dealing 5 damage. She winced a bit noticing that her ankle wasn't just gonna feel better magically anytime in the near future. Still that didn't mean she didn't still have some fight left in her. She wanted that damn squid off the damn boat right now jack dammit! She might have stomped her foot for effect but that probably wouldn't have ended very well.

Viveca laughed to see Sin chuck her shoes, that must have been hard for her to do! Maybe as hard as if Viveca only had her tools to throw.
Speaking of tools, she ran back to the rope, tied it around the handle of the knife and swung it in one hand, before letting it fly, hitting the squid with the knife, but not slicing it nearly as much as she wanted.

Well, since it had tasted pretty nasty, Aksaja wasn't about to try biting the thing again on this pass. Instead, he aimed for another tentacle and attempted to grab it with his foreclaws.
"GET OFF OUR BOAT!!" he roared - but he missed actually locking down a hold, claws scraping off slimey flesh. It did a little bit of damage but not very much. Damn.

Sin yanked the rope again, but really with one leg hurting, no shoes, and wearing a fancy dress she only managed a tug. Still a tentacle tug was a tentacle tug, and the squid did take 2 damage. Sadly this rampant beast still seemed to have fight and energy left in him. She just wanted the darn thing away before it grabbed someone else. She had to admire the monster though it had tenacity, granted that just made her want to stab it...hard.

All right, nasty as it tasted, his jaws were obviously stronger than legs and claws. So, steeling himself for the foulness, Aksaja climbed high into the air and then dove down on the thing again, jaws open wide.
"CALAMARIIIIIII!!!" he roared his adopted battle-cry again, this time clamping onto the main body and shaking his head back and forth viciously. He was forced to let go after a moment before he gagged but he did have the satisfaction of seeing long bloodied gashes where his teeth had penetrated and scraped along flesh.

Viveca reeled the knife rope back in, swinging and letting it fly for a second time. After it just hit him, again not cutting into the squid-y flesh, she wondered if this was the right approach.
What else could they do??

Viveca pulled the knife back off the rope, deciding to just slash. The hacking method seemed to work better, as she cut into the tentacles creeping up the front of the ship.
Teach him for grabbing her off the boat!
She looked up at the damage Aksaja was doing to the creature, and cheered him on. The thing seemed to be weakening!

Sin gave the rope another weak tug, she could feel her energy flagging, she almost lost her grip when she laughed. She couldn't help but laugh, the sight of Aksaja yelling 'calamari' while taking a chomp out of a giant squid. Really the image was priceless, she might have taken a picture with her eyephone if the situation wasn't so perilous. Did the dragon boil even know what calamari was? Oh how delicious it would be if they sliced one of these tentacles off...fried it up maybe with some butter or vinegar dressing...a feast. Her mouth watered as she remembered all the fine dining she had once experienced with her parents.

Eeeccchh that was such a nasty taste! He couldn't believe Sin was talking about EATING this thing. If he'd even heard her right. Couldn't really be sure with the wind in his ears and all.
Flying at the squid again, he slashed out with claws in a fly-by attack, but the tentacle he was aiming at moved at the last moment, meaning he didn't do as much damage. This thing. Needed to DIE already.

She kicked at one of the purple tendrils snaking on the deck. It did a bit of damage, but she had forgotten she wasn't wearing her nice platform boots, and ended up hurting her big toe more than she damaged the GIANT SQUID.

Time for another go! This stupid squid was very persistent apparently, and Aksaja found himself glad that the dragons back home didn't live ANYWHERE near the ocean, if there were things like this in it. Had it not been trying to devour the boat (for some reason), the thing would definitely have been a match for any of the larger dragons where he came from. Well, maybe.
With a wordless roar, the lightning dragon dove down, latching onto a tentacle with claws and then yanking - at the same time loosening his hold just a bit so that those claws raked bloody furrows down the length of said tentacle.
