Glancing at Barth when he gestured for which route to take, Mei tapped her finger against her cheek in thought. It didn't take much time before she followed the boil over. "Well, any direction is suicide, but I'm up to taking this route."

Eying the ghost ghoul, Kasumi, Mei gave a quick shake of her head. "I don't think it would be wise to go off by yourselves. But.. If you need a volunteer.." Shoving the black mutt forward, she gave a little snicker. "Tybalt volunteers!" She was kidding of course. Or was she..?

Ren studiously ignored any of the protests Gabrian might have squawked in his direction, putting a hand up to steady the snake curled around his neck, his other arm going around LW's shoulders to keep her calm. She was shivering, nerves and anxiety making her jumpy, and he leaned over, pressing a reassuring kiss to the side of her head.

"Relax," he said. "It'll be fine."

Ren's golden eyes traced the lines of the objects around him, taking in the situation. It certainly was a rather dismal scene, everyone nervous and confused, a few irritable. he glanced over at one particular boil standing a few feet away, shifting his feet awkwardly.

"I like Sloth Boil's idea," Ren said, indicating where Barth was gesturing. "Seems....well, it's better than just standing here, I guess."

Besides, Gabrian is heavy. Great JACK, who knew a snake could weigh so much?

Ever so slowly as the others kept throwing out ideas, the she-wolf began to calm down a little. Her hold on the gryphon eased and the petting on Gabe lessened. Now she was standing next to them both, arms crossed and tail slowly moving. "I'm trying." She responded to Ren. LW was still uncomfortable and a little freaked out, but the longer they stood here and she got some breathing space in, she started to relax. And may possibly help the others think of some way to cross that dark wasteland with all the moving boxes.

She remained quiet and looked around them to see what they might possibly be able to use to assist them. Her gaze went back to the blacktop and her eyes narrowed while she tried to see towards the other side. Surely there had to be a way for them all to...some what safely make it across!

"Wha?!" Her ears picked up the words 'Human World'. Oh Jack! Was that were they were? The she-wolf frowned all over again. Could they really be in that world? Were they any sort of signs they would recognize that could confirm this? Ah man her head was hurting now. And why did it have to be so bright?!

LW watched as they all seemed to be deciding on throwing something. "I...I don't think something that...small is going to do any damage. Or if it does, what if one of those things comes towards us?" They didn't really have anywhere else to go. Her violet eyes widened as she heard a ghost (who sounded familiar) ask if another ghost would walk across with her. Well, hadn't the she-wolf said once already that a ghost would be best right now?

Nose twitching from all the scents around them, LW stroked the serpent again and spoke to both Gabrian and Ren. "I can help carry him." She pointed towards the half of Gabe that was dragging on the ground. It wasn't like she would mind having a serpent around her shoulders.

Malodore nodded its thanks to Riley, opening its beak a bit in a small smile as it shifted Luce back to her previous cuddle-position. "Aksaja is right," it said, glancing at the lightning dragon. "We should attempt tosses in a direction where we can retrieve the projectiles... otherwise, we could lose all of these without gaining any ground. I would rather something larger, but..."

In reply to Amrita's question on how they would stop the moving vehicles, Astra could only shrug. "I...don't know..." They were moving so fast, and they appeared really big..at least to her any way. As for Sarias Idea of throwing gabrian she blanched. She didn't want to throw someone!

She listened to the various ideas that people suggested. When Jericho asked if there was any reapers here, She looked as if she was about to raise her hand, but then stopped as it became clear why they wanted a reaper. Her little antenna seemed to droop as she sighed. She was a reaper, but her weapon was far from sharp. And it would be some time before she could do anything about it.

The idea that this could be the human world popped up, and she thought this could be true. She had heard stories about humans...but nothing like this. So while it could be true, she wasn't to sure. But now wasn't the time to ponder about that, it seemed Malodore had come up with a plan to stop the grey boxes from moving - by throwing a scalpel at the wheels.

Which left her to be slightly nervous,as she continued to watch the things whiz past them at incredible speeds. And it appeared that LW had similar concerns to her. 'I dunno if this is a good idea..." she said to Malodore and Riley "I know we need to stop them...but LW has a point. If we attack one of them with a scalpel, then what happens to the rest? what if they try to attack us?"

At the mention of having a ghost scout forward, Jericho frowned and shook his head.

"That's too risky. In Christmas town ghosts were unable to phase through solids... there's even less FEAR here so you might not be as immune to being slammed with something big as you think," he pointed out, ".. Like with the throwing the knife thing... try it out first. We have these things blocking our paths on the other sides so go test to see if you can go through them."

He was well aware Ren tended to ignore his protests, which was why he'd settled down as quickly as he had. They'd fallen into a sort of routine and the familiarity of it was sort of welcoming in this strange place; Gabrian would b***h, argue and growl, Ren would smirk, laugh and then... pretty much did as he wanted to anyhow. For some odd reason it usually involved the nix being pulled or dragged one way or another. As such, being picked up while jarring, hadn't been entirely unexpected.

His head lowered from where he'd arched it and he flopped it lazily on top of the gryphon's as he leaned in to reassure LW, "I like the walking idea much more, actually, come to think of it," he was well aware he was agreeing with the boil carrying him, but whatever, "Despite my earlier claims, I'm no longer too sure how this place affects us. While ghosts are hard to harm... my abilities seem to be negated. What if theirs are too?" he didn't care to know what would happen. His gaze lowered as he felt the gryphon shift, and he let out a sigh; he was past the arguing for now. It didn't seem like a good idea right now, "I can slither, you know. You guys don't need to carry me. I'll live. It's better than the snow at any rate. You don't need to go through all this," he was well aware just how heavy he was.

He turned to look at the zooming, speeding boxed before he shook his head. He had no idea if they were in the human world, or some other dimension or... whatever, "I always thought we needed a passport to get to the human world. And back," he motioned towards Tybalt, "I think he might be right. This might not be the humans' world. Let's hope it's not, for our sake."

As time passed, he did notice that LW's hand had slowed it' caresses and he turned to watch her from where he'd perched his head on Ren, "You don't need to carry me, love. I'm fine, really. Neither does Ren," though he wasn't going to lie; it was welcome, "I really don't like the idea of one of those things coming at us..."

((omg, I'm so confused as to what's going on, someone tell my girl what to do))

Holly didn't know what was going on. One moment they were in the foggy forest and someone had retrieved the shiny thing from the tree. The next it was brighter and blue and who knew. Boils and ghouls seemed to be scrambling around. "So guys, what's going on. What can I do?" She didn't like just watching. She looked to Kasumi. "I can help."

Lilith wasn't quite sure what was going on but she was here, with a bunch of people. Mind you, she was behind everyone else but she was there. She hadn't quite done the same as everyone else who was here, but somehow she had still ended up in this place, gripping tightly to her soul orb. It was weird, first thing she knew she was in the forest and then she was here. It was just weird. She found her eyes narrowing and looking around for anything familiar.

"Where..." was all she said.

----------

Behind Lilith was Lucien, much in a daze. He had been following the reaper. She was just so shiny. Her trail on her outfit was shiny, and the orb in her hands was shiny. He really wanted to touch it but every time he got close she'd be even further away. He was almost close to her when he found himself suddenly in a strange place. He almost immediately forgot he was trying to see the shiny orb she had, and his eyes instead were trying to see where he was. This... was not a forest. Lucien shook his head, blinked a few times. Oh come on, even Lucien was not that out of it. How did he end up here! How did he manage to go from a forest to... here? These questions haunted the air spirit.

Sniff sniff. The air felt different?

Alcyone wasn't sure what was going on but she had seen the mist rolling through Amityville. This would be a perfect time to snoop around... Students and professors would be hidden away in their rooms but little did she know about the chanting. As she was lurking around on campus, Alcie began to hear the faint chanting and of course her curiosity was piqued. She began to walk closer to Breck's shed and the woods were rather creepy tonight... The water demon began to hear voices in the distance and realized that there were a lot of students wandering about.

Calling out softly, she didn't want to attract too much attention. "Hello? Who's out there?" There were so many voices but she was relatively close to Gabrian though she couldn't make out any of the voices. The fog was getting pretty thick. Frowning, Alcie continued through the woods and tried to keep an eye out to where the chanting was coming from. She could feel her heart beginning to pump a little faster and that familiar adrenaline beginning to fill her bloodstream.

Sin wasn't looking for excitement or adventure, she was done trying to get through Breck's shed. She had managed once and was grateful to still be alive and not stuck in detention. She was walking through the fog with a faint yawn and some books tucked in her arms. Sin liked to study late so there was less chance of being seen, she didn't want a reputation as a bookworm or anything. Her eyes narrowed a bit as the fog thickened and she blinked as she looked around and frowned. Uh oh...had she gotten turned around somehow? This didn't look like the way back to the demon dorms, though it was hard to tell with all the fog.

She jumped a bit when she thought she heard a sound and whipped around moving to hold her books up like weapons. She was gonna whack some idiot in the head if he tried to scare her. She huffed and then looked around again still mildly concerned.

"Hello? Is anyone th-" Before she could finished her sentence the world seemed to tilt she gasped as her stomach went rolling, her books dropping out of her hands. She stood shaking and looked around at a group of students, some familiar, and some new to her.

"What in the name of Jack?!" Then she stared wide eyed at the zooming moving metal boxes. What where those? Where was she? How had everyone gotten here?

"You're late AGAIN and you want ME to wait at the bus stop? David, I swear to god, if you bail on me again, I will end you." It was just a figure of speech really, but Sara wanted to make sure that her boyfriend got it into his thick skull that she meant business. She had just finished her last shift at Pizza Hut and the last thing she was tolerant for was a late boyfriend. Or soon to be ex-boyfriend. Ugh, she was only using him for his money anyway.

Not to mention David had bad taste. Said meeting place - or bus stop really - was right in front of an old cemetery. Granted, the cemetery was rather well kept, thanks to the raised taxes in the city, but the creepy gravestone markers did nothing to placate the neatly trimmed grass. Strike two for her soon-to-be-ex David, he had extremely bad taste.

While Sara stood there, waiting for David to magically appear - hopefully - off one of the straggling buses that actually stopped at this godforsaken station, something caught her eye. She turned around, slowly, dramatically slowly, and took a good look at the cemetery, staring straight at Ren and Gabrian. A couple of seconds passed before she finally opened her mouth.

"God, this cemetary is so uggggllyyyyy why are you doing this to me David?!" Granted, noone else was actually around to hear her little rant, but once her boyfriend showed up...

Alessa had been out hopping about, minding her own business, when a fog rolled in. Or maybe she just failed to notice it was there, as things looked different when you were smaller. Suddenly, though, making her way through it, she saw students racing toward...something. She shifted back into her humanoid form, jogging over to see what was going on...before she could really reach anyone and ask, though, something happened.

...She found herself face first in the grass. At first she'd thought she'd fallen, but when she got up (Jack, her head hurt!), she was a bit closer to all the students and...the setting was unfamiliar. Discomfort twisted her something and she sensed something wasn't right. She made her way through the students, trying to find someone familiar, anyone, as she tried to suppress her panic. "G-guys?" she called out, swallowing. Thank Jack she wasn't a rabbit right now. She felt disoriented and somehow she knew...they weren't in the woods anymore.

The fog had been strange that night, and Draven had gone exploring. Once or twice he thought he had heard other students, but that fog had been thick as anything he’d ever seen before. He’d followed voices, and tried to pick his way through the woods. Until he was, well, just a little bit lost. Not really lost, but his bearings had been a bit off.

That was when it happened. He wasn’t really sure what it was, but it had happened. He felt the sensation of falling but not, and suddenly as it had started it stopped. Draven readjusted his footing to regain his balance, and took in the scene around him. Well, he had indeed found other students, but the whole of his attention was on this new place they’d ended up. He simply stood and stared, trying in vain to make sense of it.

While they were still mulling things over, Jericho paused as he heard an unfamiliar voice in the area. Turning, he saw some girl wearing strange clothes ranting about something. Late? Who was late? For that matter, who was she talking to?

Wait...

Was this a human before them? The dragon's eyes widened at the thought of it. She didn't seem like a Halloweener despite the fact that she could potentially be a Reaper. Though, she wasn't freaking out around them, so he couldn't be certain. That is, until she stared at Ren and Gabe only to comment on how ugly this place was.

"I don't think she can really see us..." he mused, "Does anyone know if humans are supposed to be able to see us?"

If anything, he now knew they were at a cemetary.

"Hey... should we try to scare her somehow?" Jericho added, grinning rather deviously at the thought. The grin soon faded as another came to mind "Or... should we just keep an eye on her? maybe she knows how to get to the other side.
