Angel looked at his blond hair. There were a few dark grays coming through. "Well I'm older and I felt old the moment that I notice I could get around as much." the German commented. Giving a playful glare at his friend reminding him that it was his doing. "I don't want to think that I have lived for more than have a century." He added.

He chuckled reaching over and patting the giant on the shoulder "Well, we may not like thinking about it but we do and their isn't a thing we can do." Devlin said before coughing a bit and adding under his breath "Unless we became bloodsuckers." but shook the thought dismissively

Angel moved back a bit on that idea. He didn't like the thought of living forever. "Nah. I rather take up with the dead that turn into a creature. We all know that the only thing I want is a pretty girl and a good old good time." The man commented. "By the way that person you were with earlier had some mighty fine hips." Angel commented remembering his first glance around the bar.

The man smiled which was somewhat at Angels comment about the bar mistress and chuckled a little bit shaking his head and looking towards the ceiling "Oh damn I figured you'd have gotten E.D by now." Devlin joked but then thought for a moment "I don't know how else to reply to that." he said smiling.

Angel chuckled. "Me? Never? You wouldn't see anything sagging with me around." The man joked. "So do you have your eye on any little lady." The man commented. He knew well about the whole Ginger thing. They all lived the same little town for a while and Ginger still had her family there.

Shaking his head and laughing Devlin sighed afterwords. "A couple maybe." he said and then frowned "So you ever figure out what happened to Trey's ma, you guys looked like you could go the distance, an she was a right freak in the shits if memory serves." Devlin said chuckling.

"Funny story." Angel commented. "Turns out she was a werewolf." He explained. "She pasted her genes to Trey and now he's one too and so is his girl." The man answered. Explaining why she disappeared here and there then went away all together.

Frowning a look of realization came upon Devlin's face as he finally understood."Ah." Devlin said drawing the word out after a moment then sighed shaking his head. "Yea, that would explain things, We all know I disappeared and knew why, I was a soldier at heart still am but, something clicked inside my head six months back." Devlin said "And with the emergence of some new qualities I turned to teaching." Devlin said shrugging.

"You are as much of a soldier as I am a cop. It's in our blood right. Our fathers and so on." Angel agree with the idea of what was at heart. "So what are you teach? I'm here teaching German." the blonde asked as he pushed back his hair. He looked around the bar for a 'no smoking' sign.

Looking at Angel's fidgeting Devlin could have laughed and pulled out a cigarette and gestured to the stump of a cigar in his ashtray. "Calm down you crack head we can smoke. " He said chuckling and lit his menthol cigarette with a match casually flicking it with a quick motion of his wrist and tossing the useless thing into the tray. Leaning back a little bit the leather of his black coat creaking as he did so Devlin took a deep drag of his cigarette "Well, my father worked on houses for a living but your right about it being in my blood, and I teach politics and economics." Devlin said after a moment taking a deep breath having exhaled the smoke as he spoke.

Once Angel was sure it was fine he pulled out his smokes and took his lighter to the end of one. He was happy when the end had an orange ring around it and took a goo puff. "Ah. Life's finest. At least I'm not a real drug addict anymore. I light things up that are a little more legal these days." The man commented.

Looking around Devlin chuckled and thwacked Angel on the nose "No don't speak of it we must make good impression on young minds." He said suppressing a chuckle he could care less though he knew how people were and they were going to do things whether anyone else liked it or not. "Oh what am i talking about sitting here smokin a cigarette and drinking, least i stopped smoking the herb long before I went to peachland." Devlin stated.

"You maybe." Angel pointed out as he took another drag. "I didn't stop tell a few years before Trey was born." The man added. He was enjoying himself. "I was lucky I didn't get my a** arrested and booted from being a police officer." Angel remembered his several close calls.

"Yea, there are those moments that make you wonder what if.' Devlin commented and then coughed rather painfully for a couple minutes. and took a deep breath after a moment "Well, that tells me that's still acting up." Devlin said absentmindedly and grasped his chest for a moment trying to sooth his muscles and lunges through his chest and ribs.

Scytheress smiled. She liked this girl! She took up a tray of dirtied glasses one of the waitresses had dropped off while she'd been talking with Devlin and set them by the small sink behind the bar. Switching the water back on, she began to rinse and wash the dishes out, "Astronomy? I'm afraid I don't know any scientific knowledge on the subject, just personal observations." Focused on her task, the fox didn't notice what the girl had been doing until she heard the hiss of steam from the glass. She glanced up at the heated liquid and tried to repress a chuckle but failed. "Ya know if you wanted hot water ya could have jes' asked." Scythe hardly ever had a noticeable accent but sometimes it slipped out when she was excited, and considering her brewing plans with Devlin and the discovery of a girl who could actually control her abilities, she was quite tickled.
Scy sniffed the air as the aroma from the tea was picked up by the gentle currents from the over-head fans. She was about to inquire as to the type of tea, whether it was just basic red tea or a special home blend, when she suddenly hissed. She glanced down quickly at her hands and the quickly reddening water. As she'd slid her hand into one of the glasses to clean its interior, the chipped lip sliced the soft skin between her thumb and fore finger. "Dracu, aoleu!... Ssss... bucată de sticlă prost."* She kept her voice hushed as she cursed in one of her native tongues. She'd already dropped the glass into the sink where it clamored against the bottom harmlessly and now gripped her wounded hand with her other. She reached for a dish rag and wrapped it over the cut and applied pressure. As the sting and flow subsided, she flashed a renewed smile back to the poor girl at the bar. "My apologies, that usually doesn't happen."
