Breic arched an eyebrow at Vic. It was quite the impressive lift. "What proof do you have that anyone walked out of here is safe? The word of the train staff? Who locked us in here in the first place? The same train staff you were accusing of being the attacker, not long ago? We haven't heard a peep from anyone taken out, have we? For all you know, they were put off in cars on their own and whatever or whoever this thing is has already finished them off."

"So I'll take my chances in here where, if this thing's found out, we might all be able to gang up and stop it, rather than being locked off in some other car, out of sight and out of help, thank you very much."

{Fauste be thinking it might be Breic, just ti be safe.}

Fauste scowled; while most of the passengers were smart enough to actually slow down and listen to what others had to say, some of them were still throwing one baseless accusation after another. He had already decided that Haku was innocent, but they sent him away anyway. Heh, maybe its better; you don't have to endure stupidity from anyone and if the offender is really from this cabin, it might be safer to wait it out in the next cabin. Sighing, he tuned into the current debate; it was almost painful to watch, but the Necromancer decided to keep his mouth shut.

Perlie's change in tone pleased him; it would help to not be offending after all. He glanced at the seat where the most recent victim was; Breic seems too conveniently located when the attack happened, most of them were agreeing on this. However, Fauste couldn't help but think that he was too conveniently located... Perhaps he was over-thinking things? Either way, if they decide to send him away but another student falls, it would be a sure way to prove his innocence, although at the expense of someone's health.

"Fair enough," Fauste replied the skinwalker before turning towards the crowd, "So. We've determined that the attacker - or attackers - are fast or possibly magical in nature, so it doesn't require much physical movements?"

((Still Breic!))

"When'd I ever say it was the train staff?" Vic frowned ruefully at Briec. Never once had she suggested such a mutinous thing! In her mind, if the Captain of the vessel was rotten, the ship was going under no matter what you did about it - so why would you even say such a thing?

Unless, of course, a mutiny was what you WANTED.

"Bloody unlikely, mate. If it's the officer on deck what's got it out for us, we ain't seeing the end of this trip, sure as the wind blows," the ghost sneered. "Unless you're suggesting we take up arms and take over the train? Cuz I gotta tell ya, mate, that sort of treachery don't sit right with me."

Jack had a soft spot for those in need - any one could see that with how many cats he had taken up since he started his journey to the school from his orphanage. It was just in him to give a helping hand, and he had no clue where the hell that shade of Seeing Lumi droop so much in her chair hit a cord in him, and finally got him out of his seat that - for a while - he assumed he was glued to perminently.

Feeling the weight of Zwei, and the telltale feeling of claws digging into skin in alarm, he knew that Zwei was coming along for the ride, and giving his original seatmates a quick glance in parting, he took a few languid steps across the the cabin. His heels clicked softly, and jewelry ringing out in the air, breaking the conversations and statements zinging across the cabin in breakneck speeds, before he stopped and leaned down onto one knee comfortably, in front of the ghost, his glowing eyes looking up at her as she slumped down in her seat, looking remarkably down-troddened.

"I'm sure she's fine, dear, he murmured to her, trying to be calming in his words, without breaking into any song. This was not the time for any music. It was also very difficult. "They did bring her to the sick bay, I'm sure she's over there, fit as a fiddle after losing a string. and then finding it again. . . er." he trailed feeling a familiar glower of the second cat in his entourage - a 'shut up stupid' - before shrugging. "She'll be fine." He decided to go with, before standing up, picking a booth chair and setting it next to her.

It was the weak of will who crumbled first, so he decided he would try to at least be there to help her calm down a little. Ears flinching at all the noise, he crossed one leg over the other and his arms over his chest, now that he was beside a weaker link. He felt better about that. Looking to Fauste, he nodded softly, returning to the conversation at hand, as his feline friend attempted to further get attention from the reaper beside him.

"You," Breic tried to clarify, making a broad gesture meant to encompass the whole car. "It. Doesn't matter," he decided abruptly, put his hands behind his head and leaned back into his seat again. "I've said what I'm going to say." He closed his eyes.

"Turnin' us all 'gainst each other might be just what the whomper wants us to do," Puck interjected, almost cheerfully. "Turn us all 'gainst - then ev'ryone's suspicious. But make us all happy friends and 'e gets away with it more 'n' more. A puzzle, a puzzle!"

((Balumf is thinking the same thing about Briec, but isn't going to say so just yet...))
Balumf nodded at what Vic had said.
"You have a point there." she said, "He's certainly closest to where she was sitting."
"And think on this- Perhaps the attack had a strange 'benefit'. Maybe he didn't want her to be confused anymore."
Balumf was proud of that deduction.
"On the other hand, what if he's framed? Maybe he and the d... Haku saw something but didn't know it?"
She was starting to wonder about Haku, but he hadn't left the car until after the attack... So who knows?
Balumf looked towards Fauste.
"Perhaps its someone's Fear ability that went bezerk? Something like that?"
"Hmm"
She watched Breic carefully.
Would a killer who didn't want to get caught give up so easily?
Maybe. Maybe its a ploy.
She continued to think, relaxing a bit more. Her crest and spines started to go back to their flattened not-spiky state.

((Kentarou is still keeping his mouth shut.))

Kentarou found it slightly puzzling himself there was something missing from this story. The fact that he was calling what is happening into a story is on a whole other thing. Sadly he was lost in his own way of thinking and wouldn't speak. He is still upset about being here but he will put that off for later. Now he was in quite the predicament to join in or to not. He has always been a very antisocial person.

Kentarou just sighed and switched arms his left arm was going numb. He fiddled with his watch in his pocket pulling it out checking the time. It was an old fashion gold pocket watch attached to a gold chain linked to a belt loop. He closed it and looked back up at the group. To him the most logical choice would be somebody that could move without being seeing.

If it were a duo then anyone that had claws would be a suspect. Since the first person was cut and the second was taken out with the lights on. Kentarou opened his mouth without thinking "we are all in quite the predicament aren't we? No matter what we say we won't know the real answer till all but one stands." He sighed and looked back down at his book.

((Andrugora is beginning to suspect Breic, but is keeping her opinion to herself for the moment.))

Andrugora had been startled when her seat mate spoke up. She couldn't help but think he was right. This was getting creepier and creepier and not in the good way. Andrugora had been listening intently to the others and some of the things said were outright ridiculous. Some were more than she wanted to think about at the moment.

She started as the cat-demon - Jack, wasn't it? - knelt in front of her; the surprise wasn't long in lasting. In fact, Lumi was feeling brave enough to bare him a timid smile as his consoling speech turned to fiddles and digression. "You've got rhythm," she mentioned, offhand - and in the closest thing to a thank you that she could muster without getting too...corny? Mushy? Something of that sort. Lumidee appreciated his company nonetheless. Her hand reached slowly out to Jack's feline friend, but seeing it occupied, faltered and fell back into her lap.

Lumi's form flashed in-and-out of visibility as she turned to Fauste on her other side, listening to his take on the whole matter so far...but she was still stuck on entirely separate matters. Namely, Salali. Ahikiko, too: there was something bothering her about those who now lay in sickbay. Not to mention Jack, who had only come over to sit with her after she'd mentioned the departed... Lumidee cautioned herself to remember that, no matter how nice it was, kindness was not vindication.

She was still slumped back in her chair. Slowly at first, her voice rose to a level that everyone but the most raucous might be able to hear. "I still think we're missing something. Stop looking at how they got hurt, but when: Salali after speaking her fear of the lights, and Ahikiko after confronting Haku. And he was covered in scratches, like a book might have done, you know? The book that Ahikiko had just touched... So it's someone really, um," she faltered. "Someone really paying attention, right?" Lumi hadn't thought any farther than that. But it was something besides blameless accusations, at least.

If Oliver was within earshot of Ghaun, the host would have probably had several choice words for the student. Possibly even some shocking revelations, however the host wasn't in the room at the moment. After Haku had been moved to the other cabin, the reaper stood with this backed to the closed and locked door to the other cabin, shifting his weight nervously. It wasn't his fault that he was here. He preferred first class, where while the passengers were demanding, he didn't have to put up with them for that long. Not to mention those in first class weren't as bratty as the ones here. He wasn't a baby sitter!

He cringed when the lights went out. Again. Except when the lights were back on, there wasn't a dead body to be seen. No one was slumped over, cut, or in pieces.

Rather, there were two that were in the process of becoming injured. Betty was in the process of attempting to shove some sort of baked good into her assailant's mouth, who was quick to spit it aside as he strove to kick and punch. It wasn't the sort of self-defense kicking, however -- it appeared that Breic was delivering well-aimed kicks with feet that were partially turned into his natural water horse hooves, making each blow quite painful to the witch.

With the two locked in combat as they were, Ghaun was at a loss to do. "Quick!" He shouted, "Please help me pull them apart! Subdue them both!

-------------
OOC:

OHO WHAT HAVE WE HERE? It appears that TWO bezerkers were unmasked when one attacked the other, and the other was accused of being one! Of course, given that they're both bezerkers, it's going to be rather tricky to get them both to cooperate considering how intent they are on each other...

Everyone please roll a 20-sided dice. Also include the name of the character you are attempting to subdue: Betty or Breic.

You do not need to accuse someone of being a bezerker for this round due to the turn of events. The non-student roles may continue their business as usual, should they choose and should any more be out there.

(Is trying to subdue Betty)
"What the...?!"
The sahuagin was no stranger to action. Balumf leapt over her seat in an epic leap and attempted to subdue Betty.
Breic, she would have guessed... But the plump witch?!
Never!

She had claws too, and teeth, which she bared as she shoved the witch with all her might.

((Also, LOL
Edit:
Again a LOL. I rolled a 1 XD
Epic FAIL.))

(( Holy. Crap! Trying to subdue Breic! ))

Kasumi jerked backwards. A woman? Really? She hoped one of her gender wasn't the perpetrator but she was caught - plain and simple. She still couldn't bring herself to try and jump the witch and instead made a grab for Breic with her hair.

((Wooow, trying to also subdue Breic!))

Oliver gave way to a slighted chuckle, eyes never leaving his napkin drawing, hindered only by his discomfort with yet another blame-game directed at him...thankfully after several minutes the conversation barreled on and his name, as well as Breic's regard to it, seemed to silence itself amongst the majority. Giving Fauste a quick glance, he agreed to the statement made in a whisper before busying himself with his pen.

But through all the chatter, the monster zeroed in on Puck. Being another one of the students he had rising suspicions of, Oliver did not bother offering a quick look but simply listened instead. There was a point made in all the babble the other boy spat, one that Oliver had toyed with on and off throughout the trip. When the group settled and there didn't seem to be much arguing, something attack would be made... but turning against one another sent, at the very least, one student to the accused cabin and riled the blood beneath each of them. This was quite the puzzle.

He also had to admit that Breic, no matter how keen others seemed to be in accusing him, didn't seem the type to--

wow.

Kicking, really? Hoofs? Necessary? Even OLIVER knew not to hit girls regardless of how catty they could be. Smart-mouthed or not, women were...women. Granted some of the girls at this school and across town weren't without some heavy artillery backing up their punches and slaps but still--if anything could be said about his parents, it would be that they taught him that much.

With great haste the monster was moving, almost impulsively so, over the table to join in on the action. His eyes darted once to the host, gritting his teeth before rushing to the fighting pair. So, maybe he was wrong...whatever.

With both paws Oliver reached out for Breic's forearms, growling.
