Dawnkit stopped licking at her fur at those words. Her whiskers felt like they were twisted in a bind ....as she pushes her paw against her whiskers as she pouted. It was as that silences came that she would hear it ....her pelt felt hot as she got up slowly from the floor and stalked over to Mothfur.
"Mothfur ....are you alright?"
She asks ....as she notices the strange pants, she didn't know why, but she felt her fur standing on end as she moves slowly towards him.

This isn't good... I'll have to tell her or else this will become worse... she thought, then, bracing herself, she meowed bluntly, "The kits are coming." between huffs. If she kept it to herself, she would be faced with a new fate, being she would probably die giving birth. "I don't know what to do... Sunnybreeze is out cold... and I can't stop kits from coming..."

Then he flicked his tail and headed towards the exit of camp. He turned his head and looked at Tigerfang, "I will be hunting if you need me." He then turned his back on her and left the camp.

When Sunkit was finished eating she looked around. She couldn't see Fallenpaw. "Now where did that worry wart get to..." she wondered

[Tigerfang felt an intense sense of emptiness as she saw Blackthorn pad out of camp. But as with all emotions, she pushed this feeling deep inside and locked it away with all her other worries.]
Idiot...I should make him clean the elders den for a moon... she thought bitterly.
[The pain in her paw had come back with a vengeance. She drew in a sharp breath through clenched teeth as she tried to put the weight off it.]

Dawnkit was at her side in a heartbeat then. Her fur stood straight up as she looked from left to right as though expecting someone to come. Though she was alone, and there was no one else ....as she forced her fur flat again and smiled lightly at her.
"Don't stop the kits then ....it will be alright." "Other cats have kits without medicine cats around ....I was probably born like that myself."
She declares softly.
The urge to panic was strong, but, somehow it felt wrong to do so. She drew herself close and brushed her cheek against Mothfur's.
"I am going to get another cat to help out ....surely one of the other Queens will remember what needed to be done." "I am sure that Berrystar herself would know, this is no big deal."
She was trying to sound calmer than she really was. Her entire body was shaken, and her voice trembled .....in her head ...yet in reality it was really really calm in appearance.
"I know you don't want to be a lone, but I must tell the others." "I will only be gone for a moment, so, just relax yourself ....okay ...stress isn't good for the kits."
Then Dawnkit retreated slowly. Her eyes still locked on Mothfur's form as she went outside of the cavern, and if Mothfur had thoguht she was calm her wail would stop all that ...as she shouted to the top of her lungs that Mothfur was kitting before she actually came back.
She could only hope that her clan members weren't all out somewhere ...as she comes back in slowly.
Carefully, she would draw one paw and press it against her belly lightly. She was feeling for the kits, she didn't know why she needed to do this, but somehow ...something ...no maybe it was more like some one was urging her to.
She closed her eyes lightly ....she was trying to see how many was in there, and ...to see if they were all position right. Though how she would know one from the other was a mystery to her ....as she just pokes lightly and carefully ...while declares softly.
"Everything will be alright ...I promise." "Just concentrate on bring new life to the clan, and you don't try to rush ...your kits will come when they are ready."

Amberpaw nearly jumped out of his pelt at the wail. He sped for the nursery and squeezed inside, "Mothfur's having her kits? Now?!" He asked. The normally calm apprentice was clearly stressed and scared as much as Dawnkit was. he had no idea what to do, he wasn't a medicine cat apprentice!

Dawnkit was never so happy to see the paw. The moment he was inside, she expected him to take over ....but she could see it like an undercurrent. He was just as out of it as she was on this subject as she hissed lowly and lashed her tail.
They couldn't afford to get too wrap up in their own fears, Mothfur's life was at stake.
"Yes, now, she can't hold them in."
"Since, you are here can you get me some wet moss, if you can find some, but wait .... the things I need right now ...is Chamomile and a stick." "Chamomile should be the medicine cat's den, it's a white flower with a yellow middle. It has very thin leaves, and hurry." "This looks like it might be a long one."
She declares calmly even though her entire body was tense. She was quick to go back to her task of simply pressing her pads to her side ...pushing, redirecting, trying to get everything going in the right way ...as she purrs lightly to Mothfur.
"I never imagine ...you would be the one to stress me out so much."
Mothfur so far had been her confident. As much as a mother to her as any cat could be, she couldn't possible stand by and watch her die.

Sunkit's eyes widened then she ran to them. She'd heard what was needed. "Any kinda stick in paraticular?" she asked ready to run to get it. "I'll get the Chamomile too. You said a white flower with a yellow middle and thin leaves right?"

Dawnkit almost hissed as she saw Sunkit, but shook her head. Grudges would have to wait until later, and besides, she was here to help her ...to help Mothfur.
Her tail flicks to one side as she looks down at her, and thinks about what to ask for.
"Yes, and A strong, thick stick, that she can bite on is what is needed." "Kitting is painful, and I want to relax her as much as possible ...or is the stick more so for focusing."
Dawnkit retorted to her and to herself in the same mew.

Sunkit nodded then ran out to the medicine den. She looked around quickly and when she spotted the flower she picked up a bunch then ran back to deliver it. "Be right back." she meowed before running back out to get the stick

Dawnkit was surprise had fast ....Sunkit had returned. She even brought back the right flower, maybe, she wasn't such a mousebrain afterall.
She thought as she smiles gently at Mothfur.
"It will be okay."
She declares lightly as she grabbed just one. She wouldn't need more than that, as she started to strip the petals from the flower until it was simply just the top and the stem. Then she brought it over to Mothfur ...as she places it in front of her mouth.
"Chew this, it won't make the pain go away, but it will sooth you." "You need to relax, if you relax, I bet it will be less painful."
Dawnkit replies gently as she waiting for her to take the stem and chew it. It was the juices inside of the stem that would do her the most good, and once it was gone ...the stuck would be needed next.

Sunkit saw the perfect stick it was practically twice her length and was super thick. She picked it up then waddled as fast as she could back to Dawnkit

Dawnkit was still trying to feel for the kits. Her anxious was growing the longer she struggled like this as she hoped that Mothfur would be okay.
This wasn't the time for a amuater, she shook her ears lightly. She tried to remember the words of the elders, their description of kitting before this, and her pelt felt hot as she tries to remember the stories correctly.
She had been curious about anything dealing with a medicine cat, and listening to them ...she had learned a bit. Though, she wished Sunnybreeze was here. She would know if it was right or wrong, she would do this right, she would make Mothfur stop hurting.
These thoughts were running through her brain when she heard the sound of Sunkit entering the cavern.
