"My name is Angel" she said confused at what had just happened but still speaking in her usual happy tone. She waved at the other person that was there, probably a butler of some sort, she guessed. "That was cool!" she said after seeing the evelope turn into ashes. Angel never saw anyone do that before, then again, she has mostly only been around humans.

"Well, Angel, I'm, afraid that this is an unusual time for us. Usually I'd give you a tour, but right now I'm a bit busy. Your quarters are on the top floor, third door in. Feel free to explore otherwise on your own but whatever you do," he said, gravely, "do not leave the house." He turned to his manservant. "Sergius, we are in full lock down. You know the procedure, as I've carefully planned this and we've had drills. Do you know the whereabouts of the traitor?" "No, but he's not in the house. The declaration was delivered by a messenger," he said. "Very well. If you do see him, you are to shoot him dead on sight," Mataosga said. "Very good, sir," Serguis said, drawing a silver revolver that he kept in his coat, checking it to make sure that it was loaded, taking the safety off, and keeping it in his right hand. "Everyone inside," he said, "pointing, before entering himself, closing the door, and dropping the heavy ebony bolt behind him. He then strode quickly to the dining area to find Akima. Hopefully her lone skill would soon prove useful.

"Okay Mister Matasoga, Sir!" she said going inside and walking up to the top floor and looking around. "Wooooow!" she said, her voice echoing a bit. Then she spotted something that caught her interest. A white dove had landed on a window. She did a bird call and it flew over to her shoulder. "Hey little guy, what brings you here?" Angel said petting it gently with 1 finger. "You wanna be my friend little guy?" The bird flew onto the top of her hat. Angel giggled "I take that as a yes."

[[Akima]] Akima growled to herself, unable to make the vacuum that Serguis had provided her before rushing off. Small pieces of it lay around her and she was messing around in the bottom. Serguis had shown her how to use it but something prevented it from working shortly after he had left. She is covered in dust and sneezes a few times. Her mind off-handedly listened to her Master and Angel's presence arrive on the premises, and when he had came into the room, she jumped back from the vacuum and looks up at him, still kneeling on the floor."Hey." She smiles companionably. "I hear found one."

"Yes I di-" he started but stopped when he saw the broken pieces of what he guessed was once a vacuum cleaner. Now was not the time to ask. "Yes I did," he began again. "But more importantly, I need your help. I'm preparing for war and since combat seems to be what you're best at, I'm drafting you for the conflict." "Report to the war room, immediately," he said, leading her downstairs to the archives, which Sergius had rearranged so that the lighting was better, a table was present and maps were spread about. [[Akima]] Akima listens to him curiously, and while he spoke, she stood and began dusting herself off before following him. Her mind off-handedly lingered in the room where the new slave was, touching Angel's mind gently probing for basic information. This is like an instinctive gesture. She grins at him, feeling more relieved that she didn't have to trifle with the odd contraption anymore."Awesome." She says.[[[Cool, you guys finally got this thing started.]]]

Angel went downstairs after tieing a ribbon to the little white dove. As she went through though, she noticed a piano. Seeing it there, she couldn't resist playing it. Angel pressed a few keys gently then started to play 'My Immortal' [by Evanescence- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksT3s__Tdgc ] and sang along with it. Though it was a sad song, she was feeling happy.

[[normally i dont double post, but since no one else has put anything yet, and i'd like to stay true to my word...im double posting for once.]] Once the song was over, Angel and her little companion got up. They looked for a different instrument to play, but didn't have any luck finding anything. The little dove desided to go back to sitting on Angel's shoulder as the two went on the bottom floor. "Hm...I wonder where the kitchen is..." she said thinking quietly out loud. The two passed by different rooms until they were at a dead end. "Aww, a dead end. Now what do we do, Kumo?" she had desided on the name Kumo for the little dove.

((I don't ever mind double posting; Not even in my guild, so long as there's a day or so between the posts. Here it's fine, as long as you're reasonable about it, especially right now. ((I am sorry. We're in a bit of a lull here right now because of the war, business. Usually I'll make several posts a day (if everyone else's activity allows) but since Matasoga is really busy with this war business, it's hard for me to make sense of him not being there to spend the correct amount of time on it. ((This is in response to an actual challenge from an associate of mine, and I thought that it would be interesting to work into the plot. I assure you that after this is complete, he'll be spending much more time with you. Please just stick around and bear with me until then.)) After a long planning and strategizing session, Matasoga arose from the room, his face looking serene as ever, though he allowed the rest of his body language belied a good bit of stress. He sought out Angel, finding her wandering. "Angel, I'm sorry about my abruptness, but the task that I am busy with is taking a great deal of my concentration," he said. "In the meantime, I don't suppose you give massages, do you?"

[[Ah okay, I wasn't sure how you'd take double posting since there are a few people that don't like it when others do that. Heh well I'm patient to an extent so I don't mind waiting a while so long as I'm given notice. Thank you for letting me know though smile ]] Angel turned around facing Matasoga when she heard him say something. "Oh? It's okay. Everybody get's busy" she let out a small giggle. "A massasge? Hm...never gave one before but I could try? Oh and this little guy is Kumo!" she said pointing to the little dove sitting on her shoulder.

Matasoga thought this will probably be no easy task for her as he took off his backless coat, cape, and sash. It would probably serve better to have the prospective masseur learn on a back without any extra appendages. Of course then there is the matter of my superior draconic strength, that makes my body as tones and hard as the strongest of any non-adventuring human and my scales which make me as well armored as if I were wearing chainmail over every inch of my body. "Don't be afraid of being too rough and take care not to hurt yourself," he offered. He didn't expect her to get his meaning, immediately, but she's know upon laying hands upon him. He tried to relax his small blue membranous wings as much as he could. Given the limited muscles within them that made flight impossible, this was done quickly. "Leave the wings, for now. Just ignore and work around them," he said, taking a seat on one of the low backed couches, bidding that she walk around behind it. If this didn't work out he'd see about getting Akima to do it for him. It probably really wasn't a one-person job anyway, least of all work for one slender young girl.

'Well here goes nothing' Angel thought rubbing around his wings gently but then realized that probly did nothing because of his scales. She tried rubbing with a little force, guessing that might have worked. Though Matasoga's scales were proving to be tough she got a different idea. Angel tried making chopping motions, hoping it wasn't hurting him then stopped after a while between rubbing and chopping. "How was that?" she asked not quite sure if she had even given the massage right and making a ' sweatdrop ' face.

[[Akima]] Akima didn't follow Matasoga immediately but a few long minutes later she did exit the room where he had led her. She finds the nearest window, and tries to open it. The air in here is becoming stuffy, and Akima needed to see the outside. The daylight hasn't quite touched the horizon, so she had time to play around.

((There are no windows to the archives. It's in the basement. And right now all the windows have been shuttered with steel plates, for the wartime preparations. By the way, sorry I moved on without you. I just wanted Angel to get some play in and I didn't imagine that you'd have much to say.)) ((I figured most war-planning would happen off-screen. Would you like to do it here, instead, before I cut back to the present?))
