Come on... She thought, looking around as if expecting him to leap out and scare the bejebus out of her at any moment....but moment became minute, and then serveral....and still no sign of Bryyo. Once Jerome spoke up she flattened her ears and turned; biting her tongue safely inside her mouth a moment as she held a bit of hope....but she supposed he was right.
"I guess you're right....." She finally broke and said, looking up to Jerome as the foxes returned to what they were previously doing. "Well....at least we were lucky with one then, huh?" She smiled sheepishly, guessing all they had left to do was pack and wait for the dark knight to reappear.

He put an arm around her shoulder in comfort. "Don't worry. We can ask Elysia. She has a satellite on this island and with some work, she can tell us where he is" he suggested, looking to see if she liked the idea.
"For all we know, he may be close, but he's just far enough away to not be able to hear us" he reassured with a smile and a nod. If that had to be it. Or else he was on the other side of the island, in which case they wouldn't be able to reach the camp in time for the sunset, which Jerome kind of wanted to see again

Weighing the options, she did realize her son was the more adventurous of their children...and who knew; maybe he was out having a good time. Although she did want to see him, perhaps it was best to head back; for she didn't want to have to risk running at nightfall either with the stories she heard from Jerome and Nariko.
"Maybe....we should head back. I don't want to tire you out today with all this running when we have things to do before we go. I don't want to be unprepared for all of this, as it is my first time out on a trip like this..." Leaning her head against his chest, her tail swayed to catch onto his and hold there.

A bit surprised that she wanted to call it and head back to the campsite, he looked a bit shocked as she slide back onto his shoulders, prompting him to return to a four legged stance. "Are you sure?" he questioned. He wasn't one to argue, but she wanted to see her children and he was going to help. But he also wasn't one to fight her wishes either, so he turned and trotted once more, only this time facing the looming forest ahead

Koyuki hesitated, knowing very well she'd wait forever if she could...but the thought that she did have to think about herself sometimes prompted her to think it best to head out. Biting her lip, she thought, obviously unsure about what would be the best course of action.
".....Maybe, just knowing where he is wouldn't hurt?" She gave way, unable to bare just leaving without letting both her children know she no longer was going to be at the house. What kind of a mother would she be if she didn't at least have that courtesy?

He looked over his shoulder at her hesitation, wondering what he initial plans were. He listened and looked towards the hill. "Don't worry, it won't take long at all" he said as he started to run towards the hill.
"WWWAAAAAAAIIIITTT" a familiar voice trailed to his ears as lo and behold, he turned to see the ever familiar Bryyo jump down from the trees and land in an exhausted mess.
"Oh christ!" Jerome said as he turned and ran back over to his son looking at his exhausted son, pant and lay on the ground.
"I..had...to..run...from..the..other..side" Bryyo managed to say through each breath before picking himself up and slowly still trying to catch his breath. "whew..."

"Alright then..." Koyuki smiled, nuzzling closer into her mate and prepared to leave when the loud yell caused her tail to bristle and poof, snapping her head over to see Bryyo collapse onto the ground after he lept down from the tree.
"Bryyo!" Koyuki yelled, wasting no time when Jerome had slowed to a stop to run over and quickly encase her large son in a hug. His heart pounded in his chest, and from his panting words it touched her heart he would run all that way for them.
"I'm so happy to see you!" She breathed, releasing him a tad so he could continue to catch his breath.

He sat down and waited for his mate to finish hugging his son before pulling the boy in and giving him a noogie of sorts. "Hey..what have you been up to my boy!"
Bryyo found he was being hugged by his mother. Having almost caught his breath at that point he returned the hug to his tiny mother. "Ah..good to see YOUoof" he was soon taken by his father and given a good spartan noogie. "Ow ow..dad!" he laughed as he wiggled his feet trying to break free from the vice grip, with no avail.
Jerome chuckled and let Bryyo go, laughing himself. "Well come on squirt. What have you been up to?"
Bryyo stumbled a bit to gain his bearings after being let go, laughing a little from the experience. "Ah it's so good to see you both" he said as he finally sat down, fixing his ruffled hair.
"I've been...romancing of sorts with...someone" he finally admitted hesitantly

Chuckling softly at Jerome's antics, it was just so nice to be able to see him enjoy his children and being back; even if it was for so little time. "Its so nice to see you too Bryyo; you haven't stopped by in some time!" Koyuki wagged her paw in a joke scolding, not really blaming him since hanging out with one's parents when young seemed more of a chore than something fun.
However as she folded her paws she was surprised that her hunches were somewhat right. "Romancing!" The vixen let out a small squeak, oh, how her babies were all grown up it seemed. "Well love, don't keep us guessing. What is she like!" Immediately she tried to imagine, perhaps a similar ninjutsu trained vixen, or even a lavished one. Bryyo from what she could tell had a vast appreciation for beauty...so the possibilities seemed just as endless.

Jerome was surprised that he suddenly mentioned a sweetheart. "Ahh...my little boy found a young flower? Who si she?" he poked along side with Koyuki.
"Ah...well..um..see..it's uh...One of Trov's girls." he said half way wincing knowing full well the reaction he may have from his father...and even more afraid of the one his mother may have.
Jerome's smile faded into one of full shock. His mouth could have hit the floor where it not so finely attached.

Oh goodness, well she was sure Nariko wouldn't be pleased to hear that she was a bit behind, or a lot behind depending on how one would look at it. None the less when the sire of the vixen in question flitted to her ears she gasped and put her paws infront of her mouth; immediately looking to see the shocked look of Jerome.
Oh no. no no no. This wasn't good.
"He doesn't know...." Koyuki breathed in reference to Trovalius; who would have found her already if he had a clue with rage in his heart. There was no question, this romance must have been some kind of secret for the time being. She had met the children once when they were newborns; but it was so long ago that her memory had become fuzzy.
"Are you sure, Bryyo? I can't imagine they would be too far from their father's beliefs on the dawn of the modern age and all it has to offer." And the fact he wore the armor of his father was a clear slap in the face to the forest demon; which would have sent him sprinting to find her...or Jerome.

Jerome could not even begin to fathom everything that could possibly happened if this little romance went through. He was not a fan of Trov at all and did everything he could to prevent any boiling rage he had for the demon, escape and ruin this little meeting.
"Well she did say that her father was Trov....and...she did say she was pretty much separated of her family, so I didn't see any harm in it but...we've only just talked a bit" He said trying to reassure his parents, quite obvious to the silence of his father not being a good thing

Koyuki bit her lip and looked between her mate and her son, it just seemed so weird. There was some bad blood between the demon and Jerome...but wouldn't it have rubbed off on his children? Unless....
"There isn't harm in it, Bryyo. It wouldn't have mattered, but her father Trovalius is an ancient soul and still lives as such; i'd fear his grudge holds fast beyond just Jerome..." She spoke softly, reaching out and placing a tender paw on her mate's shoulder.
"He must not have much influence with those kids though, I know his mate Leyla is a kind hearted soul and a joy....I wouldn't put it past that she raised them." It had been so nice to meet her, even if it complexed her why she loved the demon so.

Jerome was still struggling to find words. It was hard to be mad at his son for something so stupid, but it was hard not to be mad at Trovalius. He felt his mate's paw on his shoulder and he resisted the urge to walk away or say something that would just ruin the moment.
Bryyo was past concern. "Well it's only talk. I mean..we've never had a date or anything. And besides, she seems rather opposed of her father and doesn't even know where he is." he admitted looking to his father praying there would eventually be words coming from his mouth.
Jerome looked over back to his son and put a paw on the boy's broad shoulders. "Good luck...just be careful" he said as he pulled his son in for a quick hug, and made his way back to the forest, walking slow so Koyuki could catch up

Folding her ears back she felt a bit of sorrow for the situation, knowing it wasn't easy for either Jerome or Bryyo. Feeling a moment out of place she could only remain silent as Jerome finally spoke up, hugged him and moved to head out.
"I agree with your father, just watch out for him alright?" Koyuki smiled and returned her arms around her son. "I...am going with your father on one of his trips; so I won't be home. I'll be okay though, but we wanted to let you know in case you came by."
Looking back at her mate's retreating figure, she pulled her son down to kiss his cheek. "Just follow your heart, and you'll be fine; Bryyo. Take care and love you!" Koyuki waved and wasted no time to catch up to Jerome; thankful for his slow place. Moving to his side to fall into step...not sure of what to say really as she reached out to try and take his paw.
