((Shweet. Not the best plan hurr, but yeah...))
Nicole nodded and rubbed her arms a little before standing. "Yeah, I bet Aivi would love to have one too. It hasn't snowed this much since she was too little to even join in."
Panting just the slightest bit, Russ tossed the wooden pole to the side. The swinging dummy had had enough torture. He laughed uncertainly, remembering the golden rule of "You break it, you fix it. Or I'll fix you!".
Stryker waited impatiently for the small group to sneak through the dense forest without arousing suspicion. It was sizable for the force it was. Not enough to be a waste if, well, when, they got cut down. "Right," He talked quietly to them. "Now, the gates are no option. Unless they open them. So, what I want you two to do--" He directed his attention to the two Malices with tentacle like arms. "--Is to grab those two guards up in the towers when I tell you too. The rest with either rush em, or hide on the sides 'til they open the gate to save those bastards." They all nodded their agreement, ready. "Okay...Wait for it..." Stryker watched until one of the two turned to glance wistfully inside the compound. "Now!" One of the tentacle arms ones stepped out in the open to yank the poor man from his perch. When the second guard was blinking in shock and surprise, the other grabbed him soon after. They both screamed like little girls when they fell to the soft snow below.

((She's in her lookout post. She's trying to help! whee But, she ain't gonna be there long.))
When Ellie stepped out of the shower next, she laced her fingers together and stretched her arms forward, a few cracking sounds coming from both her arms and fingertips. After stretching them above her head and stretching some more, she, too, put on new clothes. "What did you want to show us, darlin'?" she asked, letting out the southern accent she picked up from Tyler.
Aivi was about to put her telescope away and head back down to find Nicole when she heard the scream. Quickly whipping her telescope over to where she heard the scream, she managed to see the tentacles disappear behind a tree. Folding her spyglass up, she put it into her pocket and slid down the metal ladder, a pair of gloves on to prevent getting hurt. She, then, rushed over to the nearest guard tower to get a better view.

"Alright then." Troy said as he opened the door for Nicole and started walking toward 'Aivi's Lookout.' As they were nearing 'Aivi's Lookout' Troy heard a faint scream on the wind and saw Aivi running towards one of the guard post. Suspecting the worst he drew his Berettas and said to Nicole, "We need to check whats going on and make sure Aivi is alright." He then started heading toward where Aivi started running to make sure everything was okay.

"Well, I guess I'll be showing you my secret a little later," Tyler remarked as the alarms began going off. "We've got trouble." He was of course concerned for the lives of the people he lived with...but he was also ready for some zombie action. It had been a long time since his last real fight, not including his run-in with the Brutes that morning. When they got outside. Tyler spotted Aivi sprinting for a guard tower. He used his new speed to dart in front of her, catching her under the arms.
"Go to your room and lock the door. We've got something the grown-ups need to take care of," he said, earning a glower. "Don't look at me like that, and don't argue with me! I'm not letting you get hurt!" He was firm, but not unkind with the girl.
"Shall we go the ball together, M'lady?" he asked Eleanor, repeating something he'd said when they first got together.

"Uh..." Nicole clenched and unclenched her empty hands. She hadn't brought her weapons with her. "Ah...I'll meet you there. 'Need to get my shotty!" Then she sprinted off for her room, picking the gun and the walking stick up where they'd been laying on the floor unceremoniously. Turning around, she darted back through the halls and muttering at the loud alarms.
Russ was a little relieved to hear the alarms go off, slipping his duster coat back on and grabbing his weapons he'd set aside. His "super zombie powers" as everyone put it had been uneasy to begin with. He looked back at the poor training dummy, shaking his head, not regretful in the least. "Sorry, bud. I'll get to you later." He went out the outer door and noticed the rushing people. "Yo Tyler! You know what's going on?"
Stryker noted with growing satisfaction the blaring sounds coming from the military base. He turned his attention away from it and looked at the two guards the small group had snagged. Both were glaring hatefully, fear in their eyes, but they were restrained and silenced by the Malices who'd caught them. He looked away to watch the progress of the few Brutes and spiked Malices inching their way to the closest wall, some muttering. He himself stayed hidden still, really preferring to stay out of harms way. Especially from the lot of gun toting humans.

Aivi gasped in surprise when someone came up behind her. She automatically thought it was her mother, but when she felt the large hand and heard the deep vibrato, she knew that it was her father. She briefly wondered how he gained vamp powers, but pushed it aside. When she glowered at him and he told her not to argue, she argued anyway. "But daddy! I saw where the tentacle things went! I want to help! Just let me show you where I saw them! Please?!"
Ellie couldn't help but chuckle at her husband's line; he did indeed say that after their first kiss. She remembered that moment so clearly. But, when she heard her daughter's plea to help out if not by a little, her demeanor changed from playful to thoughtful. She said tentacles, didn't she? What if this was the clawed zombie's doing? It might be an ambush. "If you show us, promise to head directly to your room afterwards." she compromised with the five-year-old.

Tyler gave an exasperated sigh, and kissed his daughter's forehead.
"I love you, Aivi. I don't want anything to happen to you. That's why grown-ups get to do this stuff; so the kids don't get hurt. Show us where you saw the ghouls, and then go to your room, like your mother said. We'll be back before you know it," he promised her. Then he released her and motioned for her to lead them. While she trotted off through the thin snow, Tyler radioed his comrades from the black tracks that carried them home. He wanted them to fight by his side, like old times.

Nicole met up with Russ since they were both going the same way. "I really thought it'd be nice to have a day not fighting zombies." She remarked with a sad sigh.
Russ chuckled and took his crossbow in both hands, fitting an arrow, bolts were harder to come by, into the mechanism. "True. But it's been a good few weeks since the last time, no?"
Other than the main part of the group surrounding the captives, though they'd probably be killed soon, the detached part had reached the wall. Then the split again, one small group going over to the sides of the gate and the other going farther along the side. That one was mainly Brutes with some spiked guys. Their purpose would be when the human actually came out, if they were going to. Luckily both were out of sight of most of the guard towers. "C'mon, numbskulls. Pop your heads out..."

((Lul, that's kind of what I'm trying there. Heh, yeah, he doesn't have the best spelling. I'm pretty good at mimicking others' writing styles...Not really, this be mah first time. 'Cept maybe the plot I wrote for PD, NoB 2. =D))

((It be a sequel to the first PD, NoB [a.k.a. Peaceful Days, Night of Blood] that I made, but Strider made the sequel. It should still be in the list in the forum here if you wanna check it out, and maybeh read it. Uh...I can try writing like you. Give me a sec to "analyze" your writing. =3))

As soon as she was released, Aivi began pounding up the stairs to the top of the guard tower, Ellie close behind. When they got there, she pulled out her telescope and swept the area for something, anything. Then, she saw it; shadows moving from behind a tree. And, with the wind blowing towards her, she could smell the distinguishable scent of rotting flesh, so strong that even Ellie gagged a little at the smell. Pointing out the shadows while handing her mother the spyglass, she said, "Right there. See? You can also spot one a hat that one of the guards wore."
Smiling proudly at her daughter when she saw all that she pointed out, Ellie ruffled her hair a little. "That's my girl. Now, we had a deal, remember?" At her nod, she began to head back down the stairs.
