Despite the trouble she had, Mitsu continued to chew away at the piece still in her hand. When it was finally gone she looked around for the remaining small pieces on her stick and found the puppy chewing on them. Reaching down she grabbed the skewer but the puppy wasn't so willing to have it tugged away.

With a tiny growl Tobi bit down on the chunk of meat giving a tug hoping to pull the whole thing free of the girl's grasp. Despite his effort all he managed to get was the piece he had been chewing on. Slightly satisfied he continued to chew on that carefully eying the remainder.

Sticking her tongue out at the little dog, having obviously won in her mind, Mitsu focused back on her piece of meat. In a short span of time it had been covered in dirt and had a few bite marks where Tobi had tested it out before settling on the other chunk. It didn't seem to matter though, as the piece was pulled free of the stick and instantly put in her mouth. She was still in that stage where everything was potentially edible.

When Blade asked about where they were from, Mitsu gave it some thought. "It's much colder than here. With all kinds of snow. We never have ....all this green stuff." In truth she didn't know much about plants or what most of them were called. Nothing like that survived where she was from. "But my brother will come to get me soon." Mitsu continued. "He always finds me."

Turning at the sound of 'awww' Neko's curious gaze fell on the little piglet. Well, that was certainly luck, it was small but it could feed them both. But the girl seemed....he wasn't sure how to explain it. It was that same look his mother gave small animals when she saw them pop out of the woods. "Where did it come from?" Neko asked as he approached all the while pulling a knife from his belt.

The tiny pig only continued to grunt, not very disturbed to find people here. It moved along across the trail, pawing at the dirt looking for food. It moved in circles a few times before it finally bumped into Riyo making it shake its head to reorient itself.

"yay! food!" poke seemed ecstatic that the food was cooked, so she grabbed a skewer and started to rip/tear at the food. The meat tasted odd, but she wasn't going to be picky. She listened to the doggy girl talk about where she lived. It sounded weird, to be in a cold place. And the "snow" she was talking about...she had never heard of it.

"whats snow?" she asked the doggy girl with a mouth full of food. When she talked about her brother she managed to swallow some of her food. "I don't have a brother, but I have lots of friends, and we always go outside and play. I wonder if they're here somewhere too..."

Mitsu finished off her dirt flavored food and stared at the remaining skewers of meat. She wasn't exactly hungry still, but they did look rather inviting. "We can't be too far." Mitsu replied to Blade. "It's not cold here but I don't think I would have walked that far from home." She stared at the food a moment longer before she looked up at the sky. It was already passed noon it seemed. That was right wasn't it? When the sun was mid way in the sky.

"It doesn't matter though, Ginji will find me." He would find her right? It was taking him much longer this time. Normally within an hour he would have collected her and would have been dragging her home. "He doesn't see with his eyes but he always seems to find me. Worstest person to play hide and seek with ever." Mitsu looked to Poke curiously when she mentioned the word play. True she knew what play was but having only her older brother or her even older father to play with was boring. "What kind of games do you play?"

The piglet gave a series of small grunts as Riyo patted its head, bumping its head up into her hand. It was an odd sensation, it had never been petted before, though it wasn't bad.

"It looks like a baby boar." Neko knelt slowly down beside the two and while Riyo was distracting it Neko took hold of it with both hands. The piglet let out a squeal from the sudden contact to its sides and began to wiggle. "He's small but with only two of us we'll have enough to eat."

Looking up toward Riyo, Neko didn't know what to make of her facial expression. "W...what's with the face?" He apparently hadn't had a full taste of the ways of a woman. True his mother got him to do things with a look....but it was generally stern and left no room for argument...this was....adorable and sad? "I...its just a baby pig." Neko picked the piglet up making the creature squeal again. Its little feet began to run though it found no traction in the air.

"Bigger things eat small things all the time," Neko argued. He obviously wasn't putting much thought into it. He was a boy after all. "Do you not eat meat?" Maybe that was the problem.

Though the piglet had fallen somewhat quiet, the sounds of distress it had made had summoned another beast. This one not nearly as cute and fuzzy. Further down the path mama boar emerged from the brush, a look of murder in her eyes. It only took her a moment to spot those responsible for her piglet's distress calls and began to beat at the ground with a hoof. A loud snort filtered through her nose as she lowered her head, long tusks present and ready.

The boy fell silent again when the brunette mentioned she had a lot of friends. He had neither siblings nor friends. He didn't have anyone really. Slowly, he continued to eat the badger meat, which now didn't taste so great all of the sudden.

For now he sort of tuned out the other children with what they were saying, being lost in his thoughts again. Feeling full now, he just stared into the fire before glancing down at the sword next to him. He probably would have hugged it it... if it had its sheathe. It didn't, and it was probably a poor idea to be hugging something so sharp, so he refrained.

"ohh, so thats what it is..." Poke found it hard to imagine. She knew water fell from the sky, but frozen water? Maybe it was the big white balls that sometimes fell in really bad storms, and hurt if they hit you on the head.

"Ginji sounds really good at playing hide and seek, I wonder if I could beat him at it..." she said out loud while she continued to eat her kebab of meat.

"Ah, we play lots of games. We go to the beach and go swimming, or play tag and even hide and seek sometimes. But we gotta be careful, cause there are lots of other doggy people and kitty people, and they don't like us very much...Though some do, but they get mad at me when I ask if I can pet their ears..."

Glancing up towards Atticus as he suggested they play a game, he shrugged before looking at the other two. Blade didn't really feel like playing, even if it pretty much had been over a year since he's done that. Just the idea of playing with others sounded almost odd to him now.

"I think I'll sit out.."
