i started playing flute 8 months ago. our whole flute section is noobs. i can definitely play better than some of the sucky players who've been in band for years, but i suck MEGA at marching. and some of the better flute players always find something to correct about my playing. i still have so much to learn.

It can get annoying, but sometimes it's worth it, sometimes it's not (I was top, & might be top at my new school, can't tell yet)

I've always been 1st trumpet, I even made 1st chair trumpet, in the District Honor Band...So I guess, I am the best in my section-at my school.

Ok, there is this ridiculous misinterpretation that I can actually play my trumpet well among the band. I just happen to not suck as much as most of the other trumpets. I know I'm not even close to first chair because there are at least 6 or 7 other trumpet players who could out play me ( we have 24 in marching band by the way). It's actually most of the freshman in the band and sometimes some upperclassmen, even my section leader sometimes, but I really don't think I'm that great.
Then there are my so called friends who can't stand that I get praised and always complain to me about other peoples comments on my playing, but that's another story...

In cadet band, I'm the best about remember an exercise, play pedaltone (I don't know how to write it in english. Thats mean a very low note),play with articulations, and play high note. But in playing slur, Inri is much better than me.

Oh I'm definantly the best. Not only am I section leader (if that matters), but the clarinets this year reeeeally suck. In fact, the entire band this year sucks, we got an overload of 7th graders who can't read rhythms.

I'm not the best exactly... there's one better than me who's a senior. But we don't have chairs in my band, so it's hard to tell. Most of the flute section sucks anyway in my school. I won an award last year for being the best freshman band person, so I'm aiming on winning it again for sophmore. :]
