"If it were as simple as that." Clara mumbled. She has stepped back quite a bit of ways away from the monster. She had no way to attack that thing without the risk of getting really hurt or killed. She had to think of something though. She couldn't just sit back and let this thing destroy the city. Then she remembered the arrow that struck one of the eyes. It was in alot of pain after that.

"Maybe we need to take out it's eyes before we try for the bell." She suggested to the people around her. It was worth a shot to mention it. She hoped that others would agree on the idea

Ask not for whom the bell tolls...

мøιįиД
[єи†øмβєÐ βєιι†øωєя]

Molina thundered slowly toward the hastily retreating group, and stepped back as Rhys' magic swirled upward, striking at the bell, which began to vibrate audibly as another roar shook the earth, and once again she threw herself forward. Her arms slammed into the street as the bell, glowing and shaking violently, swung back and forth. Hot, putrid, rotten breath poured over the small group of warriors facing her, and a severed human arm was actually dislodged from one of her teeth, whipped through he air, and hit poor Sue right in the face!

The bell began to glow brightly as it swung upward, with light and dark magic swirling inside it, prepared to release the devastating attack that had nearly claimed their lives once before. There was a deep rush of air as the horrible creature inhaled...

... It tolls for thee.

Forgotten Morph

PostPosted: Mon Feb 08, 2010 11:54 am

And... that answered his question. That was clearly magic; powerful magic at that. This giant..... THING, whatever the hell it was, clearly knew how to at least use magic. Which meant that this would be a great place for Kishuna to use his own skills. But ********, he'd have to put himself in harm's way to do it. He spent a moment considering this; honestly, he didn't like anyone here THAT much, but.... Ephraim was here, and he wasn't sure if he could grab the prince and leave in time. And Ephraim would probably yell at him for a while for leaving the others behind. And of course there was the fact that this thing might come after them anyway... Damnit, he was going to have to help. He'd have to use a different seal than he'd been using lately; the others needed to be able to throw spells in and his current Seal negated all magic. ********, he'd have to pull off something from way back when. Whatever.

The morph sighed, standing up; the others were clearly wary of this attack, and were all moving to different spots. Kishuna ignored this; instead, he did what seemed like the most foolish thing to do at the moment. He strode straight towards the creature, grinning at it as he went. "Hey! Tall, gray and ugly! The hell do you think you're doing?" He got close; and one hand whipped up, sending his knife into one of the great eyes. It didn't hit it EXACTLY straight, but it slashed along it, and nobody could tell he'd almost missed. Hopefully. It would still look cool.

With a moment's concentration, Kishuna flickered from the ground into the bell tower... and promptly almost slid out again, as the tower was tilted since Molina was leaning towards the ground. One hand wrapped around the clapper inside the bell, sending a loud, slightly odd noise out over the snow; cracked bells didn't ring all that well. The morph glared at the thing, attempting to summon that specific Seal.... and found that he couldn't. He couldn't do only casting negation. ********. Well, whatever. He'd let the seal go if he saw a spell coming at him.

Still hanging from the clapper, the morph glanced back at the ground; everyone was watching. He had to do this just right, and if he didn't look absolutely badass while doing it, it wouldn't have the right effect. So he waited. Waited until the swirling energies had almost reached their peak. He had to build suspense, right? Then, at the last moment, when a spike in the energy signalled the oncoming attack, Kishuna pulled his arm back...

And slammed a fist into the bell. ********, that hurt. And it wasn't like it would do anything to the metal, he wasn't really physically strong. But it looked cool, and that was what counted. His body, touching the bell, once again acted as a self-contained seal; the effects of magic were completely negated, which clearly meant that the attack would do absolutely nothing since magical energy couldn't be gathered. He'd just have to let go if an attack came at him.

Once again, Ephraim couldn't really do anything but sit and watch as..Kishuna..came..? Wow..that...was a surprise....a very big surprise. He didn't think the morph would actually show up, with Ciela non the less..Ephraim figured Kishuna would just leave the animal behind and come here on his own..Huh..ah well. It would be a whole lot easier if they could simply attack the bell..otherwise they wouldn't have called for the Morph in the first place.

He spaced out for a moment, but snapped back into reality when the attention was to Kishuna. Was he crazy!? That was suicide!

...

of course, leave it to a stupid head to simply try and go kill himself..whatever happened to saving his a** back during their little hiking adventure? God, will this morph EVER learn? Nope..probably not, not unless the prince was there to give him a good lecture about it.

To make matters worse..(but at least he was doing something) He punched the bell...smart...real smart...Yea, you aren't strong, lover boy so don't go trying to break a bone. "If only we can get close enough to attack..otherwise, range is what we don't have" referring to the myrmidon and himself. Magic was no use either so what other options could they have?

Rhys watched the results. No, it still took the magic in... but that bell didn't look too sturdy after that attack. Was it really in such solid foundations? Clearly, another hit like that would tear the bell off its foundations.

But that didn't do them one lick of good--the monster was about to fire its lazar once again, and this time there wasn't as much cover to hide behind.

Was this it? Was this the end of Rhys and everyone else close to him? Rhys trembled at the thought. N-no, I can't die yet, I refuse to die yet, I have a wife and probably a future child...

But just as Rhys was about to lose it, Kishuna appeared! And the morph warped to the top of the tower! The morph, with a punch that even Captain Falcon would be proud of, somehow nullified the bell's energy!

Rhys let out a loud, triumphant "HA HAAAAAA!" Just when the battle seemed at its end, they would have another chance!

"Yeah, that bell was absorbing our energy. But here's the thing--it's losing its foundation. Look at it--it's hanging on by maybe a rusty nail! Just give it one more dose of these thousand petals, blowing... swirling, eternally... ANTARAM!!"

The petals sailed forth a third time. Rhys, now a bit tired from using so much magical mojo, fell to the ground. He wasn't worried for Kishuna; the morph could warp up there, he could warp back. (Or if he couldn't, he was bloody stupid for making a one-way trip with no way down.)

No, what he worried was: Was he right? Would this finally do it?

Ask not for whom the bell tolls...

мøιįиД
[єи†øмβєÐ βєιι†øωєя]

There was a screech of terrible noise as Kishuna's fist made impact, from either the bell or the beast, or both at once. It echoed in the streets and seared itself onto the brains of all who heard it as the bell, still surging with energy, was prevented from releasing it! Molina thrashed, apparently in terrible pain, as the energies now trapped within the bell began to swirl around it, until at last Kishuna was swung clear, thrown over the street and onto a conveniently soft thatched roof.

With the bell unsealed, Molina let out a loud, roaring wheeze and turned back to her prey.

And Antaram swirled, dragging a long gash up through her face as it sped its way into the bell. Molina stopped for a long moment, perplexed as light-burnt flesh dropped away from the scar in her face.

The bell shook wildly, humming, its pitch rising rapidly to a screech as it suddenly broke free, swinging slowly through space, turning in the air.

The crack shot upward, snapping along the surface of the bell with deafening noise, and then there was a great explosion of blinding light. The bell shattered, releasing its stored magic into the sky as tiny fragments of metal rained down on the street. The blazing inferno of light carried on for twenty seconds before it flickered and faded, and at last the clapper, spinning through the air, came whipping down and cracked into the cobbled stone road. It sat, for a few long seconds, in a small crater, before it crumbled instantly to dust.

Molina made not a sound. The stone tower had fallen to the ground, amid a horrible, stinking mass of inanimate rotten flesh.

The street cleaners were going to be demanding a lot of overtime compensation...

... It tolls for thee.

Rhys lay on the ground, panting with effort. Three Antarams will do that to you... seriously, you try casting that much magic around in such a short time span. But he did have enough strength to raise his gaze upward as the bell finally broke loose and exploded into many fragments.

For his part, Rhys continued lying down, hoping none of the falling bell fragments would hit him. They didn't (although one piece had landed not far from his prone body).

The Bishop grinned as he realized Molina had collapsed in the street. Sure, it was quite a lot of rotting flesh, and it smelled horrible, but it wasn't moving. It was no longer a threat to anyone.

((I hope its ok for me to just uh..pop in O.<, I waited till that Molina was dead ))

Of all things the little teenager had to run into, it was a pack of wolves! Yeesh! What more could possibly go wrong? First Mommy runs off to find daddy, then Chad..then even his brother Rei! Oooh...if Lugh ever found his twin, that druid twin would be in for one hell of a smack with his Elfire Tome.

Leather boots continued to pound against the dirt pathway across the forest he had entered "G-Get away!! Leave me alone!!" The boy screamed, shuffling through bushes until his stepping came in contact with...the...air...?

...Uh-oh....well....well that surely wouldn't be good now would it?

The sage slipped off the ledge and went tumbling down the dirt hill, screaming along the way until he landed straight into what felt like cold ice...wait a mintue...was it winter already in Elibe? Lugh didn't remember it snowing anytime soon. He lifted himself off from the ground, spitting out chunks of ice that was stuffed in his mouth. He shook his head, clearing out pits and pieces of snow in his hair.

His tome..where did that tome fly off to? It was no longer in his hands. The young sage started crawling against the cold snow, shuffling through to find if it was somehow buried when he had fell. He looked..and looked...and found the elfire tome an-what was this..? What the hell was he holding? What wa-OH GOD ROTTON FLESH. Lugh jumped back, throwing the object in the air and landed on his behind, a bit startled at what he just picked up, now clutching to the tome he had lost. He shuffled back and hit something...that smell..did not assure him it was something pretty..never the less..his slowly turned his head. He shrieked, jumping up to his feet and ran, which direction? Hell, Lugh didn't know where but he wanted OUT of this stench garbage fest he had somehow fallen into!

"HYA!!!" He screamed once more, nearly running straight into what seemed to be an eye before it had splattered into pieces. "R-Rei...?" that name call was almost a whimper with an add on of 'ee' toward the end. Never the less, he emerged from all that mess, finding his way to a clearing where he wasn't staring at some disgusting piece of flesh that was slowly or was rotting.

~Ninian~

Finally the creature was dead, felled by Rhys's powerful light magic. Ninian fought the urge to drop to her knees in relief. She hadn't done much, only danced for the victorious bishop, but that was all that was needed. Kishuna had appeared out of nowhere and done . . . something. Whatever the morph had done, it had worked to help defeated the tower monster Molina.

Ninian shook her head to clear it. Something odd occurred when Kishuna appeared. Her vision seemed to split, her ignorable headache erupting into a full blown migraine almost immediately. An odd and unfamiliar emotion seemed to well up inside her, and for a moment she blacked out. The dancer felt as if nothing had happened the moment the morph disappeared.

I have no qualms against him, she thought. Why was I . . . angry at him?

She had no time to ponder the matter further as that was when Rhys dealt the final blow, and the matter was pushed from her mind.

Ninian smiled in her relief; their small group had saved Eyris from further harm. The battle was over and won, thanks to Rhys's quick action.

And then someone screamed.

Ninian's eyes searched for and found the source: a boy not much younger than Roy emerged from the mess that had been Molina. He seemed to be lost.

"Someone . . . there's someone there!" she cried, pointing at the boy. Ninian thought he looked familiar, but she could not recall having seen him anywhere before.

A loud scream...coming from around where Molina had fallen. Though Ziaram was close, he could certainly tell that it was someone that was in some kind of confusion, as it seemed...exhausted, and not at all a normal scream. Then again...there was no real way to be normal, aside from being ones self.

Though after someone mentioned that there was someone over there, Ziaram went over, and offered his hand to the youn lad. "You all right kid? Sure seems like you are startled at...whatever this belltower creature is. Though now you should..." He then noticed that hi clothes were more of a mage attire. A mage...sure seemed like they were getting more magic types here...yet he had a certain look about him that was familiar. "Anywho, lets get you away from this rotting dead, and over to someplace sae, like..." Wel...anywhere else would be better than in front of a dead creature.

For his part, Rhys had decided that just lying down in the street was nice. Sure, the cobblestones were hard, and the street wasn't the nicest-smelling (or softest) bed in existence, but he was tired after all that spell-slinging. There would be time for him to celebrate their victory and mourn for the dead later... right now, what he really needed was a shower and a nap...

"Hrk!"

Head snapped up, startled by a loud scream. Apparently, he wasn't allowed to drift off just yet as a green-haired boy came hurrying towards them.

Without thinking, he waved at the man and said wearily, "Hello, Rei."

...He blinked. "Wait a minute... your clothes are too bright, but you look pretty similar..." he gestured towards the nearby Druid, who had probably worked out by now that his brother had, in fact, followed his footsteps into Learania. Probably.

Upon approaching what Lugh didn't realize was a group, the young sage tripped and skidded a little across the snow. Bah, back into this cold item. He sat up, noticing a hand offered to him and looked up. "..Tha-Thanks" with the help of this strange face, he was helped to his feet. The mention of moving away from whatever creature that was relieved the sage. The further the better, it smelled! "Yea..Got that right...Where am I?"

The question was bound to come up. All Lugh knew was that he was no longer in Elibe and that most certainly did not assure him that he was going to be going back anytime soon. Another greeted the young teen and the mention of his brother caught his attention.

He looked to the orange-haired bishop and blinked.

"Wait a minute... your clothes are too bright, but you look pretty similar..."

Lugh heard him say and immediately grasped the bishop's robes, a glimmer of hope lit in his eyes as he realized maybe he had found his family..or something connecting to them. "Rei...Rei is here!? Where..? Please tell me!" He was a little eager, but what can the young twin do when the older had suddenly wandered off without a word? Rei gave him his word that he would not do such a thing again! He gave Lugh his word!

The sage watched this person's movement, following his gesture to a druid that was not far from where he was. His eyes grew wide. Rei was here..Rei was alive! Oh thank the heave-WHY WAS HE HERE? Happiness and anger mixed with his feelings, he couldn't express how happy he was to see his elder twin alive..but at the same time he could not withstand the anger he felt when Rei had run off without a word again.

...

So...

Instead...

The tome that was still in his hands went sailing across the air toward the druid.

Clara backed up a little more and Molina fell. Somehow, it was defeated.

"Well that seemed," She blinked for a moment, "I don't know. Oh well time to go back." Clara went back to where she came from. When she got to the tree that she set her stuff in she noticed that a branch fell and it just happened to be the branch that held her weights. She figured the fell because the weights were kinda heavy. She picked up the weights and climbed the tree. Well everything else seemed to be in tact. Good. Clara smiled as she gathered her things and continued on her way back to the Duke's head. Once she got there she opened the door and smiled.

"Rajin!" She yelled, "I'm back with a present!" She liked him a little bit. She also knew he wasn't going to steal from her. She made sure of that. She had dealt with thieves before, and she wasn't so nice to them.

Rei only smirked as he saw the creature fall, through the combined efforts of a few friends and acquaintances. There was only so much that magic could do, after all. The bell flew into the air and exploded. Damn, he loved a nice light show, once in a while. Plus, he was glad he didn't have to do too much more. Bit of overexertion, almost.

The person moving about in the remains of that monster, though... he was unexpected. It had to be a guy, only a boy would wear short-shorts in the middle of winter and have a cloak. He took a few steps closer to the boy, still leaving a sizable gap between them. He looked... familiar, eerily so. His flailing about and shouts of the Druid's name... made a shiver crawl up Rei's spine. Said shiver also left Rei completely unawares to the tome hurtling through the air... right towards the Druid's head.

Luckily, it missed, flying right past his head. Rei still let out a quite startled shout, though, as it slammed into the soft snow on the ground a few feet behind him. Rei ignored the other boy, refusing to even give him a glance. Instead, he prepared his tome for another casting. The incantation was soft, coming off as little more than Rei muttering to himself. But, as Rei pointed an arm towards the corpse of Molina, the same dark sigils formed in a rather large radius around the nearest part of the creature.

Once more, the spell began, this time only destroying quite a nice chunk of what was once Molina. Whether he'd get in trouble for that or not, he didn't really care. The random workers would probably have to clean up all the death and such that littered the streets anyway, so why not destroy the part of the monstrous thing that this look-alike had shot out of? For all he knew, bright-clothes-and-short-shorts over there could have been stuck inside that thing. And that would just have been terrible.

But, there was still part of it gone. The nearest part, the part that held the boy, the part that made his entrance into this realm quite unforgettable, if not scarring. Now, Rei finally turned his attention to the boy. The Druid glanced to his side at the tome that had almost connected with his skull. It looked like an Elfire from Elibe. Not very many anima users from Elibe, from what Rei had remembered. And really, he didn't know very many anima users who were from Elibe, had green hair just like his, and had short shorts. Not to mention the voice, kinda like nails on a chalkboard, if it was coated in sugar or something. So, there wasn't too much doubt in Rei's mind as to who this was.

The druid approached the boy, a look of cautious uncertainty on his face. One hand was still on his Verrine tome, but the other was going into his cloak, and pulling out a Mend staff, in case it was needed. "...Lugh... Is that you?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. A mysterious figure watched from the top of a building. He had been watching for the entire duration of the battle, so far. A sinister grin sat comfortably upon his face, like it was second nature. The destruction being caused by the behemoth was pure ecstasy. Everything was going to plan!

The fools scattering about the streets had no idea what was happening. They could not possibly imagine how their old foe of a bell tower had come back. The figure failed to hold back his chuckles, too enthused with the remarkable performance. Nobody knew that it was really he who brought the beast back to life. The reason was simple, really. The country was in severe deprivation of the monstrous Ice Gina terrorizing them all!

Just when things seemed that they couldn't be better, magic spells shot out toward the poor Ice Gina. The figure looked and saw meager little insects banding together to try to bring their foe crashing down. He could not help but cackle at their folly. The likes of them could not possibly bring down the mighty Ice Gina! Even with hurting the poor thing, the parasites simply did not have the power to finish the job. Only one thing- no, one person could defeat the bell tower. Only if he showed up, would this come to an end.

However, the figure was in for the shock of a lifetime, when Molina suddenly fell, to rest in peace again. "What?!" The figure stood up, and leaped from building to building, until he found an even higher place, that was still far off. He gazed down at the power around where the fighting took place, glancing about frantically. The last thing he saw was a burst of petals. That was what brought down the Ice Gina. The figure eyed down to where the magical attack would have come from, to see an orange-haired fellow fallen on his back.

The figure paused a moment, then erupted in maniacal laughter. When he was finished, he growled, then punched down on the roof, tearing cracks throughout a small section. "I see, I see... Yes, how interesting!" He moved about the rooftop he stood on, to get a better look at the man who laid on his back. "To think my greatest foe is nothing more than a weak, frail little man, without his mask! Oh, how it angers me so! Curse you, curse you, curse you!" He raised his arms, and clenched his fists in frustration, then stopped and moved slowly back to a normal observing position. "Ah, but... I know who you are now. Only the magic of that man was capable of finishing off my creature. Yes, it can only be truly you... You may have beaten it, you may have thwarted my scheme.. but I am not finished yet!" The figure took off, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, leaving the city.

"I will have my revenge... RHYSMAN!!!"
