 David GreysonSunagakure | Ichibi Host | GeninDavid's glare only intensified when the clone vanished, and he began to scan the area for the real person. He had managed to shunt the pain off to the side, replacing it with just enough adrenaline to keep him going. Casually noting that the katana had vanished with it's wielder, he wondered why the boy had made his move so quickly. Perhaps he too lacked experience, or just insight into the mechanics of a fight? His eyes snapped to Ryota the instant he reappeared on the top of the dune, and he began to walk forward, his own clone running along the edge to the right, getting ready for a flanking attack. The boy had caused him harm, and he was going to return the favor. The shuriken were mostly ignored, his sand barrier automatically catching them. With a smirk, he allowed them to fall, into his open pouch. Finally, he decided to take the offensive, as his clone jumped the final distance towards Ryota. Instead of attacking however, the clone was about three foot in front of him. The reason for this was explained seconds later as a sudden burst of sand plowed through the clone, destroying it along it's path to the opponent. The clone burst in a small explosion of it's own, hot flame licking at the sand as it passed, melting the outer edges into molten glass. David watched, judging the attack's first use. It wasn't as impressive as he had hoped, only melting down a bit of the sand. He would need something with more power. His opponent probably wouldn't be thinking of that though as he was currently being sprayed by the hot liquid, David having released control of the sand after puncturing the clone, causing it to spread on it's own.  [ Reverse Situation! ]xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxячσтα яσяσиσαxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX.[ Katanas ]David had caught sight of him, but merely seeing Ryota wasn't going to give the kid an advantage. Was this the real Ryota or just another one of his clones? None but Rye would know. The first shuriken that hit David's sand just bounced right off and into the kid's open pouch. "s**t!" Ryota swore to himself, but then a small smirk grew on the corner of his face as he suddenly picked up speed though still not at a hunderd percent. His clan was none other than the Roronoa Clan... feared for its infamous taijutsu style that granted their people inhuman speed, strength, and stamina - not to mention reflexes that rival those of Sharingan users.
Ryota didn't know what David had in mind, but he knew what his plan was and he stuck to it. Unlike his first shuriken, his other three had a little special somethin' attached to 'em. What exactly was that special something? A shinobi's best friend, explosive tags. When did he have time to set up something like that? Remember when he fiddled with the shuriken in his hands? In reality, the redhead had delicately attached some tags to three of his four shuriken before he decided to pop outta his hiding spot and have a go at his opponent. Right after David had caught Rye's first shuriken, the second hit the sand barrier and brought about a different outcome then Ryota's opponent probably expected from his opponent's projectiles.
The sand barrier was disrupted by a sudden and powerful blast from the second shuriken. Psh... was that all? No way Jose. The third shuriken followed a split-second behind the second (which had just detonated). What did this mean? Due to the explosive disruption in David's sand barrier, the second shuriken made a way for the third to enter through the disrupted sand and possibly explode after implanting itself into David's body - less he somehow dodged although the chances seemed slim for Rye's first shuriken reassured his opponent that the following three were more than likely 'normal' projectiles with nothing attached to them just as the first was.
Wait a sec, did I miss something? Why yes... what about the final, fourth tagged shuriken? This one would attack either David or his barrier if it had returned. Ryota followed close behind the final shuriken and unsheathed the katana from his right side with his left hand - so if the barrier would break, he'd dive in through it and hit his opponent with the flat portion of his blade against the boy's stomach. Also, his free hand seemed to hold something hidden from his opponent (not another katana though).

((If the shuriken struck and exploded before your final paragraph instead of falling in your pocket, then you're gonna have to state what you did to avoid that and in that case - you're gonna either have to restate the final portion of your last post or make up a new stratagy in your next post - aren't I right'o? If you want me to, I have a way to counter the fiery liquid though.))

(( I'm basically going with one of two things. My first is to go with the burst of sand from my final paragraph knocking out the extra shuriken. The second would go along with the fact that I'm in an outright massive pile of sand. The shield wouldn't be limited at all in such a situation. After all, how many explosive tags was Gaara's uncle wearing?
Anyways, I'm too tired to post well right now. if I tried it, I'd probably make more mistakes than I could count, and a single mistake means death against a good opponent. ))

((Remember, we're not fightin to the death neither will this fight count in my profile under "fights won" - and I sorta wanna become a Genin very soon, so howabout u say ur char regained control, momentarily lost control with the sand after blocking the exploding shuriken, and let Ryota thwack him with the flat side of his blade (I won't go any further than that)? That way maybe the kage will interrupt by then and punish us with an A or S ranked mission that we have to go on together in order to make our characters get along? ...sounds like a good plan? ;D))

David GreysonSunagakure | Ichibi Host | GeninDavid was surprised by the second shuriken exploding, seems this boy had a thing for bombs. It didn't phase him much however, as his attack continued as planned, a second front put forth as a second burst shot out along the trajectory of the shuriken, effectively stopping them in their track. As they exploded the sand just rebuilt itself, heading towards Ryota to add itself to the original attack, intending to hold him down. As the spray of sand and glass came in from above, and the grasping sand from below, David blinked. The boy seemed to put explosives on everything, and also seemed to enjoy putting delays on them. Thus... Quickly fishing into his pouch for the shuriken he had caught, David launched it back, through the middle of the two attacks. if there was another delayed explosive on it, he wanted it returned to sender. [Chakra Point Total: 28/35]

I'll plan battles ahead of time if they affect the course of the story, but this is a test. I want to see how good you really are, and letting myself lose just does not fit into that. I want to see how you react to inevitable doom, not how far ahead you can plan an attack. ))

With Mars' type of fighting style, Pi Qua Quan would be the perfect compliment, as it was revered for its famous counter attacks. However, until the Kage makes time for her, Mars would just have to wait. The fourteen year old easily walked over the sand, her years of growing up in such a harsh environment allowing her the experience of finding good paths within the sand dunes. Walking onto the crest of one, her curious piercing gaze noticed two individuals looking younger than her own age sparring. Walking a little closer, she sat down in the sand, resting in the shade of a dune, watching the battle curiously and with only vague interest.

(( Sounds good, I'll be sure to jump it up a bit. This is a spar, two kids having fun. It may not look like it, but it is. Plus, you can't exactly say we can't fight here when the area was made for a battle. I'm gonna cut it short soon anyways, our time zones are too different to have such a close interaction in the main RP. ))
