"Of course I do." She smiled, holding the tray out so Alex could take a mug. Victor was sitting on the couch, glancing at the television then leaned forward to grab a mug. "Victor, did you make sure that the garage door was locked?" Emelia asked, taking a seat on one of the other large chairs. "I'll do that after." He said, looking into his mug. He gulped down the rest then stood, grabbing the keys to lock it if it was unlocked. By the time he got to the garage, it was already pouring. He grabbed onto the door knob, turned and pulled it open. Victor walked in, turning on the lights, checking every single space he could. He wanted to make sure that nobody had gotten in.

The vampire left, locking it behind him then walking back to the house, drenched from the rain. "This is ridiculous!" He groaned from the front door. He stood on the porch, getting all the water out of his hair. "You should have taken a coat or an umbrella." Emelia scolded as she grabbed a towel and handed it to him. Victor set it over his head and rubbed his hair, walking in then up the steps. He wasn't going to stay in wet clothes.

He grabbed jeans and a long sleeved shirt, taking his clothes off, drying him off with the towel then slipping into the dry clothes. He sighed to himself as he dried his hair again, going into the bathroom, brushing it out. He stopped when he spotted Alex's bag on the counter. Setting the brush down, Victor continued to stare at the bag. He actually wouldn't mind if he wanted to move in. It was nice talking to somebody else aside from Emelia.

Victor grabbed the hair dryer, drying his hair. He didn't want to have to wait for his hair to dry. Besides, the hot air felt really good on his cold skin. He smiled, turning his back, leaning against the counter. Victor had his green eyes closed as he lifted the hair dryer to his face.

Rainieri glared at Alex as he moved around the kitchen, making dinner. He hated the kid. In Rainieri's eye, Alex was trying to hard. He crossed his arms over his chest and mumbled when Alex asked about allergies. He continued to mumble on, trying to ignore him the best he could. If only he could kill him. But no. Victor would know and he wouldn't be happy at all since he obviously liked the kid.

Emelia laughed and shook her head. "No dear, no allergies. That kind of stuff goes away once you change into a vampire." Which was good, because when Emelia was human she was allergic to shell fish, and now she could eat it. "Do you need any help Alex?" She offered as she walked into the kitchen and looked at what he was making.

Victor finished up and came back down stairs in dry clothes and his skin and hair dry. "What are you making?" He asked from the living room as he looked into the kitchen. Looking over, Victor saw Rainieri glaring at Alex from where he sat. Victor leaned over and swatted the back of Rainieri's head, shaking his head at him.

"Oh... sounds good." Victor headed into the kitchen and looked over Alex's shoulder. Before the oil got hot, Victor reached down into the pan and grabbed a small piece of garlic eating it. He personally loved garlic, and it wasn't a problem to them. He gave a small pleased moan at the taste of garlic then moved to Emelia. "You're horrible at that." He teased, getting a face full of dressing. "Hey!" Victor laughed as he wiped his face off with his hands then went over to the sink to clean his face off.

Emelia stuck her tongue out at him then went back to making the salad finishing up quickly. Victor and Emelia busied themselves with cleaning up, having nothing better to do. Rainieri still sitting on the large arm chair, staring at the television with a disgruntled face, still not pleased with everything.

Victor went back over to Alex and leaned on the counter next to him. "Did you teach yourself how to cook?" He asked as he watched the teen's face.

Victor looked at Alex sadly. He reached out and gently touched Alex's hair. "Well you don't have to worry about that anymore." He said softly, smiling as he dropped his hand. "We'll let you know." Victor smiled then went to the table. He had to admit that Alex was brave for approaching Rainieri and telling him he was welcomed to dinner with them.

Victor was at the table, glasses filled with drink for them. "Thank you Alex." The vampire leaned over the table and kissed the teen's forehead. Emelia nodded, thanking him as well, getting their fair share. Rainieri came in and sat down, getting food without bothering to say a thing.

He would have been fine with Alex if the whole situation of Victor attacking Alex had never happened. But he blamed Alex for what happened, he always blamed the humans. There were a few casual conversations tossed around the table, Rainieri joining in a few selected ones. A peaceful dinner for once, no words were uttered to cause harm. Rainieri was grumpy, as usual. But other then that it was all fine.

Victor laughed and set his utensils down. "Yeah we do. I have work and you have an education. We both have to go back to school Alex." He smiled at the teen. It was nice to be at home comfortably. He was usually moving from city to city, state to state so much because of the hunters. He was glad that he had found a great place to call home, somewhere he could relax easily.

"Don't worry Alex, it won't be too bad. You can just hand out in my room for breaks." Victor finished his meal. picking up his and Rainieri's dirty dishes, washing them in the sink. He leaned against the sink counter, drying his hands off. "Besides, you can always come back here after school." Victor smiled again.

Emelia finished her meal, thanked Alex and washer her things. Rainieri left to his room so he could get away from the three of them.

"No, no of course not." Victor shook his head, helping Alex clean up the kitchen. "Sorry about Rainieri, he'll get over it soon hopefully. It's been a while so he should." Victor nodded slightly. He rubbed the back of his head then looked over at Alex. "Anything you wanted to do? Get a movie, get some sweets, um,go for a ride?" Victor could think of a few things to do, but since Alex was a minor it was illegal, which he found to be a stupid law because plenty of people in the past married young others. But all aside from that, Victor had to push those thoughts out of his head, because Alex was not only a minor but his student, and if anything slipped about them, then he wouldn't be able to ever see Alex ever again.

It was hard to think of anything to do; vampires weren't the best at entertaining, never were. They found joy in the small things. Reading, cooking, just sitting there. Well that was on the down time, their free time was a different story.

"Victor! Somebody at the door for you!" Rainieri called from the front room. The man glanced at Alex then walked out. Of course there was the last man he wanted to see, the man who was trying to make him and Emelia take on fledglings.

Victor walked straight out, closing the front door behind him. Victor's angry voice could easily be heard yelling at the man. He wasn't happy at all that he decided to show up, especially with Rainieri there. He and Emelia had declined and there he was. The man pointed to the car he came in, and there was the teen Victor was supposed to turn, the other one dropped out of the offer. After a few more minutes, the man left and Victor came back in. "What was that about?" Rainieri asked as he came back in and began to lead Alex up stairs. "Nothing." Victor mumbled and led Alex into his room, closing the door behind him. "Sorry, I don't want to be down there. There's some movies up in here we can watch." He opened a large cabinet, the bottom half filled with movies and the top holding the television. It was in the perfect spot, laying back on the bed, the screen could easily be seen. "Choose."

Victor changed while Alex looked through the movies. He pulled his shirt over his head, tossing the shirt into the hamper. He walked over and placed his finger on one. "I got kicked out from the theater from this one because I was laughing." His finger rested on a dvd called Nosferatu. "I went back the next night and saw it. Wasn't bad actually." he shrugged and walked back over to where he was before. The man took his pants off, tossing those into the hamper. He now stood only in his boxers and socks.

The man stretched for a bit and scratched his back before pulling on some flannel pajama bottoms. "Found one yet?" He asked Alex as he went over to him and knelt behind him. "There's more in the back." Victor reached in and pulled the front row out, revealing more. It was a huge collection, made up up Victor's and Emelia's movies. She had put them in his room when she got there, just to get them out of the way.

Victor walked back over to the bed, pulling back the covers, fluffing up the pillows, getting it ready to lay back and watch a movie then bed. "Do you want some popcorn and soda?" He asked Alex from the bed. He was setting the alarm clock on the bedside table. They both needed that to get up for school. Victor was either going to have to walk or take his motorcycle and Alex, he might have to drive himself or walk with him. He couldn't go to the school with a student on the back of his motorcycle. It'd raise too many questions, questions that didn't need to be asked, and would only get them both into trouble.

Victor chuckled lightly from the bed. "Why not all?" Victor walked over to the door. "Just watched each one until we fall asleep." He smiled at Alex, leaving the room. Rainieri stopped him to talk a little bit about what happened. "So who were they?" He stood in the door way while Victor made popcorn off the stove in a pot. It was better than the microwave popcorn, it was homemade. "Nobody really." Victor sighed and pulled the pot off the stove, taking off the lid and dumping the popcorn into a large bowl, filling it. He put some salt over it and he grabbed the water bottle for Alex and synthetics for himself, taking it back up stairs.

He walked into the bedroom, the bowl in one hand and the drinks under his arm. "All done?" He asked as he set everything down. Victor turned on the television and looked through the movies. "So which one first?" He set them down and started the dvd player, his back to Alex so he could get himself ready for bed.

Well... Victor glanced over his shoulder at Alex at the right moment, because he caught a glimpse of him without being seen. Victor smiled to himself, as he opened up a random case and put the disk into the player. He still smiled as he pressed play and grabbed the remote, turning around and tossing it onto the bed. Gathering up the popcorn and drinks, Victor brought them over and set them aside as well so he could climb in.
