Akasha giggled at the pictures and started to put the stuff away, "That Kanazashi is quite beautiful, I think it fits you nicely." Akasha said as she started to move the box back to the back room. She came back out and bowed to Miharu.
"Hello welcome to the salon." She came up from the bow and said with a smile, "I'm not sure if we are accepting employees at the moment. You may come in and speak to Kioku-san, the owner, and ask her." She lead the maiko to Kioku.
"Kioku this maiko wants to know if there are any openings." She asked Kioku .

angel_baby_4 Sayuri smiled at her maiko. "The first thing you must learn to do is to trust yourself, Ao-sagi-chan," Sayuri began. "We will choose the sakura one, if that is the one you believe would look best. I must say that I agree completely. You have fine taste for a maiko." Sayuri turned to the others. "Would you mind if I placed it in her hair?" "Thank you for the praise, Sayuri-sama, though I do not know if I deserve it... I was merely choosing the one I tought I would be able to wear with more confidence..." She held her breath as the head geishas delicate fingers nimbly wove the ornaments into her new hairdo. Her scalp was throbbing in some places, but she hoped she would get used to it, eventually.

Kioku, the salon owner, walked over the the maiko, bowed and said, 'We currently have one opening because my one employee still hasn't shown up. Are you interested in being a hairdresser, cleaning up the salon or which kind of job? I might be able to let you work here but I will see how things work out.' She said while standing in the doorway.

Shagatsu walked up to the door of the salon and bowed before walking in. Not knowing whether it was polite to see geisha's here, he looked at the ground and said " excuse me, but may i speak to the owner or employer of this shop? I am interested in making combs and hairpieces."

Nishiko finished stirring the wax and turned around to see the new addition to the staff of the salon. She knew that Kioku had always been a good judge of people. She walked over to Kioku and smiled to the newest member of the staff.
"Welcome to the salon, I am Nishiko, the assistant manager." She bowed to Miharu in greeting. As she rose up from her bow, she noticed a man at the door. She would have parted from the new comer, but someone would have to show her around.

'Welcome to our salon, Miharu, you can assist as a maid then.' Yokome said with a smile.
She then turned her attention towards the customer at the doorway and walked over to him. 'Welcome to the Geisha Kioku Salon,' Kioku said while bowing her head. 'I am the owner. So you are interested in hair pieces? We have plenty out on display over here' She said pointing to a little table. 'We have them in all sorts of colors. Are you sure what type of kanazani you want? ((You can see examples on the first page)) We also have a hair ornament specialist that can give you ornaments that match to certian kimonos. Do you have anything in mind, sir?'

"hi, i was actually wondering if i could make hair peices for you." He pulled out a wooden comb intricately carved with flowers and leaves on the side.
"I need to paint it of course but i have not found any paint yet."

'My apologies, I misunderstood. That is wonderful! You are very skilled. We would love to have someone make the hair ornaments rather than me having to travel twice a year to buy them. They are stunning. We would love to have you make them.' Kioku made a deep bow to the man. Kioku turned to the others in the salon, 'What do you think ladies? Don't you think that comb is stunning?!'

"it will look better once i have found paint. Ive looked all over this town! I may have to amke my own. but it will look better!" He said, still looking down. He didnt know if it was polite to see geisha's and maiko's here like this.

"Thanks very much, it is a pleasure to be hired."
Miharu watched the man enter and show his wears, which were amazingly hand crafted. She then decided to make herself useful and found a broom, and began to sweep.

"You're very welcome. What is your name, little maiko?" She asked while still smiling, "I'll give you a tour of the salon and tell where things go, etc."
She tried her best to be useful and be active in the salon, instead of being stuck in the back with the books. It wasn't fun, but someone had to do it.

"It is beautiful!" Ayami said, looking at the comb. "You know Kioku-san, this could very well cut costs for the travel that you go through every year to get the kanazashi from other places!"

"The comb is lovely," Ayami confirmed. "I haven't seen any of his kanazashi yet so I cannot be certain, but it is true that we keep a low number of combs each year. I think putting a few of his combs on display wouldn't hurt us in the least. If the geisha and maiko like them, it'd be a very easy way to save money." Ayami's smile turned thoughtful. "But it'd be lovely if you could give us a show of your kanazashi Shagatsu-san. Kanazashi cost more than combs after all..."
